Walking inside his home, Karin was amazed that the blonde kunoichi wasn't rushing to see who was visiting, though it was better that it was just between herself and Itachi, maybe the Uzumaki kunoichi would bring it up when they were alone. There was no doubt that Ino would confront her for visiting Itachi, she was that type of girl.

Taking a seat in the nearest couch, she nodded, "Yes, please. I suppose green tea wouldn't hurt, I think it'll calm my nerves before I start telling you." Karin was content with her friend's politeness, though she was wondering how he would take this information that she was about to deliver to him. Would he be pleased to hear that someone had developed such deep feelings for his younger brother? What kind of advice would he give to her so she can proceed on telling Sasuke next. A few minutes passed, and Itachi had come out with tea for both of them, it was now or never. 

"....So."

"--What would you say if I knew someone that had feelings for Sasuke? Y'know, romantic feelings for him?" 

[knocks on his door]

A brief pause, before he rose to answer the door.

When he did, he was greeted by the sight of Uzumaki Karin. It must have been a few weeks since he last saw her.

"Karin? Is there something I can do for you?"

The Uzumaki kunoichi did tell Itachi that she needed to speak something important with him a few weeks ago, now that Sasuke's birthday had passed, that time had already came so quickly. Greeted by Itachi, she slightly nodded.

"It's more or less, it kind of has a lot to do with Sasuke."

"--Since I consider you as my best friend here, I came to tell you first. And it doesn't hurt that you're Sasuke's older brother too! Would it be alright if I came inside?" 

[knocks on his door]

A brief pause, before he rose to answer the door.

When he did, he was greeted by the sight of Uzumaki Karin. It must have been a few weeks since he last saw her.

"Karin? Is there something I can do for you?"

"I'm nowhere close to being picky, Madara-sama. I prefer not to get close to people because it's what I'm used too being with Orochimaru after all this time. I suppose you can say some of useful intelligence was passed down to me." She internally shuddered, Karin hated the idea of comparing herself to Orochimaru, though she really had to be careful with her words around this man, he wasn't someone to be hassled with. "My small village was taken from me, and everyone in it expected for me had died, so you could say since the beginning I had nothing. That's how I want it until my life ends." Another lie, though it was for the best.

Her brows furrowed when he mentioned that the Uchiha clan valued love more than anything else, what did the Uchiha mean by that? Karin wasn't informed with so much details about their clan, only a few things like taking out another's eyes so they could gain more power. She would have to ask Itachi about that, there was so much more that she didn't know about her clan either. 

"Uzumaki Naruto doesn't concern me at all, I've only met him once and he doesn't catch my attention at all." The kunoichi replied harshly, though her heart ached as she uttered those words, she did care, and a lot of the blonde shinobi. He was the only family she knew of, and protecting him from Madara was one thing she needed to do. 

"You know what you want. That is good, but we can’t always be picky. Strength comes in numbers." So does weakness. Ten men might overpower one, but the weakest would slow the strongest. Dead weight and more mouths to feed. It was a smart Shinobi who limited their allies to the established four-man cells, and a cautious one who lied about it. Which was Karin, he wondered.

The names she offered belonged to those he had already set his sights on, and could fall under no further scrutiny. Clever of her. “The Uchiha value love above all else. You’ll find steadfast allies among our clan. The same can be said of the Uzumaki, as you might already know. Naruto is no exception.” Powerful life forces from those ones. Akin to cockroaches in that regard.

"I didn’t think Naruto’s influence had spread so quickly, however. How close are the two of you?" Those who had allied themselves with Jinchuuriki would not soon betray him. Apparently he shared that trait with Hashirama. Madara had devised a plan for that.

A nauseous feeling immediately appeared as Ino hoped that her annoying team mate was annoying, just like his awful chakra, his face, and pretty much everything was the opposite of good-looking. "Yeah, Well that asshole isn't no where close to be good-looking, he's the most ugliest guy that I ever saw. And a big road block to me being with Sasuke. Just because of that damn Suigetsu, I wasn't able to get enough alone time with Sasuke, he'll definitely pay for every wrong he has done to me!"  If she had to choose between Jugo and Suigetsu, her first pick would be Jugo, he was a gentle person most of the time, just the only thing that would worry her was his bloodthirsty side when angered.

"Just hope whenever he shows up, you don't get near him. He does some good points though, he was willing to risk his life for us. Though don't him I ever said that!" 

