Joseph had invited Audie to come with him to a hot spring, a natural one where they could simply relax together, father and son.
Joseph smiled as he looked at his boy, his waist under the water and the cold evening being warded away by the warmth.
"A good hot tub never ceases to end the day on a relaxing note." Offered Joseph.
Audie had joined with his father, his bare chest just barely exposed above the water and his head resting on the rocks behind him. The Espeon sighed contently, and nodded slowly. "Agreed." He said softly.
After a few moments of silence, Audie continued. "Thanks for bringing me out here, Dad. I've had a lot on my mind recently, with... Mom and everything. And being here with you helps ease my mind from those things."

As a caution, this chapter has themes of anxiety, depression, and self harm. If you do not vibe with those, skip the chapter. Otherwise, click/tap (gonna call it clap) the read more!
Florence and Audie silently walked along the beach, a combination of the moon and the bright silver nebula illuminating the sand. Florence held nervously onto one arm as she walked, and Audie seemed to walk closer to the water, letting the waves crash against his feet. The silence made Florence worry even more, and she finally broke that silence.
"Audie... Are you okay?"
The Espeon slowed down, stopping about 6 or so feet away from his mother with his back turned to her. He then grabbed his own arm, much like what Florence was doing, and turned his head. "Mom, I'm just... I'm so sorry. About everything."
Florence tilted her head. "You mean about the trip so far? You don't have to be sorry about that. It's more the Snorlax's fault for harassing me."
"Not just... That." Audie gripped his bicep, lightly digging his nails into his arm. "Mom... Back when Abominae took over your body... I... I had to take you down. I had to... I killed you..."
Florence remained silent, as she processed what she heard. After a few minutes, she responded, "What... Do you...?"
Audie squatted where he stood, a few tears beginning to drip from his eyes. "Your body was... Taken over by Abominae, and Rondo and I took the liberty in fighting you. I had a hope that I could purify your body, but... I had to watch as your body and Abominae died in front of me."
The Espeon tightened his grip on his bicep, blood beginning to seep from it. "It's just... Even though I know we did the right thing - reviving you was my idea... It just feels like everything is my fault. You're back, but you're feeling miserable. I planned this vacation so you could feel happier... But the moment we got out on the beach you were harassed... I just..." Audie's chest began to tighten as he spoke, and he struggled for a moment to speak. "I just... Want to see you smiling and happy again... That's all I want in life right now... And it feels impossible to reach it..." He said, sounding very strained as he said it.
"Audie..." Florence said, covering her mouth as tears began to fall from her eyes. She noticed Audie's grip on his bicep tighten even more, probably due to the pain in his chest, and blood began to spurt from the deep scratches on his arm. She ran up to the Espeon, and embraced him, letting him fall into her frame as he began to bawl.
"Shh... It's okay..." She whispered, slowly beginning to rock back and forth. Whether she was rocking to calm Audie or herself down she didn't know. "Audie... How... Long have you been holding that in...?"
Audie remained quiet for a moment, the hand holding his arm moving to instead hold his chest. "Since... The day... You were revived... Dad suggested... We not tell you immediately... Because of how fragile... Your mental health was..." His speech sounded wheezy, almost as if he was out of breath.
Florence interlocked her hand with Audie's hand, holding it against his chest. She noticed blood covering the tips of his fingers, and she grimaced. "I... See." She lapsed into some silence before continuing. "I understand how you feel... About wanting to have something you so desperately want. It's so far away, and it feels like no matter your effort you'll never reach it."
She brushed Audie's hair to the side so she could look at him. "But from what I've learned from my therapist... Even the smallest of actions make the biggest of differences. This trip is one of them. Being here with family... It's the calmest I've been in a long time. Yeah, that dude from before was a bummer, but the trip has been 90% positive."
Audie looked up. The pain in his chest was slowly subsiding. "Has it been, though? It doesn't feel like it."
"It has. Anytime I get to spend with you and Kita is always a positive. Even if some of it was spent in the quiet room upstairs, it was made better because I wasn't alone with my thoughts." Florence wiped her eyes. "And I... I appreciate the kind gesture, you bringing me to the beach for a vacation together."
Audie would lightly squeeze Florence's hand. "I just wanted to see you happy again. To make good memories that could overshadow the bad ones. I miss the old you... A lot. I just... Hope that this can be enough to make a difference."
Florence nodded. "It will be. I promise." She once again lapsed into silence, this time leaning down and kissing Audie on the forehead. "You're a lot stronger than you realize, being able to carry that weight on your mind."
Audie shook his head. "No... If anything, it's you who's stronger. Your life has been so... Painful. Anyone else would have given up already." Audie smiled. "You're so much stronger than me. And I mean that. I love you, Mom."
Florence would be taken aback by the comment, and she smiled and nuzzled the top of her son's head. "I love you too, Adiemus." She whispered. When she broke the hug, she saw Audie was asleep.
"Audie... You've given me a lot of confidence, with this walk... So thank you. Sleep well, kiddo." She then slung Audie across her shoulders, and carried him back to the house.

