Every Breath You Take
"I love you."
Those are the words I want to tell her.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw her but when she spoke to me, I knew I loved her.
When we first meet she trusted me by sharing her hopes and dreams with me. I offered her my help, which she accepted with a smile.
I love her.
Everything was going well until he showed up.
He went up to her, hugged her and made her laugh with a pathetic joke. But I saw his intentions.
They were not good.
Because I loved her, I stole her attention with an offer to spend the evening together.
She gladly accepted because it was I who offered.
When the time came, the evening turned into night. It was a wonderful night!
I was angry when she did not remember the night, until I realized the change in that version of time.
In the first version, after spending a wonderful time together, she mentioned him.
She was going to spend time with him after our time was up.
Because I loved her, I could tell she was unhappy to leave me.
I knew she would be in danger, so I had to protect her.
I held her close me, so tightly to keep her with me.
I took her breath away with my loving action.
She didn't let go of me and I knew she was safe. Even she was no longer moving, I held her close to me.
The world around me, no longer mattered to me because I had her. When the world flashed in red and blue, I didn't let go because I loved her.
Two men forcefully pulled me away from her and place me in the back of their car.
They said I hurt her.
I told them it wasn't true because I loved her and she loved me. I told them I was protecting her from him, who was one trying to hurt her.
I looked at the direction where she laid, she couldn't get up because I was not there to hold her.
Why are they placing a white clothing over her?
I started to fight the restrains they placed on me, they can't keep us apart!
They tried to hold me back but time moved slowly.
In a flash of white, I stood at her driveway as she walked back home.
I have been given a second chance to say those words.
This version may be different but I will keep her safe.
Because I love her, she will be mine to her last breath.

Infiltrate - Day 01 (Part 1)
A Mystic Messenger Fanfiction
Summary: You wake up on a park bench with no memory of who you were before that moment or where you came from. The only thing you know is your name. With the ID and phone you had in your sweater pocket, you head out to find out who you are when you receive a mysterious message from a person named Unknown. In an unexpected turn of events, you end up being pulled into an organization known as the R.F.A. Will you uncover who you are? Will you remember your mission and complete it? You received a mysterious message that is a piece of a puzzle, will you solve it?
Trigger Warning: None, just mention of a panic attack
"Infiltrate. That is your mission."
The mission. That is my mission.
The sound of birds chirping in the distance and the warmth of the light on my face stirred me awake from my sleep.
My body felt heavy, and the movements I did from sitting up straight to rubbing away the sleepiness from my eyes were slow and robotic.
It felt wrong. My body felt foreign to me.
The rustling leaves parted, permitting the light of the sun to hit my face. Slowly my vision adjusted to the light and the blurriness started to clear up. I could see that I was not in my room.
Confusion then panic settled within me.
I'm at a park!
What am I doing here? Why did I wake up on a bench at the park?!
No! This is not right! I shouldn't be!
I thought to myself as I got up from the bench, my whole body ached due to my still slow movements.
I fell to the floor my legs giving out under me. I could hear my pulse in my ears.
None of this makes any sense. I shouldn't be here! I should be at home!
Home?
When I tried to think of my home nothing came up...
I cradled my head in my hands as I tried to conjure up an image of my home, my family, of anything but... There was nothing.
It was getting harder to breathe, my vision started to darken and my heart raced. Pure panic was coursing through my shaking body.
I can’t breathe!
Stop!
A small part of my mind tried to take back control, I began to take deep steady breaths. As I started to manage my breathing, I counted to ten. Slowly my body was put into a state of ease.
I was still on my knees on the ground but the wave of panic ended for now.
I need to know what happened to me.
Carefully, I stood up with the help from the bench I woke up on.
I paused for a second to allow my body to adjust and to look at the bench in case there was anything there before I took a step forward.
Did I know where I am going? No.
Did I know where I am? No.
I just knew sitting on the bench will not give me the answers I need.
