The halfway mark to the hospital didn’t take as long as you had expected, but Ghost had expertly traversed the streets. The vegetation had begun to take over, and if it weren’t for the dead roaming the streets you would consider it peaceful. Ghost peaked a corner as you waited for his instruction. “Alright the hospital is just ahead. There are some dead roamin’ around, but if ya’ keep ta’ the scattered cars for cover and follow my lead we’ll make it without alertin’ any of em’”, he told you.
He crouched down and made his way to the first car with you following right behind him. It was pretty easy to traverse since some of the cars were close together from the panic when the dead started their tirade. It went on like this for a couple more streets until you both had made it to the ambulance entrance. “We can’t go in this way, come on, I know where to go from here”, you told him going to the back of the hospital.
The back of the hospital had an old fire escape on it, and you smiled as you started climbing. Half way up it groaned and Ghost looked at you as you shrugged continuing on as the memories came flooding back.
—-------------------------------
It was dark as the stars twinkled like diamonds and the small city was quieting down for the night. The hospital seemed quiet tonight as you made your way up the fire escape. It groaned slightly and you shook your head as you continued to climb. You reached the top and hoisted yourself over. Kane sat in an old lawn chair smoking a cigarette. “Wondered if you were gonna’ show up”, he laughed.
You laughed as you sauntered over and straddled him. “Well I would have been here sooner, but traffic was a drag”, you replied. “I’m sorry I haven’t been home princess, but they needed me to stay when some of the others called in”, he apologized. “It’s okay I’m here now”, you smirked as he kissed you. His hands went under your shirt to grope you. In minutes you were both naked with Kane moaning beneath you as you giggled.
—--------------------------------
When you pulled yourself over the ledge onto the roof there sat the old lawn chair that Kane had left there. You wiped at your eyes as you tried to focus on the present. Ghost watched as you seemed to take in the scene before you. The door was still slightly cracked with a cigarette carton keeping it from closing completely. “This is our way in”, you smiled. The stairwell led down all the way to the ground floor.
“Alright this is where we need to split up’, you whispered to him. “I don’t think tha’s a good idea”, he replied. “Look we only have a couple hours of daylight. There are ten floors if we sweep them alternating then we can get done faster. I told you where the supply rooms are on each floor”, you explained. “Fine, but if you aren’t on the roof in thirty minutes I leave you behind ," he told you. You nodded and headed to the first floor while he took the second.
It was extremely dark on the first floor as you made your way to the medical supply room. There wasn’t much since it seemed to have already been ransacked. You went to exit when you heard it. The dead must have heard you so you quickly made your way towards the stairs. You had just managed to close the door when they slammed into it. The noise of them slamming against the door would likely draw attention.
You quickened your pace and went to the third floor. All the floors you went to you packed all the supplies you could shove into your pack. You were on your last floor, the ninth when it happened. You had gotten a motherload of antibiotics, pain meds and so much more when you heard the dead on this floor. Most seemed trapped in rooms so you weren’t too worried.
You went to leave when a room caught your eye. You remembered that room like it was yesterday. All the memories flooding back to you crushing all sense of loneliness that you had felt.
—------------------------------
Sneaking into the hospital had been easy and finding the room he had text you was a little trickier due to the nurses, but you managed to slip inside. Kane was standing there looking out the window as you entered. “I would have rather done this at home, but we can play just as easily here”, he smiled. He approached you quickly to kiss you until you were breathless. He smirked at you as you smiled knowing what was about to happen.
He spun you around quickly pushing you over the bed pushing down your pants, and then his own. The first thrust had you mewling as he covered your mouth with his hand. “Easy princess can’t get caught now”, he chuckled into your ear. The whole hour just the two of you in various positions and how he had held you for the last ten minutes of his break.
—------------------------------
The memory faded and you were staring at the window when you caught movement. It was too late as the shriek met your ears and you crashed to the floor as it attacked. You panicked, kicking at the deadhead that had gotten the drop on you. You scrambled back as your back hit the wall. The kick didn’t have much of an impact other than giving you a couple seconds to react.
You grabbed an IV pole and swung it at the deadhead, disorienting it for another couple seconds. You swung the pole again but missed causing the window behind you to shatter. It charged again and pushed you against the now broken window causing shards of glass to cut into your back. You cried out as the pain radiated through your back and up your spine.
You slipped down some more making bigger gashes in your back, but it gave you leverage. You were able to topple the deadhead out the window and soon a thudding sound from below. The deadhead lay motionless and you realized the sun was an hour away from sunset. Ghost would leave you behind soon you had to get moving, but not before taking care of your wounds. You pulled out some bandaging material and wrapped yourself up to help staunch the bleeding.
Then you started making your way to the stairs when you noticed a hoodie draped on the back of a chair at the nurses station. You picked it up, putting it on and heading up to the roof where Ghost was waiting. “What happened?”, he groused. “I had to take care of some deadheads”, you replied. You knew you should have told him about your injuries, but you both needed to head out of the city before it got dark.
“Where did you get a duffle bag from?”, you questioned, noticing the new item. “Found it in one of the supply rooms looks like someone had the same idea you did”, he supplied. You both made it back out of the city and to the house Josie and Jack had occupied. Ghost showed his duffle bag and pack both were a lot more than what you thought you would get. Your pack added to that would sustain the base as long as no one got severely injured or sick.
Jack waddled up to you as you were eating an MRE and reached a hand towards your spoon. “Jack no sweetheart that’s not yours”, Josie scolded. “It’s okay I don’t mind sharing”, you smiled. You gave him a spoonful of the mashed potatoes and he ate them happily. You continued to share spoonfuls of your food with him until he waddled over to Ghost. You were shocked when he handed Jack some of his apples he had cut up.
It was getting late and you all lay down to sleep except Ghost who kept watch to make sure none of the deadheads had followed. He watched as you turned over onto your stomach with a grimace on your face until you settled again. He had to admit, you had intrigued him since you fought him when he had put a knife to your throat. He was also impressed with how loyal you had been to watch over Soap.
He was beginning to take a liking to you and that could be dangerous, but he hated to admit that he liked it. After another half hour without any contact he made a space and fell asleep. You jolted awake by a hand shaking you. It was Josie and she was visibly terrified as she pointed to the windows. There were deadheads passing by but they hadn’t noticed any of you inside yet. “Don’t move and be ready in case we need to bolt”, you told her. You army crawled over to Ghost making sure to move slowly.
You gently nudged him and he woke eyes finding yours. “There are dead outside, they haven’t noticed us yet”, you hushed. “Grab your gear, we bug out if they notice us”, he replied. You all moved quietly and noticed that there was sunlight starting to come through the trees. Ghost made sure everyone was ready. As soon as he opened the door it alerted the dead.
Their shrieks and groans spurred the three of you into action as you booked it in the opposite direction of the base. When you looked behind you there were at least fifty in the herd of grotesque flesh. Some newer and some that had been decomposing for a long time. “We gotta’ keep moving until we lose' em”, Ghost relayed.
It didn’t hit you until you realized if you continued in this direction it would take you a day and a half to reach the small town you and Kane had lived in. You relayed this to Ghost since there weren’t many options for you all. He agreed as no one stopped even when the dead fell behind. Josie was starting to lag slightly as she was carrying Jack so you offered to carry him for a time to give her a break.
The four of you traveled all day and night not stopping unless it was absolutely necessary. Sleep and exhaustion was nagging at everyone except Ghost it seemed. Jack, even being carried, could sleep, but Ghost didn’t seem to tire at all. It made you wonder if he was even one-hundred percent human. The pain in your back from the injuries you sustained wasn’t helping anything as you started falling behind.
Ghost looked at you as if you were under a microscope of scrutiny. It’s like he knew you had been lying to him about being alright earlier. You pushed yourself to keep up and once daylight hit again you realized the clouds that were rolling in. Traveling straight over the mountains had made the trip shorter than you expected because down below was the town.
The town was bringing back more memories than you were ready for, but it looked like the town was deadhead free. Right as you reached the street with the house you and Kane used to live in, the sky had darkened to an eerie atmosphere. Flashes of lightning whipped across the sky as the thunder was deafening. You had just made it onto the two story log cabin porch when the sky let a torrential downpour reign the surrounding area.
Once inside Ghost cleared the house to make sure it was safe. “Well at least we have shelter from the rain”, Josie said as she put Jack down. You quickly went to the mud room to gather up firewood and kindling for the open fireplace. It took a few minutes to get the fire roaring and knock off the chill. “We need to board up these windows”, Ghost announced. “We have some old boards in the shed out back I’ll help you”, you confirmed.
Two hours later and everyone was calmly sitting on sofas near the fire. “Ya know it’s nice to have a little normalcy like nothing's wrong outside”, Josie mused. “That kind of thinkin’ gets people killed”, Ghost commented. You looked at him as he took stock of all the supplies. “The MRE’s are almost gone, we won't ‘ave enough to sustain us for the trip back”, he sighed. “I think I can help with that too”, you smiled while going to the kitchen.
Ghost followed behind you as you moved a rug to show an old trap door. You grabbed an old lamp and lit the wick taking the stairs down. When you reached the bottom, Ghost's eyes went wide. The whole cellar was stocked full of non-perishable items. “Guess you could say we were prepared”, you smiled. You both took several items up the stairs and grabbed some cast iron skillets and pots from the kitchen. You cooked all the food that had been brought up and once everyone was full it was time for bed.
After making sure the front, back and mud room doors were secured you showed everyone the rooms they could take. With your old room going to Josie and Jack with Ghost taking the guest room that left one. Kane’s room was just how you had left it all those years ago, but you couldn’t bring yourself to sleep in there. Not with all the memories that had been made there. Taking a blanket and pillow you headed down to the couch. Every hour you got up to put more wood on the fire.
Ghost came down right before sun up meaning Josie and Jack were still asleep. “I want to know why you all were out and how Kane died”, Ghost spoke. “I told you why and how already”, you replied. “Ya’ said you all were goin’ for supplies, but you ‘ad plenty of food ‘ere so what supplies were you after”, he persisted. “We were trying to find a battery for the old truck in the neighbors barn about two miles down that field in the back”, you relented. “We thought if we could get it running we could scavenge easier and find some ammo, but it proved to be a fatal mistake”, you explained.
“I was able to scavenge the battery, but the ammo was a bust. When I got back here I couldn’t bring myself to fix the damn truck”, you sniffled. “You were more than just friends with ‘im”, he said, but it sounded like a statement. You only nodded as Ghost said something about using the truck to get back to base. Josie came flying down the stairs with Jack startling you. “He’s here”, she lamented.
“What?”, you asked, but then a banging and a man yelling from the front door. “I know you’re in there Josie, you're coming back home so Jack can have plenty of brothers and sisters”, he growled. “You can’t let me or Jack go back there please. I don’t want to be a brood mare for that monster”, she said through her sobs. “Hurry, come with me and don’t make a sound no matter what you hear, okay”, you told her.
You quickly led them to the kitchen lifting up the trap door ushering them downstairs. You closed the trap door and placed the heavy rug back over it when the front door finally gave way. A scruffy dirty man in his thirties holding a rifle walked in locking eyes with you. “Who the fuck are you and why are you in my house”, you hissed. “Where is my wife and son?”, he bellowed. “I’m the only one here. You’re more than welcome to search the house if you like then you fucking leave”, you seethed.
He tore through the house screaming for Josie and Jack, but when he didn’t find them he came back to you. He was seething with rage, “I know they were here now where did they run to”. “I’m telling you I’m the only one here, and I haven’t seen another human being in months”, you growled. “Fine if she won’t come back I’ll just start fresh”, he chuckled. Then before you had time to react he hit you in the head with his rifle.
When you woke up you were in Kane’s room on his bed. You tried to put your hand on your head where you had been hit when you noticed your hands had been tied to the corners of the bed. Then you noticed your ankles had been tied to the bed too and you were completely naked with a leather belt in your mouth as a makeshift gag. You thrashed and tried to yell out when movement at the end of the bed startled you.
It was Josie’s so-called husband stripped down, and you could tell by the way he stroked himself what was about to happen. “Since Josie has decided to run off without giving my son back I’ll have to make another one it seems”, he laughed. You thrashed even harder as he climbed over top of you and slapped your face. “Now be good, I know it probably won’t take on the first try, but I intend to keep you in this bed until I know you’re good and pregnant”, he huffed. You headbutted him and he backhanded you hard enough you tasted blood.
He pushed his underwear down and off then settled between your spread legs. You screamed as he pushed into you laughing at your pain. “You’ll learn to like it. I know I will”, he groaned. You started sobbing as he continued his sadistic fantasy. You were able to get the gag out of your mouth and lunging forward you bit him hard and pulled. Blood filled your mouth as you spit out the chunk of flesh you took out of him.