Audie rushed back to the house, bringing Florence up to the quiet room and wrapping her wrist in a bandage. Once her wrist was bandaged, Audie knelt down. "You okay, mom?"
"I'm... No, not really." Florence looked down. "That guy..."
"Yeah, I know... I-I should have intervened sooner." Audie then also looked down. "I'm sorry..."
Florence shook her head. "It's fine. I know that you didn't want to cause a scene in front of Kita." She laid down onto the couch. "I'm just going to relax up here. I'll be fine if you and Kita want to head back out to the beach."
Audie's ears drooped, and he nodded. "Okay. Just... Give me a call if you need anything." He would give his mom a hug, then exited the room and went back down stairs. He wore a worried expression as he entered the room, something that Kita had noticed.
"Dad... Is Grandma okay?"
Audie looked down at Kita, and once again forced a smile. "Yeah, she's going to be okay. She just needs to rest for a bit. If you want, you and I can head back out to the beach. What do you say?"
Kita nodded vigorously, and the two exited the house, and wouldn't return until just before sundown.
-
Audie and Kita spent a quiet evening together. Florence had slept through the entire day, even through dinner. It worried Audie, and after he put Kita to bed for the night he went up stairs and sat outside the room where Florence was. He never moved, and never once fell asleep. His fur and hair became more rough and messy as he sat, due to his fur and hair drying out. He sat for hours and hours, only jumping to alert at the sound of Florence screaming at around 3AM.
"Mom!" Audie burst into the room, locking eyes with Florence's. "Are you okay?"
The Umbreon breathed heavily. "Yeah, just... I forgot where I was..." She looked at Audie's disheveled form. "Are you okay?"
Audie looked down at himself. "I... I sat outside the door to wait for you to wake up, to make sure you're alright. I, um... Was thinking about going on a walk."
Florence tilted her head. "Do you mind if I join you?"
"Yeah, you can come with. I... Need the company."

