It's a bit ironic how Crowley essentially created the universe and how he was tasked with destroying it by handing over the Antichrist to the nuns
(he obviously can hear a wahooo)

I am very sorry.
BUT THIS IS NOT THE ONE I HEARD, IS IT?
IT'S THE SOUND
OF.
A.
MIRACLE.
HERE.
BEFORE AZIRAPHALE TAKES METATRON'S COFFEE, LISTEN WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED. And just how strangely he gives the angel this cup, literally makes him take the coffee, asking alertly "Are you going to take it..?" AND THEN, AFTER HE TAKE A SIP, AZIRAPHALE SIMPLY CHANGES BOTH THE FACE AND THE INTONATION AND EVEN THE MIMIC IN SOME SENSE, AND WHAT IS THIS GIGGLE, HE NEVER DOES THIS. And how closely Metatron generally watches how the angel drinks, directly through his eyes, and then looks askance at Crowley, checking if he suspected anything. And he is absolutely sure that Muriel should stay and wait for him, he is absolutely sure that the angel will agree, because he already knows how to get consent from him.
hEY---
AND AFTER CROWLEY KISSES HIM, HE IS LIKE TO AWAKE AZIRAPHALE. THEN, WHEN METATRON COMES FOR THE ANGEL AND ASKS IF HE WANTS TO TAKE ANYTHING WITH HIMSELF, HE HESITATES AND AGAIN FOR SECONDS COMES TO LIFE. Even a miracle as powerful as the Metatron's can't completely drown out the feelings and connection of these two.
This is in addition to the obvious fact that Aziraphale would never have been so opposed to Crowley's proposal to be "us" on "our" side. He wouldn't insist so much on the possibility of being angels together, "ruling" heaven and fix something for the better; they decided this last season for themselves. He would never trade Him for heaven, or at least for the whole world. He is the world of Aziraphale. Remember the "toast" at the end of past episodes? "To the world". For their world, enclosed in themselves for each other.
ALSO, we are shown where Metatron takes coffee (well, except that the cooking process itself was not shown) in order to give false confidence that there is nothing harmful in this drink.
funny that even Hell didn't try to do something so dishonorable and evil.

"Nothing lasts forever"
I don't know, maybe it's just weird, but my brain gives this
As a small reference to the possibly-impossible conversation in the past(?..)

Well, hello. I usually paint portraits in oil. But now that I’ve got a tablet and PS, they open up the opportunity for artistic exploration that would normally take a long time via traditional methods. I don’t have to wait 2 days for a layer to dry for a start... so that’s encouraging.
Anyways, I like Good Omens. It also happens to be the perfect context to examine different art styles from Renaissance to Victorian times. I started this little historical Good Omens art series last month. Let’s begin with Golgotha Aziraphale and Crowley as Rembrandt style oil portraits :)
