Man, I have some thoughts on Mitsuhide's event story.

I've been thinking a little bit about Hideyoshi's recent revival event, and I realized something.

I don't think I have *ever* been anxious for Hideyoshi re: Nobunaga. Not in the same way I tend to find myself fretting for Mitsuhide.

You can tear the latter apart. Quite easily, actually. But Hideyoshi is slippery: I don't think there's ever been a point where he didn't come across as fundamentally *in control,* in a way that poor, rock-solid Mitsuhide doesn't always quite manage.

OK the idea of the Oshu boys rallying around the MC to give her all the support and encouragement she needed in a precarious situation just hit me like a ton of bricks. ❤️😭

Honestly, though, I do wonder how MC and Masamune would have handled an unplanned, premarital pregnancy given his position and the Date clan's seeming tendency towards fractiousness. Would they have simply aborted the pregnancy, or gone forward with it?

Part of what I find so sad-funny about this is that I could actually see Masamune being extremely appealing to a certain type of child. He doesn't have Shigezane's natural boisterousness and people skills, but a shy and withdrawn kid might actually appreciate the quiet.

I'm assuming from the context of Shigezane's arc that he never saw his mother again prior to her death, which does leave me wondering if he ever made the attempt.

I wonder what he knew about where she was? If he ever asked anyone why?

Oh, man, this made me feel ludicrously soft. Kojuro saw an abused and neglected child and paid attention to him, thought about his wants and needs. Took time for him.

I cannot tell you how much I have wondered about this situation over the last year or so. I've never been clear on what Terumune thought and even less so what anyone else did.

In the clan's collective shoes, I would probably have chosen Shigezane.