He punched you right in the face and it dazed you so badly you didn’t realize he started thrusting again. “You fucking bitch I’ll keep you tied up forever if that’s how you want to act”, he bellowed. Your back was bleeding from the scab wounds from the window at the hospital. You wailed as he continued, but it was soon interrupted by a loud crash. There standing in the doorway was Ghost and you could tell he was boiling over in rage.
“What the…” the man said, but was cut off when Ghost pulled him off you. He was seeing red as he continued to hit the man into unconsciousness. When he pulled back to make sure the fucker was still breathing he turned to you noticing the blood on the sheets. “Oh love”, he soothed. He pulled out one of his knives and cut you free as you curled in on yourself sobbing. He grabbed a blanket and wrapped you in it and pulled you to his chest.
You cried for what felt like hours until Ghost asked about the blood. “I cut my… back on a window back at… the hospital. The scabs came…off”, you hiccuped. You were trying to stay focused on anything other than what had just happened. “Josie and Jack they’re…”, you said. “They're safe. Josie was the one that told me he was here”, he told you, petting your hair. You didn’t know why, but Ghost felt so safe at this moment and you were afraid if he let you go this would all disappear and that man would still be over you.
“Can I take a look at your back? Don’t want it gettin’ infected”, he hushed. You nodded and let the blanket slip down to reveal the damage that had been done. “Let me bandage ya’ up then we can get ya’ some clothes”, he whispered. You felt like a puppet afraid of its strings being cut rendering it broken without being near Ghost. He was like a rock that steadied you in a turbulent wind. He quickly patched you up then took you to your old room to find your old clothes.
Once dressed he took you downstairs where Josie and Jack sat. You could tell Josie had been crying no doubt knowing what happened to you. He sat you down beside her and she instantly pulled you into her and Jack as she apologized again and again through her tears. Ghost came down the stairs dragging the man that he had now tied up. “I’ll be next door in the vacant house if ya’ need me”, he said.
“What are you going to do to him?”, you asked. “I’m gonna’ make ‘im suffer nice and slow”, Ghost calmly stated. That's all you needed to hear as he dragged him out the now broken door. It didn’t take too long when Ghost came back looking over your face noticing the blood on your mouth. “Where is the blood from?”, he asked. “I bit a chunk out of him”, you murmured. You could have swore you saw a slight smirk under the mask. He made sure that none of the hits you took to your face broke any bone which he concluded didn’t
Ghost fixed a makeshift door and nailed boards in front of it to keep anything from getting in. No one went upstairs that night as everyone settled around the fire. Josie made a meal, but you didn’t feel like eating which Ghost understood. He knew it was going to take you a while before you were back on your feet. It was unfortunate because he needed you level headed for his plan tomorrow. You curled into a ball on the small loveseat as Ghost lay in front of it.
You woke a couple times crying and wailing while Ghost sat there and held your hand. He wasn’t used to this, but he knew that you needed him and as much as he usually hated this type of interaction for you he would do whatever it took to be there for you. After your fifth time waking he pulled you down to the floor with him and let you curl into his side. As you slept he could see the bruises on your now marred face, and vowed he was going to make that man suffer for as long as it took you to heal.

The night was calm and somewhat balmy as you walked along the street. Rural town life was usually calm like tonight, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. You had received a text from your friend Kane saying he would be home shortly. He had served in the same unit as you and when you both went back to civilian life you both decided to stick it out together. You had a block left before your house, and you stopped to admire the sounds of the night.
The silence was broken by an ambulance wailing in the distance as it went to pick up a patient. Shaking your head you made your way to your house and let yourself in. Taking a shower helped to calm you some more, and then you started on your late dinner. As you finished up Kane came into the house. He said something about taking a shower then he would be down for his dinner.
The rest of the night went smoothly other than Kane complaining about the overflow of patients coming into the ER with massive fevers and acting erratic to the point of needing restraints. The dishes could wait until tomorrow as you both said goodnight and went to your separate rooms. That feeling was still there like something was wrong, but you relaxed as you checked your gun on the bedside table.
A banging on your bedroom door had you reaching for your gun. When you opened it Kane stood there fully dressed with a rifle in his hands. “What are you doing? What’s going on?”, you yawned trying to wake up fully. “Somethings going on, people are attacking other people”, he said. “What?”, you questioned. He didn’t explain as he told you to pack and pack you did. You remembered watching your town disappear in the side view mirror.
A couple weeks later and all kinds of reports finally filled you in on what had happened. People dying but coming back to life attacking living people. One bite from the dead meant a death sentence, but you and Kane were doing good considering taking shelter in the mountains. Luck though ran out when making a run into a town for more supplies.
Kane screamed as he was torn apart by deadheads. You raised your gun with your last bullet in the chamber and fired it into his head. Mercy for your friend was the last thing you could give him as you turned and ran for your life. You ran until you realized there was nowhere to go and you were on the third story. The sparkling water of the outdoor pond in front of the store drew your attention.
You ran dodging grasping hands of the deadheads. You had to make it. Kane had sacrificed himself so you could live. Legs aching, lungs burning, hearing the growls and squealing sounds of the dead drove you forward. You made it to the large glass window and jumped through screaming as you plummeted down into the freezing water…
—-----------------------------------------------
You woke with a jolt as you looked around, finding that you were still in Soap’s medical room. Getting up you walked to the small bathroom to relieve your bladder and washed your hands. That's when it dawned on you they had electricity and running water. You marveled at it for a while, but eventually went back out into Soap’s room. You hadn’t noticed the shadow lurking in the room with you as you checked the machines he was hooked up to. You sat back in the chair beside Soap’s bed when you noticed something in your peripheral.
It was moving slowly and then you realized it was Ghost. “Holy shit Ghost you startled me I thought…”, you started, but noticed the odd jerky movement he had. He stepped more into the light and revealed your nightmare. Rotting flesh, hanging jaw and the horrible sound that the deadheads made. You had nothing to defend yourself with as he lunged at you.
—-----------------------------
You thrashed and screamed until you could hear two sets of voices. Opening your eyes you came face to face with a skull mask and that sent you into more of a panic. You yanked from the grip and fell onto your ass scrambling back until your back met the wall. Panting you looked around noticing that Soap was sitting up talking, but you couldn’t make out what he was saying.
Then your eyes found the mask again, but it wasn’t bloody and the jaw wasn’t hanging. That's when you realized it was a nightmare you had still been asleep. “Easy, ya’ were screaming and thrashing in yer sleep lass. It’s alright yer safe”, Soap’s voice finally broke through. Ghost stood there not sure if he would send you into more of a panic or not.
“You're alive”, you breathed, looking at Ghost. “Yeah had to hunker down a while for the dead to pass after leadin’ em away”, he responded. You nodded as he sat down in a chair looking at you with those scrutinizing eyes. “Who’s Kane?”, he asked, but it sounded more like a command. “How do you know that name?!”, you hissed. “That’s who you were calling out to in your sleep before ya’ started screamin’ like ya did”, he replied.
You mulled it over wondering if you should tell them, but figured there was no point since Kane was gone. “He was someone I served with and when we went back to civilian life he offered me a place to stay. He worked at a hospital and had seen the people coming in with all the symptoms before people started coming back ya know. We fled into the mountains and lived there for a while until we needed supplies.”, you relayed.
“Then we went into this town scavenging and found a motherload of stuff we could use. We got trapped on the third story of this shopping center. Kane… he knew there was no way out and the fresher deadheads were closing in. He took out as many as he could then took them on with his empty rifle. They… they… tore him apart while he was still… alive. I shot him in the head with my last bullet so he wouldn’t have to suffer anymore”.
“Then I jumped out of the third story into a pond they had in front of the stores. I’ve been on my own since”, you finished as you wiped the tears from your eyes. “What else”, Ghost said. “That’s it I stumbled onto you all by accident scavenging for food”, you responded. Ghost stared you down and you knew he wasn’t convinced, but you were not going to tell him how you thought he was a deadhead because of a nightmare.
Ghost let Soap talk on how the doc was concerned because they were running low on some much needed supplies. That piqued your interest because if your calculations were correct there was a hospital a couple days journey from here. The one that Kane used to work at you knew the layout and where all the things they could ever need would be. “I know where we can get all the medical supplies you need”, you blurted.
They both stopped and turned your way as if waiting for you to go on. “Kane used to work at the hospital there and I know where everything is”, you continued. Soap and Ghost shared a look then Ghost stood motioning you to follow him. “Where are we going?” you asked, getting up to walk towards him. “Yer going to tell Captain Price exactly what you just told us”, he remarked. You swallowed hard wondering if this was just a ploy to get you alone to slit your throat like he tried to do before.
The walk didn’t take long and once Price waved the both of you in Ghost had you explain about the hospital. You tried to convince Price to let you go alone in case the hospital was a death trap so he wouldn't lose any of his men, but he insisted Ghost go with you. Begrudgingly packing the small supplies you would need, Ghost watched you carefully. No weapons for you was a let down, but Ghost was strapped with knives all over, a pistol and an assault rifle.
The daylight peeked through the trees as you were led by Ghost to the compound gate. The walk showed you just how large this base was. They had gardens, greenhouses, cattle, chickens and horses. How you wished you could take the horses as it would make the trip faster, but a bad idea the closer to the city you got. Once the gate was open the both of you started the journey.
The bag for supplies that had been given to you only held a canteen for water and twelve MRE’s to sustain you the trip there and back. It should only take four days in theory to get the supplies and get back. Ghost had his pack with his canteen and own MRE’s although one of the cooks in the mess hall had given him something thickly wrapped in old newspapers. It didn’t take long to realize that he kept his head on a swivel at all times, and would grouse at you if you started ‘laggin’ behind' as he called it.
You walked all day until Ghost stopped abruptly causing you to bump into him. He looked back at you over his shoulder as you apologized. He had his gaze fixed on some houses at the edge of a small town. “We’ll pick one for the night and sleep there until we’re ready to move in the mornin”, he said. “Okay well which one are we picking? It's getting darker by the minute”, you huffed. Night meant darkness and darkness could keep you from seeing danger until it was too late.
The first house was a small block house that seemed like it had a small stove pipe coming out of it and the second house was a two story. The small block house only had a few windows and two doors, and the second house had multiple windows and doors. You were leaning towards the two story house, but of course Ghost picked the small block house. It didn’t take Ghost long to sweep and clear the house, and as soon as it was clear he waved you in. The windows were somewhat boarded up, but left a small gap between two boards to be able to see outside.
You barricaded the back entrance while Ghost went out to a small shed. He came back in with some wood to start a fire in the small stove. Once it was nice and warm he took to fixing his MRE. You watched the outside world for any signs of movement, but nothing was out there. It took you a couple of hours until you felt safe enough to eat. The MRE was the best thing you had tasted as you realized how hungry the journey so far had made you.
Ghost took watch by the door as you finished up your food. “Are you going to sit there all night?”, you questioned. “No jus’ until I know the smell of smoke hasn’t attracted any attention' ', he responded. Nodding at his answer you quickly walked around finding some blankets and pillows. Shaking the dust off of them you could tell they would be warm, but then came the next dilemma. The couch looked inviting, but you figured Ghost would want something more comfortable than the ground so you scooted close to the fire and put your pillows down.
Ghost glanced at you and seemed to raise a brow at you, but he didn’t make any comment as you chucked a pillow next to him followed by a quilt. The silence was deafening, but as you lay there you couldn’t help but feel anxious about the next couple of days. If you made it to the hospital and managed to get in you would have to be cautious and vigilant for any dead that may be roaming the halls. About two hours after he had sat at the window Ghost settled on the couch quickly getting comfortable.
It felt like eight minutes had passed when you heard a slight snore coming from Ghost. ‘Well at least he can sleep’ you thought. You looked over at him seeing his arms crossed over his chest as it rose and fell. Looking up towards his face in the glow of the fire light he still had his mask on which was a little unsettling. You wonder what he looked like underneath it and those thoughts helped you to settle in for sleep.
The next morning you woke up to see the couch empty and nearly jumped out of your skin when a hand placed itself over your mouth. When you turned your head Ghost had a finger to where his mouth would have been. You nodded as he withdrew his hand and you went to gather your stuff when Ghost shook his head and pointed at the window. When you looked out your blood turned to ice in your veins.
There were dozens of deadheads roaming in the street. “Where did they all come from?”, you whispered. “Dunno but it may have something to do with that”, he said, watching a woman carrying something against her chest dart between houses to avoid the dead. “She is heading this way, she must have seen the smoke. We can’t leave her out there”, you harshly whispered. He shook his head no, but you moved to the door before he could grab your wrist.
Unlocking the door and quietly as possible you waved to her to hurry. She darted quickly through the door as you closed it just as quietly as you had opened it. She turned to see Ghost and almost let out a scream had you not covered her mouth. “We aren’t going to hurt you I promise. We need you to be quiet or we attract the flesh eaters out there”, you told her. She slowly blinked at you then nodded. “ I have been making my way here off the mountain since this morning. I thought you may have been my husband. “Your husband?”, Ghost asked.