"Though yes, Itachi and Sasuke are both important to me. I'm sure that you're aware that I saved Itachi when both of us ended up in Las Vegas, and I've saved Sasuke a couple of times when he was in battle. I'm not afraid to use my technique more than once a to save them both from death. I know that you're a kunoichi that knows Medical Ninjutsu, and you could use the Mystical Palm Technique better than me. I hope I wouldn't trouble you if I ask you if you can help me improve that technique." Karin added. 

Knowing how Itachi felt for this girl, the kunoichi had to try not to place her in any danger, she knew that the elder Uchiha would do the same thing.

"Sasuke saved me a long time ago before he left the village to seek Orochimaru, and Itachi...--From the moment, I met him I knew he wasn't the person that everyone thought him to be. He's a gentle person, that was placed with a horrible burden and did what he had to do." 

If she wasn’t interested in Itachi, why did she collect pictures of his rear end? Ino was very affectionate towards Chouji and Shikamaru, but she had never been possessed with the urge to hold sexy pictures of them. The thought alone made the florist turn a little green, actually. There was truth to what Karin was saying- the scarlet-haired girl was definitely on friendly terms – but Ino knew that if there had been a chance for Karin to get closer with Itachi, she would have jumped on it. The fact that they both appreciated his loveliness… In that sense, the girls were… similar. Ino couldn’t begrudge Itachi a friend like that.

Ino glanced at Karin, surprised by the backhanded compliment she had been offered. A good person?

Was she really?

There were times when she was quite aggressive and wore him out. She was wilful and wanted things done her own way. That wasn’t the mark of a good person. Ino thought she was quite selfish where Itachi was concerned. But she did want him to be happy. Was that really all it took, to be good?

“I hope this Suigetsu is good looking,” she sighed, but was sure something had changed between the jailer and herself. The animosity she had felt was no longer there.

Did she… trust Karin? Ino found the answer within herself. She did. She truly believed her. A girl who had on more than one occasion lusted after the man Ino had set her heart on… Ino trusted that girl.

“… Sasuke-Kun is important. Just like Itachi-San?” The fair-haired girl questioned, a hand on her chin.

"A-ano...K-Karin-san?" The timid young lady hesitantly approached the red head, prodding her fingers together. "I heard it was your birthday...s-so I just wanted to bring you good wishes...Oh! A-and this as well!" Hinata dipped her hands into the pocket of her jacket and pulled out a neatly wrapped package that was purple and had cute little bears printed on it. Inside was a little bracelet that had charms attached. "I hope you like it!"

As a gentle voice called her name, the Uzumaki kunoichi turned around to see a girl with white eyes, by her chakra and the color of her hues, she was a kunoichi from Hyuga and the Hidden Leaf. A slight nod, confirming what she heard was right. Karin was surprised to see someone that she didn't know give her a gift, picking up cute wrapped package she opened it and smiled seeing the bracelet. 

Putting the bracelet and placing it on her wrist, "Thanks...." What was her name again, she did recall Neji calling her name before, "--Hinata, right? Thank you for this gift."

Yamanaka Ino had just given her a gift, after she would always be the one to start the arguments about Itachi, and then other things about both of their appearances.

“T-Thanks, Ino.” She replied, digging into the gift back and inside, there were different kind of pictures of Sasuke and a dress!? And a really beautiful one.

"S-SASUKE! ALL THESE PICTURES OF SASUKE ARE FOR ME!" The redhead squealed, pressing her cheek against each of them, he was surely handsome and every feature of his face was flawless. 

Maybe, the blonde wasn't like Suigetsu at all. Just maybe.

Inside it is a collection of women’s products: soap, shampoo, scrub, lotion, and of course, perfume. 

The elder Uchiha smiled as he extended it to her.

"Happy birthday, Karin. I wish you an entirely pleasant celebration, ah? Do enjoy yourself."

"I-Itachi..? Karin replied in a confused matter as she received the colorful gift-wrapped box. 

Her red hues lowered down as her fingers plucked the lace and removed the wrapping paper to see the content inside of it.

The elder Uchiha did sure know what kind of things she enjoyed, Karin quickly embraced him and held him tightly. Of course, the kunoichi had a soft spot for him, and tended to quickly respond with a hug. 

"Thank you, Itachi. It means a lot to me. You really don't know how much it means to me..."