Florence, Audie, and Kita settled on a spot on the beach, with Florence laying on a towel on land, while Audie played with Kita in the water as the two watched surfers ride waves. The Umbreon watched over her son, the faintest hint of a smile on her face as she watched them.
Florence not only enjoyed watching Audie and Kita play together, but enjoyed the atmosphere. She usually always felt a little cold, even on the warmest of days, but being surrounded by family made her feel more at ease. Made her feel like she wasn't always on edge. She would lean back and close her eyes, and let the shining sun warm her body.
Though it wouldn't take long for a gawker, a smaller Snorlax, to stare at Florence's body. This Pokemon stood over Florence, breathing heavily as he stared. She would open an eye, and stared them down. She kept a calm face, but she was becoming a bit uncomfortable. "Can I help you?"
Audie stopped briefly, and saw the situation unfolding. He kept his distance, both to not cause a scene and to not frighten Kita. The Snorlax continued to breathe heavily. "Hey. What say me and you go back to my place, and I'll show you a good time?"
Florence scoffed at the other Pokemon. "Sorry, I'm already spoken for. And even if I wasn't, I'd never go anywhere with you. You're being a bit sleazy and creepy."
The Snorlax snorted, and forcefully grabbed onto Florence's hand and pulled her up. "You misunderstand. I wasn't asking."
Florence then raked her claws across the Snorlax's cheek. But it didn't at all deter him, and he tightened his grip. His claws began to dig into her wrist. The Umbreon let out a frightened gasp. "Get away from me!" She cried, beginning to panic.
"Kita... Run back to the house for me, okay?" Audie said, motioning for her to run back. She nodded and scurried back to the house. When she was out of sight, he approached Florence and the Snorlax. "Hey!"
The Snorlax looked over at Audie, and chuckled. "Who are you supposed to be, ya twig?"
The Espeon's rings began to glow, and he cracked his neck. A small group of Pokemon began to gather around the three, and Florence started getting more uncomfortable. Audie noticed her demeanor and shot icy daggers at the Snorlax. "That doesn't matter. What does matter is that if you don't let my mom go in ten seconds, I'm going to break you."
"Oh, really? What're you going to do to me, momma's boy?" The Snorlax scoffed
Audie's eye slightly twitched, and his wings spread open, which earned some gasps from some of the onlookers. "I don't think you want me to answer that." Audie growled.
The Snorlax finally let go of Florence, and he turned to face Audie. "Yeah... I do."
Audie began to breathe heavier. He looked down to see his mom's wrist bruised and bleeding. He looked back up at the Snorlax. "Okay."
Audie sped directly at the Snorlax, grabbing their wrist and breaking it. He then picked the Snorlax up in both hands, holding him over his head like he was carrying a box. Audie, still carrying the Snorlax, walked towards the water, stopping right where the waves were crashing. The Snorlax flailed in Audie's hands. "Let me go!"
Audie looked up. "Your words, not mine." He moved back, and threw the Snorlax down feet first. He was thrown with such force that his body was buried, with only his head sticking out of the sand facing right where the water crashed. Audie knelt down and lightly patted the Snorlax's head. "Have fun." The Espeon began walking away, but quickly turned around. "Oh, and if you mess with my mom, or Arceus forbid my daughter, I'll make sure to show you how far I can throw."
The Pokemon that gathered around began to clap as Audie walked back to Florence. "Let's get you inside." He said as he picked up Florence and walked back to the house.

The bright light that engulfed the trio lasted for only a few seconds, but when it finally died down they arrived at the front of the beach home they rented: a semi-large, two story home. Kita appeared to be a bit queasy, and slipped out of Audie's grip and ran away. Florence looked at the house, and her jaw dropped.
"Th-This is where we're staying?" She looked over at Audie, her mouth still agape. She had no idea this was the spot that Audie chose for them to stay.
"It is. A home that overlooks, and has direct access to Rockaway Beach. I know it's a bit big, but let me show you why I picked it." Audie began walking up to the door, before he stopped and looked around. "Wait... Where's Kita?"
Audie wouldn't have to look far, as the young Eevee was hunched over in a bush... And emptying the contents of her stomach into it. She returned a few moments later, looking a bit ashamed. "I... Threw up..."
"Aw... That's okay. Let's get you inside and I'll find you something to help you out." Audie picked Kita up, and led Florence inside. The home's first floor had a central living area - a living room connected to a kitchen - and doors led into separate bedrooms, and a staircase that led up to the second floor.
Audie and Kita took one room, while the other went to Florence. The Umbreon set her stuff down and looked back at Audie once he came out. "What's... So special about the house?"
"It's upstairs," Audie replied, taking his mother's hand and guiding her up the stairs. A hallway led to other bedrooms, with a door at the end of the hallway leading to a larger space. "It's this room."
Audie opened the door to a large bonus room, with a couch and an overhead fan that was on. Behind the couch was a screen window with a direct view of the ocean, and the sound of crashing waves being heard. Audie led Florence in to let her listen to the waves. "This room, I figured, could be a quiet spot for you, in case you need it during the trip. The waves provide some white noise for you, and it's the furthest away from everything."
Florence looked the room over, and she smiled and gave her son a hug. "Thanks, Audie. I... Hope I don't need to use the room, but I appreciate you looking after me in case I do."
"You're welcome, Mom. It's the least I can do. I care about your well-being." Audie stopped for a moment, his ear twitching as he could hear Kita begin throwing up once again. He broke the hug off. "Uh... S-Sorry about the quick exit. I gotta make sure that Kita isn't vomiting in the bedroom."
Florence chuckled. "It's fine, kiddo. Go take care of her. Once you're done... Come back up here. I'm... Feeling pretty relaxed in this room, and I want to spend some time with my son and granddaughter."
Audie smiled and nodded, and quickly ran down stairs, while Florence sat down on the couch, and stared out the window while letting the smell of the beach and the sound of the crashing waves overtake her mind.