“Yes he left a day ago to come down here to scavenge for supplies, but he didn’t come home. When I saw the smoke I figured he had holed up in this house”, she explained. “We haven’t seen anyone”, you replied. “Show me your arms n’ legs”, Ghost cut in. “What?”, the woman questioned. “Show. Me. Your. Arms n’ Legs”, he said again more sternly. “It’s to make sure you don’t have any bites”, you explained to her as she slowly showed her arms then legs. When she moved, that's when you noticed the curls of dark hair peeking out of the swaddle attached to her front.
“You have a child”, you pointed out. “Oh yes this is my son Jack”, she answered with a smile. “How old is he?”, you conversed. “He is two and a half years old”, she responded. You noted she was very young and it was unsettling how young she looked. “What’s your name and how old are you?”, you questioned. She hesitated a little before answering, “My name is Josie and I’m eighteen”, she said. She pulled the toddler out of the swaddle and put him on the floor.
He stood up shakily and waddled over to Ghost and looked up, cocking his head. Ghost tensed, but stood still as the toddler seemed to assess him. Then he put his hands up as he giggled as if waiting for something. Ghost cocked his head at Jack until his mother apologized saying something about that was his way of asking to be picked up.
For the next couple of hours Ghost kept watch as the deadheads moved out of the town. “Alright pack up (Y/N) and be ready to move out”, he informed you. “Wait where are you going, maybe we can come with you”, Josie seemed on edge. “Where we’re going is dangerous and we will need to be quiet. I doubt you can keep him from crying if it were life or death”, Ghost harshly told her.
You glared at Ghost as he shrugged and packed up his things. “Maybe you can wait here and we can get you on the way back. That way if your husband shows up you won’t be far away”, you suggested. Josie seemed very hesitant and that is when you noticed the signs. “You didn’t choose your husband did you?”, you asked.
Josie’s head flew up so fast you thought she would snap her own neck. “How did you…”, she trailed off as Ghost stood by the door watching this little drama unfold. “If you were truly looking for your husband you wouldn’t have ran in when you saw me waving to you. You don’t seem too concerned about finding him, which I assume is why you are running from him. On top of all that if you're eighteen then you were sixteen when you had Jack”, you finished.
Ghost watched as Josie’s face fell as she was about to speak again. “You can tell your story on our journey”, Ghost said as he shouldered his pack. You grabbed your stuff as Josie put Jack back in his swaddle on her chest. About forty-five minutes later Josie explained to the both of you how she had been traded by her father for food. How the man at first made her clean and do mundane things to keep his cabin tidy, but after a month of living there he kept talking about how she reminded him of his wife. How she was eaten right in front of him.
Josie continued to talk about how he and his wife had wanted to start a family. Then he suggested he could start a family with her, and when she refused he tied her to the bed raping her until she got pregnant. Ghost stiffened and had a white knuckled grip on his rifle. He made up his mind if he ever came across the man he would kill him slowly. You listened with tears in your eyes thinking of how terrified Josie must have been. You all stopped for an MRE on the way giving one of yours to Josie and Jack, before picking back up on the trek.
“I so badly wished that I would have miscarried, but he watched me like a hawk. I tried to kill myself a couple of times, but he found me before I could fully commit. Then when I started feeling the kicks I couldn’t bring myself to kill either of us. He was gone when I went into labor. I was so terrified I had no idea of how to deliver a baby let alone my own baby. It went by so fast, several pushes and he was out. I pulled him into my arms and I promised I would never let anything happen to him naming him Jack”, she finished.
Ghost was in his own head remembering his time when he had been captured and tortured. His mind was a dangerous place, but it kept him alive and that’s what mattered. You watched Ghost as he continued ahead. You noticed he seemed somewhere else as he continued. Night was four hours away, but you had made it just outside the city. Ghost quickly pulled his binoculars off and surveyed. It was a small city and he quickly spotted the hospital on the other side. It would take too long to hike around you and he would have to go through it.
“Josie, there was a house back there that we passed. I want you to stay there while we go for supplies”, Ghost commanded. “No I want to go with you”, she argued. “It's too dangerous and we don’t know what’s down there”, he countered. “Fine when should I expect you back?”, she questioned. “Before nightfall”, he responded. You assured her that you both would return as Ghost had said. She headed off back towards the house he had mentioned.
“Ya’ see any deadheads down there or does it seem clear”, you asked hopeful. “The streets have some wanderin’ aroun’, can't say for the streets I can’t see' ', he gravely replied. “Well no time like the present”, you said. He nodded and you both set off towards the city to get the supplies you had come so far for.

Simon "Ghost" Riley x Reader (The Living Kill Too) Chapter 1
Well guys watched a zombie movie the other day and was like yeah I'm gonna make a CoD zombie fic. So here y'all go. I don't own any of the characters from CoD.
Tumblr media
The growling outside the door was getting louder, and there was only one way this could end. Those things out there used to be people, friends and family. Now they were ruthless animals that would rip you apart if they got the chance. The old door would eventually give way and then you were truly fucked. You would either starve to death here or those things would tear you limb from limb. Not the best options in your opinion, but the only way out was that door.
The hours ticked by as you fought to stay awake, but that's when you saw a small window that you hadn’t noticed because of all the clutter. You rush to it, pulling things out of the way and peek outside. It’s clear so you push it open and step out onto the roof looking around noticing that the sun is starting to go down. That could be a death sentence due to the fact that in the dark it’s harder to spot the enemy.
The freshly changed ones could still run and somewhat climb although very awkwardly. That's what made the first few weeks so dangerous. Once they start to deteriorate that's when they become slow, but even then they could be silent killers. You wouldn’t know they were there until they were biting into your flesh. You needed to move but there were dead below you, but the houses were pretty close together. Taking a running leap and you were able to make it to the next house.
You continued this trend until one roof gave way and you fell. The disorientation took a minute to dissipate then you were up taking in your surroundings. All of this running was exhausting, but then the growl from your stomach reminded you why you were out here in the first place. You had been scavenging houses looking for food. No food had been found yet, but you were certain there had to be something in this town.
Climbing down from the attic you listened for any movement in the house. There was no movement that you could tell so straight to the kitchen. The cabinets were empty so you looked in the basement. There were two jars of pickles and some spam. The spam was not your favorite but you were so hungry it didn’t matter.
You tore open the spam and dug in eating one can then two leaving you with three more. You put them into your sack along with the two jars of pickles. You walked upstairs to peer out seeing no danger you walked out into the street. The woods were up ahead you could break into a couple more houses and see if there was any more food. The first one you broke into didn’t have anything worth taking.
The second house seemed to have been untouched making you wonder if there were dead already inside. You opened the door easily and slipped inside going straight for the kitchen. On the way to the kitchen you noticed a bag on the floor of what looked like an old living room. You opened it to find medical supplies and food. Jackpot you thought as you stood with the bag in hand until a hand clamped over your mouth and a knife against your throat.
“Drop it”, a gruff accented voice told you. You obeyed, dropping it to the floor waiting for the opportune moment. It presented itself when a coughing from upstairs made him slacken his grip. You headbutted the person although you hit something much harder than a face. The person groaned. When you turned around there stood a behemoth of a man with a hardshell skull mask that looked too real for your liking. What was even worse was that he had a handgun pointed at your head.
“Please I didn’t know this place was already spoken for I’ll just leave”, you state backing into a wall. “Nah love it’s not gonna work like that”, he growled. “Look I won’t take anything I’ll be on my way and you will never see my face again”, you huffed. “You’re not going anywhere. Now up the stairs”, he ordered.
You thought about your options, but considering the rifle slung across his back and the gear he had on he wasn’t someone you wanted to piss off. You started up the stairs as he followed you getting closer to the coughing you had heard earlier. He had you open the door and the first thing you noticed was the man laying on the bed. He had a mohawk, visibly bleeding, shaking and very pale.
The man in the mask grabbed your hand and put flex cuffs on you and made you sit in the corner. “How ya’ feelin’ Soap?”, he questioned. “Feel like I got hit by a truck. If I die Ghost ye can have my sniper rifle”, the one called Soap said. “You’re not gonna’ die not on my watch”, the one named Ghost replied. He checked the wound and let out a sigh. “It's bad init”, Soap groaned.
“The bullet didn’t exit, and it needs to come out as soon as possible, but we don’t have any instruments to dig it out”, Ghost sighed. “I can help with that”, you spoke up. Both men turned their gazes to you as you motioned to your bag. “I used to be a medic. I have some experience”, you negotiate. Both men seem to think it over when Soap nods. Ghost got up and unsheathed his knife pointing it at you.
“If you kill him or he dies I’ll gut ya understand?”, Ghost growled. You looked into his eyes noting that there was no lie in his words. Cleaning the wound was your first priority so you dug through your bag finding a bottle of bourbon you had been traveling with. “This is going to sting a lot”, you apologized. “It’s alright lass I had worse though can’t remember when”, he chuckled which turned into a groan as you poured the alcohol into his wound.
Once that was done you quickly pulled out some forceps. “Give me your belt”, you demanded the man Soap called Ghost. “What for ya’ can’t use it for a tourniquet”, he huffed. “To give him something to bite down on you twatwaffle. It’s going to hurt and those things out there in the streets are attracted to noise”, you huffed. Ghost seemed to think about it then sighed heavily and took his belt off handing it over.
“Soap was it. I want you to bite down on this and try your damndest not to attract the dead out there”, you told him. He nodded as you put the belt in his mouth and he clamped down on it. The bullet wasn’t very deep so finding it wasn’t that hard, but pulling it out was somewhat difficult. Each tug had Soap’s groans growing louder as the pain increased. When you looked, Ghost was by the window watching for any enemies. Several twists and pulls later the bullet popped free.
“There now I just have to stitch you up”, you smiled with triumph. “How long before he is stitched up and ready to move?”, Ghost questioned. “He shouldn’t be moving until the color comes back into his cheeks. He will be weak from blood loss and that is going to require him to rest”, you responded. “That won’t be an option if we have tangos incoming”, Ghost said. “How long do I have?”, you asked.
“Not long I’d say at least five minutes”, he murmured. “I can do it then I’ll help you move”, you said as you stitched. You finished in three minutes flat as Ghost had gotten all the gear they had come with. He also picked up your bag as you helped Soap to his feet and down the stairs to the back door of the house. The backyard led into the woods as Ghost told you which way to go when you heard it.
The dead were following and some sounded fresh as they were gaining on your small group. “They’re gonna catch us”, you huffed helping Soap along. Ghost looked back and he hated to admit it, but you were right. To you it looked like he was torn on leaving you to slow down the hoard or to stay with Soap. “You take him and go straight to the clearing”, he commanded. “No you…”, you began to argue.
“That was an order! get him to safety”, he shouted. Soap was too weary to say anything focusing on putting one foot in front of the other. You looked back once more to see him pull out a knife as he attracted them to him. In the darkness you and Soap stumbled your way through the forest until you hit a clearing with a sizable structure surrounded by concrete walls.
As you got closer lights blinded you and people were yelling at you both to raise your hands. “I need help!” you yelled. They continued to yell until two men were standing in front of you with their rifles pointed at you. You couldn’t make out features as one of the men came and took Soap then another man appeared with a black sack of sorts.
It happened so fast the man with the sack placed it over your head then hit the back of your knees taking you down. “What the hell? I didn't do anything! Get off me you son of a bitch!” you fought until a sharp pain to your temple made everything go black. There was only darkness, maybe you were dead and the sharp pain was a bullet going through your skull, but you don’t remember hearing a gun go off.
It wasn’t long before you woke up tied to a chair. There was nothing in the room other than you and the chair you were tied to. You sat there for what felt like hours, but was probably shorter. You had no idea what happened to Soap. Ghost had commanded you to keep him safe and for some reason you felt like a failure. They could be torturing him right now or worse. No you couldn’t think like that.
That’s when you knew what you had to do. After stopping your own mini panic attack you focused on which ties seemed loose. It took a while but you slipped your right hand free at the expense of your now raw and bleeding hand. Acting quickly you untied your other hand then your ankles. Slipping to the door you checked it, finding it locked of course. You were going to have to wait until that door opened to do what you had planned.
You paced the room for what felt like hours when your brain decided on the next course of action. Stalking over to the chair you noticed the wooden legs would be sturdy enough for what you needed. Breaking two of the legs off you felt them in your hands. You prayed this would work as you continued to pace. You waited and then the lock on the door sounded as you ran to get behind it.
“What the fuck?” was all the man said before you hit him in the back of the head with your makeshift baton. You looked into the hallway, but didn’t see anyone else. You didn’t know where you had to go now, but you had to get Soap and get out of there. You ran down several zig zagging hallways until you reached a door. When you opened it you were met with raging winds, lightning and pouring rain.
