Secrets in a Foreign Language (Part Eight-PREVIEW!) - Jungkook
Here is a quick preview of the 8th chapter of Secrets in a Foreign Language! The whole part will be coming soon!
Click here if you missed the previous part Click here if you want to start at the beginning
-----------------------------------------------------------
He loved you.
Jungkook loved you.
You couldn’t stop repeating this in your head for the days and weeks leading up to the BTS fan sign event he had left you tickets for.
A part of you still felt reserved; scared and apprehensive… not to mention pissed at what happened the last time the two of you were in his home. Plus, there were still things you didn’t know about him, things he didn’t tell you, like the fact that he was planning on moving, or even his phone number for goodness sake! Did that mean he didn’t trust you? Did that mean he didn’t want you in his life as more than a fuck buddy who was supposed to clean his apartment every week?
But he loves you.
The thought makes your heart feel full. You already knew you had fallen in love with him. That’s why when you two had that horrible argument that day you felt so hurt; almost more hurt than anytime in your life. You knew that meant something. Would you be able to just let that feeling go?
The night before the day of the fan sign you paced your small apartment back and forth, still debating whether to go or not. You wanted to see him again, you knew that much. Shouldn’t you hear him out? Figure out what his true intentions were with him?
But he’s an idol the more logic side of your brain would combat, That comes with so much baggage and unknown territory.
You sighed. Was that baggage something you would be willing to live with?
If it meant having Jungkook, then yes. You thought to yourself, heart winning the battle over your head.
You sat down at the edge of your couch and placed your head in your hands with a big sigh. Why was this so difficult?
You leaned back and stared up at the blank whiteness of the high ceiling in your loft apartment, your mind racing with confusion and trepidation.
Really it came down to one thing and one thing only:
Closure.
No matter what happens, you know in your heart that’s what you need. An ending to all this. Jungkook has been in your thoughts constantly for the past 3 months ever since you met him. Plus you weren’t someone who could live with the unknown, the “what-if”.
So yes, after all this debating with yourself you had finally made up your mind.
You would go see Jungkook, if not for anything else except closure.

Missed some chapters? here they are: chapter one
————————————————————————————————
“I think I’m going to go over there.”
Taehyung announced to Jungkook as he downed the rest of his white wine quickly. Taehyung flinched at the taste. He was not the biggest fan of alcohol.
“Go over where? To Jimin-hyung? But wait, hyung, what would you even say to, hyung! –“ Jungkook called after him in attempt to stop him, but he had already set his empty glass on the bar counter and started walking toward the three of you.
‘Shit, now what?’ thought Jungkook. He used his tongue to fiddle with his lip ring, a habit he had picked up ever since he got the piercing last year..
He wanted to go over there, too, but he felt so nervous. He was shy anyway, but something about seeing you again made him feel even more bashful than usual; almost like he was back to his high school self again, the self who had a massive crush on you and was way too nervous to do anything about it.
So, he just watched from afar as Taehyung approached your group.
At the sight of Taehyung, your friend Mina instantly perked up, and giggled at whatever he said as his greeting.
That was typical. Women often had that reaction to his best friend.
Then Jungkook watched as Taehyung turned towards you. You, however, did not wield the same reaction as your friend. In fact, you seemed to tense up a bit in his presence and your smile had faded. Jungkook couldn’t help but feel some kind of relief, even if he did also feel badly that you were clearly uncomfortable with Taehyung adding himself into the conversation.
Alas, feeling like a weirdo for just lurking off to the side and staring, Jungkook turned his body completely back around to face the bar and ran his hand through his hair. He twirled his empty glass around on the counter and sighed to himself.
He felt frustrated. And stupid. Why couldn’t he be extroverted like his hyung? Then he could approach you like a normal human instead of just standing here like an idiot having to hype himself up and figure out in advance what he was going to say to you so he could be ready whenever he finally did have the balls to-
“Could I get a vodka cranberry please?”

“Go over where? To Jimin-hyung? But wait, hyung, what would you even say to, hyung! –“ Jungkook called after him in attempt to stop him, but he had already set his empty glass on the bar counter and started walking toward the three of you.

Then he could approach you like a normal human instead of just standing here like an idiot having to hype himself up and figure out in advance what he was going to say to you so he could be ready whenever he finally did have the balls to-
“Could I get a vodka cranberry please?”
A voice coming from next to him snapped him out of his thoughts. He glanced over to where it had come from.
It was you.
At the bar, ordering another drink.
Only about 6 feet away from him.
His heart sped up and he quickly looked back down, focusing on his empty glass like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
‘Now was his chance!’ he thought.
Why was he so goddamn nervous?
And why were you so goddamn gorgeous??
He found himself glimpsing slightly sideways over to where you were standing and noticed your fingers drumming gently on the surface of the counter. He then continued moving his eyes upwards until they landed on your face.
At that moment, he realized, you were doing the same.
The two of you made awkward eye contact, which caused both of you to chuckle nervously at each other and look away again.
Really, it was now or never.
Jungkook cleared his throat and turned his body to face you.
“Hey.”
Wow. That’s it? Smooth.
You looked fully into his face this time, and the little smile you gave him caused his stomach to flutter.
“Hi.” You replied softly.
 He swallowed nervously.
“(y/n), right?”
You nodded, your smile getting wider.
“Jungkook?”
He let out a quiet breath of relief. You remembered him!
“Yeah!” he cleared his throat nervously again, afraid he sounded too eager, “Yeah, um, it’s good to see you again.”
“You, too.”
He watched you tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear. It instantly made him want to touch it, too, to feel how soft it was.
Wait, what was going on with him?
‘Maybe I should cool it on the alcohol for now…’ he thought to himself.
“Do you want another?” you suddenly asked him, pointing to his empty glass.
The bartender had just placed your fresh drink on the counter in front of you and you both were staring at Jungkook, awaiting his response.
He panicked.
“Oh, um, yeah, sure! I’ll just have the same as her, thanks.”
Wait, he didn’t even like vodka! And didn’t he just think to himself that he was going to slow down the drinking? Great.
“We had a couple classes together senior year, right?” you questioned, pulling Jungkook out of his thoughts and back to the scenario at hand.
Jungkook nodded.
“Oh, ye-yes, right, I think Korean and a World History class?”
Your face perked up.
“Ah that’s right! I remembered Korean but I couldn’t remember the other one. World History, right…”
Jungkook chuckled.
“Well, I only remember because I definitely would not have passed those classes if it wasn’t for you.”
A blush on his pale cheeks accompanied his honest smile, and he looked at the ground timidly.
You laughed.
Ah, he remembered that laugh now. He remembered that he loved hearing it, and loved it even more when he was the one who had caused it.
“I’m sure that’s not true, but I’m glad I could have been of service.”
You gave a little bow in jest which instantly made Jungkook laugh, too.
Jungkook couldn’t believe how adorable you still were, but also how sexy you had gotten.
