7-year-old Annabeth refusing to go to bed during her first month in the Athena cabin. Annabeth sitting up in bed, holding a pillow to her chest, as her eyes fill with tears because she's terrified that if she closes them, something will get her. Begging through her tears, asking her new siblings check under the bed to make sure there’s nothing there. Older campers keep trying to reassure her and checking, but she keeps insisting they're doing it wrong. A group of tired Athena campers sneaking out in the dead of night to drag Luke from the Hermes Cabin so he can get her to sleep. 7-year-old Annabeth flinging herself into his arms as she sobs because she's already lost so much, and now she doesn't even have her big brother watching over her.

There are two wolves in my brain

One of them wants an Annabeth/Reyna swap au bc of how genuinely interesting it would be to see the daughter of a very greek goddess who is looked down upon in roman society and the daughter of a very important roman goddess that doesn’t have a greek form interact at each others camps. Especially when considering their individual prides in being a daughter of Athena and a roman praetor.  

The other also wants that au but bc they wanna see the gods try to deal with Percy nearly wrecking the east coast.

oh also merlin gives aithusa to freya and soon the lake gets a reputation for having a literal dragon that lives there. though people aren't sure if it's real or just a magic trick (after all, dragons are supposed to be all extinct except for one). and this on top of freya Also having excalibur makes me think merlin just keeps bringing her important magic items for her to keep safe.

rewriting bbc merlin where nothing changes except merlin actually marries freya and she becomes a recurring character. appearing whenever merlin needs to talk to someome about magic but doesn't feel like dealing with kilgharrah so he takes a boat out to the lake and spends time with his lake wife. sometimes he doesn't even need advice and just wants to hang out. she is tied to bodies of water so even when he's out in the countryside for some reason or another he can talk to her if there's a river or creek or pond or really anything nearby