You didn’t know how, but you had to find Soap especially if Ghost did find you he would probably kill you for letting Soap get taken in the first place. You silently crept past some crates as the rain soaked you to the bone. You went into the first building you saw, then the second and the third. By the fourth building you were losing hope that you would find him, but something caught your eye.
A soft light and beeping like that of a heart monitor was what drew you to a small room. There on a bed was Soap hooked up to a heart monitor and IV’s. Wait what was going on here you could have swore these people were enemies. You quickly checked him over as you were to see he was stable and in good condition. While checking him over strong arms wrapped around you causing you to panic and thrash.
You went to scream as a hand clamped over your mouth. You bit down as they hissed a curse. Nothing worked as you kept trying, but managed to remember you still held onto the makeshift batons. Bringing the one in your right hand down onto the attacker's leg it stunned them enough to loosen their grip. Next was throwing your head back as a curse rang in your ear.
Pulling away you put yourself in front of Soap to sort of shield him. You came face to face with a black man wearing a ball cap. “You did me in when I came to check on ya’, but there is nowhere for you to go. The whole base is on alert. Lower your weapons”, he stated calmly. “Gaz is that you?”came a rough Scottish accent. You turned slightly to look at Soap, but keep an eye on this stranger he thought was Gaz.
What kind of name was Gaz anyhow? “Yeah it's me Soap”, the mystery man said. “Wait what the hell is going on here?” you questioned completely confused now. “We found you with Soap outside the perimeter. He was with another man named Ghost. What did ya do to him?” he grilled. “Nothing, we were being chased by the deadheads after I stitched Soap up. Ghost led them away and told me to keep heading in the direction we were headed. Then next thing I know I’m tied to a chair in a locked room for no reason”, you huff.
Gaz looked to Soap as if to confirm everything you had said, and when Soap nodded Gaz relaxed. “Lass it’s okay Gaz isn’t gonna hurt ye”, Soap reassured. Gaz stuck out a hand and Soap nodded to you. Hesitantly you took the outstretched hand and shook it. “Names Kyle, but you can call me Gaz”, he smiled. “Y/N)”, you nodded. “Guess I should let the Captain know you're awake and what the situation is”, Gaz stated.
As Gaz contacted his Captain you busied yourself looking at the stitched wound. As you looked, Soap asked you about Ghost, and you couldn’t look him in the eye as you told him that Ghost had split off to lead the deadheads away. Soap was talking about how Ghost would turn up sooner or later. You listened as you tended to Soap until the Captain arrived.
Once Captain Price, as you found out he was called, heard Soap’s recollection of events he decided that you were worth keeping around in case of injuries. “The doctor we have here said that if it weren’t for you Soap may not have made it back to us, but I’m amazed at your determination to escape being held captive and for coming to find Soap. A person you had only known for a couple of hours”, he said making small talk.
“I just wished the roles had been reversed for your missing man”, you told him. Price kept silent at that watching closely as you seemed to be having a war inside your head. “How long has it been since you had a good meal?” Price asked you. When you didn’t answer and hid your face from his prying eyes that answered his question. You refused to move from Soap’s side still hearing Ghost telling you to keep an eye on him, and keeping him safe.
Price admired the loyalty you were showing after you had told him what Ghost had told you to do. Gaz had sauntered off at Price’s request to get you some food. You couldn’t believe your eyes as Gaz brought back what seemed to be stew and bread. Price watched as you scarfed the food down, but had to leave when there was a call over his radio about a problem at one of the walls.
With a stomach full you tried to fight sleep by making sure that Soap’s IV and heart monitor were functioning. Checking his stitches several more times and making sure the bandages were okay helped, but your eyelids were getting heavy. Your wrist was still raw, but you didn’t want to bother anyone at this hour as it seemed late. Sleep was taking you as you thought about Ghost wondering if he was going to make it back until everything melted away into darkness.

CoD: Simon "Ghost" Riley x Reader - Found
I felt inspired to write this today after being fired from my job that I put my heart and soul into for nine years. I don’t know why but all of the sudden I was like I’m going to do this. So here is the finished version of what I saw in my head. I hope you all like it and my inbox is open for asks or requests right now. I’m stuck on CoD men at the moment. This one will be featuring König as well.

—----------------------------------------
It was late when Ghost woke up with a start as he came out of his nightmare. He had been having the same nightmare for the past week after (Y/N) had gone missing. It was a standard mission of retrieval, but when he had taken a round in the leg Soap had to help him walk. That was when she had split from them to draw the enemy away. When they made it to the evac site she didn’t arrive.
Ghost was adamant that they wait, but Soap had convinced him they should go and that she would be okay. He slowly got up and made his way to the kitchen going through the motions of making his night time tea. As the kettle was placed on the stove he could still see her eyes and the worry in them when she made the decision to draw the enemy away. How he had begged with his own eyes for her to stay.
It was the last time he would probably see her again, and that thought alone reminded him of his mother and brother's family’s murder. The thought of her dead and discarded made him suck in a breath as he felt the panic rising. (Y/N) would know what to do when he had a panic attack, but she wasn’t here. She wasn’t here because he wasn’t man enough to beg her to come with them, and that he couldn’t do this without her.
The screaming in his head was getting louder, and his chest felt like it was constricting. This attack was getting worse by the moment as he imagined her corpse coming towards him wailing at him. He jumped and fell backwards onto his ass scrambling for his knife. He held it in front of him shakily until his vision and hearing started coming back to him. “Simon drop the knife no one's gonna hurt ya’ here”, a voice he should know soothed.
The voice started getting more recognizable, but he was still trying to get his bearings. Then he recognized Price, the old man was holding up both hands when Ghost realized what was happening. He dropped the knife as if it had burned him and listened as Price talked him down. The wailing he thought was her was the kettle going off, and the panic attack had played with his mind.
After he had come back around Price had him sit at the table as he made the tea. Price was telling him that Kortac had a lead on (Y/N), and that König had volunteered to go retrieve her. That would make sense as (Y/N) and König had been good friends back before she joined 141. He nodded along as he listened to Price talk about how they coudn’t go in, and that's why Kortac had taken the job.
After Price had made sure he was going to be okay he went back to his room to try and get more sleep. He rolled over several times trying to get himself to sleep, but it wouldn’t happen. He got up and went out for a walk around the base noticing all the spots he and (Y/N) would go to be alone. His favorite spot was the sniper training tower where they had had sex the first time.
She had been angry about Soap getting the better of her on sniping and he volunteered himself to help her. They had been dancing around each other for a year when he finally made the first move which led to them shagging in that tower. He smiled remembering how she had moaned and called his real name. How she writhed under him and how afterwards she lay there in his arms until Soap had called up making mentions of how no more shots had been fired.
His smile quickly fell as he thought about how she may never come home. He kept walking, coming to the mess hall where he remembered her taking a ketchup packet hitting it just right to make it explode in Soap’s face and how they had all laughed. She was the light to his darkness and no matter what, she was always in a good mood until someone made a joke about how she should be home in the kitchen. He made his way back to his room praying Kortac could find her and bring her home to him.
***MEANWHILE IN SOME RANDOM ASS DESERT***
It was a hot afternoon and (Y/N) was trying to stay alive in a hostile environment. She had been captured right after Ghost and Soap had made their safe extract, but escaped and made it into the desert outside of the major city. She had to wait for nightfall before she could go into the city to steal some food or anything else she may need. To be honest she missed them, but there was no way she could get word to her team without possibly compromising them.
(Y/N) missed being on base, missed the others, but she truly missed Simon. She wanted to be at base sneaking into his room or him into hers to help each other sleep. She thought back on the first time she had sex with him in that sniper tower, and how he had her writhing and moaning. (Y/N) wanted to lay her head on his chest and relax because she knew that right now he would be having a hard time sleeping.
The sun slowly set and soon she would be making her move. She needed more water so her first stop would be the well at the edge of the city. Then she needed to get food and more bandages. (Y/N) knew where she could get the bandages, the food was going to be tricky. She started making her way towards the city. She checked with her binoculars to see the well only to find it guarded.
“Shit they got wise”, she murmured. Well she would have to sit and wait to see if they would leave or stay. It got dark and they stayed, making her decide to go back to her small encampment. It was far enough away to get a fire going. If she didn’t die of dehydration the night would certainly make her freeze to death. She sat at the encampment praying that she could go into the city the next night to scavenge.
The night passed by and (Y/N) tried to find shade in the small dilapidated stable. It was where she would sleep during the day. Her stomach kept waking her up as it cried for sustenance, but she didn’t have anything to satiate it. If and when she made it home she was going off base to her favorite pub to have a burger and good bourbon. If Gaz and Soap were here they would at least be cracking jokes and trying to cheer her up. She fell asleep again and didn’t wake until right before sunset. She got up and started the walk back towards the city.
The city seemed clear as far as She could tell. The men who had been guarding the well weren’t there now. (Y/N) watched for a couple more minutes just to be sure, and once sure she raced to the well. The water rippled when she bent down cupping her hands, and sucking down water. She drank until her stomach started to cramp. Once her thirst was quenched she darted from alley to alley until she reached a drug store.
(Y/N) knew that the back store room didn’t lock because she was the one who had broken it the first time she broke in. Under the cover of darkness she slipped in and scoured the shelves grabbing what she needed and filled her pack even taking some bottled waters. She made her way to the back pharmacy where the locked door was, but couldn’t get in. The fridge back there had to have some penicillin which she could use, but she would just have to go without.
She slipped back out into the alley and started taking note of where she needed to head next. There was a market a couple streets over that sold some raw meats. Some of the shops would be closing up so she had to be quick. She made her way to the markets, but they were all closed. They must have had them close up to keep her options limited.
There was nothing left, not even scraps that she could pick from. This was a failure, but she had to move on. Just as she started back the way she had come from a truck pulled up across the street and armed men climbed out. “Shit shit shit”, (Y/N) cursed. She was going to have to be careful making her way back to her camp unless she wanted to be captured again or worse.
She rounded the last corner when she saw a man looking in her direction. She ducked back into the alley, but he had already alerted his comrades to her position. When the man rounded the corner she ducked down and went for his legs making him fall over her. He dropped his rifle and they rolled in the alley trying to get to it. She could hear the other men approaching when she finally headbutted the man.
(Y/N) scooped up the rifle and fired a round into the man's skull. She encountered two more men that she quickly dispatched. There was another truck still running, and seeing her opportunity she took it. She hopped into the driver's side and tore out of the city as fast as she could. There was no way she could stay near the city now that they were certain she was there. She continued on for several miles hoping to come across a small village.
There was no such luck, and she was starting to get tired. When she looked at the truck's dash she saw that it was around five in the morning. She continued for a short amount of time when she saw a small house in the distance. The road had disappeared a long time ago and hopefully this small house was unoccupied. When she pulled up she shut the truck off, and grabbed the rifle.
After clearing the house it was in fact abandoned. It wasn’t all that dilapidated and the bed looked inviting, but her paranoid brain wouldn’t let her sleep there. She took the cushions on the old couch downstairs, and took them to the pantry that unfortunately was empty and placed them on the floor. She drank some water as she grabbed an old curtain covering a doorway and put it in the old pantry on top of the couch cushions then placed the backpack in the far back.
(Y/N) watched the sun rise as she checked on her wound. It needed new bandaging, and she wrapped it with the bandages she had taken. The wound seemed to be festering as it oozed some. Once it was wrapped she went back inside to crawl into the pantry closing the door behind her. She lay her head on the backpack and pulled the curtain over her like a blanket keeping the rifle beside her just in case. The hunger pains were growing, but there was nothing she could do as she slipped off into sleep.
Little did she know that a friend of hers was looking for her in the city she just fled. She woke a few hours later, shivering. She knew she had a fever since she was shivering and it was the hottest part of the day. She lifted her shirt and unwrapped the bandages to see the wound was red around the edges. It also had some discharge and she knew that it wasn’t a good sign. (Y/N) knew she was more likely to die of infection at this point.
She should have broken into the pharmacy for the penicillin after all. She pulled the makeshift blanket higher and relaxed back in her makeshift mattress. Sleep came easy as her fever got worse. Mumbling in her sleep as the fever continued to ravage her body. A noise and her eyes slowly and lazily fluttered open. It had to be a hallucination she definitely didn’t hear footsteps through the house.
The footsteps were going all around the house, but then they started towards her hiding place. She sat up with a lot of effort that had her breathing heavily, and grabbed the rifle. Lifting it made pain sear through her, and she had just pointed at the door where the footsteps stopped. She held the rifle up as she listened for the person to walk away, but her body gave out causing her to drop the rifle.
The clattering and her gasp from the pain had the stranger on the other side almost ripping the door off its hinges. She reached for the rifle again, but the stranger was quicker and stepped on it as she tried to pull it from the floor. Pain erupted in her body as the adrenaline left her and weakness hit her like a truck. She collapsed backward as her world spun and started to darken. She tried to keep the darkness at bay, but it consumed her.
