gosh I love this au. I'm glad we got a little bit of resolution, it's so good

:D im thrilled it still holds up after so long of being on pause! (Bc... Yes. This au, too, is just that. On pause, not finished)

I hope in the future i can offer more closure, bc I still have the aftermath recovery fic all blocked out to write and it definately touches several bases from recovery to falling in love with the others all over again(bc the intended relationships are LAMP, platonic dukexiety, and brotherly/familial anxceit, and Virgils memory loss extends to a few years before he and the others got together. Say early-college. He's going to remember who they are, but only as people he's met in passing.

The reality of it all definately sets in when Virgil realizes the engagement/promise ring he's wearing when he wakes up matches the rings of the other three, each with a written line of words engraved in it to add up into a finished quote. And. You know. When he's finally discharged and is taken to the large house they live in to find he has his own room with all his stuff. And its alot bc he last thing he remembers is living with Janus and being on shaky terms with Roman after Remus had a fall out w/ him(that's long since been resolved) and. It's. It's definately alot. For all parties involved.)

I really REALLY want to make this into a story and since you came up with the idea can I please do this (of course I won’t if you say no)

I'm actually in the process of turning this idea into a fic, and I plan to post it once I post the last set of comic strips to finish the comic up.

I suppose you can make a fic with your own take on this idea but I have my own plans for this specific idea, and im not really comfortable with someone else trying to take lead of this blog and its idea.

So, I've noticed Virgil has a lot of imagery associating him with right. As in, in the comics, he's on the right side of the bed, hia bangs cover the left side of his face, so looking at him its on the right side of his face. Death even touched the same side. This was intentional, right?

uhhhh i appreciate the deep analysis! but in this case its much more just because i’m right handed? xD I had never noticed the favoritism towards the right side until you brought it up. (also technically Death touched the middle of his forehead, tho again its like hard to see because the perspective is off, i get that!) whoops? ^^;

Ok. I has question- In the coma au Virgil’s....spirit(?) Can’t touch the others. Is the on purpose or coincidence?

I dunno if I ever mentioned that he can’t touch the others?? the only reason he doesn’t do so in the comic strips is just for the sake of duality in each strip, representing the divide keeping them apart. theoretically he could have touched them while in spirit form, but they wouldn’t have felt it. he learned that pretty quickly the first day he appeared, dazed and confused, when he went to hug Patton and phased right through him and fell to the floor. Virgil preferred not to touch them bc it’d just remind him he likely wouldn’t ever get to again.

Part 7 of the Coma au- A Foreboding Reveal

So, hey, op here! Just wanted to say/share something that i feel is important that i’ve learned in making this au. It’s hard to give the depth needed to represent true comatose experience, and so out of respect I do want to take note and let everyone know that i’m aware of the differences of true comatose, and fantasy comatose. Theres a massive difference, and i want to continue to give this au and it’s inspired concept the respect it deserves, and be honest and open that I’m not going to be able to represent the true comatose experience in a complete way that i would want to, especially not with these small vauge comic strips. So i just wanted to like, put that out there, that this au is going to lean more fantasy coma esque, but not to a full extent, with the knowledge that it does not completely reflect true comatose symptoms, but does try to come as close as comfortably possible. This comic strip is going to be putting a bigger focus on the memories and loss of such aspect. So yeah. Thats the kind of disclaimer I’ve been meaning to put out. Thank you.

I doubt we wouldn’t like it. Your stuff is heckin awesome! Just don’t stress yourself out too much. Also, if you can give a spoiler, would you say that it’s a happy, sad or neutral ending that you had in mind?

Honestly i would hand that spoiler over if the answer was as simple as that? ^^; but it isn’t, not quite. It’s definately a very subjective answer thats based on each dif personal point of view. Some might find it very sad, others find it a comforting ending, others see it as unsatisfyingly neutral. Just depends, and thats all i can really say?

Though, hopefully, the next panel i’m planning to put out will begin clear up why.
