like i said! some stuff about harpies

sorry if this is messy. just infodumping here. so. my take on harpies for the ocverse that theyre in

usually females have two pairs of wings and males have one pair. males are usually lighter in colour and are bigger. all harpies are pretty big though

in natural/traditional harpy societies, the females go out hunting and the males remain to protect territory. more modern societies are a lot closer to humans and have less strict roles. some live almost entirely like human individuals however most harpies still tend to try and involve some kind of harpy instinct in their lives

traditionally they usually focus on hunting animals and aim to avoid humans but will attack them if they stray into their territories without permission. in harpy groups now they still hunt animals but some also farm and breed them. also they are slightly more welcoming to strangers

my train of thought is going offtrack so ill continue this later maybe

trying new style of doing sketch colorinng. also. heres a harpy design. gona rant a bit about them on my oc blog

actually. kinda wanna talk about ths. i was gonna do a bunch of gem stuff with moonstone and stichtite and the other gems i made and i even made diamonds n stuff and i had a lot for it actually. i need to focus on a lot of other oc stories too though. fuck