(Y/N) started to come around as something cool touched her brow. When she opened her eyes she could see someone with their back turned toward her. One small lantern sat in the corner set on the dimmest setting. She had to get out of here not knowing what this person had planned for her, but when she went to move her strength was almost non-existent and let out a groan. The stranger whipped around and quickly shone a bright light into each eye.
(Y/N) tried to focus her eyes as the figure started talking in a language that sounded familiar, but quickly switched to English. Then a name hit her as her vision cleared some more and she could see the blue eyes and sniper hood. “ König?”, she rasped. “Easy Mause you need to rest”, he told her. “How… how did you find me?”, she coughed. “Your new friends asked me to come fetch you, but you are not fit for travel, and I don’t want to risk you dying on the trip to the extraction zone”, he relayed.
“We should move now” she told him. “No Mause you have had a high grade fever and you need to rest. Not to mention you have stopped breathing on me twice already to the point of needing resuscitation”, he argued. “I feel… fine”, she said, sitting up with a harsh wince. “No Mause I thi…”, König didn’t get to finish as she got up and walked out of the tent. He quickly followed as she walked towards the truck he had hidden under a desert camo tarp.
He watched as she got half way and swayed on her feet then down to her knees. He raced forward sliding to her as her upper body fell sideways. He cradled her against him as he looked her over. She was a ghostly pale color and shaking even though she was sweating. He quickly hauled her up and took her back into the tent where he checked the wound. He changed the bandages and made sure the wound was clean.
When she woke again this time she was alone in the tent, but she could hear König moving around outside. He seemed frantic with his movements so (Y/N) pulled herself up and slowly got out of the tent. “What are you doing?”, she questioned. “I should have listened to your advice last night, Mause. They have some small patrols looking for you”, he relayed as he packed the gear into the truck. She swayed slightly as her strength started waning.
König took notice right away quickly scooping her up and putting her in the passenger seat of the truck. “Stay here while I get the tent put away”, he ordered. She sat and watched the horizon when she noticed a cloud of dust. “König leave the tent there’s a patrol headed straight for us. He whipped up looking in the direction (Y/N) gestured to. He leapt into action running to the driver side while she started the engine. Flooring it caused the truck to lurch forward and (Y/N) groaned.
She watched as König radioed in for extraction and that there were enemies gaining. Confirmation came over the radio back to him as a Pave Low appeared on the horizon. Gunfire whizzed past their heads, but König pressed on. Sliding to a stop he pulled his gun out of the truck returning fire as he yelled at (Y/N) to head for the heli. She was almost there when she heard the grunt and impact of a body falling behind her.
When she turned König was on his back still firing back as he yelled again for her to go. “I’m not leaving you behind damnit!”, she yelled above the heli. She grabbed him and dragged him as pain lit up in her side. She was sweating from the pain as he continued returning fire. She heard the ramp lower and gunfire coming from the ramp. She could feel the blood starting to ooze from the torn stitches. Tunnel vision had started and she could feel her strength fading, but she was so close. She couldn’t do it. She screamed in frustration and pain as she felt the impact of the ground.
Somewhere she could hear a familiar voice as König was yelling at her to leave him. It all happened so fast she saw someone grab König as someone else provided cover fire. Then she felt weightless as her vision wavered. She lifted her head briefly and was met with another masked figure, but those eyes looked so familiar, but why she didn’t know.
The weightlessness left as she was placed on some blankets, but she could still feel the cold metal under her from the heli. She could hear more yelling as she tried to get herself to sit up. She reached out trying to find something to help her when a hand held hers. She felt the heli lurch upwards and away as her vision and head swam trying to make sense of everything.
Then she heard a voice shouting and she knew that voice it was Soap, but he shouldn’t be here then she recognized Nikolai yelling back to him. She wanted to confirm that it was in fact Soap and Nikolai she heard, but she blacked out as she felt her shirt being lifted and heard the fabric being cut. Those deep brown eyes she saw earlier while being carried into the helo followed her into her darkness.
Waking up was a complete bitch if (Y/N) was being honest the bright lights were killing her already pounding head. She took in her surroundings slowly noticing she was in a hospital bed and that there was a man in the hospital bed beside her. He was awake and looking at her with those blue eyes. “Hey Mause”, he whispered. Her eyes went wide as she realized König was maskless.
He was handsome with black hair and those piercing blue eyes. “König your hood”, she gasped. “It’s okay Mause I trust you and your team”, he chuckled. She was about to say something else when she realized something on her other side moved. Her head whipped around to spot Ghost in the chair beside her bed. His shoulders were moving and holy shit was he laughing. “Simon”, she breathed in a whisper.
“Hello love”, he said as he leaned in pulling up the bottom part of his mask. “Simon we have an audience and I haven’t brushed my teeth yet”, she mumbled. “It’s alright love”, he told her as he kissed her hard and rough. This went on for a few minutes until (Y/N) remembered König was trapped in here with them. Ghost went in for another kiss as his hand traveled down her side skipping over her wound. “Ghost! König is here”, she hissed.
“It’s fine love, besides I think he is enjoying the show isn’t that right König?”, Ghost asked. When she looked, König was trying to readjust himself discreetly. “Maybe I should let him join us so we can share you when you're healed hmmm”, Ghost hummed. (Y/N) whimpered, causing Ghost to smirk as he looked at König. “What do you think, König, should I let you share her with me once she is healed to thank you for saving her?”, Ghost questioned. (Y/N) looked over at him with a smirk as he responded, “Once you’re healed Mause then you're ours' '.
The nurses came in to check on both patients while Ghost watched from his chair. He had his woman back and the discussion that he and König had while she was still asleep was coming to fruition. He had known that König was attracted to her when they had worked together before, and (Y/N) had always made mention that she would trust him if they brought another person into the fold. He watched over (Y/N) and König as they both drifted in and out of sleep.

That's it, I hope you all liked the little twist at the end and maybe I’ll make a part 2 of this with the three of them. Until next time, I hope you all have a lovely day!

Simon “Ghost” Riley x (Chubby) Reader (Comfort)
Alright guys I’m back and ready to rock and roll. I have been MIA due to a death in the family and some other things going on in my life. This fic was requested by @igottabouncebounceinsideurbixh and I truly hope you like it. This is going to be a comfort fic, but if y’all want something raunchy y’all know to message me or ask. Without further hindrance of this fic I present to you Simon “Ghost” Riley being a caring loving man that we all know he is deep down inside. Warnings: PCOS symptoms, Talk of Panic Attack and Some Sexual Talk/Situations! I do not own Modern Warfare or any of the characters!
Tumblr media
The day was getting worse by the minute as you felt the pain in your lower abdomen. You had been stressing about your condition for years now after you had joined Task Force 141 to be their hacker when the need arose. Price had specifically asked for you since you were the daughter of his Captain back in the day. That's right you were Captain MacMillan’s one and only child, and when Price had asked you to join them as their hacker you couldn’t turn him down which your father beamed with pride when you had told him.
Now though you weren’t sure this was going to work. The basic training that you did barely helped you lose any weight, and you were sure that your condition wasn’t going to do you any favors either. The condition you suffer from is PCOS which stands for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Your periods were never regular. The cyst when they ruptured were so painful they had to prescribe pain meds, and the weight you wanted to lose just would not go away. No matter how hard you trained with Soap or Gaz to help lose it it just stayed.
Even when you changed your diet it still wouldn’t go away. You were nervously wringing your hands as you felt a panic attack coming on. Soap made you jump when he put his hand on your shoulder. “Lass, are ye’ okay? Yer white as a ghost”, he said. “I’m fine, just a little twinge in my side. Must be from the workout. “Well me and Gaz are going to run a couple miles if you want to hang back”, he motioned to Gaz as he stretched for the run. “I think I might go sit down for a minute”, you agreed.
With a wave and grin from Soap they set off leaving you to relax for a minute, but relaxing would have to wait. Pain in your abdomen almost sent you to the ground as you swayed. You started to walk back to the barracks when another wave of pain took you to your knees. You could hear someone calling to you, but with the amount of pain you couldn’t make out who it was. Another cramp sent you all the way to the ground curling into a ball. A figure blocked out the sun casting a shadow over you.
When you looked up Ghost was starting to kneel down. “Easy dove I’ve got you. Gonna’ take you to the infirmary a'ight”, he soothed. He scooped you up into his arms as if you weighed nothing and started walking to the infirmary. “Ghost”, you sobbed as another wave of pain hit. “I know love jus’ hang in there”, he hummed. As he walked he noticed all the men staring at you. “What the bloody ‘ell are you lot lookin’ at! Get back to mindin’ your own bloody business!”, he yelled out. Within moments all eyes averted and got back to doing what they were doing before.
You flinched as another wave of pain washed through your abdomen, and when Ghost’s eyes met yours he seemed to be in pain just like you. “Ghost what happened”, the female doctor asked. “She collapsed and seems to be in a lot of pain. It’s gotta be her condition”, Ghost answered. You let out another sob as the pain seemed to get worse. Within moments the Doctor had you in a private room and checked you over. “Well it seems that several cysts have ruptured, and I’m going to give you some pain medication to last you a couple days. I don’t want you doing any exercising or heavy lifting, or having sex until you feel better”, the doctor rattled off. Ghost sat in the chair beside you and nodded along with what the doctor was saying.
Doc prescribed you some pills, and made you take two of them while she was there to help get you some relief. “Now these pills make her dizzy and extremely tired. Keep an eye on her the next couple days”, she told Ghost knowing he would follow her instructions to the T. Once you had your discharge papers Ghost helped you to your room. He helped you sit down on the bed as the pain medication worked its way through your system.
“Love, I want you to change and rest like the doctor ordered”, he told you. “Pass me tha’ shirt ova there”, you slurred as the drugs started taking their toll. He let out a small laugh as he grabbed a shirt then realized it was one of his. “Ya stole one of my shirts?” Ghost asked bemused. “It was warm and smelled like you”, you giggled until pain made you stop. “I ‘ave a couple more things I need to get done today, but I’ll be in to check on ya throughout the rest a the day”, he smiled underneath his mask.
You stood to take off your clothes leaving you bare in front of him. You tried to hide your body as you pulled his shirt over your body. “Love you don’t need to be so self conscious I love you no matter what”, he admitted. “I’m not fit like you are. I’m fat”, you responded. “Enough of that love, besides I would be concerned if you were fit like me cuz then you would probably be a man”, he huffed a laugh. It got you to smile as he stepped up to you pulling you in close, lifting up his mask and kissed you.
He helped you lie back down and he pulled the covers over you as the drugs made you fall asleep. Kissing your temple he pushed some hair that had fallen behind your ear. You mumbled his name and he smiled, pulling his mask back down and heading out to finish his day. By the time he got done it was late, and he knew that you wouldn’t have been able to go to the mess to get you some food. He went in and quickly filled two plates with
Food then took off for your room.
When he opened the door you were sitting against the wall your bed was against hugging a pillow and crying. He locked the door then sat the food down walking over and pulling you to him. You buried your head into his neck sobbed as he held you and whispered soothingly to you. When you pulled away he watched you carefully. “I hate my body, it's ugly, fat and so broken”, you criticized. ‘
“No, don't ever say that love. Your body is fine the way it is. So what you have love handles. Means I have something to grab hold of when I rail you into the mattress or to hold you close to me. Or these thick thighs when they squeeze my head when I eat you out. Or these soft breasts that make the world's greatest pillows or something fun to play with. This is the body of a woman, not a girl. A strong woman who has a place on this team, and if anybody doubts that I’ll beat em to a bloody pulp”, he smiled as his hands wandered over your body.
“I just feel like no matter what I do I can't lose weight”, you sniffle. “It’s alright love. We are all made different”, he told you. “Yeah but you could have a skinny fit girl in your bed instead of this”, you gestured to your body. “But I chose you, not some slag that couldn’t do the things you do. I will always choose you love”, he caressed your face. “Then why have you never told me your real name or shown me your face?”, you questioned. “I thought ya woulda hacked that information already”, he said. “Never I respected you too much”, you smiled.
“My real name is Simon Riley”, he relayed. “Simon”, you breathed. His eyes snapped to yours when you said his name so softly. His eyes were hooded as he watched you think it over. “The name suits you”, you told him. He hesitated as he thought over revealing his face. “You don’t have to show me your face. Your name is enough”, you said, reaching up to caress his mask-covered face. He seemed to relax some as he stood up turning to grab the food. Maybe you had pushed a boundary by asking about showing his face.
“I brought you a plate you need to eat and I don’t want to hear it will make you fat. Your body needs carbs and protein to function”, he scolded before you could protest. He pulled his mask up to his nose and waited for you to start eating before he did. This is how it had been when he found out you were starving yourself when you first arrived. After that he would bring food to your room and make sure that you ate. That's how you had fallen for him not his physique although that was an added bonus, but his caring nature under the hardened exterior he built around himself.
