i keep trying to force myself to fully switch to using the lesbian label but even though i know FOR A FACT that i don’t like men, queer just feels more me and i think it’s because queer describes not only my sexuality but also my gender..lesbian feels like a part of me but queer feels like the whole version…if that makes sense?!

i also haven’t ever been a fan of labels so the fact the queer is something that i can conform to me rather than the other way around is comforting.

This means masculine-aligned

This means people who fit into neither

This means multigender

This means people who’s gender you may not fully understand

As someone who volunteers at a refugee center that specifically serves middle eastern refugees, and is the daughter of an immigrant Iraqi woman: exactly this. Arabs are routinely accused of being terrorists, but it’s Arab countries that are practically getting eradicated every single day. This has been happening over and over, and it’s getting extremely tired that it slides every time. And yet Biden has said with his whole chest that there would be more US-UK airstrikes on Yemen incoming. Fucking insane that anti-Arab racism gets a world stage & everyone’s just okay with it.
