how much knowledge about the novels these plots are based on do you think is necessary to join this group?
Not much at all! The very basic premise is in the biographies, and after that players are not required to follow any other part of the book. I’d honestly say that you can watch the trailer of the movie and understand what I was going for.
I will say that I changed some parts of the biographies to purposefully not match the movies/books, so the biography should be considered more of the basis for the character than the movies.

Any applications yet?
As of now, no. I just got home from work, so I’ll be queueing up ads and hopefully getting the word out there more.
That means Kitty, Quinn, Jake, Rachel, and Ryder are all open and with no shown interest yet -- so if you’re interested in any of them, now is your chance!

RACHEL BERRY is a 25-YEAR-OLD resident of Dent, South Carolina. She is currently an ACTRESS AND PERFORMER. She is based on NOAH CALHOUN from THE NOTEBOOK and has the endgame of FABERRY.
THE STORY SO FAR.
Rachel Berry’s life wasn’t easy -- not even close. Her family being the first to feature a same-gender marriage as her parents with an adopted Jewish daughter, the people of Dent could only try so hard at pretending not to notice. The underestimations of their ability only made the Berry’s that much more ambitious to show people that they could transcend the simple life of South Carolina. It was especially true for the young girl in the family, as Rachel was able to take all negative energy given to her and transform it into drive to become better than her expectations. This could come off as selfishness and high-strung to the others around her, resulting in very few friends throughout school and beyond. Even then, Rachel’s intent was never to malicious or argumentative. Her only goal was to become a star.
Waiting for graduation was like waiting for a jail cell to open, the final thing necessary to fully escape and begin life new. When graduation passed and she was set to move to New York in the fall -- there was an unknown obstacle standing in her way. It was a summer that she and Quinn Fabray would but aside their differences and spend nearly each day and night. The exact details of the summer are only known to the two girls, especially since they made sure to avoid any of the other residents knowing. It wasn’t until Rachel’s proposal that the two of them run off to New York City together to create a new life that it all came to a halt, with Rachel eventually leaving and Quinn staying in Dent.
Beginning in New York was more difficult than initially thought. With enough hope that she’d be able to find work quickly, the realities of trying to become a performer in New York hit like a brick wall. Beginning as a waitress before working up to assisting on smaller productions, the road to becoming a star was harder than anticipated. After seven years, the window finally opened. Being offered the leading role of a new musical -- Rachel finally had the opportunity to make a name for herself. With rehearsals set to begin sometime in the fall or winter, Rachel made the decision to visit Dent one last time. Quinn still on her mind, she hopes that one last attempt at convincing her that New York can be a viable option for the two of them will result in a different answer.
NOTABLE CONNECTIONS.
BLAINE ANDERSON. As the summer in Dent begins, Rachel and Blaine share a special commonality that few others can boast: they left Dent. Now only there for holidays, vacations, or time off, they were able to keep their word on being able to escape the shackles of the town. Rachel beginning her career in New York, Blaine having his opportunities in Washington D.C., the two of them figure that they’re set to be the first famous individuals from Dent. While unspoken between them, they did not escape without their own tethers to South Carolina. Rachel in the form of a blonde girl from her youth, Blaine in the loss of a special individual. They hold their heads high around the community, but both know the feeling of having Dent’s roots buried too deep to ever dig up.
JAKE PUCKERMAN. With Rachel being more than skeptical of the mysterious stranger in Dent and Jake being less than prepared to handle someone as high-strung as Rachel -- it was clear from the beginning that the two of them would get off on the wrong foot. An accidental run-in on the street quickly became a long string of questions and deflections until the two of them had decided their opinions of each other. With the new knowledge that Jake shouldn’t interrupt Rachel when she goes on a roll with words, and Rachel has learned that her typical line of questioning doesn’t seem to work with him... yet. As much as she wants to know why someone would willingly come to Dent and choose to stay, it’s becoming a balancing act between her curiosity and desire not to drive herself crazy.