He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, but at the same time he felt a calmness around you, like he could be himself. He always was his truest self with you back then, and with these familiar feelings rushing through him once again, he realized it had definitely been more than just a little crush.
You honestly had no idea how you were keeping your cool in this moment. Jungkook had remembered your name! Who you were! You really hoped you weren’t making too much of a fool of yourself, and you had truly planned to say something to him when you stood got to the bar to get another drink. Really, you did. He just beat you to it!
Regardless, your heart was leaping inside your chest as your conversation went on.
“What are you up to now?” Jungkook wondered, after taking a sip from his vodka cranberry. You swear you saw him wince at the taste, but you didn’t bother pointing that out.
“Oh, I um, actually started my own business.” You responded timidly.
Jungkook’s eyebrows perked up.
“Really? That’s awesome! What kind of business?”
You hesitated. You weren’t ashamed of your work or anything, you were actually quite proud of yourself. But through social media you knew that Jungkook had taken over his father’s international property investment company, which made your own company seem miniscule and unimportant in comparison.
But you shook off the inferior feeling, replacing it with as much fake confidence as you could.
“It’s an ESL tutoring business for Korean people of all ages. Anyone who would like to learn English can sign up and take online or in-person classes with me or another one of the teachers I’ve hired. We are all fluent in both English and Korean which I think really helps,” you paused and shrugged, “It’s not, like, world changing or anything but I at least really enjoy it.”
Jungkook shook his head, his eyes wide in amazement.
“Are you kidding me? That IS world changing! Think of all the people you’ve helped, (y/n). Wow, that’s amazing.”
You chuckled and blushed, thanking him quietly.
“Damn,” he went on, “would you tutor me? I could seriously use some English lessons.”
You laughed and a big smile formed on his face.
“Jungkook, your English is amazing. You don’t need any lessons.”
Then he busted out in English rather than the Korean you had been speaking up until this point,
“No no, my English is not good, I don’t speak English at all. Please help me, teacher!”
And you both died laughing, maybe finding the hilarity of the situation with the help of the alcohol running through your veins.
“Yah, what’s so funny?”
Taehyung wondered as he and Mina approached the two of you.
You instantly stiffened up. To be honest, Taehyung had always rubbed you the wrong way, though you weren’t sure why.
You glanced at Jungkook whose face had fallen. He shrugged and looked at the ground.
“Ah, it’s nothing, hyung.”
Mina touched your elbow lightly to get your attention which made you look at her. She mouthed the words “You okay?” and you smiled and nodded in response, thankful for your best friend in that moment.
Meanwhile, Taehyung lifted his arm to get the bartender’s attention.
“Hey, what do you all say to doing some shots of soju?”
Mina squealed in delight.
“Yes, definitely! Let’s really get this party started!”
Taehyung glanced at you and gave you a sideways smirk.
However you felt about him, there was no denying he was incredibly handsome.
“(y/n), you in?”
Why, in that moment, you chose to look at Jungkook you weren’t sure, but you noticed a frown on his face, and he also was awaiting your response. He immediately looked away as soon as you caught him staring.
You shrugged and looked back at Taehyung.
“Uh, sure, why not?”
Taehyung’s smile got wider as he turned to the bartender to order.
You watched as Jungkook shuffled uncomfortably and played with his lip ring with his tongue.
“…and keep them coming, sajangnim!”
You couldn’t help but feel like you had an interesting rest of the evening ahead of you…

‘the reunion’ (chapter one) jeon jungkook x reader
hello, I’m back! I randomly had this idea and wanted to act on it before I forgot about it!
- summary: it’s ten years after you graduated high school and your best friend convinces you to go to the reunion. you’re hesitant because you wonder if someone you never really stopped thinking about will be there... - jeon jungkook x reader - (past high school peers) au - word count: 2.5k - in this story there will be parts from the reader’s POV which is normal font like this, and jungkook’s third person POV in italics like this
A/N: in this first chapter there is a bit of explaining of the past but it’s relevant to the story so please bear through it! I still think it turned out pretty well! Feedback is always appreciated :)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I still can’t believe you convinced me to go to this thing.”
That comment made your best friend laugh in response from the bathroom that was adjoined to her bedroom where she was applying the last bit of her make-up.
“Come on, I really think we will have a great time! We’ve done really well for ourselves the past 10 years!”
You sighed as she stepped out.
“Plus,” she continued, “you look smokin’ hot.”
You rolled your eyes but smiled and took a look at yourself in the full length mirror.
You had to admit, you did feel pretty confident. After all, it wasn’t often that you dolled yourself up as much as this.
She grabbed a pair of diamond earrings off her dresser and stood next to you at the mirror to put them on.
“And I really want to see how much the people from our high school graduating class have changed, you know?”
You scoffed and made eye contact with her reflection.
“Mina, please. By ‘people’ you mean ‘guys’, and by ‘changed’ you mean ‘have gotten hotter’.”
She winked at you playfully and gave you a mischievous smile.
“Ah y/n, you know me too well.”
You chuckled and rolled your eyes again.
“Now come on,” she turned and grabbed her bag that was laying on the bed, “we have to go or we’re going to be late.”
Your ten year high school reunion was located at a rooftop bar in downtown Seoul, overlooking the Han River, the Namsan Tower not too far in the distance. It was an absolutely beautiful evening just before the start of sunset. The air pollution was at a minimum and there wasn’t a rain cloud in the sky.
As you and Mina stepped out of the elevator and onto the rooftop terrace you were immediately offered a glass of champagne. You took it without hesitation; knowing you were going to need it in order to face some of these people that you hadn’t seen in almost 10 years.
Back in high school, you weren’t hated by any means, you just weren’t very popular. You hung around with pretty much the same group of friends, with Mina being the only one you really kept in touch with these days.
You and Mina were assigned lab partners freshman year and the two of you instantly clicked which took you by surprise since Mina was quite different from you. She was confident, loud, and unapologetically herself. She had helped you get out of your shell more, be less shy… and was the only reason you entered that friend group in the first place. But alas, you still were who you were, with Mina’s help or not, so while she was definitely memorable, you couldn’t help but think that you on the other hand, were definitely forgettable. Would anyone here even remember your name?
“Oh my god, Mina!”
A girl from aforementioned friend group approached the two of you. Her arms were stretched out as she wrapped Mina in a small hug.
You remembered her name was Jenny, though the two of you were never close.
Jenny turned toward you, her smile fading a bit.
“And, um… Mina’s friend!”
Point proven.
Instantly you felt small and regretful for agreeing to come here. Was this how it was going to go the whole evening?
She gave you a fake smile and hug (if you could even call it that), too.
“Come on, Jen, this is (y/n),” Mina spoke up, “My best friend. She’s the only one I decided to keep in touch with all these years!”
You smiled to yourself.
This is why you loved Mina. She was always there to stick up for you… and throw subtle shade.
“Ah, (y/n), of course I remember! Don’t be silly, Mina, I was just making a joke! What, did you lose your sense of humor after all these years?”