Ghost or Simon was telling you about early missions with Soap when Graves had betrayed them. “He was shaky so I started tellin jokes to help ease him”, he relayed. “What kind of jokes”, you interrupted. He watched you for a moment before he sighed heavily. “Two goldfish are in a tank. One turns to the other and says you know how to drive this thing”, he said. You giggled and twitched when the pain started coming back. “You need another pill, love. Hold on I’ll get it”, he told you as he grabbed the bottle.
“You got any more jokes?”, you inquired. He shook his head but answered, “Yeah I do”. “Well let me hear 'em”, you beamed. “Why don’t blind guys skydive?”, he said. You shrugged when nothing came to mind. “It scares the shit outta their dogs”, he finished. You giggled as you told him how awful but cute they were. You took the pills without hesitation, and sat back as he continued telling you about his time in Las Almas. Once he was done he noticed how your eyes started drooping, and knew you needed to sleep.
“Will you stay with me tonight”, you yawned. He looked towards the door then shrugged, pulling his shirt off over his head and grabbing a pair of gray sweats he kept here for this reason. You watched as his muscles moved under his skin and how some of his scars caught the light. You groaned when he pulled his sweats up, giving you a full look at his ass. You have seen it a hundred times now, but it never fails to make you almost drool all over yourself. He chuckled when he heard you groan, “Doc said no sex until you feel better love”.
“I just think she is jealous and wants you…. All to herself”, you yawn as the meds start to kick in. He moves into bed beside you and you curl into his side. As he sat there he kept replaying the words in his head of you asking to see his face. “Love, remember when you asked to see my face?”, he proposed. “Mhm”, you mumbled. “You can remove my mask if you want to. I trust you”, he answered. This had you shooting up beside him as you just looked into his brown eyes. “ Are you sure I mean I don’t want to overstep a boundary? I don’t want you to feel pressured into it…”, you rambled until he took your hands into his own. The heartbeat in your ears was deafening as he slowly put your hands on the bottom of his mask. You just sat there staring wide eyed unsure of yourself. “It’s alright love I chose you for a reason. I trust you”, he declared.
You slowly lifted the mask in case he changed his mind until it slipped past his eyes and all the way off. You gasped and his eyes flickered open to see you smiling as you ran your fingers over his nose and cheekbone. “You have light brown hair”, you whispered as you combed his hair with your fingers. “Well Soap was definitely wrong”, you said caressing his face. “Wrong about what”, he said leaning into your touch. “That you were ugly under that mask. You're absolutely the most handsome man I have ever laid my eyes on”, you whispered as you leaned in to kiss him.
After a few moments you pulled away to place kisses all over his face and down his neck until he grabbed your arms pulling you to him. “What if I had an ugly mug under this mask?”, he asked in seriousness. “It wouldn’t have mattered. I chose you for a reason just as you chose me for a reason. Looks aren’t everything”, you admitted going in for another kiss. He pushed you away slowly even though he was enjoying it if the tent in his gray sweats were any indication. “It's time to rest, love. Doctors orders. We can do this another time when you're not in pain or high on painkillers”, he grinned as you pouted.
“Fine but as soon as I’m not on pain meds or in pain I want you just like this”, you said nuzzling into him. “Just like what”, he said. “With your mask off under me as I ride you”, you slurred as sleep started to set in. “Bloody ell woman, I need to sleep too ," he chuckled. “Love you” you yawned. “Love you to dove”, he whispered. Within moments you were asleep and his mind drifted to his purchase a couple of days ago. The velvet box nestled in his tac pants right now was all he could think about. He would ask you when you were off the painkillers. Maybe after you made good on your promise of riding him he would get down on his knee and ask you to choose him again as he had chosen you.

Simon "Ghost" Riley x Reader "Lost"
Alright in this one reader is going to lose someone, and is going to be having a hard time with it. I just thought of this one and had to type it out. I hope you all like it and I’m thinking about doing a König x Reader comfort fic at some point. I don’t know what it is about tall, beefy, slightly insane men, but I am here and living for it. Warnings: Loss of Loved One, Depression, Physical Abuse, Cursing, Mental Breakdown, Death, Blood, Gore and Near Death Experience.
Tumblr media
Everything was going up in flames as explosions rocked the small compound. Running into the flames (Y/N) screamed and choked on thick black smoke. Her brother was still in here somewhere and she had to find him. It felt like it took forever to find him, but she did and noticed the blood that pooled under him. “(B/N) come on we gotta go”, she felt like she had cottonmouth as she inhaled more smoke. The radio she wore was filled with frantic voices from her team.
She mentally cursed herself as she tried to lift him onto her shoulders. She was able to get him partially draped over her back as she stumbled towards an exit. “(Y/N) hurry up lass the buildings’ gonna go!” Soap screamed through her radio. She had just made it out of a doorway and part of the way up the small hill when the building exploded. Falling face first onto the ground her brother let out a cry as he hit and rolled.
Looking up she could see a figure coming into view and at first was relieved thinking it was her team, but as they got closer she saw the wrong flag patch. She frantically looked for her weapon before another enemy came around to her other side. They were speaking in a foreign language, but she understood they were going to kill her and her brother. Before she could retrieve her weapon she received a sharp kick to her ribs. It all happened so fast as the man crawled over her and wrapped his hands around her throat.
She fought and kicked at her attacker, but it made no difference. A gunshot close by rang loud, but she couldn’t see who had fired it. Her vision started to go black as she tried to claw at her attacker's face, but couldn’t gouge his eyes because of the goggles he wore. Just as darkness was about to take her two shots rang out, and a heavy weight landed on her. “Lass are ya alright”, Soaps voice called.
She pushed the dead body on top of her rolling him off. That's when she noticed there had been three shots and rolled onto her stomach coughing and sucking in air. Looking to where her brother was he was still; too still and she crawled as quickly as she could to him. When she looked at him she noticed the bullet wound through his neck, and his glassy eyes staring up at nothing; he was gone. “(Y/N) are you… Steamin’ bloody Jesus no”, Soap cursed when he saw you over your brother.
You were screaming as best you could and sobbing as you pulled him into your lap. Soap stood frozen until someone came jogging up behind him. “Soap, get her up, we need to move now. They are sending reinforcements and we won’t be able to hold em’ I’ve called for exfil”, Price yelled. “Lass come on we have to go” Soap called to her. “I ca…can’t leave him “, she sobbed. “Come on I’ll help you get him to the exfil”, Soap assured as she tried to pull herself together.
Price shoved his pistol into her hands as Soap helped bring her brother to the exfil. Once on the chopper she crumpled with her brother's body in her arms. Price put his hand on her shoulder and she shrugged it off, “DON’T TOUCH ME!”, she screamed. “He shouldn’t have even been here”, she wailed. Price backed off giving her space knowing that she needed time to grieve. It wasn’t long before they landed at base, and Soap cautiously approached her. “Lass we’re here it’s time to let go”, he soothed.
She didn’t fight as some soldiers placed her brother’s lifeless body on a stretcher, and covered it to take it. When she didn’t move Price nodded to Soap and he tried to help her up. Soap was worried as he took her to her room and sat her down. “You should probably take a shower. I’ll go to the mess and bring you a tray while you do”, he told her as he left. Everything felt numb and it took her a moment to get up and grab her towel. The showers were empty as she undressed and turned one on cold.
She was trying to think of other things as she cleaned herself until she collapsed into a sobbing mess on the tiled shower floor. She sat with her knees curled up to her chest and arms wrapped around her shins under the spray of the water. She didn’t know how long she had been in there when the door to the showers burst open. Footsteps sounded down the aisle and right to her shower, but she could care less.
The curtain drew back and revealed Ghost, and what he saw broke him. (Y/N) curled up as cold water poured over her. “Love, I'm gonna come in and turn the water off, yeah”, he told her. He was slow with his movements after Price had explained how easily she had snapped in the chopper. She didn’t even flinch as he turned the water off then grabbed her towel on the hook outside of the shower. “Come on, stand up for me”, he coaxed. He helped her up and wrapped her into her towel as she continued to shiver.
“I shouldn’t have brought him on that mission”, (Y/N) whispered. “You didn’t know what was going to happen. It’s not your fault”, he told her. She dried herself off as she realized she hadn’t brought a pair of clothes to change into. “I’ll go get you some clothes. Stay here”, he reassured. She watched as he left, and she was alone again with her mind where she kept replaying everything that happened.
When Ghost came back she was staring absently at the floor. “Love, I brought you a pair of panties, sweats and my shirt and jumper”, he said, holding out the items. She absentmindedly took them and started to dry off and pull them on. Once they were on he helped lead her back to his room. She didn’t even notice as he sat her down and started to brush her hair. He styled it the way she normally would.
“Thank you Simon”, she whispered. “You’re welcome (Y/N)”, he responded. He pulled her down onto the bed soothing her until she fell asleep. She was plagued with nightmares, but Simon was there each time to hold her until she stopped crying and drifted back to sleep. The nightmares were going to follow her throughout her life and Simon knew that better than anyone, but he would be damned if he abandoned her when she needed him most.
The next couple of days the rest of the team started to worry when she wouldn’t eat. Soap tried to cheer her up, but nothing seemed to work. Price had given her a couple days from training, but that didn’t stop her as she went about a normal days training except the exhaustion from not eating. It wasn’t until she quite literally took a hit from Gaz while sparring that sent her to the mat unconscious.
After she woke in the infirmary she was notified that her parents had decided on the date for the funeral. When they arrived she stayed at the back with Ghost and the team. He held her hand when she went up to the casket and placed a small medal on it. Once the ceremony was finished and most of friends and family had departed she was approached by her parents. “Mom I’m sorry I should have…”, she was cut short when her mother slapped her so hard it sent her stumbling back.
“You should have what..taken the bullet yourself! You would be right you should have died not (B/N). My poor baby boy is gone because of you and that godforsaken task force!”, her mother wailed. “Mom I’m sorr…”, she tried. “No she isn’t your mother anymore and I’m no longer your father. He was your little brother. You let this happen and I think I speak for both of us when I say you no longer have a family”, he berated.
Ghost had heard enough and he could see the damage it was doing. He stepped in between you and your parents. “So if she had died it would have been fine”, Ghost growled out. “I can’t believe you call yourself parents”, he spat. He ushered (Y/N) away to the vehicle the task force was waiting in. It worried him as (Y/N) was silent and didn’t utter a single word the whole ride back. It was two weeks before she spoke again.
The next mission was assigned, and it was a quick in and out operation to take out a target. (Y/N) was with Ghost and Soap while Gaz was with Price watching from the ridge with their sniper rifles. Gaz and Price took out external enemies while the other three took out internal enemies. Once they were positive the target had nowhere left to run they blew the door with a charge. Several men were in the room as bullets started flying, and Soap was pinned down.
(Y/N) saw one of the men about to flank Soap, but the only way to save him was to run into the hail of gunfire. She saw flashes of her brother and then Soap with lifeless eyes and she made her decision. She ran for it as Ghost yelled at her to stop, but she was already going. She managed to dodge gunfire and take out Soap’s would-be attacker. The room took some time, but they took out each enemy. “That was incredibly stupid”, Ghost scolded. “He was going to be flanked. Besides we got the bastard”, she huffed.
“We are going to talk about this later”, Ghost hissed as he turned to check the target. “Lass you alright”, Soap asked. Ghost turned just in time to see her crumple to the floor. Soap was closer as he started checking her. Ghost ran to her side trying to help Soap as their hands came away with blood. “Soap radio Gaz and Price tell them we need immediate air evac”, Ghost relayed as (Y/N) grabbed his arm. “Gaz, Price this is Soap we have wounded we need evac ASAP! Target is deceased!”,Soap radioed. “Who’s down?!”, Gaz radioed back. “It’s (Y/N)”, Soap relayed.
Price nodded at Gaz as they started making their way down to meet them. Ghost was trying to assess the damage as he carefully, but quickly removed her vest to find that the bullets that hit her were armor piercing rounds. Two of them had exit wounds, but the one in her shoulder didn’t. “Easy just breathe”, Ghost tried to calm her. Her grip on his arm tightened as she tried to breathe. It worried him when her grip on his arm relaxed.
“(Y/N) talk to me love”, Ghost said. “I’m cold”, she rasped. “I know love I know we’re gonna’ get you outta here. Just stay with me”, he reassured. When Price and Gaz got there Ghost was wrapping her wounds as Soap helped support her upper body. Once they were ready Ghost hoisted her up, made their way to the evac. Medics took over in the helicopter as they did all they could. Ghost watched as they made the decision that nothing more could be done until they reached a hospital.
