reblogging this on my main account so more people see it
For everyone here on my Tumblr I need y’all to stop what you’re doing and really lock in to the genocide happening in Gaza right now. I will post as many links as I can but the best you can do right now is be loud as fuck! About this.
TLDR Isreal has cut off all water, electricity and telecommunications within Gaza in a complete blackout and Gaza has lost their voice. Israel has already threatened to bomb Al Shifa hospital, which is currently a shelter for around 50k-60k Palestinians. These are images of Gaza Strip from an HOUR AGO. They are literally slaughtering and wiping out generations of Palestinians as we speak.
Please I need to see y’all talking about this and being loud for Palestine. Your anime yaoi twink hyperfixation will still be here tomorrow but literally thousands of innocent people may not.
oh you're in a horror film/book and your phone died/has no bars? how boring. I think phones in horror SHOULD work. they should ding only to have the protagonist check and find nothing. they should get calls from somebody you don't know but is still somehow in your contacts. google maps should lead you to one place, no matter what address you type in.
phones are such a big part of our daily lives, removing them from horror removes the horror from our experience. what if the horror felt like it could happen to you, right here, right now? what if it felt like it was already happening?
you call it bad taste. i call it the bravery of watching theatrical releases so innately consuming in the concept of their surreal existence, that would make most but merely fall to the ground, sobbing and writhing in a newfound agony, unfamiliar to them in every way. for i, joined in opinion by only the barest few, scattered across the world, have found a solice in such abstractness. found a message amongst the loud, howling screaming of the chaos. whereas others would let the confusion and disharmony wrap them in the thorn-covered blanket of hatred for the sheer, vast, abstract idea they've found themselves irreversibly ensnared in by playing the picture provided to them by a previous, potentially even unknowing purchase, a purchase to be later unfortunately regretted by the cruel hands of ignorance from the one who purchased the ticket to the ride of a roller-coaster, expecting a dark ride.
gerbos phone only has the letters of the people he knows and i think thats such a cute detail. it also made me realize that every (named) character in the bugbo series has an o in their name
