I am Giorgia Perchiazzi, singer🎤, musician🎼, student at UWS 👩🏻🏫
Here you will find all the creative process of writing the new song for the MIB exam.
For greater clarity I will specify here at the top that the last post you will see published will be the end of the work, while scrolling at the end of the page there you will find the beginning of the whole creative process.
HAVE A GOOD TRIP AND SEE YOU SOON FOR OTHER CONTENT🔝🥰

I am really excited about this new work, this new song, and especially about this new collaboration that was born with Fabio. 😊🥳✨
We plan to continue to work together on our personal projects!!!!
Soon on this blog, maybe, for other creative processes to tell!!! 🥰🥰
In the last part of our last meeting, Fabio and I focused very much on recording the voices and making the track play at its best by adjusting small details. We harmonized the voices and dubbed them to take back the sound we had in mind. 😍
.... we entered the studio with the sunlight and we went out with the dark... 😩😩pffffff that fatigue!!!!
The song seemed very nice to me but I felt like something was missing. We talked with Fabio in previous meetings to add a SPOKEN part, possibly male, before the special.
So....🥁🥁🥁🥁 I decided at this point to involve another colleague of course, Luca Varriale, to whom I asked to send me vocal rec via whatsapp where "recited" some phrases in a very tensive way. 💥 So I proposed to Fabio to record in my condenser microphone the audio that came out directly from my phone because it seemed to resonate just as I imagined............
After a week we met again, with the base almost complete and we tried to record the voices better, but we were not much because I had a strong cold (NOT COVID-19, that I already got it in December🤯) and a lot of headaches.😩
Taking advantage of this we focused on understanding well some dynamic details of the base and Fabio focusing on some very specific technical parts
we also tried to understand how to make the voice resonate within the song and how it was better to bring it out🎤👨🏻💻
We did a picture of the situation also trying to decide where to actually insert the part of the sound design that recalls the disappearance of the child (it was decided to include it in the special) and trying to understand which sounds could work best, whether to add effects to the track, whether to add tools or remove something from the project. 💡💡🔝
Fabio after hearing the demo, and after explaining to him which direction I wanted to give to the song, sent me already revisions.... WOOOW.... because of this historical period we felt very much about Chat and video calling.... but not living very far away we also had more opportunities to meet.... !!!! Fortunately⚡️⚡️
🎤🎤 I recorded my vocal idea, always super critical and discarding most of the takes because none could convince me.... and I was almost nervous to have written such an emotional text 🤯😫😩
I and ISA (microphone preamplifier) have become very much friends, after a series of "tips for use" 🤬🤣
🎼🎼 inspired by the melody that I had in mind, I wrote a text in English and with the supervision of a friend Davide, who studies foreign languages, we corrected some grammatical errors (he can do a thousand things, he studies Chinese and he’s so cute when he tries to play guitar 😊 ... and above all he has a great fortune: HE IS MY BEST FRIEND eheheh 🤪)
... I’m actually quite lucky, I’m surrounded by super helpful friends ahahahahahahahhaha
during all my experimentation I have always tried to record everything with Ableton so as not to forget anything✨✨💪🏻
🧩💡(I HAD TO BROWSE LIBRARIES ON LIBRARIES FOR SOME SOUNDS, IN FACT BEFORE I USED THE PROGRAM ONLY TO MAKE RECORDINGS "TEST" PFFF THAT I WORK)🧩💡
THE MINILOGUE....😍😍
YES BUT...... HOW DOES IT WORK?🤣🤯🤯
It took me a long time to understand and I still don’t think I fully understood.... In the meantime while I’m experimenting, what you’re feeling is the best lap I’ve been able to create
I guess we’ll take that for granted😎