(Y/N) reached out for Ghost and he quickly took her hand in both hands. She was so cold to the touch and was so pale it frightened him to no end. “Simon I’m scared”, she whispered as her head pulled to one side. Ghost noticed she wasn’t breathing and yelled for the medics. They worked on her until they landed and they carted her off. The team had to debrief, and once Laswell was informed and sated Ghost ran to the infirmary.
When he arrived she was still in surgery, and they didn’t tell him much. He waited for four hours and at one point the rest of the team came to sit with him. “It was my fault if I hadn’t gotten pinned she would have been fine”, Soap lamented. “She saved your life, don't be too hard on yourself you would have done the same for her”, Price calmly stated. It didn’t make Soap feel any better and Ghost could tell.
At some point he must have nodded off because he was awakened by Price. (Y/N) was out of surgery, awake and ready to see the team. When he walked in and saw all the machines and how tired she looked his heart cracked some more. Weeks were spent coming to the infirmary as often as he could to spend time with her. When she was discharged he took her straight to a safehouse.
“Simon, are you angry with me?”, she asked. “No love, I'm not mad at you. I’m relieved that you’re alive”, he told her. Once they were settled he went and changed into something more comfortable, also removing his mask, and then had to help her dress into something comfortable because of her shoulder. They ate then turned on a movie that neither were really paying attention to. “You know my parents were right I should have died not my brother”, (Y/N) sighed.
When she looked up Simon was staring at her and were those unshed tears. “Never say that love. I love you and you are the only thing left in life that makes it worthwhile. I wouldn’t want to live without you”, Simon confessed. With that said he cupped her face and kissed her. Tears spilled then from her eyes, and once Simon pulled away he wiped her tears. “Your parents were wrong and I believe your brother would agree”, he told her.
“You don’t know that the dead can’t talk”, she sniffled. “I know that they don’t feel anymore pain, and they wouldn’t want their death to hold us back”, Simon whispered into the crown of her head. She snuggled closer as he held her tightly as she seemed to chew on his words. “You should know that your brother gave me his blessing about us being together before he passed. He saw how happy you were and he made me promise to take care of you if anything happened to him”, he voiced.
“Sounds like him, and he’s right, I love you. When I thought I was dying I was more scared of leaving you alone than actually dying”, she confided. At that Simon did let his tears spill over, and when she felt the tears hit her scalp she pulled back to kiss him. “We’re both broken and slightly out of our minds”, (Y/N) mumbled as she kissed him some more. They hadn’t realized that the movie was over until Simon saw the credits flashing on screen. “Let's get to bed, yeah”, Simon said.
(Y/N) nodded and before she could get up Simon was picking her up mindful of her shoulder. He gently lay her onto the bed, and joined her on his side of the bed. She quickly snuggled closer to him. “Thank you Simon”, she yawned. “For what love?”, he questioned. “For not giving up on me”, she replied. “Never”, he replied. He was for sure she was asleep and was about to drift off to sleep when (Y/N) spoke. “I love you Simon”, she whispered as her breathing evened out. “Love you too (Y/N)”, Simon replied as he too fell asleep.
Over the next couple of weeks Simon was there for her everytime she had a nightmare, cried or just broke down completely. He was going to keep his promise he had made to her brother even if it killed him. Price had even made mention that even though her parents disowned her she had a family there with the 141. Gaz and Soap had seconded that with hugs, and words of encouragement. They all knew it was going to take time for her to heal, but they would always be there for her, especially Simon “Ghost” Riley.

Simon "Ghost" Riley x Chubby Reader (Fluff)
Alright guys I am Ghost fan and yes man has a fucked up past, but as Soap said “That’s why I love the Ghost”. I had this requested by an anon so here we are. This will be a fluff/comfort fic since it wasn’t stated in the request. Hope you all like it. I do not own CoD: MW 2. This will be based on the newest game not the OG, but I would be willing to do an OG Ghost one as well. Warning: Some Adult situations, Nudity, Sexual Comments and Body Worship.
Tumblr media
It had been a long day as you angrily typed up reports on the 141’s recent mission. It didn’t help that you could hear one of the men making comments about your weight. It had bugged you when people couldn’t understand how you got your position on the elite base. He rambled on as you started to think that he may be right. You were “thick” as Soap would tell you when he was trying to help cheer you up. Then again the words still stung, and the only reason you were here was because of General Shepherd.
The man across the way was starting to irritate you as you tried not to eavesdrop. It was so hard not to listen to his rude comments about your size. It was a few moments more before you finally snapped. You shut your laptop and quickly left your office space. You were done and you had started to cry as you walked down the hall away from the mean comments. Not paying attention you ran into something solid and looked up to meet Ghost’s mask, and then his eyes.
He tilted his head at you then lifted his hand to your cheek. He pulled his hand away inspecting the tear he just wiped away. “What happened?”, he questioned. “It’s nothing”, you replied. “It wasn’t nothing if you're crying love, what happened”, he said more like a demand. “Not here please I just don’t want to be here”, you hiccuped. Ghost looked past you to see what had upset you and automatically understood. He knew from your many rants about a coworker that he was the reason, and the look of absolute terror when he made eye contact with said man was priceless.
The man quickly went back to his desk trying to break Ghost’s gaze on him. If you weren’t here Ghost would have had more than words for him, but you were here and you were his top priority. He put his hand on your lower back and took you to his room quickly. He opened the door for you and you sat down on his bed as the tears started all over again. He sat beside you and pulled you into his lap as you gripped his tactical vest. “Shh love it’s okay. Just breathe. In slowly and out slowly”, he soothed.
His hand rubbed your back as you finally calmed down enough to relax. “You wanna talk about it love?” he asked. “It’s nothing I’m just having a bad day”, you tried to dissuade him. He just sat there silently and you were trying not to break under his silence. He always did this where he would wait for you to just tell him without having to push you. He always knew how to read you and you couldn’t. You always blamed the mask, but that wasn’t true because after being together for almost a year you couldn’t read him when his mask was off.
“It was the coworker I told you about”, you sniffled. He stiffened and his grip tightened on you as he tried to control his anger. “What did he do?”, he all but growled. “He was making comments about me being chubby, and commenting that I did lewd acts to get here”, you sobbed. “Simon he isn’t wrong about me being chubby”, you sob. “He is dead wrong. (Y/N) I love every inch of you even if there are stretch marks”, he relays. Next you feel his lips on yours as he praises your body. He runs his hands over your thighs as he comments that they are strong and how he loves to hold them when he eats you out or how you try to squeeze his head as he brings you to orgasm.
He rubs your stomach as he tells you how much he loves the softness there, and how he loves to lay his head on it as you card your fingers through his hair. He grips a breast as he tells you how sexy you are and that nothing is going to change his mind. You start to giggle as he starts kissing all over your face and down your neck to your chest. You swat lazily at him as he starts to leave some hickies only stopping when you put your hands on each cheek bringing him back to your lips.
“I love you”, you confess as if he didn’t already know. He hums and asks if you want to cuddle and sleep. You tell him you would love to and he gets up to get you his favorite hoodie (or jumper as he calls it) for you to change into and a pair of sweats you keep in his room. He watches you change and he has to will himself not to get hard because right now you need comfort and reassurance. Once you change and turn around you can see the look in his eyes as you giggle.
“What’s so funny darling?” he asks. “I know that look. The look of a man that is hungry for more than just cuddling. We can if you want to do more”, you shrug. “Maybe later dove. Right now you need a nice warm cuddle puddle as Soap calls them”, he smirks. You outright laugh at that as you make your way back to his bed and he pulls you to him. He calmly talks to you about his day and it isn’t long before you're asleep on his chest.
The next morning when you wake up Simon is gone as he is always awake and gone before you get up. You make your way to your room to change into your work clothes and start the dreaded walk to the offices. When you get to your desk there is a rose and a small note from Simon telling you to enjoy the silence today. You look around and realize everyone is there except for one. The co-worker that had been bothering you was nowhere to be seen.
When he didn’t show up at all you were sure that Simon had killed him until he came in a day later. He was automatically chewed out and he complained that he couldn’t help it, that his car was totaled because someone had put sugar into the gas tank. He got no sympathy from his superior and was told he was taking the next couple of mission reports all by himself. You couldn’t help but smile at his misery.
When you got done you went straight to Simon’s room to wait for him. When he entered you were waiting for him under his covers. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about a car getting sugar poured in its gas tank would you?”, you grilled. “I have no idea what you’re talking about dove”, he told you as he stripped down and put on a pair of gray sweats. He slid into the bed with you and when he rolled onto his side to kiss you his hand touched warm flesh.
His hand traveled your body and he looked into your eyes when he realized you were naked. “Well it’s too bad you don’t know anything about sugar in a gas tank because I think that person deserves a reward”, you smirked as he rolled over top of you keeping his weight off and taking you into a blissful kiss. “Well I may know a little about a gas tank and sugar”, he smirked as he captured your lips again.

Alright guys I hope you like this one. I have only been getting about four hours of sleep for the past month and working so I’m sorry if this sucks. Just remember y'all are beautiful just the way y'all are!

Bad Batch/Rebels Hunter x Pregnant Reader
Alright guys I am able to catch up a little bit and this has been on the back burner. Training horses, Running a Farm, Exercising and working five days a week at an Animal Clinic is too much. Hope you all enjoy this and I won’t lie I teared up with this one. I do not own Star Wars or any of the characters.
Tumblr media
When you wake up there is a young blonde woman in her late teens standing there. She introduces herself as Omega and that she had been looking for you for years. Omega explains how you were frozen in cryo before Order 66, and that she is going to take you to a planet where you will be safe. She looks familiar to you, but you can’t place it. She asks who the father gesturing to your round stomach and you tell her about Hunter and how he didn’t even get to know you were pregnant.
“So are you going to look for him?”, she questions. “I wouldn’t even know where to look besides if what you say is true he could be…”, you trail off as tears threaten to spill. No you won’t think of what you were about to say. It was better believing if he did go out it wasn’t working for the Empire. “Well I have a place for you to stay if you trust me enough”, she smiled. “I trust you. Let's get going”, you reply. The flight is a long one and Omega asks you to tell her stories about how you had met Hunter and the Bad Batch.
“Well I was working as a healer traveling from planet to planet, and I was asked by General Kenobi to help on some planet I forget the name of. Anyway late at night they bring Wrecker in and he is this big guy, but a giant softie. He needed medical attention right away, but no one was able to help so I took it upon myself to help him. When I got over to the cot they had him on he was thrashing. It took Crosshair, Tech, Hunter and Echo to help hold him down. When I told them to let him up they all looked at me as if I were crazy”, you smiled at the memory.
“So what happened next?”, Omega questioned childlike. “They eventually let him up and I used the force to help calm him. Hunter was the most astonished at how I was able to diffuse the situation and heal his brother. It was after healing his brother that I got dizzy and collapsed. I had been healing all day and my body couldn’t handle it anymore. Hunter was the one who carried me to General Kenobi, and helped get proper medical attention. Then I was stationed with the Bad Batch for the rest of the war after that because I was able to get along with them so well”, you recalled.
“So how did you get separated? How did you find out you were pregnant? Why didn’t you tell Hunter you were pregnant?”, Omega asked all in one breath. “I was captured by the seppies and placed in one of their many prisons. When I could feel the life force inside me I knew what would happen to our baby, and I made a promise that I wouldn’t let that happen. I escaped and stayed on the run then I crashed on the planet you found me on and I put myself in cryo hoping someone would eventually find us. I did search for the whereabouts of Hunter and the others, but things were happening way too fast, and when you have a hard time catching your breath after only walking a couple of yards it's hard to gauge what you're capable of”, you told her.
She seemed to understand and went to make some food. You knew it was dangerous, but you wondered if Hunter was still alive. If you could sense him with the force. Closing your eyes you focused on what you remembered his life force feeling like. Not finding it you tried harder until you felt a small life force that felt like his. You latched onto it trying to boost it somehow, but just as you were making out the life form and their surroundings, sharp kicks broke your concentration.
Your hand automatically going to your round belly, and trying to breathe. “Hey are you alright?”, Omega asked worriedly. “Yeah it’s been a while since they have kicked that hard”, you huffed. “They?”, Omega brightened. “Yes I’m carrying twins. A boy and a girl”, you smile. “How do you know? If you don’t mind me asking”, she sheepishly grinned. “The way their life force flows tells me”, you smile. “Do you want to feel them kicking?”, you asked. She nodded her head and you took her hands and held them to your belly.
As soon as her hands touched you the babies started to kick wildly as if they sensed something you didn’t. “Wow, does it hurt?”, she queried. “Sometimes if they have good aim which seems to be all the time. They must get that from their father he had deadly accuracy with a blaster or vibroblade”, you laughed. Omega gave you some food and you were able to eat in peace. It wasn’t long before the planet proximity alert went off in the ship and you waited for Omega to land the ship.