"So, is everything in order for you three?"
Kiske stood at the door, holding it open while Audie, Florence, and Kita stepped out, each with a bathing suit on and holding some bags. Audie himself had a prosthetic left wing, one made of carbon fiber that matched in size to his other wing. "Yep. We'll be away for a few days. I'll... I'll miss you while I'm away." Audie said, as he leaned in and gave a kiss to Kiske's cheek.
"Ah, don't be silly," replied Kiske, as they too gave Audie a kiss on the cheek. "I won't be going anywhere. I've got babysitting duty for Solaris, so it won't be too quiet around here. You three have fun together, yeah?"
"Yeah!" Kita threw her arms up in excitement, nearly falling over in the process. Audie would catch her before she fell, and she excitedly looked back. "Bye, daddy!"
"Bye, Kita... And bye to you two as well. Enjoy this time together!" Kiske waved at the group, and they eventually shut the door.
Audie held onto Florence's hand. "You excited, Mom?"
Florence nodded. "I am, but... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous too."
"That's understandable. It's the first time you've been out of the house for a long period of time. But... I think it'd be good. Plus, it's... Been a while since the last time we really hung out together. Not as teammates on a rescue team... But as a family."
"You're right, it's just... It's been hard. These thoughts keep bubbling up, and I just get scared..." The Umbreon squeezed Audie's hand as she talked, with Audie returning the squeeze.
"Well, I'm hoping that this little beach trip will help to get your mind off of things. And, well... I know Kita can be a lot, since she's so young, but I figured you and her could also get some time together, since you love kids a lot." Audie gave Florence a gentle smile.
She would chuckle. "Trust me, kiddo. I can handle an excited 4 year old. I handled you pretty well, I like to think."
"Yeah, I like to think so too. Hold on, I'll teleport us out to the beach. Kita, come hold onto me." The young Eevee would sprint her way over to Audie's side, hugging onto his leg. "Kita, this teleporting thing may feel a bit odd, so hold on tight."
She nodded, and Audie would click for the Grass Continent, and the three teleported away.

Angel sneaks in and gives a Audie a kiss on the cheek!
Audie, currently holding his daughter Kita in his arms, was caught off guard by the kiss. Considering he was now missing a wing, the gesture made Audie smile. He would return the kiss with one to Angel's cheek.
"Eeeeewwww!" Kita shouted.
The Espeon chuckled. "How have you been, Angel? It's been a while since I saw you last."