She waved her hand like it wasn’t a big deal and let out a fake laugh.
There was an awkward pause.
“Right, well, it was good to see you, Jenny, but right now I desperately need another drink,” Mina held up her already empty champagne glass, “we’ll see you around, okay?”
Before Jenny could respond Mina started pushing you away and towards the bar.
“God, what a bitch,” she whispered in your ear, “Why did we come here again?”
You chuckled.
“Min, this was your idea!”
Mina rolled her eyes.
“Damnit, you’re right.”
And the two of you laughed together.
But then, almost instantaneously, you stopped.
Because there he was. The one person you were most anxious to see.
Standing right at the bar.
Everything around you seemed to disappear.
Your heart sped up.
He looked so good. And so different. But so. Damn. Good.
“Whoa. Are you seeing what I’m seeing?”
Mina’s sudden voice from next to you snapped you out of your thoughts.
You glanced back at her and followed her gaze to exactly where you had just been staring.
Wait, had she been looking at him, too?
She grasped your arm tightly.
“Isn’t that Kim Taehyung? Oh my god. Who knew he would become so handsome? He looks like a freaking Greek GOD.”
You chuckled slightly.
So, she wasn’t looking at the same person as you were. You felt relieved.
But then she asked,
“And who is that next to him?”
Your face instantly got warm. You didn’t have to look again to know exactly who she was referring to.
She continued her speculation,
“Oh wait… is that-“
“Jeon Jungkook.”
You answered quickly… maybe suspiciously quickly.
Immediately you covered your tracks, “Uh, I think that’s him anyway”.
Mina cocked her head.
“Ah that’s right! Jungkook! Wow… he got handsome, too.”
She wasn’t wrong.
You remembered high school Jungkook perfectly. Back then, he had a nice helmet of dark brown hair, with bangs that fell over his forehead and swept to the side. He was taller than you, but small and kind of awkward; like his body hadn’t gone through puberty yet. He had a sweet smile that resembled a bunny because of two slightly larger front teeth. He was good at everything and anything he tried, talent seemed to run through his veins like blood.
But most of all, he was just generally such a nice guy. He was always helping people when they needed it, like carrying heavy books for girls (and not just the pretty ones), inviting unpopular guys to his friends’ parties (despite his friends’ protests), and staying incredibly modest despite his endless and obvious talents. He was a really good person, and because of that he was very popular with both the boys and girls.
It was also because of all these very reasons that you had fallen for him.
Yes, like many people at your school, you had fallen for Jeon Jungkook.
But, unlike those other people, you and Jungkook actually had a relationship… well, if you could even call it that. It wasn’t a “relationship” relationship, not even close. In fact, could you really have even called it a friendship?
You had two classes together senior year, neither of which either of you had any friends in (more surprising for him since he had way more friends than you), and it just so happened that you were assigned to sit next to each other in both classes. One day, while in Korean class, he leaned over to your desk and asked you about a question on the assignment (why he was asking you, the non-Korean, a question about Korean you had no idea) but ever since then the two of you would work together in both classes, and always partner up when it was required. Because of this, a couple times you even went to his house to work on projects, and vice versa. He would also say “hi” to you in the halls and smile that bunny smile, which he continued to do until the end of the year. You even remembered that at one point you thought he was going to ask you to hang out, not sure as friends or as more, but then in the moment he suddenly changed the subject, never brought it up again, and you were too shy to ask about it. So finally, when graduation came, the two of you went your separate ways, and you never saw him again.
Well, until now.
Tonight he wore a black suit jacket with a silky black shirt underneath, the top couple of buttons undone which subtly revealed an obviously toned chest. The suit jacket, you noticed, barely fit around his muscular upper arms. Clearly lifting weights was something he had been working on these past 10 years. His waist was still small though, the shirt was tucked in around it into the matching black suit pants. When he briefly raised his arm to swipe a piece of his semi-shaggy jet black bangs out of his face you noticed rings adorning his long fingers. And wait… were those tattoos on his hand, too? And a lip and eyebrow piercing? You were shocked; definitely didn’t expect the shy and innocent Jungkook from high school to end up with finger tattoos and facial piercings.
He was leaning against the bar with the same group of friends he had always hung out with in high school and based on their Facebook posts everyone knew they all still hung out to this day. There were seven of them, and they were the popular group back then; every guy wanted to be their friend, every girl wanted to date one of them.
In fact, Mina had dated one of them. His name was Jimin. He was sweet, and handsome in the pretty, more feminine type of way. Despite the fact that their relationship didn’t work out, they had still stayed friends for the remainder of their time in school together.
So sure enough, once Mina laid eyes on him she wasted no time in loudly yelling his name to get his attention.
“Park Jimin!”
At the sound of their friend being called, all seven of them turned to look at the two of you.
That’s when you and Jungkook made eye contact for the first time in 10 years.
Your heart felt like it leapt into your throat and immediately you looked away. He probably didn’t remember who you were anyway, so you wanted to hold on to the good memories you had of your time together back then rather than replace them with disappointing memories of tonight.
Jimin’s smile instantly got wider when he saw who had called his name, and he said something to the other guys before practically bounding his way over to where you were standing.
“Ohwaaa, Lee Mina! Is that really you??”
Jimin wrapped his arms around her in a huge hug and swayed her back and forth. He had always been extremely physically affectionate so that obviously hadn’t changed.
“It’s me, Jiminie, right here in the flesh!” Mina replied, returning his big hug.
Jimin stepped back and took a look at her.
“Wow, Mina, you look even prettier now than back then…”
From any other guy that may have been a creepy thing to say, but from Jimin it was always just complete sincerity. There wasn’t a creepy bone in his body, never had been.
Mina giggled and rolled her eyes.
“Oh, stop it… and you’re one to talk! I see the eye liner and extra-macho clothes are gone. You look great, Jimin.”
At this he smiled so widely that his eyes almost disappeared, just looking like crescent shapes on his cherubic face.
Then he turned to you and wrapped you in an equally large hug, bumping your champagne glass and causing the remainder of it to spill out onto the floor.
“And (y/f/n) (y/l/n), it’s so good to see you, too. You’re so beautiful as well, wow.”
You blushed at this and quietly thanked him.
Then he said,
“So how have you two been? Are you still living in Seoul?”
The three of you continued engaging in friendly conversation as the night carried on.
Jungkook swirled around the small amount of brown liquid that remained in his glass, attempting not to stare over to where Jimin had just left the group to go. He wanted to look, though… he really wanted to look.
For he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw you here. You had always been rather shy, he remembered, so he was surprised you had come. Maybe you were convinced by the friend who stood next to you, a girl Jimin had dated he remembered, but he couldn’t quite recall her name. That’s what he would guess anyway, that she had wanted you to tag along. Though he supposed you could have changed… it had been almost 10 years after all.
“God damn,” Jungkook looked up at his best friend, Taehyung, who had interrupted his thoughts, “who is Jimin-ssi talking to?”
