Women of the Tyne Exhibition
I'm Fran, a 17 year old A-Level student from North Tyneside, who is planning a multi-media art exhibition focusing on local women, both modern and historical, including art by women of all ages.

After contacting many artists, and several cancellations, I now have my final four artists: Bernadette Koranteng, Curious Seagull, Kate McGinley, and Laura Brown. I will be posting their artists’ biographies presently.

After a lot of searching, begging, and e-mailing various venues, I finally got my local library- Whitley Bay, to agree to let me hold the exhibition there for free! It will be running from July 20th, until August 8th 2015. How exciting!

I'm currently trying to find a place to hold the exhibition, but not having much luck with the council- you would think they wouldn't want an annoying teenager ringing them up, trying to find somewhere to hold an exhibition!
I've also been researching local female artists, and have found some promising contenders!