Noel had gotten a chance to get some air after being cooped up in Avett's hospital. A large scar ran across her eyes, scarring them shut. She was getting re-acclimated to using her aura sight as her vision again, and she barely noticed three figures approaching her.
"Oh hey Audie... Kiske... And..." Her voice trailed off as she looked down. A bipedal Eevee stood between the two. She couldn't see it, but this Eevee's fur was white and red, and the tip of this Eevee's tail resembled a flame. "Wait... Is this..."
Audie smiled. "Noel... This is Kitajoh... Our daughter. She prefers Kita. Say hi to your aunt, Kita."
Noel knelt down, and offered a paw to the Eevee. "Hi hiii!" Kita said energetically. Though her head would tilt. "What happened to your eyes, auntie? Are you okay?"
Noel nodded. "Don't you worry your little head off. I'm fine." She stood back up, resting a paw on her katana. The look on her face spoke a different story to Kiske.
"Audie... Catch up with Noel. I'll take Kita home so you two can talk." Kiske gave a small kiss to Audie's cheek before they picked Kita up and continued home.
Audie looked at Noel's scar. "What happened? Did this happen during a mission?"
The Lucario sighed. "Yeah. There's some kind of virus affecting our Gods. Me, Remi, Uncle Morello and Nobuo went to fight Deoxys - it was in a rage. During that fight Deoxys whipped me across the face. Avett says it's too dangerous to try to open my eyes through surgery, so I'm blind once again."
Audie leaned forward, embracing Noel. "I'm sorry, big sis." The Espeon lightly rubbed her back. "How are you holding up? And how are the others?"
Noel returned the hug. She was taken back by Audie referring to her as big sis. "I'm doing fine. Rem is still in the hospital. She almost bled out during the fight. Morello and Nobuo are fine, and Avett is working on a vaccine."
Audie broke off the hug, and motioned for Noel to follow him home. "Fill me in."
Noel would turn and begin following Audie, before...
"Noel..."
She turned around, looking all around her. "Dad? Where are you?"
"The sword..." Noel looked down to see the handle of her blade glowing. "Allow me to help guide you..."
"Noel? You alright?"
The Lucario snapped back to reality. "Uh... Yeah, coming!" She ran up to Audie and began explaining the situation. All the while, Noel could see clearer with her aura sight than she ever could before. She didn't know what was going on, but she kept it to herself for the time being.

Joseph heard Audie and Rondo return. He dashed to where the main door was, and he stopped in seeing them come in. "Is.. Is she?" He asked, slowly coming to them, his arms raised to try and take Florence into his own arms. Like hell he was going to let her stand on her own if he could help it.
Audie nodded at his father. "She's back. She's still unconscious, but she'll come to soon." The Espeon held Florence out, allowing Joseph to take her.
Rondo walked in behind Audie, smiling as she saw Joseph and Florence reunited once again. "Isaak has also let us know that they've removed Abominae from Mom, so it won't be coming back and cause a repeat of this... Disaster."