QUINN FABRAY.  Many knew Rachel and Quinn as the two girls that weren’t afraid to disagree with each other. Being in the same grade since preschool gave them plenty of opportunities for disagreements throughout the years. Quinn Fabray being the embodiment of perfection without trying and Rachel struggling to make a mark despite having the ambition worthy of a full-speed train – the two seemed to be complete opposites. Which is why their summer together took them both by surprise, even if they both knew deep down that there were complexities to their dynamic. Rachel dreamed of running away with Quinn at the end of the summer, but Quinn decided to stay in Dent. Since that decision, the two haven’t seen or spoken to each other.

QUINN FABRAY is a 25-YEAR-OLD resident of Dent, South Carolina. She is currently a WRITER AND MANUSCRIPT EDITOR. She is based on ALLIE HAMILTON from THE NOTEBOOK and has the endgame of FABERRY.
THE STORY SO FAR.
The Fabrays are the closest to a ‘founding family’ that dent has. They have been known to be highly involved in the politics and public service of Dent since the early 1900′s, accumulating to Russell Fabray running for mayor early in Quinn’s youth. Winning by a landslide, that election set the stage for years of scrutiny and pressure from her parents. Being the mayor’s daughter came with expectations -- from joining the cheerleading squad to becoming Miss Teen Dent three years straight. Everything in her life was set out for her, her trajectory was set. Any efforts to rebel were suppressed by her family from the local paper, even on the nights she made sure her father had too many glasses of whiskey to see her sneaking out. By the time she was a senior, attempts to break away from her family’s brand had been all but extinguished. Until the summer after graduating, the summer that would change her life forever.
Witnessing all the peers she grew up with leaving was hard, harder than she’d ever admit. There was a feeling that Dent would be her past, present, and future -- no matter how hard she tried to fight it. Choosing not to fight her destiny, she also choose not to fight something else that had been weighing on her. The entire summer was spent with Rachel Berry, the daughter of a poorer family. Their meetings were entirely in secret, doing their best to stay out of the public eye, but nobody knows the true meaning of that summer besides the two girls. It wasn’t until the summer was nearly over and Rachel was dead set on the two of them running away to New York City that it all came crashing down. Quinn stayed in Dent and Rachel promised to return once she became a star, hoping that times would change enough to give Quinn room to take the leap with her.
After that summer, it made fitting into the Fabray mold even that much harder. Not impossible, however, as Quinn quickly finished an English degree at the small, nearby university before returning to Dent for good. She became known as the girl that the writers from Charleston will come to get her opinion and help on their works. She has her own home down the street from her parents, and has recently become engaged to Dent’s very own Biff McIntosh. The summer with Rachel was pushed to the back of her mind, not having spoken to her since the summer she left. Her life is a storybook to many, especially the teenage girls of Dent. Even then, there still lies the question of how life could have been if she and Rachel ran off to New York. That question is especially at the forefront as, rumor has it, Rachel is back in Dent.
NOTABLE CONNECTIONS.
RYDER LYNN.  Being the children of two of the most established families in Dent bonded two unlikely friends more than most would’ve expected. With Quinn being the daughter of the long-time mayor and Lynn’s family owning the stable store in town, all eyes were on them in their youth. Quinn as a cheerleader and Ryder as the quarterback didn’t help with the rumors that the two families were pushing their children together romantically. It was a frustration that the two of them could only understand, giving each of them a place to vent. Quinn even helped Ryder admit his feelings for Madison and make the first move, a push that Ryder was always thankful for. Ryder even accepted the task of being Quinn’s alibi for the last summer of their senior year, despite never being told where Quinn really was. Honestly, he respected her enough not to ask.
KITTY WILDE.  Hiding in a small town was soon discovered by Kitty to be an oxymoron. The moment she set foot in the small town, it seemed people were beginning to make their way to her rental with questions, inquiries, and rumors. It wasn’t until Quinn Fabray stopped by on Kitty’s first week in town that she didn’t feel interrogated. With the fresh smell of cookies, the presence of another blonde that didn’t pry was more than welcomed. As odd as it seemed to both of them, an unlikely friendship was formed between the new face and the founding family’s daughter. Kitty, having the eye that she does, is even beginning to give some advice on the wedding. Luckily, it’s something for the two of them to talk about that doesn’t revolve around the gossip surrounding them both.