Jungkook used this as an excuse to look over at you. You were laughing at something your friend was saying.
“Hmm… I think he used to date her. I don’t remember her name.”
Taehyung shook his head.
“No no, I’m not talking about Mina, I meant the other girl, the girl next to her.”
Jungkook swallowed the rest of his drink. The liquid burned as it went down his throat.
“Oh, uh… that’s, uh, (y/n).”
Jungkook’s cheeks suddenly felt flushed at the sound of your name coming from his mouth. It was probably just the alcohol, he figured.
“Hmmm, (y/n)…” Taehyung repeated, “I don’t remember her. Did you know her?”
Jungkook shrugged, pretending to be uninterested.
“Uh, yeah, I think we had a couple classes together.”
Taehyung replied after taking a sip from his glass, “Wow… she is really attractive. I would have thought I would have remembered someone that pretty…”
Taehyung’s comment instantly made Jungkook perk his head up. He followed Taehyung’s gaze, using it as another excuse to glance at you. And this time, he let his eyes linger on you for just a little while longer.
Taehyung was wrong; for you weren’t just pretty… you were absolutely beautiful.
The way your black satin, spaghetti strap dress flowed over your body, but still managed to hug your obvious curves. It stopped mid-calf, with a slit down the side of the leg that went up almost dangerously high. Your hair was in waves as it cascaded down your shoulders and onto your bare back.
But what caught Jungkook’s attention the most was the smile that accompanied your laugh. It brightened up your face and made you seem confident and carefree. A feeling of warmth and familiarity suddenly overtook Jungkook, catching him by surprise, and in an instant all the memories of the two of you back then came flooding into his mind.
Yes, he remembered now.
He had been absolutely smitten with you.
And seeing you here again reminded him of just why.

‘Is Love Truly Blind?’
Based off the Netflix reality show “Love Is Blind”.
pairing: Kim Seokjin x (female, chubby) reader
genre: Romance (Fluff+Angst)
chapter: 2/?
word count: 1.2k
summary: you participate in an experiment to find love; the only catch being… you can’t see the person you’re falling in love with. So... will you find your perfect match sight unseen? Can someone capture your heart through only words? Will you be able to place full trust in your emotional instincts? And when you finally see them face-to-face, will they meet your expectations? All this begs the question… is love truly blind?
chapter 1 // meeting
---------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 2 // DEALBREAKER
It was day 3 out of 10 here in this ‘Love is Blind’ experiment. There were 9 other straight men and women also participating, and today was the first day you could make requests to be in the pods with a specific participant.
You had definitely made a few connections the past couple of days, and you were excited to see where they could take you. And apparently, there were others who felt so, too.
“Ms. (y/l/n), someone has requested you in pod number 3, please.” A member of the experiment committee approached you as you were sipping on a cup of iced coffee in the female’s lounge area.
“Oh, okay,” you responded, maybe slightly surprised, “I will head there, thank you.”
Today you wore a pair of black jogger sweatpants and a tank top, a loose cardigan draped over top. If you were going to be in the pods for a while, comfort was all you wanted.
You made your way to the third pod with your glass of iced coffee and opened the door, approaching the now familiar green couch and curling your legs underneath you before sitting down. You placed your coffee on the small table in front of you.
You were so curious as to who it was who wanted to speak to you one-on-one again.
Suddenly you heard a door shut on the other side of the wall.
“Hello? It’s (y/n). Is someone there?”
The sound of some shuffling before a response,
“(y/n), hello! It’s Jin!”
A large grin immediately spread across your face at the familiar voice. You were so happy it was him.
“Oh, hi, Seokjin!”
Jin gasped.
“Ohhwaaa, you say my full name!”
You giggled and bit your lip timidly.
“Yes. I’ve been practicing!”
He chuckled.
“Ahhh, thank you, I like that very much. And… do you remember how to say ‘hello’ in Korean?”
He had taught you this yesterday, the third time you two were in the pods together.
“Ohhh, um, I knew you would ask! Let me see…umm, ah..ahnnyeong…hashiyo?” your face turned red knowing that didn’t sound quite right, “uhh, something like that?”
You heard Jin clap his hands together.
“Wow! So close! It is annyeonghasayoh, but you got it! I am really impressed.”
You chuckled bashfully, feeling shy but so giddy.
“Thank you,” you paused, playing with the string of one of the pillows, “and thank you for wanting to see me again, er, well, hear me again.”
You both laughed.
“Yes, of course. To be honest, I, um, I feel like we connected. You are the person I felt the most with.”
You put your face in your hands, hiding your smile from obviously no one. You wanted to squeal.
“So, you’re saying… I’m your number one, Seokjinnie?”
You were joking, the sudden flirtatiousness coming out of you taking you by surprise.
Jin laughed that windshield laugh again.
“Ahh well, yes, yes I suppose that is what I am saying.”
You put your head in your hands again, trying to suppress your excited noises.
Jin spoke again.
“Do you-how do you… feel (y/n)?”
He sounded nervous. It was endearing. You wasted no time in reassuring him.
“Hmm, the feeling is definitely mutual, Seokjin.”
Jin exhaled, almost like he was relieved to hear that.
“I thought maybe this was true, but it is nice to be sure,” he said.
You hummed in agreement and there was a short pause before he began again.
“So (y/n) then, I have to ask you something that is important to me… if you don’t mind.”
You were taken aback, immediately overthinking what it could possibly be.
“Oh, um, yes, sure, you may ask me anything.”
You bit your lip, and he cleared his throat.
“I want to know… what is one thing in a partner for you that you do not want? Like… something that would instantly make you say ‘no’ to that person?”
An easy question. You were relieved.
“Oh, like, a dealbreaker, you mean?”
Jin chuckled.
“Honestly I’m not sure the word in English. You say deal-dealbreaker?”
“Yep! It means exactly what you said, something that in no way would you ever compromise on in a significant other.”
“Ah yes, okay okay, what is your dealbreaker then?”
Taking a deep breath, you gathered your thoughts before you told him your answer.
“Well, my dealbreaker is… someone who is just incredibly shallow. Um, who doesn’t see beyond the surface of other people and only cares about their appearance and not who they are on the inside. That may seem obvious since I’m here doing this experiment, but I um, I’ve just had trouble dating and in relationships because of that.”
You winced at your absolute brutal honesty, unsure of how Jin was going to take it. Before he could respond, you reminded yourself if he no longer felt a connection with you because of it, or if it was a characteristic he possessed, then he wasn’t right for you.
Still, you felt anxious awaiting his reaction and possible follow-up questions.
“Ohhhwaaa, I think- I think I understand. Believing someone is a certain way because of how they look instead of getting to know them? Or only being with somebody because of what they are looking like?”
“Mhhmm, yes, both of those things. I don’t-ah, I don’t know, I don’t think that’s fair. Attraction is so much more than that. At least… that’s what I think.”
You laughed nervously.
