i am SICK and TIRED of people saying chikorita is a bad starter. just because the johto region starts off with a flying and bug gym does NOT mean you cant decently and cleverly use a chikorita. chikorita was the first pokemon i ever chose way back when i was 8 playing hgss for the first time. i was 8 and already knew how to play with chikorita better than all of you chikorita haters. u get a mareep for faulkner and a pidgey for bugsy and by that point u have plenty of pokemon to play the rest of the game nicely and use chikorita when it's smart to do so?? grass pokemon have a lot of weaknesses but if you used ur brain for more than .09 seconds it's super easy to know when they're good to use in battle?
i trained a BEAST of a meganium at 8 yrs old when i barely understood how to play the game like. if you actually tried then you'd appreciate the PERFECT BEING chikorita as much as i do.
also chikorita is ADORABLE. it's a leaf pear that turns into a fucking FLOWER SAUROPOD DINOSAUR. WHO WOULDNT LOVE THAT?!?
PEOPLE WITHOUT TASTE clearly
anyways fellow chikorita lovers mwah ily
chikorita haters dni😤😤😤🙅🙅

The Cubone would giggle as Bellum nuzzled him, with the Umbreon's whiskers tickling him. Zane chuckled before continuing. "Now that we're out of the colder months, there are lots of farms going up around the world. Our new Xerneas had traveled around the world and made the first few batches of crops grow faster, so no one would starve."
The Marowak began to lightly tickle Ouros, "Even without the first batch, we've had a surplus. Plenty of food to go around for everyone. With the rate that these farmers are going, we could have enough to go around for a good long while."
Bellum gently prods at Zane with licks. Lots of licks.
Maybe a squeeze in a hug and appreciation.
Zane, who was currently watching Ouros waddle about, was a bit surprised when Bellum began to lick them. The Marowak would return Bellum's hug with a gentle nuzzle, and a big smile.
"Hey, hun." They whispered, sinking a bit into Bellum's frame.

Zane smiled, and motioned for Ouros to come closer. "Ouros has been doing great. He's... Actually speaking a few coherent sentences. Isn't that right, Ouros?"
The young Cubone nodded vigorously. "Papa's been busy... With helping to restore... Da town."
"I have. The world is so much greener now, and with Ouros being born lots of folks have been having kids. And the incubators that were brought over are helping those who can't have a kid." Zane smiled even wider. "The population here is booming. We're nearly at 100 Pokemon, compared to the 20 or so that were left."
Bellum gently prods at Zane with licks. Lots of licks.
Maybe a squeeze in a hug and appreciation.

Audie awoke in the late afternoon, his arm feeling sore from the deep scratches he gave himself the night before. "What... Did I...?"
"Morning, sleepyhead." Florence said, handing Audie a coffee, then taking a sip of her own. "You slept like a rock. I had to drag your ass back here after our walk."
"Walk...? I don't remember a walk... And what happened to my arm?" The Espeon weakly held his right arm up.
Florence looked at Audie with some concern. "Do you not remember? I woke up screaming in the early morning, and you and I took a walk on the beach?"
When Audie shook his head, Florence thought for a few moments. "I guess it would make sense you don't remember. You were up for nearly 24 hours..." She was dodging the second question as much as possible. Something that her son took notice of.
"Mom... What happened to my arm?" Audie asked a bit more forcefully, taking a seat next to Florence.
"Right..." She set her cup down on the table. "During the walk last night, you told me about what you had to do... When Abominae took over my body. And..." Florence got a bit choked up. "...And you blamed yourself for my death, and how I've been feeling... And you started digging your claws into your arm. You... Harmed yourself."
"I did what...?" Audie asked looking at his arm. "I didn't... I didn't mean to..."
Florence wrapped Audie in a hug. "I know, sweetie. I know." She whispered, beginning to cry. "Know that the reason why I'm anxious isn't your fault. It's Abominae's. You saved me that day... And even if I wasn't there to say it, I'm eternally grateful."
Audie looked down at his mother. She was acting much differently than she has been in the past. He returned the hug and nodded. "Thanks, Mom. It's... Hard to not constantly blame myself for what happened..."
"You just have to remember that... You can't save every single Pokemon. But the ones you do save make up for the ones you weren't able to." Florence broke off the hug, and looked at Audie. "I know you want to be just like your father, but you also have to find your own way in the world. Don't be a carbon copy... Just be yourself."
"Be myself..." Audie looked down, appearing to be deep in thought.
"It's not something you have to think about for right now. It's just food for thought." Florence smiled and sat back in the couch. "By the way, Kita's down for a nap right now. We were on the beach for most of the day."
The Espeon nodded, and looked at Florence. "Thanks... For taking care of her today. I... Can feel a lot of confidence radiating from you."
Florence chuckled. "It's because you left a bit of an impact on me last night. Even if you don't remember it."

