I know that if I listened to this half a year ago, I would really have hated it, but after getting into midwest emo, I can really appreciate this album.
Maybe it’s time to branch out into post-hardcore altogether?

I have no idea what to expect from this. But the first track sounds good so far.

I read a review for a prog record that said something along the lines of "the artists were obviously blessed with a high IQ"
and I'm just like fuck you how does that have anything to do with the music
I guess this is what people mean when they say wanky?????

Oh man, I really didn't expect the vocals on Eidolon to be so much better than on Feathergun

Okay, I'm gonna try really hard to put my thoughts on Aeroplane in words.
When I started listening to it, it sounded really hastily-recorded, like 'okay guys we gotta do this in one take'. I guess I'm not that used to listening to lo-fi stuff. After a while, the songs grew on me, and I started to think that it was a real shame it was so quickly put together. Lots of missed potential to sound really goddamn good,
But then I realised, that didn't actually matter. There was no need for the recordings to be of perfect quality, and there was no need to have everything mixed and mastered. What mattered was the songs. How they're written, how they're played.
I wonder if that makes sense.

Today I realised I haven't touched this blog in ages, which is a shame because I managed to grab this great URL. I'll try to get some music blogging done soon!

Have I ever talked about Ticktockman? They're a pretty cool rock band that I discovered a year and a half ago. I really like their self-titled record, it's basically what I think all rock should sound like. But their biggest flaw is that all songs sound the same. They all have exactly the same sound, and it's really easy to get lost in the record. But they're still cool, so check em out or whatever. I really like the first couple songs and Dirty Ole Sunset.

I never took the time to listen to Fables from a Mayfly but it might actually better than Arrows and Anchors. The songs sound too much alike though

I've been listening to Rosetta Stoned a lot because I started liking it more, but after hearing it enough times I've come to the conclusion that the lyrics are not really that great
But that's just looking at the lyrics, the music is still really interesting.