“Yes, you are right, I understand,” Jin reassured, “sometimes, that happens to me, too, only interested in getting to know me because how I look, yes.”
Oh. Oh. So, the two of you had the opposite problem.
You couldn’t help but laugh at the irony.
“Why, why? Why do you laugh?” he questioned.
“Ah no, no reason, I’m just… surprised we have the same problem.”
Jin hummed.
“Ah okay, okay.”
Now of course you wanted to know his.
“So then, what is your dealbreaker, Seokjin?”
To be honest, you hoped it wasn’t something about you. You liked Jin a lot in this short time of knowing him, and you wanted to continue speaking to him.
“Mine? Mine is no honesty. Fake… fake personality,” he sounded incredibly serious for the first time, like this issue had hurt him to his core, “Someone who is trying to be with me for wrong reasons. Faking who they are inside to be with me. That… that is the one thing I cannot be with someone for.”
His answer shocked you, but you also wanted to understand where he was coming from.
“Oh, um, may I ask… if this is something you might have had issues with in.. in the past?”
He sighed.
“Yes. It is.”
You frowned; sad somebody would hurt him in that way.
“I’m sorry, Jin. Whatever their intentions were… you don’t deserve that.”
Jin hummed in agreement.
“Thank you, (y/n). That is why I chose to try this, so maybe… maybe somebody will fall in love with just me. Who I am, without wanting anything else from me.”
“So, you want someone genuine. In both who they are and in loving who you are.” You stated gently.
“Ahh yes, yes that is what I want. That is what I want more than anything else.”
You smiled at his vulnerability and honesty in knowing exactly what it was he desired. It was admirable.
This was the first moment where you truly felt like you were falling for Seokjin.

‘Is Love Truly Blind?’
Based off the Netflix reality show “Love Is Blind”.
pairing: Kim Seokjin x (female, chubby) reader
genre: Romance (Fluff+Angst)
chapter: 1/?
word count: 890
summary: you participate in an experiment to find love; the only catch being… you can’t see the person you’re falling in love with. So... will you find your perfect match sight unseen? Can someone capture your heart through only words? Will you be able to place full trust in your emotional instincts? And when you finally see them face-to-face, will they meet your expectations? All this begs the question… is love truly blind?
 -----------------------------------------
Chapter 1 // MEETING
“Participants, please enter your first pod.”
The voice over the loudspeaker spoke as you stared at the black door in front of  you. Your heart was pounding. You hands were shaking. Inhaling a deep breath, you stepped forward and turned the knob.
Immediately upon entering the room you noticed a sound-proofing effect; no longer able to hear any noises or voices from the outside. There were four walls adorned with a navy and gold wallpaper, and a dark green couch made of velvet situated in the middle. The couch was facing a large round window, clouded so heavily you couldn’t make out anything on the other side.
You stepped around to the front of the couch cautiously and cleared your throat before sitting down.
“H-hello?” you heard a man’s voice coming from the other side of the wall with the window, “is anyone there?”
You cleared your throat again, out of nerves for sure but also to make sure you could speak clearly.
“Oh, yes, hi,” you chuckled, “I’m here.”
He chuckled nervously, too.
“Hello! My name is Seokjin. May I ask what is your name?”
You took notice of an accent, you weren’t yet sure what kind though, and maybe a hint that English wasn’t his first language?
“H-hi, yes, my name is (y/n),” you scratched your head, “I’m sorry, you said your name was Sook-Sock..”
“Seokjin. Seok and Jin. Seokjin. But, you can just call me Jin.”
You nodded, fully aware he couldn’t actually see the action.
“Oh, okay, great. Jin then. Um, it’s nice to meet you.”
He paused.
“It’s nice to meet you, too, (y/n).”
You took a quiet deep breath in attempt to get your heart to stop racing.
“So, um, this is weird, right? This whole experience?” You laughed nervously.
You heard Jin chuckle.
“Yes, for sure. Very weird. It makes me… how to say… flustered? And nervous.”
You appreciated his instant honesty, and you were relieved to know it wasn’t just you feeling this way.
“Yes, me too,” you agreed, “So, um, what made you want to try something like this?”
Jin sighed and paused before answering.
“Ah just… no luck out there. These days I think it is harder to find someone, to know their true… inten-intentions? I think is the right word.”
You hummed in agreement.
“And soon I am 30 years old… I just think maybe it is time. I want- I want to find real love.”
You couldn’t deny the feeling of your heart melting at those words; at how relatable they were.
“I will be 30 relatively soon, too,” you told him, “so I completely understand where you’re coming from.”
“Ah really? Good, I am happy we have the same goal. We are so similar already. Wow. I bet no one else here wants that, too.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, a sarcastic sense of humor was something you always appreciated. You heard him chuckle on the other side.
You felt yourself relax a little bit.
“So Jin,” you sat back on the couch, draping an arm over one of the fluffy white pillows, “what do you do for a living?”
There was a silence and it made you wonder if he had even heard the question.
Just as you were about to repeat it, his voice came through.
“I am an entertainer.”
You raised your eyebrows.
“Oh really? What kind of entertaining?”
He cleared his throat.
“I’m a singer.”
You were impressed. Not many people could make a living off just singing.
“Oh wow, really? That’s cool! Do you, um, maybe have any songs I might know?”
He laughed nervously.
“Ah no, no, I don’t. Nothing special.”
You hummed in response, continuing with another question.
“And, um, where are you from, if I may ask?”
“Korea,” he replied instantly, “I am Korean.”
“Oh wow, Korea, okay. And do you… do you live there now?”
“Hmmm yes I live there. I came here just for this experiment. I really… I don’t know… I guess I am not so hopeful? It is a lot to ask someone to move to another country for a person they just met, right?” He laughed at himself, “Aiiish, what am I even doing here?”
You smiled at his moment of honesty and vulnerability.
“Hey, you never know, right?” you responded, shrugging, “Love is a powerful thing. That right person may be here for you and have no problem moving as long as they’re by your side.”
You winced at the cheesy-ness of your statement.
But Jin didn’t seem to notice.
Even though you couldn’t see him you just knew he had a smile on his face as he said,
“Yes, you are right. I might as well try. That person could be here… right under my nose…” he paused, “or, you know, on the other side of a wall.”
Then he burst into laughter, the sound of it exactly reminiscent of windshield wipers moving back and forth across the glass.
And you weren’t sure whether it was the joke or the sound of his laugh, but almost instantly you burst into laughter, too.

They Find Out About Your Original Bias - Hyung Line
——————————————
Namjoon: It was the first time your boyfriend had come over to your place. The relationship was relatively new so you were pretty nervous to have him there; showing someone your personal space opened up a whole new level of vulnerability. But you felt ready to show Namjoon, and it was actually going very well so far.
“And this is my bedroom.” You stated as you walked in and let him enter ahead of you.
He strolled around slowly with his hands behind his back, taking in every detail; his eagerness to learn everything there was to know about you evident.