RACHEL BERRY. Many knew Rachel and Quinn as the two girls that weren’t afraid to disagree with each other. Being in the same grade since preschool gave them plenty of opportunities for disagreements throughout the years. Quinn Fabray being the embodiment of perfection without trying and Rachel struggling to make a mark despite having the ambition worthy of a full-speed train -- the two seemed to be complete opposites. RYDER LYNN is a 25-YEAR-OLD resident of Dent, South Carolina. He is currently the OWNER AND OPERATOR OF LYNN GENERAL. He is based on ALEX WHEATLEY from SAFE HAVEN and has the endgame of KYDER.
THE STORY SO FAR.
The path of the Lynn family was paved with good intentions. From coming to the town in order to start the only general store in the county to pushing their son to be the star of the city -- it was all based on the best of intentions, but the results were much different. Ryder was never one to falter under the pressure, but he was never one to live in it. The dream of him owning the store after his parents was never him, the dream of being the quarterback was never him, the dream of marrying Quinn Fabray and being happily ever after in Dent was never him. Knowing what was him was the problem, and was the only consistent question in his mind throughout his youth. It wasn’t until he was sixteen that he saw her and realized the answer -- Madison McCarthy.
On a Tuesday after Madison’s eighteenth birthday, Ryder and his new wife left the Dent court house hand-in-hand. The clerk had called his parents moments after the deal was done, but any efforts to get the two to undo their deed proved moot. After days of fighting and resistance from Ryder’s family, a compromise was made. Ryder would take over the business and his family would accept Madison as his wife -- a  deal too easy to make. To Ryder, having his wife and beginning his family was his true purpose. A few years later, they had their daughter, Lexie. A year and a half after they introduced her into the world, Dent said goodbye to Madison after a tragic accident. Just like that, Ryder was lost again.
Ryder and Lexie, now a bright-eyed five year old girl, are the sole workers of Lynn’s General. His parents had left to Charleston to enjoy their retirement, leaving their son and granddaughter to feel some relief of their loosened grip. Even then, Ryder can fully admit that he is flying blind in regards to raising a daughter. Still shackled by the grief of his wife, the townspeople use softer gloves when making their purchases at Lynn’s. Ryder still lives in the same home that he shared with his wife, her things still packed away in the drawers.
NOTABLE CONNECTIONS.

Ryder even accepted the task of being Quinn’s alibi for the last summer of their senior year, despite never being told where Quinn really was. Honestly, he respected her enough not to ask.
MARLEY ROSE.  The two were all but strangers in high school. Poor girl from the outskirts of town and the football star – the only thing they each knew was their names. Following Madison and Emmett’s deaths, the two finally had a commonality in their grief to relate to each other over. It was almost sad that they don’t have much else to share sad looks over, until Lexie turned five and could finally attend kindergarten. With Marley as her teacher, the two were able to become close and Ryder finally found a little help with Lexie. In emergency situations, Marley always heads to the Rose’s property first for help with Lexie. It’s become harder now that Marley is needing to help her mother, but they still have momentary conversations to check in with each other.
KITTY WILDE. In a town with one general store, avoiding the manager is all but impossible. With Kitty stocking up on all the basics in her new home, Ryder Lynn turned out to be more of a nuisance than anything else. A constant flow of questions and good intentions, nothing spells more of a problem for Kitty than a genuine interest in her original roots. As much as sneaking through the isles gives her a few moments of stealth, Ryder’s daughter always finds a way to say hello and reel her into a short conversation. By that point, any attempt to avoid the pleasantries becomes futile. Even if he sees how much she’s hiding, there’s something that makes him wonder if there’s something deeper than the new girl with a chip on her shoulder.

KATERINE KITTY WILDE is a 24-YEAR-OLD resident of Dent, South Carolina. She is currently a WAITRESS AT ‘THE SHACK’. She is based on ERIN/KATIE from SAFE HAVEN and has the endgame of KYDER.
THE STORY SO FAR.
Being hard was her default. From a young age, the lawyers she called mom and dad taught her that armor was the most valuable thing you could have, especially in the face of uncertainty. It wasn’t a surprise that she learned ruthlessness from them, it was even less of a surprise that she used it to her advantage. It was going to be her ride to the top of the corporate ladder, she was sure of it. Penthouse offices, assistants to cater to every whim, projects with her name written on them in silky black ink: they were the only thoughts she needed to push herself further with each venture. The most satisfying feeling imaginable: she felt as untouchable as she truly was.
