Which is Your Black Cat?

A hiker, clearly shaken, enters a remote English village pub, his clothes all torn and he's full of scratches. 

"You won't believe this," he says to the bartender. "I was attacked by a leopard!"

"Really?"

"Yes! A leopard! In England!" The hiker sits down and orders the strongest liquor they've got. "I tried to run, but it was if course much faster than me."

The hiker gets his glass, empties it, and asks for another. "It sent me to the ground with a mighty push from its paws, but weirdly enough it then just gave me a really sad look and left."

"Ah, you met Father Andrews," the bartender says, matter-of-factly.

"What do you mean?" asks the tourist, confused.

"Father Andrews was our priest. A truly kind-hearted man, loved by all. His only goal in life was to serve his congregation as well as he could. So when he one day found a lamp with a genie, his very first wish was to be a loving shepherd to the community."

"That's nice "

"Absolutely, if only he hadn't been so prone to spoonerisms."

Seven years ago on this very day, I put together an orchestral medley of themes from Undertale by Toby Fox to celebrate the game’s release and its incredible soundtrack. Recently I decided to dust off the composition, make a few alterations to improve the listening experience, add some new sections featuring leitmotifs that had previously been left on the cutting room floor, and remaster the entire song as a sort of 7th anniversary celebration! And then I remembered I had a couple other tracks that I’d finished but never done anything with, including an orchestrated arrangement of the Blue Oyster Cult song “Astronomy,” so I decided to bring them along as well, and you can download them all on Bandcamp!

Well, here I am, after a forever-long hiatus, with a little sample of my current project. (Funny, I don’t feel anywhere near as rusty as I’d expected to feel…)

This project is inspired by an Undertale/Nier Automata crossover fanfic. Because if anything could give me an excuse to mash up the two video game soundtracks I haven’t been able to stop listening to for the past 2+ years…

This first track is City Ruins + Ruins.

This is probably also a good time to announce that I’ve decided to set up a Patreon! I only launched it a few days ago, so it’s very sparse at the moment… but it’s there: https://www.patreon.com/qubeley

Harnaam Kaur killed it in her first fashion show

Harnaam Kaur finally made her dreams of walking the runway come true early this month at London Fashion Week. After sprouting a beard when she was just 11 years old as a result of a hormonal disorder, she was bullied and is now working towards a bully-free future for all. The show was not only a win for Kaur.