When They Think You Like A Different Member
Omg so I’ve only written this for Suga (now Taehyung) so far but it ended up being a lot longer than I anticipated so I’m posting just his now. I have ideas for the other members in my head so please stay tuned!
Taehyung Reaction Seokjin Reaction
—————————————————
Yoongi: Of course it was Park Jimin. The thoughtful, pretty, graceful, adorable, ab-possessing Park Jimin. Why wouldn’t he be the one you liked? He was pretty much Yoongi’s opposite; always smiling, confident, sexy yet cute, not afraid to show his affection… which he was doing plenty of right now.

Insomnia - Yoongi
You woke up wrapped in all the blankets but still shivering. Instinctively you scooted over to be closer to your boyfriend and his radiating body warmth, but were surprised when instead you discovered just an empty space. You sat up and looked around the dark room, seeing nothing but gray shadows dancing across the walls; the clock on your bedside stand reading 3:12am and your boyfriend no where to be found.
Insomnia must have overcome him again.
You pulled off the covers and stood up, grabbing one of the blankets and wrapping it around your shoulders. Then you stepped into your slippers and headed to the bedroom door.
Immediately upon opening it you heard the soft tune of a piano playing. Of course, he was where he always is when he can’t sleep: his studio. You headed down the hallway towards the door where yellow light was pouring out the bottom and a beautiful melody was escaping through the cracks.
“Yoongi-ah?” you called out softly, knocking lightly on the door and cracking it open.
You had to squint your eyes at the sudden bright light but once they adjusted you were met with the exhausted yet handsome face of your Min Yoongi peering up at you.
“Hi jagi,” his low voice mumbled, “did I wake you?”
You shook your head.
“Not from playing, only because you weren’t next to me.”
He ran a hand through his messy black hair.
“I’m sorry…”
You stepped toward him and cupped his cheek in your hand, rubbing it tenderly with the pad of your thumb. He closed his eyes and leaned into your touch.
“You can’t sleep again?” you wondered softly.
He didn’t open his eyes as he shook his head.
“No. I have a lot on my mind.”
You ran your hand through his soft hair causing a low moan to emit from his throat.
“I’m so sorry, baby,” you paused, “what you’re working on sounds beautiful though.”
He opened his puffy dark brown eyes to look up at you.
“You think? I was just kind of playing nonsense but I ended up kind of liking it, too.”
You smiled down at him in adoration.
“Mmm my talented Yoongi-ah…. you never cease to amaze me.”
Then you unexpectedly let out a yawn, your droopy eyes falling shut slightly.
“Hey… come here, my (y/n).” Yoongi cooed, pulling you gently by the waist to have you sit on his lap.
You obliged, wrapping the blanket around you both while curling into his warm embrace and gripping onto his soft t-shirt. You gave in to your heavy eyelids’ desire to shut as Yoongi started playing the piano again, this time a softer and soothing, lullaby like tune.
“Mmmm if you keep playing that I might fall asleep,” you mumbled against his chest.
He kissed the top of your head gently and nuzzled his face into your hair.
“That’s ok, jagiya. Go to sleep,” he whispered delicately, “I promise I won’t go anywhere…”

When They Think You Like A Different Member
Whoa this ended up being way longer than I anticipated. Sorry!! I’ve written this for 3 other members too so far so go check those out! :)
——————————
Hoseok: “Hey (y/n)!” Namjoon called your name from across the room, “Do you mind helping me pick a pair of glasses to wear for the performance?”
You smiled widely.
“Be right there, Joonie!”
Hoseok watched as you said your goodbyes to him and Jungkook and got up from the couch the three of you had been squished together and chatting on.
Well thanks to Namjoon-ah I guess his time with you was over. He slumped further down in his spot and pulled out his phone.
“Hobi!”
However, hearing you call his name made him glance over at the two of you, “which pair do you think looks best on Joon?
Namjoon nodded.
“Ah yeah Hoba, you’re the best dresser in Bangtan, what do you think?”
Hoseok watched as his leader switched from glasses to glasses. Then he cocked his head and furrowed his eyebrows.
“Hm they all look good, Namjoon-ah,” he responded, realizing he wasn’t really in the mood to give much input.
Namjoon shrugged.
“Okay, I’ll just stick with (y/n)’s opinion, she always knows what makes me look most handsome.”
Namjoon turned back to you and said something that made you giggle. Hoseok just sighed and went back to his phone.
“She doesn’t like RM-hyung, you know.” Jungkook suddenly stated from next to him.
Hoseok couldn’t help but scoff.
“Yeah, right. They’re always together, he always wants her opinions… she’s always reminding him how handsome he is.”
Jungkook shook his head, his black bangs falling over his eyes.
“That’s cause she knows how insecure hyung can get. Really, they’re just friends, Hobi-hyung. He’s like a brother to her.”
J-hope stuffed his phone back in his pocket and rose from his spot on the couch.
“Ah whatever, it’s no problem, Jungkookie, I don’t care,” he straightened out his shiny blazer and flashed him a smile that was no where near authentic, “I’m going to finish getting ready for the performance.”
-
Many hours later you were getting ready to leave the HYBE building with the remaining members who were there for the evening, Jimin and Jungkook. You stopped in your tracks when you suddenly realized you were missing your keys.
“Crap, I think I left my keys in the practice room while you guys were getting ready for the performance. I have to go get them. I’ll meet you down in the parking garage, okay?”
Jimin cocked his head.
“You sure you don’t want us to come with you, noona? The building is a little creepy with no one else here.” he shuddered to emphasize his point.
You smiled at his sweet offer but shook your head.
“It’s okay. Ill be alright. Just give me a couple minutes and I’ll be right there.”
They nodded in understanding as you turned back in the direction you had come from.
Jimin was right, the building was creepy when no one else was around. Usually there were hundreds of staff members running around, taking on different tasks for the growing company. But it was eerie and quiet this time of night. Too quiet.
However, as soon as you exited the elevator on the floor with the room you left your keys in, you heard the sound of hip-hop music blaring down the hallway. Creepy. Really creepy. You thought no one else was here?
As you slowly moved closer and closer to the door, the music got much louder and clearer. With hesitation, you turned the knob and opened the door.
Upon entering you saw none other than Jung Hoseok, freestyle dancing to the song that was blasting through the large speakers. His small but muscular frame was covered in an oversized tan shirt and olive covered pants, a news boy cap covering his bleach blonde hair. He hadn’t noticed you come in, so you stood there for a moment watching his graceful yet rhythmic dance moves in the mirrors, appreciating the way his limbs and torso could move in ways you couldn’t even imagine. He was so talented and beautiful while in his element, this being the reason you fell for him the first time you ever saw him dancing. Butterflies formed in your stomach.
“Oh SHIT!” Hoseok’s sudden exclamation broke you out of your trance, the man clutching his hand to his sweat-covered chest.
He then jogged over to the computer and paused the music, looking towards you.