Audie awoke in the late afternoon, his arm feeling sore from the deep scratches he gave himself the night before. "What... Did I...?"
"Morning, sleepyhead." Florence said, handing Audie a coffee, then taking a sip of her own. "You slept like a rock. I had to drag your ass back here after our walk."
"Walk...? I don't remember a walk... And what happened to my arm?" The Espeon weakly held his right arm up.
Florence looked at Audie with some concern. "Do you not remember? I woke up screaming in the early morning, and you and I took a walk on the beach?"
When Audie shook his head, Florence thought for a few moments. "I guess it would make sense you don't remember. You were up for nearly 24 hours..." She was dodging the second question as much as possible. Something that her son took notice of.
"Mom... What happened to my arm?" Audie asked a bit more forcefully, taking a seat next to Florence.
"Right..." She set her cup down on the table. "During the walk last night, you told me about what you had to do... When Abominae took over my body. And..." Florence got a bit choked up. "...And you blamed yourself for my death, and how I've been feeling... And you started digging your claws into your arm. You... Harmed yourself."
"I did what...?" Audie asked looking at his arm. "I didn't... I didn't mean to..."
Florence wrapped Audie in a hug. "I know, sweetie. I know." She whispered, beginning to cry. "Know that the reason why I'm anxious isn't your fault. It's Abominae's. You saved me that day... And even if I wasn't there to say it, I'm eternally grateful."
Audie looked down at his mother. She was acting much differently than she has been in the past. He returned the hug and nodded. "Thanks, Mom. It's... Hard to not constantly blame myself for what happened..."
"You just have to remember that... You can't save every single Pokemon. But the ones you do save make up for the ones you weren't able to." Florence broke off the hug, and looked at Audie. "I know you want to be just like your father, but you also have to find your own way in the world. Don't be a carbon copy... Just be yourself."
"Be myself..." Audie looked down, appearing to be deep in thought.
"It's not something you have to think about for right now. It's just food for thought." Florence smiled and sat back in the couch. "By the way, Kita's down for a nap right now. We were on the beach for most of the day."
The Espeon nodded, and looked at Florence. "Thanks... For taking care of her today. I... Can feel a lot of confidence radiating from you."
Florence chuckled. "It's because you left a bit of an impact on me last night. Even if you don't remember it."

Audie and Kita spent the evening with Florence, with all three of them passing out in the bonus room. Audie would be the first one to wake up the following morning, and he snuck out of the house and to a store to get some groceries. He returned quickly with necessities, but more importantly pancake mix.
Audie began making pancakes for the three of them, with the sun beginning to shine through a nearby window. As he cooked, one thought continued to stick in the back of his mind.
While he and his mother did desperately need some family time away from everything, part of the reason Audie suggested the trip was to finally tell Florence about what happened. She still didn't know that Audie was the one that killed her and Abominae. But he didn't know how to bring the subject up to Florence. Audie closed his eyes, beginning to make faces as he was thinking.
"Audie... You doing okay?"
The Espeon let out an audible "huh?" before turning to see Florence and Kita standing at the end of the steps. Audie shook his head, and forced a smile. "I'm fine, don't worry. Breakfast is almost ready if you want to go ahead and sit down."
Florence looked skeptically at Audie, but eventually she sat down at the table. Audie then brought over a large stack of pancakes, along with some syrup and butter. He poured some orange juice for Kita, and poured cold brew for both him and Florence.
Audie sat down next to Kita, passing plates to everyone as they all began digging into their pancakes, with Audie cutting Kita's pancakes for her. As Florence began eating, she looked over at Audie, and lightly placed a hand on top of his. "Audie... If something is bothering you, you know you can tell me, right?"
The Espeon shook his head, passing Kita's plate back to her. "Like I said, don't worry. I was only thinking about a plan for the day." Audie was lying through his teeth, but he was able to keep a straight poker face as he said it. "Honest."
Florence leaned back in her chair. "Okay, just... Wanted to make sure." She said, taking a sip of her coffee. She looked over at Kita and saw she was already finished, while Florence and Audie had barely gotten into their own. "Dang, girl. Did you taste those pancakes at all!?"
"Mm-hmm!" Kita replied. "It was yummy, too! Dad makes the best pancakes!"
Audie was a bit red in the face. "Well, you can thank Grandma and Grandpa for that. They taught me how to cook well."
"Whoa, really!?" Kita started, her attention soon turning to the window. She stood up from her seat and ran to the window, pressing her snout against it. "Dad, Dad! Look at that!" Kita then pointed out the window.
Audie looked out the window after taking his last bite, and saw Pokemon gathering on the beach. Kita was pointing at a group who were surfing, catching the attention of the beachgoers. "Looks like some Pokemon are having an impromptu surfing competition."
Kita excited jumped up and down. "Can we go out onto the beach? Can we!?"
Florence chuckled, having just finished her own plate. "In a second, dear. We still have to clean up from breakfast. Why don't you go and put your swimsuit on?"
Kita didn't need to be told twice, as she darted for her and Audie's room. Audie then turned to Florence. "Go on and get ready as well. I'll take care of the dishes."
The Umbreon nodded, and walked into her room and started getting changed. Audie was left in the quiet for a few moments, until Kita returned from the bedroom, with her swimsuit on the incorrect way. She excitedly jumped up and down. "Come on, Dad! Come onnnnn!"
Audie looked over at Kita, and smiled. "Well, you can't go swimming if your suit's on backwards, silly. Let's go fix it, then we can go." He wiped his hands clean, then escorted Kita back to the bedroom.
Florence exited her room, followed by Audie and Kita, then the three traveled out to the beach together.

