Minoriko scrounges up enough money to get something nice. Something she’s never owned before. Something only a shopkeeper like Rinnosuke could provide.

She gets home and there’s Mike just sitting there. She waves hello to her girlfriend and approaches her with the object behind her back. Immediately Mike’s intrigued, she can sense immediately that Minoriko decided to splurge on something; after all, she’s a very successful business cat, she knows these things. She wonders if it’s a shiny rock or some nice ability cards or something. The goddess explains that, no, it’s not either of those things. And so she fully unveils it.

It’s a laser pointer.

Mike’s week was officially made.

With March finally ending, the first ever Touhou Crack Month is officially drawing to a close! Now, that doesn't mean it's quite over yet. I will still be accepting late entries for the coming days, and in the future I'll probably be using this blog to celebrate crackships beyond the confines of the event.

This was quite a ride for me as it started from some random spitballing, and within 3 days I had a program, a form, a sideblog and various announcement posts at the ready, and somehow went through with it.

As of writing this, there are 14 works in the official AO3 collection, out of 22 individual participants. I didn't expect for so much to come out of this, and I am extremely thankful to every participant who submitted something to my silly event, it means a lot!

I also want to thank @que-de-metal for helping me iron out a few important details while the event was still a draft. I think it would have been much worse without your input!

Partly due to lack of foresight, this event took place during one of the rockiest months of my life, in both good and bad ways (those who follow my personal blog will understand), and it made for nice moments of respite to read what y'all came up with throughout this hectic period. Thank you all for that as well.

The way this first edition went certainly makes me want to try again next year, but until then,
