We must not forget that there exists a nuclear isomer of technetium-99 (called Tc-99m) that is the most commonly used tracer in radioactive diagnostic medical procedures.

While it is a byproduct of nuclear warfare, one form of it can also be used medically as a diagnostic device to detect illnesses and save lives.

I find that very fitting for a certain exceptionally minded clone :)

Everyone thinks Tech is short for Technician or Technically; when really Tech is short for Technetium

Actually if you think about it there are two puns in the name. The obvious one in 99 and then the second one in the fact that most Technetium is man made and so are the clones XD

I'd love to know how much it eats at Crosshair that one of the last things Tech ever said to him was that he was severe, unyielding, and he'd never change his mind (about working for the empire), that he couldn't change it anymore than any of the other members could help him change it. That it was his nature. How much it kills him inside that as far as he's concerned, that is the last conversation he'll ever have with Tech, since it was in Tech's nature to go help Crosshair at the first sign of his distress anyway, and he died in the attempt.

And I'd also love to know how the words I've changed felt like ash in his mouth.