Xan and Urie teleported into Avett's clinic, with the former being taken in immediately to check on his knee. Audie and Beck then entered the clinic, the former giving a weak wave to the Mawile. Urie winced and waved back, attempting to wipe some of the blood off of his head to little avail.
"Hey... How did things with you and Misha go?" Urie asked.
"Too close for comfort. He had to distract a huge bug for nearly 30 minutes so I could put a fire out. He's at home resting. How about you and Xan?"
Urie wiggled his paw from side to side. "About the same. One Gengar shape shifted, which I fought. And the other was... It was the Gengar from the past. The one that sparked the Rayquaza crisis. Xan was... Upset, because that Gengar, whom he considered a friend, killed the shop owners of Pokemon Square."
Audie winced. "I see..." He clenched his hands a few times, lowering his head on thought.. He was frustrated that so many lives were lost during this crisis. His thinking was broken by Avett exiting the back area.
Urie ran up to Avett, "Is Xan okay?" He asked, doubling over in pain.
"Easy, kiddo. His knee is sprained pretty bad, but he'll be okay. His room is down the hall, second door on the right. Go and sit with him, and I'll be back there to check you over in a bit." Avett lightly pushed Urie along, and turned back to face Audie and Beck. "You guys did great. Acted quickly, and prevented more deaths than was necessary."
Audie looked down, still in thought. Avett could see the Espeon was struggling. "Beck... Head back to Misha. Give him some of this. It'll relax his muscles." He handed Beck a small bottle with some red liquid in it, and sent him out of the clinic. "Audie... What's wrong?"
"I just felt... Kind of useless. Had I not gotten hurt so bad... Maybe those folks in Pokemon Square would still be alive if we could have just... Gone there instead of needing to stop here..." Audie lightly punched the wall in frustration.
"And you would have gone in unprepared and probably gotten yourselves hurt even worse than you did." Avett placed a hand onto Audie's shoulder. "I know you want to save everyone - you could thank your mom and dad's genes for that - but know that adventuring can take planning. If you had gone in just after your fight with Jirachi, it would have ended much worse."
Audie wiped his eyes, and nodded. "You're right, I'm just... Not used to being on the sidelines. And it just sucks knowing I couldn't have done more."
"I know, but-" Avett started, before the front door was busted down by Noel and Jirachi. They were holding onto Isaak, who was unconscious, bloodied, and covered in black splotches. "Arceus! Let me get them in the back, come on Noel!"
Jirachi let go of Isaak, watching as Avett and Noel dragged Isaak to the back. They then turned to look at Audie, noticing his injuries and appearing guilty. "Y-You must be Audie... Isaak explained what I did... I-I'm-"
Audie held a hand up. "Val... It's okay. You weren't yourself. I knew the risk in fighting you. You have no reason to apologize. Thanks for bringing Isaak back."
Jirachi bowed. "You're welcome, but... They're in grave danger. The infection was passed from me to them. I was told that Avett could help them, and was working on a vaccine."
"He is. I don't know how close he is to finding it, but the only thing we can do right now is wait. And be prepared for the moment Isaak goes berserk." Audie motioned for Jirachi to follow. "Let's head back to the house. You might be here for a while."
Jirachi looked back towards the door that Isaak went through, their shoulders eventually slumping and beginning to follow Audie.