Florence returned with Audie, bandaging his bicep up and laying him in her room. When Florence exited the room, her hands stained with Audie's blood, she turned to Kita standing near the door. She looked in the room and saw her father laying down with a bandage, and blood covering her grandmother's hands.
"Grandma... Is Dad okay?" She asked, a few tears beginning to brim in her eyes.
Florence motioned for Kita to follow her into the kitchen while Florence washed her hands. "Your Dad..." She paused for a moment, trying to think on how to answer her question. "Your Dad is a bit sick."
Kita tilted her head. "Sick? Like a tummy ache? Or a fever?"
"Sort of. He's just had... A lot on his mind. So much so that he accidentally hurt himself." Florence wouldn't dare tell that Audie hurt himself intentionally. She finished washing her hands and she picked Kita up and carried her back to the room. "He's going to be okay. He'll just need a bit of support... From everyone. That means lots of hugs and cuddles with him and your daddy."
Kita remained silent, and vigorously nodded. "Okay!"
"Good." Florence said, smiling back at Kita. "I'll stay here with you for tonight. So then your Dad can get some rest."
"Okay. Good night, Grandma!" Kita ran back to her bed, climbing in and getting under the covers. Florence would do much the same, and fell asleep not too long after.
-
The following morning, Florence took care of Kita while Audie remained asleep. She made breakfast for the pair, and they soon left for the beach once more. Florence was much more active with Kita, helping her build a sand castle with some other kids on the beach. Things were going smoothly, until...
"Hey there. Good to see you back out here again."
Florence turned around to see the same Snorlax from the previous day. "Now that that puss of a son you have is gone, what say me and you go for a good time?"
The kids all paused, staring at the Snorlax then back at Florence. She remained quiet for a moment, and remembered back to her and Audie's conversation from the night before.
"You're so much stronger than me. And I mean that."
Florence turned to the kids. "Why don't you kiddos head over to the water while I talk to this gentleman?"
Kita knew exactly what was about to happen. "Hey guys, let's go. But not too far from Grandma." The Eevee led the kids to the edge of the water, leaving Florence with the Snorlax.
"So... You wanted me so bad... And here I am." Florence walked up to the Snorlax, her hand beginning to trace down his chest.
The Snorlax breathed heavily, a grin beginning to creep onto his face. "What can I say? I'm a 'mon of taste."
"That you are." Florence's hand traced down further, nearing the Snorlax's thigh. "How are you about being... A little rough... During our fun time?"
The Snorlax grinned even wider. "I don't mind at all. I'm a big guy, but I have a lot of stamina."
"Good... I'm glad to hear that." Florence's hand drifted in-between the Snorlax's legs. When she found what it was she was looking for, she squeezed.
For a moment, the Snorlax didn't even respond. But as soon as Florence squeezed, he let out a shrill scream, and he fell to one knee. Most of the people turned to see what was happening, with a lot of the Pokemon recognizing Florence and beginning to cheer for her. The Snorlax looked up. "What... Why are you-" His voice was much higher pitched.
The Umbreon knelt down to be at the Snorlax's level. "Listen. Stop making advances on me, and trying to put your grubby hands on my body. I am already spoken for, if you couldn't tell by my son being out here yesterday. If I see you one more time, I swear to Poké Christ I will castrate you in front of all of these people. Do we understand each other?"
When the Snorlax didn't answer, Florence tugged a little harder. "Do we? Understand? Each other?"
"Yes! Yes!" The Snorlax pleaded. Florence would let go, allowing the gawker to nearly fall over.
"Oh, and one more thing..." Florence started. She would then use two fingers to strike multiple pressure points on the Snorlax's body. He would nearly pass out from the pain, with Florence stopping just before he did. "With what you got? The only thing you'd be showing a good time is your hand."
She then, one last time, hit a pressure point. The Snorlax fell over, unconscious. The surrounding people gave a cheer, and the kids returned to Florence to continue their fun.