Her taste for blood was one thing, her taste of men was something else. As together as she seemed, there was always some drive to find the ones needing fixed. If she could push herself to excellence, surely she could push others. Even with all the red flags, something within her said that she could change them. Mistake after mistake, she soon found herself in unfamiliar territory -- fear. Ground that could only be described as life altering. Details were always pushed to the back of her mind, but she soon needed change. Katherine wasn’t going to survive, she had to adapt. Armor had to be her mask, and Kitty was the best chance at leading an undisturbed life. Kitty found a new home in Dent, a small dot on a map from the random gas station. Despite the knife hanging by a thread over her, something about starting over was exactly what she needed.
Just days in Dent, it’s suffocating. Each person realizes that she doesn’t belong, but there’s no choice for her. Until she can figure out what to do next, suffering as a waitress is how her days have to pass. There’s an old shack out near the woods with a ‘For Rent’ sign. It’s good enough to live in, but not much else. Blending in isn’t working, but not in the way that she feared. Dodging questions, never letting the armor crack, and keeping her head above the rolling tides of Dent are her best hopes. Even if the people are assuming the worst of her, there’s only one thing she reminds herself of -- surviving.

SAM EVANS. At first he thought finding a girl that can match him shot for shot in whiskey was only an idea in Carrie Underwood songs. It wasn’t until he met Kitty Wilde that he experienced a hangover for the first time in five years, and found his go-to partner for each trip to the bars. It’s easy to tell that she’s not one to share her story, regardless of how many theories Sam throws at her. Even though it’d be easy to get tired of that game, there’s something about their dynamic that keeps them coming back for a drink – or ten.

SAMUEL EVANS is a 25-YEAR-OLD visitor of Dent, South Carolina. He is currently a BULL RIDER AND PERFORMING DARE DEVIL. He is based on LUKE COLLINS from THE LONGEST RIDE and has the endgame of BLAM.
THE STORY SO FAR.
Life in Tennessee was rougher than he’d like to admit. His family had to survive somehow, even if it meant his father doing demeaning work and his mom cleaning houses each night. Money was stretched to the limit, and even beyond. As his siblings grew up, it wasn’t enough. New shoes, winter jackets, money for field trips; Sam couldn’t bear to see them experiencing any less than the other kids in their neighborhood. It soon lead him to the solution that changed his life: taking the small bets in the local street racing. It helped, but he found another problem in the process. The thrill? It was addictive.
He got good at ignoring the physiological responses telling him to slow down, or to stop, or to run away -- so good that he was able to make a career of it. It was the closest thing to preforming that he could ever imagine himself doing, but bull riding soon became the only thing that could keep him on his toes. Night after night, each ride was different. Nobody could stop him, the cheering crowd echoed in his ears each night. It wasn’t until the night that he was carried away from the ring with four broken ribs, a cracked skull, and multiple breaks in his leg that the sliver of doubt crept into his mind. Even then, the money and exhilaration were too good, and his body wasn’t anything that a metal plate and a few pins couldn’t fix. Almost a year after his injury, he was riding once again.
Travelling to different places became routine, only the ride mattering. It wasn’t until he was booked for a summer-long show in Dent, South Carolina that he realized how slow life could be. And, honestly? He didn’t hate it. The folks were nice enough, the shows were only on weekends, and it gave him the time to call his family every once in a while. Even past the aches and pains of his job, there were things that he could find enjoyable once in a while. Never imagining giving his lifestyle up, it was a start to remembering how different life could be.
NOTABLE CONNECTIONS.
JAKE PUCKERMAN. Two new guys in town, both in need of some place to stay, neither in a line of work that can pay for a solo apartment. It seemed natural that the two of them would find each other in a bar on their first nights and realize how they can help each other. The next day they signed for a ran-down apartment near the marina, just enough time to last the summer. For being near strangers, the two have found a certain groove to living together. Neither of them pry into each other’s lives, and they switch off-and-on for ordering pizza on late nights. If it wasn’t for the really weird smell that come off the marina when the fishermen come in from a catch, it’d be a perfect situation.
