Hi! I love your style analysis posts. I’d love to see one on a Victoria Secret/Beauty Pageant style analysis! I think they’re slightly similar in some ways 🪽. Thank you so much! :)

Hi ! First of all thank you for your sweet message 🫶🏻 I know it took me a while to get to it, sometimes I can't be as active here as I'd like to, so it takes a bit longer to answer properly

To get to your answer, I'd love to do this style analysis for you, but I struggled a little bit to put it together, here is why — first thing is I usually make it in a way where it's more of how this certain concept would be translated into a personal style/be taken as an inspiration, rather than the analysis of the concept itself, if that makes sense (I probably should've worded it differently when I first started on the idea of the series, but alas).

So secondly, while I could make a personal style inspired by victoria's secret/beauty pageants post, to make it in a way you requested would be a bit harder — you are right, they could both be categorized into beauty/glam part of the industry, so they are slightly similar in some ways — but one important thing that sets them apart from the rest of the concepts with such aesthetic, is that they both form it around some very sensitive and unrealistic beauty standards. So in order to draw the comparison to fit the type of the analysis, I'd either have to ignore the actual biggest similarity between them, that can be pretty harmful, or feed into it, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that (especially as someone who herself had a victoria's secret tumblr blog when I was younger, so I know the insecurities and the unrealistic beauty standards those things can help grow that you didn’t have before, it would be irresponsible of me to do so).

However all that being said I really wanted to do a post for you, especially since you were so nice about it, so you can look into more general concepts like girly girl, hyperfeminine and glam aesthetic — they are similar to what you requested, but more in a way where it actually helps you to connect with your inner femininity, rather than some unrealistic ideal no girl/woman can really reach. Maybe you will find something in there you will like, and if so feel free to come back ! 🫶🏻
