Danny can see death, but not in a way anyone assumes. When people around you die they leave a mark, how the mark appears depends on how close you are to them and how they died.

The more violent the death the more tattered the wisps, the younger they are the more fragile, the closer they are emotionally the closer they cling. many will cry in quietly despair, or wail loudly for the injustice, it is more concerning when they are silent. As if afraid to be heard...

So when Danny who is newly hired to Wayne Industries Aeronautics sector meets Bruce Wayne for the first time as he passes through to meet with his son, he is horrified to witness the amount of wisps coming from the man.

They are all tattered and fragile, children who died before their time in the most violent of ways. But that wasn't even the most horrifying part, no, it was the silence. The wisps didn't make a sound and it chilled Danny to the core.

Bruce Wayne who has a history of adopting children on the slightest of whims and has at least one child death under his belt the public knows about. Danny doesn't want to make assumptions, but there was no telling what Bruce did out of the public eye or how many children he took in that no one knows about...

When Bruce caught his eye and Danny noticed the interest that crossed his expression he realized, he fit his criteria, black hair and blue eyes. Danny hoped this wouldn't lead to him finding out personally that his boss is a serial killer, he really should have expected this when he moved to Gotham… ------------------------------------------------

AKA Every time one of his kids died a piece of them attached to Bruce before they were revived and those combined with some of the victims he couldn't save, meant that Bruce was absolutely covered in death echoes. Danny sees this and believes Bruce is a serial killer, not just any serial killer, but one that had a habit of targeting kids.

Lleu has been the incest baby all along! Morgause shaped Medraut's beliefs and made him loyal to her. It doesn't matter if he's of her blood or not because even if he is not her child biologically, he is her child idologically. A weapon of her own making. Artos' rejection drove him into Morgause's arms. If her plan came to fruition he would have slain her enemies for her and made her queen. It's brilliant, really. Medraut wouldn't even need to become a kinslayer, usurp and start a war. The throne would be rightfully his. All it would take is the revelation of Lleu's bastardy that would disqualify him as a successor.

The plan was never to make a child that could be her pawn as a king. The plan was to make a sacrifice. Morgause bore Lleu to give Artos a distraction while she was poisoning the mind of his real child. And in his shame Artos was playing right into her hands when he send away Medraut and neglected him. Medraut's hunger for parental love made him vulnerable to her manipulations and welcoming of her inappropiate advances.

Artos had no idea he was pampering his sister's bastard while he was treating his legitimate son like a stain on his family. If Medraut were to kill Lleu it wouldn't be regicide, it would be the execution of a pretender to the throne. He'd be treated like a hero instead of the villain he was. ooooh, this is so evil I like it. ^^

What do you think about the Xie Lian and Mu Qing discourse ? (about classism etc etc)

It’s dumb. The man who spent 800 years of his ~820 years of life in poverty and adapted by learning to accept that his circumstances are not a mark against his character while using said circumstances to relate to the kinds of people he was barred from directly interacting with before is somehow a bad representation for the lower classes because of the ~20 years he spent on top of the world.

But the man who spent over 800 years of his ~820 years of life trying to escape from the “stain” of having lived a fraction of those first 20 years in poverty (yes, a fraction, because he was not “in poverty” as xl’s companion from age 14, and he also was not in poverty before his father was executed for treason at whatever age), who does not hesitate to throw other poor and marginalized people under the bus in favor of the hierarchy, who refuses to publicly associate with the lower class because he is afraid that it will ruin his image amongst his upper-class peers, who promoted the idea of genociding poor refugees for the sin of rebelling against authority is somehow great lower class representation!
