I got a new drawing tablet that's a HUGE upgrade from my old one, it's one of the ones you can draw on the screen. Previously, I just has the smallest, cheapest Wacom. It's so weird to get used to being able to just... draw on the screen.

I want to start off by saying thank you to all y'all who left nice messages and checked in on me lately, it means a lot that so many people care, and even if I didn't respond directly to you, I saw you and I appreciate you.

I've been in a rough spot mentally for a long time now, even before that kerfuffle, but it was this one little thing that just sent me spiraling downward. I over-reacted, when I really should have just ignored it and moved on, but with so much going on in my life, I just snapped.

I don't want to leave entirely, though. I still love to draw and share what I've done with people, it's been one of the few things the past few years that's brought me joy. And I definitely don't want to give up on the massive projects that I've worked so hard on.

I won't be as interactive. I've erased all pending requests and from now on, I'm sticking strictly to what I want to draw. Sorry to those whose requests I didn't get to. I've turned anon off and the likelihood of me answering headcanon-related questions is low.

All I ask is that if you see something you disagree with in my art or in something I say, please just ignore it. It's better for both of us if you do. Unfollow me, Block me, do whatever you need to create a safe space for yourself, I won't hold that against you. I'm really not out here with the intent to hurt anyone.

Not meant in a fetishy way, but I feel like Numbuh 1 is the kind of kid who, if you tickle him, will either laugh but hate it or it'll just trigger his touch-starvation and he'll secretly kinda enjoy it.

I think I'm more inclined to the touch-starved Nigel headcanon tho.

I was actually literally thinking about this earlier today, not this exact scenario but like

I also really enjoy the thought of touch-starved Nigel. Like, the others think he's not really a touchy guy so they avoid it, but secretly he loves those little gestures. Someone touching his shoulder to alert him to his presence, when someone grabs him by the hand to lead him somewhere, Someone putting their hand on his back to comfort him etc. And he really does love hugs, even if he pretends he doesn't. He's got a tough leader persona to upkeep, but gosh darn it if he doesn't absolutely MELT when someone hugs him.

I've been thinking about it a lot in piecing together my modern au story when he's older too, not necessarily in a naughty sense, but he spends so much time away from his friends, for ten years he doesn't get any of that. He has strange people hooking him up to oxygen tubes, injecting him with needles to give him hydration, attaching monitoring devices to him, there's no love behind those gestures. Whenever he finally gets a hug from his friends upon his return, he's turned into putty and he doesn't want them to ever let go.

I also lowkey imagine him being kinda like a cat where he'll want attention, but he doesn't want to ask for it, so he just casually walks up to someone and bonks his head into their shoulder, hoping they'll reciprocate.

Some notes on Nigel from my modern adult AU, where all their adventures were just them playing pretend as kids and now they're grown up.

I always liked the cancer theory for Nigel, so I went with that. (what can I say, I love angst...) He left because the US healthcare system is a joke.

I made this for outfits, but it kinda just evolved into random notes.

I'm not really as big on DOING screencap redraws, but I enjoy seeing other people's! :> Idk, for me, I try to draw pretty close to the show's style, so doing a screencap redraw just seems like it wouldn't be that interesting coming from me.

But, I did one just for you :> I was originally going to do a different episode, but upon rewatching the end of INTERVIEWS I had to do this one. I took some liberties, like shoving them closer together, I hope that's okay lol

We all know the infamous scene in WHITEHOUSE that revealed Nigel may have had a crush on Kuki.

But hear me out.

What if he just never wanted to tell Abby the truth.

She found out he had a crush on someone that wasn't Lizzie so she pestered him about it, and in a fit of panic, he said it was Kuki because she's the only other girl in their sector.

He couldn't say the truth to her face because the person he had a crush on was her.

And that's why Nigel gave her that look in WHITEHOUSE, because even all these years later, she never figured it out.

Just a thought. Honestly, I have no qualms over 1 and 3 either, but I'm rabid for 1 x 5
