i feel like i've become unable to read books that are centered around high school or college in america, every time i start one i end up dropping it. actually, i have a hard time reading most new contemporary fiction books set in america because there's just something about the writing/dialogue that often really annoys me, it's like the authors try too hard to include like gen z/twitter/tiktok slang in a way that often doesn't even feel natural. idk how to explain it, and obviously there's technically nothing wrong with that, but a lot of those books just personally makes me want to roll my eyes. so anyway, i think i need to start focusing on reading non-contemporary fiction books lol
i'm so tired of the "spring" weather we've had so far this year, every day in april (and also march from what i remember) it's been windy and/or raining and it's only like 10 degrees every day.