“Aisshh, (y/n), you scared the shit out of me.”
You scratched the back of your head and blushed.
“Sorry… I-I didn’t know anyone was in here. I thought you went back to the dorm earlier with the other guys.”
He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair, the sweat causing his bangs to stick up straight. His chest was rising and falling rapidly from his strenuous dancing.
“No, I’m still here. What are you doing here?”
You peered around the room, recalling suddenly why you were here in the first place.
“I accidentally left my - ah, there they are - keys up here earlier.”
You walked over to the table where the computer sat to retrieve what you had been searching for and held them up to show Hoseok.
“Ahh okay okay.”
There was a pause as you both just stared at the wooden floor. It wasn’t often the two of you were completely alone so you instantly felt shy and flustered. Then you looked up into his bare face and dark brown eyes.
He was so handsome.
“You, um, look great… uh, dancing! You’re dancing is so good, you… look good.”
Real smooth. You internally rolled your eyes at yourself.
“Ah well… thank you.” He chuckled awkwardly. He always had been bad at taking compliments.
“I wish I could dance like that,” you admitted to him.
He perked his eyes up in surprise, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
“You can! It just takes practice. Here,” he wrapped his long arm around the back of your shoulders. You blushed at the feeling of his warm side pressed against yours.
He gently scooted you to the middle of the dance floor and let go of you. Immediately you missed his radiating warmth against you. He took a spot next to you and shook out his arms and stretched his neck. Then he grinned widely at you.
“Want to learn a short routine?” he asked.
You nodded eagerly.
How could you say no when one of the best dancers on the charts right now was willing to teach you??
“Okay, start like this-five, six, seven, eight.“
He showed you various moves, having you copy everything he was doing. Occasionally you would mess up and feel embarrassed, but he was quick to tell you how great you were doing. The two of you laughed endlessly; it was easy to be silly and happy around him, your adoration for him only getting stronger.
After about ten minutes of repeatedly going over it he said,
“Alright, (y/n)-ah, you ready for the final run-through before we try it with music?”
You took a deep breath and nodded.
“I think so.”
“You got this! Fighting!” He gave you a thumbs up, “Okaaaay ready, five, six, seven, eight!”
You watched the two of you in the mirror, nailing every step in synchronization, a big grin on both your faces.
But all of a sudden you forgot the correct move and you turned and stepped to the right, while Hoseok turned and stepped to the left. Your legs twisted and your bodies crashed into each other with such force you thought you might trip and fall. You let out a small yelp but then felt hands grab your waist and keep you upright.
“Shit, shit, are you okay, (y/n)?” Hoseok’s worried voice questioned.
You were fine, just mortified from messing up and running into him.
“Yes, I’m sorry, I’m fine, sorry for going the wrong way I-“
But you stopped mid-sentence when you looked up and realized how close his face was to yours. You could feel his heavy breathing on your cheek, see the beads of sweat at his hairline.
He smiled at you sweetly, dimples forming at the sides of his mouth.
“It’s okay, you did great. I think you’re a better dancer than me now.”
You scoffed and rolled your eyes, unmoving from where he had you held.
“Oh please.”
You both chuckled lightly and then just stood there staring at each other.
Your heart was pounding against your chest from the closeness and the dancing, the feeling of his strong hands still holding your waist making your skin hot. You swear you see him glance down at your lips briefly which encouraged you to move your face closer to his, but then he dropped his hands abruptly and backed away from you. He put his face in his hands.
“Fuck, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, disappointment washing over you.
“Sorry? Sorry for what?” You questioned.
Hoseok shook his head.
“Ahh shit I can’t do that to you and Namjoon-ah.”
Okay now you were really confused.
“What-what about me and Namjoon?”
He looks back at you and cocks his head, a frown evident on his face.
“You two… like each other, no?”
At this you cannot help but laugh, throwing your head back.
“Like each other? Gross, Joon is like a brother to me!”
A grin formed on Hoseok’s face at your response. He really had to start listening to his maknae more.
He looked awkwardly at the floor and scratched the back of his neck.
“Ah I really thought you two had a thing…”
You shook your head gently, swallowing hard at what you were about to say next.
“Hmmm no, no I actually… have a thing for a different Bangtan member…” his head perked up at that, “and I hope he maybe feels the same way?”
Hoseok caught on instantly, the largest heart-shaped smile you’ve ever seen appear on his face. He bound swiftly towards you and wrapped his hand around the back of your neck, pulling your lips to his. You sighed into the kiss and wrapped your arms around his thin waist, pushing your bodies fully against each other.
“YAH what the HELL?!”
You broke apart when you were interrupted by someone who had entered the room.
A shocked looking Jimin and Jungkook stood in the doorway. Jimin threw his hands up in the air dramatically.
“We were so WORRIED about you, (y/n)-ah, thought you had been kidnapped or something, but you’re just up here making out with Hobi-hyung?! Aiishhh!”
You laughed bashfully and muttered a quiet apology.
He turned Jungkook back towards the door and shook his head.
“Let’s go Jungkook-ah, leave these lovebirds alone.”
You and J-hope exchanged coy glances.
The other two boys left but before they got too far you heard Jimin yell,
“Be sure to use protection!”

hiii I love your writing! It’s so good! So I was wondering if you could write one with Jin (he’s my bias, I love him 🥺) where y/n and him are in a LDR and it’s hard and she thinks he’s going to break up with her but it has a happy ending? They work it out somehow? I am an international army and think this would be so sweet. Thank you! xxx ^^
The Inevitable - Seokjin
Ahh I loved this request! Thank you! Hope you enjoy :)
————————————————
You sighed as yet another call to your boyfriend lead straight to his voicemail. Despite the fact that you both had agreed on this time of day to call, he didn’t answer. You knew he had work today, probably finishing around 7pm as usual, but the time difference was killer for your relationship. You were on your way to work yourself; busy at your job for a solid 8-10 hours after that. Lately Seokjin had been going to the studio in the afternoons, sometimes staying as late as 12 or 1am, then crashing immediately when he got back home. He was busy, you were busy, and it was proving more difficult to find time for each other.
Long distance really sucked.
As you pulled into the parking lot of your work building, your phone’s FaceTime ringer went off.
“Hey, jagiya.” A tired looking Seokjin appeared on your screen as you accepted the call.
“Hi.” You responded curtly, turning off your car.
“How are you today?” he asked.
“I’m fine.”
He instantly noticed your short replies and sullen facial expression.
“What’s wrong, jagi?”
You couldn’t help but notice his tone sounded more annoyed than concerned.
You rolled your eyes.
“We were supposed to talk half an hour ago, Jin. I have to go into work now.”
Did you sound needy and dramatic? Maybe. But this was how it had been so often recently. You couldn’t even recall the last time the two of you spoke for more than 5 minutes.
He sighed and ran a hand through his dark black hair.
“I know, (y/n), but what do you want me to do? Practice went over again. I can’t exactly stop everyone else just to call my girlfriend.”
