Just remembered this gem, and now I'm suddenly so emotional.

Soft Gally Headcanon

Look out, I don’t have too many of these!

But I was thinking about Chuck’s carving. How sweet would it be, if it turns out Gally was the one who taught him how to carve wood?

Or like, Gally was whittling, and the new little Greenie wandered over, all shy and scared. Gally had a brief lapse of macho, handed Chuck a knife, and they sat there together whittling away their frustrations.

Before long Gally probably noticed Chuck’s talent, encouraged him, and told him to keep the knife.

From then on he was typical Gally, but neither one of them forgot that day.

And when Gally carved Chuck’s name on the memorial stone, that’s what he was thinking of.

Okay, sorry about that. My feels are flaring up now, gotta go cry.
