just thought i’d give a little update. my mom is not doing great right now, and that’s been really triggering my anxiety and ptsd so much so that i basically am sleeping all day. and with a negative headspace tumblr isn’t healthy for me to be on. i’ll be on discord for the time being. if we’re mutuals, feel free to ask for it! i write there too so!

               telepathy   is   an   ability   that   david   cannot   turn   off.   due   to   his   power   level   ,   he   can   constantly   hear   the   thoughts   ,   memories   ,   hopes   ,   and   fears   of   those   around   him.   and   because   of   his   power   —   it   has   a   large   range   ,   meaning   up   to   hundreds   of   people’s   thoughts   can   be   streamed   into   his   head   directly.   however   ,   the   closer   he   is   to   someone   ,   the   stronger   the   ‘   signal   ’   is.                it   evolved   as   he   grew   up   and   reached   its   apex   during   his   teenage   years.   it   was   too   loud   ,   too   much   ,   he   felt   like   he   was   going   to   explode   due   to   how   much   was   going   through   his   head.   this   is   when   he   began   to   self-medicate   ,   using   alcohol   and   prescription   painkillers   to   metaphorically   ‘   turn   down   the   volume   ’   in   his   head.   past   high   school   ,   he   self   medicates   with   vapor   to   dull   out   the   voices   despite   what   his   therapist   ,   dr.   poole   ,   had   recommended.   following   clockworks   ,   he   is   overly   medicated   —   essentially   ,   a   zombie.   but   even   with   how   medicated   he   is   ,   he   can   still   hear   the   immediate   thoughts   of   those   around   him.                while   at   summerland   ,   david   learns   exercises   to   turn   down   the   volume   without   the   use   of   drugs   or   alcohol   ,   through   meditation   and   breathing.   present   day   :   this   is   what   he   mainly   uses   to   control   his   telepathy   and   keep   the   background   chatter   low.