Experience these things/My chest digs further in and it gets hard to breathe/Don’t fight it/Make this easy/Sometimes I wish I had wings/Fly far away from this life/It’s a long road, it's a long road
Such curiosity/These thoughts go on all day/And it takes hold of me/But fighting isn't easy
As the water beads upon the window/Turn the sad song up on the radio/Will the voices haunt when the flesh moves on/And the clouds block out the rays/When the feeling hangs upon a halo/I can only try my best just to let it go/What's left with me is a memory/And the things I have to say
Resting now, their bodies hit the ground/Nightmares creep over me I hear the sounds/(Yes they all hit the ground)/Children scream, their mothers bleed hung upside down/Scarlet ropes and sadistic minds surround me/I spent all of my life confined in secrecy/What you see is but shell of what I am on the inside/Clouds of blackness strike lightning/There’s nothing above/I’m falling, falling, I’m falling below/(There’s nothing above)/I’m falling, falling, I’m falling below, below

Oi! Who has been hogging the computer with 6 TB of porn!?
"There's how much on there??" Florence asked. "How much does one need to look at in order to get off??"
Cue an embarrassed Audie and Kiske, who both slink away to their room.

Team Destiny. Have any of you ever caught Joseph in a... PTSD episode?
"Not any that I've seen... He's been pretty neutral since we first met him." Remi would place a paw on her chin.
Meanwhile, both Florence and Audie would look blankly into the room, both with the same thing on their minds.
"Dad..." Audie thought.
"Jo..." Florence thought.

We join Audie and Kiske, who are out camping in the Air Continent, in the morning. The two had gotten intimate the night before, and were sleeping soundly in each other's arms. Though, when Audie woke up, he felt a noticeable bulge between them. The Espeon looked down, and noticed a brown and red striped egg.
"W-What the-?" Audie lightly shook his mate. "Kiske... Kiske, hun, wake up!"
"Mph?" Kiske stirred, and looked at Audie. "What's up? Why are you looking..." The Cinderace looked down, and saw the egg. "Wait... Did we... Did we make that?"
"I don't know... I didn't think it was possible for us to. We both have male parts..." Audie would put some shorts on, and pull his badge out. He clicked the middle insignia. "Isaak... Isaak, are you there?"
After a brief moment of silence, Isaak answered. "I am here... Are you not in Flora? It's the middle of the night here."
"No. Me and Kiske are on a little vacation together. Listen, we have... Maybe a problem?" Audie would look back. He was excited to be having a kid, there was no question, it was just unexpected. "So... Kiske and I both are male... Yet an egg laid between us when we woke up. It's brown and red... Did we... Have an egg? I didn't think it was possible..."
Isaak, though unseen, smiled. "Indeed you did. It seems my changes have worked."
Kiske would speak up, looking confused at Audie, who was just as confused. "Changes? I'm not sure we follow..."
"I wanted anyone, regardless of their gender, to have the ability to have kids. So more energy was channeled into the Tree of Souls. Through an exchanging of energies between two Pokemon, kind of like using a move, two Pokemon of differing or similar genders can have an egg. This can happen intentionally or, in the case that the two Pokemon become caught up in the moment, unintentionally. The fluttering leaves from the Tree help to charge that energy." Isaak paused for a moment. "This energy can be felt anywhere in the world, as all parts of the world lead back to our tree."
Audie would take a deep breath, himself and Kiske beginning to smile. "I see. This... This makes us happy. Thank you for the info, Isaak."
"You are welcome, Audie. And congratulations, you two. Should I inform Florence?"
Audie thought for a moment, and nodded. "Go ahead. Let her know we'll be home soon."
Audie put his badge away, and laid back down with Kiske. "We're going to be parents... I know Dad will be happy to have a grandkid..."
Kiske nodded, and drifted back to sleep with Audie in their arms, and the egg resting between the two.