KITTY WILDE. At first he thought finding a girl that can match him shot for shot in whiskey was only an idea in Carrie Underwood songs. Even though it’d be easy to get tired of that game, there’s something about their dynamic that keeps them coming back for a drink -- or ten.
BLAINE ANDERSON. Blaine’s life of detailing thesis after thesis has prepared him for one thing, preparation itself. His three, five, and ten year plans are right on schedule, just as he always hoped it would be. With his last summer in Dent, it turned out that a performance cowboy from Tennessee would be the only thing standing between him and a final thesis that could secure his internship in D.C. Sam Evans is reckless, spontaneous, and has a head big enough to fit the ten-gallon he wears. Even then, there’s something fun about one last summer of excitement before D.C., and Sam see’s something unique in the man that is buried in art history books each time he sees him around town.

BLAINE ANDERSON is a 25-YEAR-OLD resident of Dent, South Carolina. He is currently a GRADUATE STUDENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA. He is based on SOPHIA DANKO from THE LONGEST RIDE and has the endgame of BLAM.
THE STORY SO FAR.
Dent was always a pond that was way too small. Even the deep friendships, the wild summer nights, the kindness that came naturally with small town life -- none of it made the stifled opportunities worth it. Even from a young age, Blaine Anderson was determined to find his way out. It always amazed him that his parents could give up life in Boston to experience the Carolina coast instead, but that mistake wouldn’t be one repeated by another Anderson. Even Emmett Rose, a friend that Blaine knew could never be replaced by any other individual, couldn’t convince him to stay. His junior year of high school was when he discovered his acceptance to the University of Virginia, the acceptance letter acting as his golden ticket out of Dent. Not even close to any of the metropolitan cities of his dreams, but a definite start.
Though an adjustment, the fast-paced life of university grew on Blaine quicker than a weed. A life that used to be consumed by trips to the beaches or seeing the same movie at the only theater in town was now taken over by papers, study sessions in the library, drinking coffee in the hipster cafes that he could only imagine. The trips to Dent that filled the hole of homesickness slowly changed into occasional obligations for his family. Eventually, Dent became a passing thought. Four years flew by, even going on for a graduate degree in art history. It wasn’t until the news of Emmett made it’s way to him that his academic mind came to a halt. For the first time since leaving Dent, he felt the one thing that each person predicted he’d experience: guilt.
It’s his first full summer in Dent since his freshman year, a godsend that his program is allowing his final thesis to be completed over the summer. They were understanding of his semester-long slump following the loss of Emmett, thanks to his stellar rapport with the faculty and the promise that it’d be a thesis they’d never forget. There’s too much riding on his last paper, especially considering there’s a rumor that he is one of the last individuals considered for the Smithsonian internship in Washington D.C. Still, being back in Dent is flooding him with memories of reckless summers. Especially since there seems to be a new rodeo show in town.
NOTABLE CONNECTIONS.
MARLEY ROSE.  While Blaine and Marley never spent time together alone, Blaine was one of Emmett Rose’s best friends growing up. The two boys were nearly inseparable, especially on summer nights. Marley was the little sister that always tried to tag along on their adventures, but was mostly relegated to setting an extra place on the table for Blaine and listening to their stories over dinner. Blaine and Emmett last saw each other on the day Blaine left for the University of Virginia, just a few weeks before Emmett would leave for basic training. It was a day that Marley and Blaine learned to remember well after Emmett was considered killed in action only three years later. Blaine was not at the funeral in Dent, but there was always a part of Marley that understood his reasons for not showing. Now both adults and in Dent together again, the two share an unspeakable bond of mourning and mutual support
RACHEL BERRY. JAKE PUCKERMAN is a 25-YEAR-OLD resident of Dent, South Carolina. He is currently a VETERAN AND LABORER FOR MILLIE ROSE. He is based on LOGAN THIBAULT from THE LUCKY ONE and has the endgame of JARLEY.
THE STORY SO FAR.
