i genuinely just don’t understand why williams have bothered to sign a driver if they have so little faith in his abilities in the car. it’s so damaging to logan to make him sit out of a race at no fault of his own, but because his teammate made a mistake and is then being rewarded by being able to continue his weekend as if it never happened. people were already scrutinising logan’s position in the sport and this will just add further fuel for the people who say he isn’t good enough to be in f1 and it’s so undeserved.

#real??? #i mean in my opinion this would have been the perfect occasion for logan to prove himself as a driver and show he belongs #if he got the better strategy for a weekend and an entire team supporting him that would have made a huge difference #and who knows what he might have done granted that there’s no certainty that alex is going to score points either

A comparison of neck strength, F2 driver vs. F1 driver:

Charles Leclerc (bottom panel) is able to hold his neck steady as he navigates through S1; his head follows the direction of his travel - i.e. as he makes a left turn, he looks to the left. Meanwhile, fatigue has set in for Ollie Bearman (top panel), and his neck is unable to hold his head up; therefore, as he makes a left turn, the lateral G forces push his head to the opposite side.

An impressive example of how physically demanding F1 is as a sport! Don't ever let anyone tell you that these guys are not true athletes.