Florence and Audie silently walked along the beach, a combination of the moon and the bright silver nebula illuminating the sand. Florence held nervously onto one arm as she walked, and Audie seemed to walk closer to the water, letting the waves crash against his feet. The silence made Florence worry even more, and she finally broke that silence.
"Audie... Are you okay?"
The Espeon slowed down, stopping about 6 or so feet away from his mother with his back turned to her. He then grabbed his own arm, much like what Florence was doing, and turned his head. "Mom, I'm just... I'm so sorry. About everything."
Florence tilted her head. "You mean about the trip so far? You don't have to be sorry about that. It's more the Snorlax's fault for harassing me."
"Not just... That." Audie gripped his bicep, lightly digging his nails into his arm. "Mom... Back when Abominae took over your body... I... I had to take you down. I had to... I killed you..."
Florence remained silent, as she processed what she heard. After a few minutes, she responded, "What... Do you...?"
Audie squatted where he stood, a few tears beginning to drip from his eyes. "Your body was... Taken over by Abominae, and Rondo and I took the liberty in fighting you. I had a hope that I could purify your body, but... I had to watch as your body and Abominae died in front of me."
The Espeon tightened his grip on his bicep, blood beginning to seep from it. "It's just... Even though I know we did the right thing - reviving you was my idea... It just feels like everything is my fault. You're back, but you're feeling miserable. I planned this vacation so you could feel happier... But the moment we got out on the beach you were harassed... I just..." Audie's chest began to tighten as he spoke, and he struggled for a moment to speak. "I just... Want to see you smiling and happy again... That's all I want in life right now... And it feels impossible to reach it..." He said, sounding very strained as he said it.
"Audie..." Florence said, covering her mouth as tears began to fall from her eyes. She noticed Audie's grip on his bicep tighten even more, probably due to the pain in his chest, and blood began to spurt from the deep scratches on his arm. She ran up to the Espeon, and embraced him, letting him fall into her frame as he began to bawl.
"Shh... It's okay..." She whispered, slowly beginning to rock back and forth. Whether she was rocking to calm Audie or herself down she didn't know. "Audie... How... Long have you been holding that in...?"
Audie remained quiet for a moment, the hand holding his arm moving to instead hold his chest. "Since... The day... You were revived... Dad suggested... We not tell you immediately... Because of how fragile... Your mental health was..." His speech sounded wheezy, almost as if he was out of breath.
Florence interlocked her hand with Audie's hand, holding it against his chest. She noticed blood covering the tips of his fingers, and she grimaced. "I... See." She lapsed into some silence before continuing. "I understand how you feel... About wanting to have something you so desperately want. It's so far away, and it feels like no matter your effort you'll never reach it."
She brushed Audie's hair to the side so she could look at him. "But from what I've learned from my therapist... Even the smallest of actions make the biggest of differences. This trip is one of them. Being here with family... It's the calmest I've been in a long time. Yeah, that dude from before was a bummer, but the trip has been 90% positive."
Audie looked up. The pain in his chest was slowly subsiding. "Has it been, though? It doesn't feel like it."
"It has. Anytime I get to spend with you and Kita is always a positive. Even if some of it was spent in the quiet room upstairs, it was made better because I wasn't alone with my thoughts." Florence wiped her eyes. "And I... I appreciate the kind gesture, you bringing me to the beach for a vacation together."
Audie would lightly squeeze Florence's hand. "I just wanted to see you happy again. To make good memories that could overshadow the bad ones. I miss the old you... A lot. I just... Hope that this can be enough to make a difference."
Florence nodded. "It will be. I promise." She once again lapsed into silence, this time leaning down and kissing Audie on the forehead. "You're a lot stronger than you realize, being able to carry that weight on your mind."
Audie shook his head. "No... If anything, it's you who's stronger. Your life has been so... Painful. Anyone else would have given up already." Audie smiled. "You're so much stronger than me. And I mean that. I love you, Mom."
Florence would be taken aback by the comment, and she smiled and nuzzled the top of her son's head. "I love you too, Adiemus." She whispered. When she broke the hug, she saw Audie was asleep.
"Audie... You've given me a lot of confidence, with this walk... So thank you. Sleep well, kiddo." She then slung Audie across her shoulders, and carried him back to the house.

I see nothing in your eyes/And the more I see, the less I like/Is it over yet?/In my head/I know nothing of your kind/And I won't reveal your evil mind/Is it over yet?/I can't win
So, sacrifice yourself/And let me have what's left/I know that I can find/The fire in your eyes/I'm going all the way/Get away, please
You take the breath right out of me/You left a hole where my heart should be/You got to fight just to make it through/'Cause I will be the death of you

Audie rushed back to the house, bringing Florence up to the quiet room and wrapping her wrist in a bandage. Once her wrist was bandaged, Audie knelt down. "You okay, mom?"
"I'm... No, not really." Florence looked down. "That guy..."
"Yeah, I know... I-I should have intervened sooner." Audie then also looked down. "I'm sorry..."
Florence shook her head. "It's fine. I know that you didn't want to cause a scene in front of Kita." She laid down onto the couch. "I'm just going to relax up here. I'll be fine if you and Kita want to head back out to the beach."
Audie's ears drooped, and he nodded. "Okay. Just... Give me a call if you need anything." He would give his mom a hug, then exited the room and went back down stairs. He wore a worried expression as he entered the room, something that Kita had noticed.
"Dad... Is Grandma okay?"
Audie looked down at Kita, and once again forced a smile. "Yeah, she's going to be okay. She just needs to rest for a bit. If you want, you and I can head back out to the beach. What do you say?"
Kita nodded vigorously, and the two exited the house, and wouldn't return until just before sundown.

Audie and Kita spent a quiet evening together. Florence had slept through the entire day, even through dinner. It worried Audie, and after he put Kita to bed for the night he went up stairs and sat outside the room where Florence was. He never moved, and never once fell asleep. His fur and hair became more rough and messy as he sat, due to his fur and hair drying out. He sat for hours and hours, only jumping to alert at the sound of Florence screaming at around 3AM.
"Mom!" Audie burst into the room, locking eyes with Florence's. "Are you okay?"
The Umbreon breathed heavily. "Yeah, just... I forgot where I was..." She looked at Audie's disheveled form. "Are you okay?"
Audie looked down at himself. "I... I sat outside the door to wait for you to wake up, to make sure you're alright. I, um... Was thinking about going on a walk."
Florence tilted her head. "Do you mind if I join you?"
"Yeah, you can come with. I... Need the company."