As I slowly walked I check the pockets of my sweater, which contained a phone that I think is mine and an ID. Luckily I recognized my name on the ID but nothing else.
One question solved. Sorta.
The address on the ID must be my home. I should head there.
I turned on the phone as I sigh at the reality of my current situation. My plan is to use a feature on the phone to take me to this address or to at least tell me what the time is.
From what I could tell, as I walked around the park trying to find the entrance, it must be morning due to the position of the sun.
It took a while but I soon found the entrance to the park, just as the phone turned on with a soft ding. While I was relieved that it worked, the fact that there was only 10% of battery left put me more at unease.
I brought up the map app and turned on my location.
South Korea?
Am I from South Korea?
I looked around, I was nearing a shopping district that was started to open and prepare for morning business. Looking at the signs it took longer than what normal person would probably take but I understood what I read and that is what matters.
So I know Korean, my name is (Y/N), and that’s about it... Grrreat!
I could feel my heart start to beat faster, slowly I started to take deep breaths. I did not like that feeling from before I don’t want to experience that again.
Ding!
A message?
My hand slightly trembled as I opened the message that arrived.
Unknown: ...Hello...?
My breathing hitched, there were alarms going off in my head.
Should I respond? I don’t know this person! I’m not even sure if this phone really is mine!
I had stopped walking since I opened the phone and I am sure I looked strange to anyone who was looking, carefully I made my way to one of the cafes that had just opened across the street. I didn't have money but I could at least sit there until I calmed down and considered my options.
Since I’m not 100% sure this is my phone I should respond. But the person named showed up as Unknown so maybe I really don’t know them...
What am I going to do?!
My free hand was balled up into a fist, I’m scared but if I don’t take this or any risk how am I going to find any answers.
With a sense of determination, I opened up the phone again and responded.
Unknown: ...Hello...?
(Y/N): ?
Unknown: Can you see this?
(Y/N): Who are you?
Unknown:  I’m sure you’re surprised
Unknown: It’s not everyday you get a text from a stranger.
Unknown: I a but flusered myselft. I found a smartphone at the subway station, but all it had was this messenger app.
Unknown: I want to find the owner but I don’t see any contact info or call records...
Unknown: I’ve been sending messages with this app but no reply...
Unknown: All I see is an address and some improtant-looking numbers saved in notes.
Unknown: I’d like to go ther myself but I am currently abroad...
(Y/N): An address?
Unknown: Yes. There’s a Korean address and a long number. I think it’s a password.
Unknown: Do you mind going to the address?
Unknown: That’s all that’s saved in this phone.
Unknown: I know you’re surprised to have someone suddenly pop up and ask you a favor like this.
Unknown: But still…
Unknown:  I’d appreciate it if you could help.
I don’t trust this but if maybe I help the owner they could maybe spare some change and I could head to the address on the ID.
It’s not a great idea but I have nothing else and now I know that at least this phone is mine.
I know this is a risk but I have to take it!
What is the worst that can happen...
(Y/N): How can I help you?
Unknown: Uhm… I’d like for you to go to the address saved here.
Unknown: I saw the street view through the internet, and I’ve been there before.
Unknown: It’s an apartment in downtown. Very crowded.
Unknown: It’s really a safe place. If you feel unsafe, you can turn around.
Unknown: I know the area. It’s developed.
Unknown: Please?
(Y/N):  Fine… I’m leaving right away if it feels sketchy.
Unknown: You trust me…
Unknown: Thank you!
Unknown: Just a sec. I’ll send you the address.
Unknown: Found it.
Unknown: < [Address] >
Wait! That address looks really familiar! Do I know it? Have I been there?
The address looks so familiar yet no memory came to me.
I don’t know if it’s a good idea to go but this is my only clue.
I stood up from the chair I was sitting on in the cafe and I started to make my way to this address.
Hopefully, I can find an answer...