The opportunities in the inner city of Denver were not kind to families like the Puckermans. Battling hardship most of their lives, Jake was faced with a choice once he reached adulthood: try his hand at college or odd jobs around the city, or hope that the recruiters that found him at the crumbling high school would make good in their promise of benefits. Seeing his exhausted mother wearing herself down the bone, the choice was clear. Basic wasn’t too hard, despite their attempts at wearing him down to a faceless soldier. It was combat that broke him. Multiple deployments. Multiple near death experiences, including one that was prevented by the chance of finding a photo of a smiling blonde in the wreckage of a raid, and he returned to the United States as a completely different man.
Jake’s return to the states was less relieving than initially imagined. Now riddled with PTSD and guilt over the events he witnessed, settling back into Denver was never going to be possible for him. The photo that saved his life still tucked into his wallet, the mission was different than reintegration. It was finding the smiling face in the photo, no other words could describe why other than an intense need to meet the person that indirectly and accidentally saved his life from sure death. Most of the veteran benefits he left to his mom, only taking his dog, a backpack, and twenty dollars on his mission to find some closure
It took months to find the right lighthouse in the photo, and only days after to find the right woman. Finding her wasn’t enough as it turned out. Seeing her in person was indescribable, there was no way he could walk away. Seeing the opportunity of helping her family restore their property, which was admittedly pretty messed up, he was able to find a way to keep returning. Everything else came naturally, and the weeks at Dent began to pass.
NOTABLE CONNECTIONS.
SAM EVANS. If it wasn’t for the really weird smell that come off the marina when the fishermen come in from a catch, it’d be a perfect situation.
RACHEL BERRY.
MARLEY ROSE.  The stranger that wandered into Dent, it was a more notable event than Jake gives it credit for. Mysterious in the reasons he ended up in the small town that could bore any person to the bone, Marley was apprehensive when Millie hired him on to help with the Rose property. Expecting him to leave within the week, it had since been almost three weeks that Jake had been in town. His presence at the home has been more familiar, and the help becoming more appreciated as Marley is able to release some of her own commitments to the work. Still, even as they pass with polite smiles, the two have barely had moments to talk alone.

MARLEY ROSE is a 24-YEAR-OLD resident of Dent, South Carolina. She is currently a TEACHER. She is based on BETH GREEN from THE LUCKY ONE and has the endgame of JARLEY.
THE STORY SO FAR.
The Rose’s were never a family to bargain with. After their father left early in their childhood, the remaining Rose’s were left barely being able to pay the bills. Millie worked multiple odd jobs around town, a sign to the entire community that the rumors were true regarding their circumstance. The matriarch of the family ran a tight ship, always pushing for her two children to defy the expectations of their impoverished reputation and to lead their peers in empathy and kindness to each other. Tight-knit, never willing to betray each other -- Emmett and Marley embodied their mother’s ideals, especially with each other. Throughout childhood they were inseparable, up until the day he left for basic training.
The days that followed Emmett being killed in action were the hardest moments of Marley’s life, each passing with pain that no other person in the world could understand. The moments of Emmett’s last day in Dent replaying in her head constantly; the words she should’ve said, the hug that could’ve lasted a few moments longer. Nothing was found of him, not even the photo she gave him the seconds before he entered the bus to go off to training. There were weeks that Marley relentlessly contacted any person involved in the army she could to find one last item that they could keep, one last thing to remember him from. Even then, there was no sense of closure that could be found for their broken family.
The only person more affected by Emmett’s death than Marley was her mother. Millie was inconsolable for days, barely leaving her bedroom. In those days, Marley sold her modest home and quickly moved into her childhood room. Without Emmett in Dent, the property had been in disarray. Without Emmett at all, their entire lives were shattered. The help that Marley could provide couldn’t cover all that was needed, but it was a start at them rebuilding their worlds.
NOTABLE CONNECTIONS.
BLAINE ANDERSON. While Blaine and Marley never spent time together, Blaine was one of Emmett Rose’s best friends growing up. Now both adults and in Dent together again, the two share an unspeakable bond of mourning and mutual support.
RYDER LYNN. The two were all but strangers in high school. Poor girl from the outskirts of town and the football star -- the only thing they each knew was their names.
JAKE PUCKERMAN.