His words stung; making you sound so unimportant. You know he didn’t mean it like that, but you still didn’t like to hear it.
“I know you can’t, Jin. I would never ask that of you.”
He continued,
“It’s not easy. I have six other people that rely on me, and all the staff. I can’t just ask to get away randomly. It’s a lot harder for me than you. I’m important.”
You scoffed and rolled your eyes again.
“I know, Jin, you’re an idol, you’re in the biggest band in world right now, the show can’t go on without you. The world revolves around Kim Seokjin.”
You cringed internally after those words slipped out.
Jin shut his eyes tightly and put a pair of crooked fingers to the bridge of his nose.
“That’s not what I meant, (y/n), come on.”
You let out a deep breath and stared into his chocolate brown eyes. They looked sad and defeated.
“I know. I’m sorry.” you paused then went on softly, “I just feel like this time difference has really been messing with us the past few months. We’re both busy.”
Jin rested his head in his palm.
“Yeah.”
Then his head shot back up.
“Hey, maybe you can come visit soon! I’ll have some time off in a few weeks.”
You frowned and shook your head at him, glancing over at your workplace.
“I can’t just take random vacations. I have a job too, you know.”
He cocked his head.
“Yeah, a job you hate,” he retaliated.
You furrowed your eyebrows at him.
“So not the point, Jin.”
All of a sudden you heard a door open and close on Jin’s end of the call.
“Jin-hyung! There you are!”
You immediately recognized the cheerful voice of Jung Hoseok.
“Oh, are you on the phone? Who is it? Is it (y/n)?”
His wide heart-shaped smile and bleach blonde hair popped into view from the side of your screen next to Jin. He waved at you.
“Hiiiii (y/n)-ah!!!! We miss you so much!”
You grinned at sweet j-hope.
“Hi Hoba. I miss you guys, too.”
“Come visit soon, okay??”
You nodded.
“I promise.”
“Did you need something from me, j-hope-ssi?” Jin spoke in Korean to his fellow member.
“We have dinner with Bang PD in a few minutes, I came to get you. The other members are waiting.”
Jin threw his head back.
“Aiiishh, I forgot that was today.”
You watched as more people shuffled into your work building.
“I have to go into work now anyway. Have a good dinner with your boss.”
Jin looked back down at you.
“And have a good day at work. We… will talk later, okay?”
You nodded.
“Okay.”
He gave you a small smike.
“Bye, jagiya.”
You smiled back weakly.
“Bye, Jin. I love y-“
But before you could finish, his face disappeared and all you heard were the beeps of the call ending.
~
Later that night the sound of your phone ringing woke you up from a deep slumber. You groaned and picked it up off your nightstand to see who was calling at such an ungodly hour.
It was Jin.
You sat up and turned on the lamp next to your bed. It took a few seconds for your eyes to adjust to the change in lighting. The clock read 2:24am.
“Jin?” you croaked out, your voice raspy from sleep.
“(Y/n)… I’m sorry to call so late.”
You yawned.
“Is everything okay?”
Jin hesitated.
“Yes. Well, no. Not exactly. We need… to talk.”
Immediately your heart started pounding in your chest, you breathing getting more rapid. You swung your legs over the edge of your bed. You felt wide awake now.
You knew this was it. You couldn’t say you didn’t see this coming. It had been weird between you two lately, you both knew this. A break up was inevitable.
Still, you weren’t ready. Couldn’t you at least try to work it out? You loved Jin. Didn’t he love you, too?
Your mind was already going a mile a minute.
“O-okay.” You squeaked out.
Jin sighed.
“This is hard. Us being apart.”
Tears started to prick the corner of yours eyes.
“Mmhmm” was all you could muster out.
Jin went on,
“I’ve been thinking of how to fix it, make it easier on us so there isn’t so much stress from not being in the same place.”
“And?”
“I thought and thought… coming up with no answers.”
You held your breath, hot tears falling down your cheeks now.
He sighed again.
“There seemed to be only one solution.”
You were full on crying now, little sobs escaping your chest.
“Jinnie…” you whimpered, grabbing your pillow and holding it to your chest.
“(Y/n)… I think… you should move here. With me.”
WHAT.
You instantly stopped crying.
“Wait… what?”
“Jagiya, hear me out before you say no! Just imagine, we could come home to each other everyday, I can cook you sooo many dinners, we would see each other all the time… no more trying to figure out times to talk! And I could hold you every single day. And I know you don’t like your job, so this would give you the opportunity to find something else here that you love, or not, I don’t mind supporting you, I just… I need you here.”
You burst into tears again, tiredness mixed with this emotional roller coaster taking over.
“(Y/n)-ah? Are you crying? Wh-why are you crying?”
“Jin!” you exclaimed, throwing your free hand in the air, “I thought you were breaking up with me!”
You couldn’t see him, but you could tell both his eyes and mouth widened in shock.
“What?? Shit, Jagi, no! I’m trying to do the opposite! I want you closer to me! Did you really think that’s why I was calling??”
You nodded even though you knew he couldn’t see you.
“Yes. I was terrified, Jinnie.”
Jin inhaled a deep breath.
“I’m sorry. But why would you think that? Do you-do you want to break up?”
You heard the worry in his tone.
“No! No not at all,” you quickly reassured, “it’s just… our conversations have been so short lately and I feel like I annoy you sometimes and-and you didn’t… say I love you after our call earlier today…”you mumbled the last part, slightly ashamed you knew now it was probably just something you were overthinking.
“Aiishh, no, I didn’t say it because Hoba was in the room. You know I’m weird about that stuff. I’m… bad at being cheesy and I get embarrassed easily.”
Relief washed over you.
“And you don’t annoy me. I think our lack of being able to talk a lot has been annoying me. I miss you, (y/n).”
You sniffled.
“I miss you, too Seokjinnie.”
“Which is why I asked you to move here!” He suddenly exclaimed, “So we can be with each other all the time! I know, you have your job and your family and everything, and I know I’m asking a lot I just thought-“
“Jinnie,” you interrupted him, smiling.
“Yeah?”
“Yes.”
“Yes?”
“Yes. I want to. I want to move to Korea. To be with you.”
“Ohwaaa, really?”
You stood up from your bed out of excitement.
“Yes! I’m tired of this, too. No more scheduling calls or short conversations. I miss you, I want to be with you together, in the same place. And I am miserable at my job, you’re right. It’s not worth it anymore. Being with you will be worth it. And I can start a new career there. I’ll figure it out.” you took in a deep breath, “is this… for real, Jinnie?”
You could hear his smile as he spoke.
“It’s real, jagi. Yah I’m so happy. I love you.”
Your face hurt from smiling.
“And I love you, Jin.”
Then you paused and looked around your room.
“Sooo is it too early to start packing?”

Do you truly think the members of BTS are good people?
Yes!!! They’re human beings so I’m sure they have days where they’re cranky or agitated but I think there’s enough video and other media evidence to assume they are decent humans :)