Once she landed you both made your exit and there were five quaint little houses. One of the doors to one of the houses opened and out stepped a behemoth of a man. One you recognized by the force right away. “WRECKER!’ you yelled as he made his way to you. He picked you up hugging you just like old times then set you back down gently. He was older than you remembered, but he still looked fit. “Wait till the others get a look at you”, Wrecker boomed.
“The others? You mean… You mean that the others are here. What about Hunter is he here?” you frantically questioned. “Well yeah of course he is here. Even Crosshair came with us after we removed his chip”, he relayed. You started to hyperventilate as it all came to you that they were all okay and that they made it through Order 66. You swayed and your world started to go black as you felt Wrecker catch you. You could faintly hear other voices that you recognized.
You were carried to a bed where you were placed as you heard a commotion. “She will be fine, she just needs a moment. She is obviously distressed and with everything that's happened and her condition this is a normal reaction”, someone said. Tech your brain answered and when you reached out with the force you could sense Tech, Echo, Wrecker and Crosshair, but not Hunter where was Hunter your brain screamed. You felt a sense of calm from the twins and it helped you to relax. When you opened your eyes sure enough Tech, Echo, Wrecker and Crosshair stood before you.
They all had aged Tech with some gray tufts at the small portion of his forehead. Echo with more wrinkles than you remembered, Crosshair had more crinkles around his eyes, Wrecker did as well. “(Y/N) can you hear me?”, Tech asked. “Yeah Tech I can hear you”, you said tearing up and this time they did fall. Once they knew you were okay you told them about how Omega had found you and they told you of what happened after Order 66. That Omega was their sister and a clone herself which now made sense of why she felt familiar to you.
They informed you that Hunter was okay, and that he would be back later as he had to tend to some fences that went down. Farmers of all things you expected them to do after farming was not one of them. They took you to Hunters home and showed you around and you cried again when you saw all of the mementos that he had of you. “He never stopped looking for you until we had to go into hiding and even then he hoped you would find us”, Echo told you.
They left you to get settled and wait for Hunter to return. It was getting late, but you decided that making dinner would be a great way to welcome Hunter home. Gathering ingredients you started cooking. Omega came in to help you since she stayed with Hunter because they weren’t finished with her house yet. You and Omega were making final meal preps when you felt a presence in the room behind you. You spun around to be met with Hunter's wide eyes on you.
He still had his signature hair and bandana although he had some gray streaks starting at his temples, but otherwise still handsome as ever. “Hunter”, you whispered, but his hearing picked it up. He was across the room in seconds enveloping you in an almost bone crushing hug. “(Y/N) I thought I had lost you”, he sobbed. “I thought I had lost you”, you cried right along beside him. You gasped as the babies kicked wildly again this time harder than the other times.
Hunter pulled back as you gripped his shoulder and your free hand went to your stomach. That's when he realized how round you were. “(Y/N) you're pregnant”, he whispered. “Yeah tell me something I don’t know”, you laughed. “Who’s?”he asked, looking defeated. “They are yours”, you responded. “Mine but how? You should have had them a long time ago”, he stated, confused. Omega butted in explaining how you were in a cryo chamber when she found you and you explained how you found out you were pregnant after being captured.
Once all the evidence was before him he picked you up and spun you around. He stopped to kiss you. You giggled as the babies kicked again. “They know who you are, they are kicking again”, you smiled, placing his hands on your belly. His face lit up when he felt them kicking then his brows furrowed. “You said they”, he stated. “Yes there are two in there”, you explained. “Two? Twins? You're pregnant with twins?”, he grinned. “Yes a boy and a girl”, you beamed.
He sniffled as he fell to his knees kissing your stomach, “You don’t know how much I missed your mother and now she gifts me with you two”, he mumbles between tears. The babies kick again and he places his head on your belly smiling when he can hear your heartbeat and the twins heartbeats. “They are strong”, he hums. “Just like their father”, you tell him. That night Hunter doesn’t leave your side and dotes on you hand and foot.
A couple months later you're awakened by awful cramps and that's when you realize you have gone into labor. Hunter was up as soon as he could smell your fear and your heart rate increase. You both had prepared for this and before long Omega and the others were waiting outside the house. It was long before the first cries filled the house and Hunter was telling you it was the girl placing her on your chest. Her brother followed minutes behind his sister.
“We never did decide on names?”, Hunter said while watching them feed and beaming with pride. “I think we should name the boy (B/N)”, you smiled. “I like that name, for his sister, how about (G/N)”, Hunter said. You both agreed on the names and once they had their fill and you were decent Hunter let the others come in to greet the new additions. Omega was thrilled to hold them and so were the others. Crosshair refused to admit he cried while holding the twins for the first time even though Wrecker pointed out the tears still on his face.
A couple nights down the road you were woken up by Hunter singing and rocking them both back to sleep. You watched and smiled when his gaze met yours. Once the twins were asleep he made his way back into bed pulling you into his side. Kissing the top of your head and whispering how he couldn’t be happier than he was to have you back and then you gifting him with the greatest treasure of the galaxy far far away.

Headcanon How the Null ARC’s, Omega & Delta squad react to you asking them to meet your family/how they act around your family.
I know this was only supposed to be Omega and Delta squad, but it hurts me not to write the Null ARCS (BECAUSE THEY NEED LOVE TOO T-T). I took this as a female s/o so there will be mentions of wanting children and pregnancy.
Ordo - This poor man freezes on the spot when you ask him to meet your family. He never imagined that he would be put in this position. He is nervous as hell, but doesn’t let it show. Skirata can’t help but laugh as his son is a battle hardened soldier and can take on any battle situation, but is nervous about meeting your family. When you take him to meet your family it takes him a little bit for him to relax. Once he is sure they aren’t seppie spies he gets along well with everyone.
Mereel - When you ask him to meet your family he gets this sly look on his face. When you ask him why he looks so smug he replies with how your family will adore him and his charming looks. Now your nervous about HIM meeting your parents. When he does meet your family all that cocky confidence shows, and at first your parents are warry, but they quickly warm up to him when they realize how much he loves you. All of the other family members start saying how you would make beautiful babies much to your embarrassment, but Mereel just hugs you close and agrees (cheeky bastard).
Jaing - When you ask him to meet your family he agrees wholeheartedly. When he meets your family they automatically adore him. He is polite, always asking if there is anything he can help with, and his affection toward you is well received. They know he is a clone and dangerous as his line of work is he assures them as long as he breathes that no harm will come to you. After meeting your family he realizes that after all of this is done he wants to start a family with you and tells you as soon as you all get back to your humble abode.
Kom’rk - When you ask him to meet your family he just nods, and it makes you nervous. He doesn’t ask any questions about your family other than there names. When he does meet them he introduces himself with a dashing smile and greets each family member by name, and you were so flabbergasted that he knew everyone that when he turned around he had to shut your mouth with a finger underneath your chin. He whispers to you that he had looked them up and memorized everyone. He doesn’t mention that he was also checking to see if they had any ties to the separatists. Your family and him click like missing puzzle pieces and they welcome him with open arms.
Prudii - Just like his brother Kom’rk he does his research when you ask him to meet your family. He knows everyone's faces and names much to your astonishment. He also helps your mother in preparing dinner which also blows your mind. He laughs when you grumble that he never cooks for you or helps you and his sweet reply of you never ask me too makes you melt. Your father is impressed by his skills with anything electronic and before too long ropes him into helping with some holoscreens. Every family member tells you to bring him around more often which in Prudii’s mind is an achievement.
A’den - When you ask him to meet your family he agrees to it even though you can sense his hesitance. Then before he meets your family he tells you that he doesn’t want to hurt them by taking you away if anything were to happen. You assured him that your family would understand and that you love him, and they wouldn’t hold it against him if you both had to disappear. When he meets your family he can’t believe how much they accept him. When you let slip about one day you and A’den might have to disappear much to your mothers distress your family understands. A’den assures them he would die before he lets anything happen to you, and that is when your family gives him full permission to marry you when you decide to.
Niner -  When you ask him to meet your family he says no. When you get upset with him he tries to make you see reason that he is a clone and that your family wouldn’t approve. After you start crying he decides to give it a chance (when you cry this man can’t handle it). When he meets your family he can’t understand how they pretty much accept him right away. When you bring up that he is a clone and his worry your family seems heartbroken that he would think they wouldn’t accept him. Your mother and father chiming in that it wouldn’t matter if he were a gungan that he is a living being that loves you and that is all that matters.
Fi - He is so excited when you ask him to meet your family that he asks you to show him pictures and tell him who was who. When he meets your family you mother greets him with a hug that he wholeheartedly returns, and shakes your fathers hand. He fits right in and several of your family members tell you that you should marry him because of how well he fits in, and how much he is in love with you. Fi tells your family how he does want to get married and how he wants children which makes your family extremely happy. As much as you love him he manages to embarrass you multiple times, but by the end your family is laughing as you both leave. (Two days later you and him exchange the Mandalorian Vows and inform your family who couldn’t be happier)
Darman - He just stares at you for moment processing your question then slowly nodding. You spend an entire day assuring him that they will accept him and to just be relaxed. When he meets your family he is so tense that your sure he has to be in pain. Its not until your grandmother cracks a joke that he relaxes and laughs. Your parents get to know him better as he relaxes, and they smile when he starts to enjoy himself. He feels like part of the family by the time food is ready, and when he comments about the food tasting better that what they feed him in the GAR your mother gets downright upset. She makes a deal that him and his brothers are allowed over anytime for dinner. By the end of the visit he is reluctant to leave, and tells you how much he loves your family.
Atin - When you asked him to meet your family he frowns and asks why. When you explain that it is customary for a significant other to meet parents and family he reluctantly agrees. When you ask if its his scars that he is worried about and confirms it you assure him that it doesn’t matter to you and that it won’t matter to your family. When he meets your family he is shocked at how they overlook his scars. It makes him feel better when your grandmother tells you that you picked the hottest of the brothers he blushes... that's right he blushes like mad. He definitely definitely didn’t rub it in Fi’s face later either. He asks you when the next time your family wants to meet as he feels like he truly belongs.
Corr - He is actually the one that asks to meet your family. You think it’s a great idea, and you set it up. Of course he fits right in making jokes and helping with placing food on the table. Your mother beams at you when he pulls out your chair for you. Your father nods and smiles as he sits down. At one point the conversation of his injuries and how he lost part of his arms and his hands comes up. Your family looks sad until he assures them he is okay and takes the synthetic flesh off to show them. The children crowd around him asking all kinds of questions about how he can still be a soldier. At one point while your talking to your mother you look over to see him holding your brothers newborn. He is smiling and when he looks up at you and mouths he wants one you can’t help but smile and nod.
Boss - Down right refuses when you ask, and tries to shut you down as you try to explain. You get angry and have a small fight to which Skirata has to talk to him. Once Skirata informs him how important it is even for Mandalorian courting he changes his mind. He is tense the entire time even when he knows that your family likes him and accepts him. He just can’t seem to relax until the kids start asking him about weapons. That's when you see him relax as he explains in detail the stats of each weapon. When its time to leave your parents tell him how much they enjoyed his company and that they don’t doubt his loyalty and love.
Fixer - The audacity that this man has is astounding. When you ask him to meet your family he agrees, but once arriving he scrutinizes everything. Your family doesn’t notice it, but you do and you confront him about it. He tells you its just his nature, but he tries to be less judgmental in front of your family. Its not until they start including him in conversation that he lightens up and actually enjoys himself. Once he joins the conversation your family warms up to him, but it is a slow process. By dinner time he is helping set the table and even helps you into your chair. When its time to leave he actually stands there dumbfounded when your family gives you and him their blessing to continue dating.
Scorch - Oh boy this man when you ask is bouncing off the walls with excitement. When you both arrive he hugs your mother as if he has known her all his life and shakes your fathers hand telling him how lucky he was to have you as a partner. They automatically adore him as well as the rest of your family. He is great with the kids and holds their attention, and then during dinner he puts his foot in his mouth when he mentions your pregnant. Everything seems to stop as you glare at him, and he gives you the oh shit look. Then the entire family is congratulating you both and giving their well wishes. By the time the two of you leave your family is talking about all the gifts they are going to buy your child.
Sev - Its like pulling teeth when you ask him as he tells you there is no point. When you keep pressing the issue he blows up which is out of character for him usually he is the calm collected one. That’s when the fight starts, and it isn’t long before Vau has to go in alone and talk to him. When Vau comes back out Sev is behind him, and quietly tells you he will go. Your family is scared of him because of how big he is and how gruff his voice is. It isn’t until your five year old niece comes up to him and tugs on his leg does he soften. He picks her up and smiles...he has a genuine smile and when he looks over to you and the smile you hold he softens even more. By the time you leave he is one of the family and on your walk back home he tells you how he would like to have a little girl one day you smile. You tell him he won’t have to wait long because the reason you wanted him to meet your family was because you were pregnant. This man picks you up spins you and gives you a kiss that steals your breath away.
