She glanced him over before smiling softly. “I do try, brother. And you are right. If we trust each other, we won’t.” She took a step closer to him. “Oh I won’t. I find it better to be strong and know exactly what I want. It’s a shame that some aren’t like the way you and I are. Dear brother, you can count on me.”

And with each other’s trust, we shall not fail.” We’re supposed to watch out for one another. And images of Michael’s rage through the desert briefly intruded Gabriel’s thoughts. If only those words were spoken before; If only they were good enough to be effective. “My beloved sister, you are very strong and ambitious with an unbreakable will. Do not lose that.”
“—I’m not trying to offend you dear brother. We’re supposed to watch out for one another.” Her voice as soft as she spoke to him. The archangel sighed. “I do apologize for offending you, Gabriel.”

/wraps samuel in a blanket. gABRIEL DOES WANT THIS TO END. HE KNOWS WhAT HE'S DOING IS WRONG. BUT JUST. he can't stop. and he would for michael. but the wound for gabriel is deeper than anything. his faults are only making it worse and he can't fix it himself. perhaps if the bond was as strong as it used to be, or if it weren’t broken, it wouldn’t be so hard. he truly wishes there wouldn’t have to be an argument between the two of them and that his words weren’t a piercing stab to the heart.

Her green eyes stared at her elder brother as she took a few steps closer to him. “Because, Gabriel…” She looked up at him once she was standing just a few inches from him. “It’s my duty to protect you.” Raziel knew what she had to do. After all, she had to protect her siblings.

A smirk curls its way onto Gabriel’s face and he cants his head in a playful manner. “Oh...nothing too sinister.” He folds his arms behind his back and leans forward to smell a rose. It’s a pleasure to see you again. How much of a pleasure is it really, though? After everything...”Likewise.”
“I came to see you.” Obviously. But his tone is serious and almost melancholic -- for all of the years spent in absence of the other; for Lucifer’s choice in not fighting this war; in everything. How much does his brother know? Why a garden? Gabriel curiously watches him with conflicting emotions. Why?
He should have known, it would have only been a matter of time before one of his brothers came looking for him. And Lucifer hadn’t exactly hidden himself, though he was out of the way. “Gabriel,” he spoke softly, eyes dark. “It is a pleasure to see you again. What brings you here to my garden?”

And what do you think it will do to Mikhail if you face exile?” Heylel’s voice quieted, if only a little. “It nearly drove him mad, Jibril, when I was cast out. What do you think it will mean for his twin to suffer the same fate? He is Eeo Monheh, Gabriel; My Heart, but I am not his other half. That is you. I will not implore as the others have. Only remind you that your actions have repercussions, that you do not think of him. I am not bound by Father’s will any longer; Gabriel. I will not allow you to destroy him. Telling Gabriel that God left because of him really does wound him, though he’ll not show it. He also has a difficult time admitting to...many things. Or at least, he wouldn't admit them at all and maybe he's in such denial that he's lying to himself. Probably about the longing for God. For Michael. And the revenge, obviously it's on humanity, but it's on God and Michael too.
Aren't you tired of it Gabriel? The fighting? The hoping? Well that was run dry a long time ago. And there's a chance that the reason he wants the chosen one to come to Gabriel on his own is to prove that hope/God are not something to rely on anymore. Because Gabriel already went through all of that and seeing that there's still so much hope is a bit irritating since he knows the end result is disappointment, I suppose. And that it can be easily crushed. It's not as strong as everyone makes it out to be. But that's where he underestimated humanity and he'll give them that though, as stated before, he's not going to admit it. Along with the fact that he still yearns for God's return, even if he doesn't realize it. It's probably there hidden underneath the pain. Further beneath the longing to be brothers again with Michael. And the need for his forgiveness for this chaos.
I'm not sure if Gabriel would even kill Michael. He did beat him when Michael would not listen. I'm not trying to justify his actions. And would Gabriel let Michael kill him to give Michael his redemption? To let this madness stop? Maybe that would be Gabriel's atonement. After all, if God left because of Gabriel, what better way to bring Him back?
Maybe when Gabriel saw how intoxicating the bloodshed was to Michael, Gabriel felt it. Somewhat. Like a lingering effect. I don't think Gabriel would blame Michael for doing whatever he can to stop Gabriel because of Gabriel's response to Michael's insanity. Possibly. And possibly, Gabriel wouldn't want his death to be by anyone else's hands other than Michael's. If it comes down to that. Gabriel knows Michael is the better half. He calls him that. What if there's a sliver of a chance that he's doing this to prove that. Probably not but.
