I use this product about every other night because this product is expensive! If it wasn’t so expensive I would be using this product every night.

After taking my makeup off and doing my normal face routine, I like to put a couple of drops of this essence on a cotton pad and pat it all over the skin. A little does go a long way in this product. It makes my skin feeling really clean. The next morning I notice that my skin looks radiant and smooth. It really does refine my pores.

TIPS:

Moisturize your skin after applying this essence. You do not want it to dry your skin out.

It is great for sensitive skin

If you do go to Japan, buy it there. I got it for about $60 up there, vs in the US it is $99

Tarte Shape Tape vs. Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

Is the new Makeup Revolution Conceal & define a dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape concealer?

They both claim to be long lasting, crease free, full coverage concealers.  But is the Makeup Revolution a dupe for the Tarte Shape tape?

I first bought the Tarte Shape Tape because everyone was raving about it.  With my experience the Tarte Shape Tape is very long lasting and it sets perfectly under the eyes.  You do not need to set it because it dries to a powder like finish.  However, this concealer is a little more on the dryer side, but I find that it does not crease and it last all day long.

I decided to buy the Makeup Revolution concealer because it looked similar, and the claims are similar to the Tarte Shape Tape.  Just like the Tarte Shape Tape they have similar large applicators.  I found that the Makeup Revolution concealer is a little thinner in consistency and you do need to set it with a powder. I found this concealer to not last as long as the Tarte Shape Tape, but it does last a decent amount of time if you are not in a humid and hot environment. 

They are both full coverage concealers and the wear time is pretty long lasting.  If you do have dry skin I do suggest getting the Makeup Revolution concealer because it is not as thick.  The price difference is pretty drastic, so if you are on a budget, go with the Makeup Revolution brand. 

I however, tend to gravitate more towards the Tarte Shape Tape.  For myself having combination to oily skin, and living in a humid environment, I find that the Tarte Shape Tape last longer.  If I know that I am going out at night I like to juggle between the two.
