Radfems are the type of people who give me a certain ick. The way they try to be "progressive" using terms like gender critical or word things a certain way even though they're using eugenic rhetoric is really disturbing as an Agender hypersexual person.

Radfems are feminist until you mention they're men and enby feminists

Radfems are feminist until a woman wants to be a sex worker. Or is hypersexual

Radfems are feminist until they meet a trans, intersex, or nonbinary person

Radfems are feminist until you mention that men aren't just "primitive" and can suffer from the patriarchy as well.

Feminism includes EVERYBODY, and portraying it as anything other than that leads to an unequal society.

The 2024 Gender Census is now open!

The 11th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th June 2024.

It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful - it’s what helped us get 40,000 responses last year.

Also, after listening to Hind's Hall, I was in tears the whole time. The way Macklemore has conveyed his anger with Israeli's genocide is amazing. It's probably his best song from his discography, 10/10.

Today, on May 5th, 2024, is Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two Spirit Awareness Day. There's a crisis in the US and Canada of Indigenous People being murdered and raped. This has been going on for centuries now, and it has gone unnoticed, both offline and online.

MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women) is a human rights crisis of violence against Indigenous women in Canada and the United States

Quick facts:

4 of 5 Native women will experience violence

1/3 of Native women will experience sexual violence (and over 2/3 of that is committed by non-natives)

Murder is our 3rd leading cause of death

On some reservations MMIWG2S are murdered at 10x the national average rate

In general native women and girls are raped at twice the average national rate

According to a report by USA today, native women also go missing at the twice average national rate

Nearly all rapes are perpetuated by off reservations settlers who also face no legal repercussions (legal loopholes state you must be on tribal ground to be persecuted by tribal police and most don't stick sround)

Less than 1% of MMIW cases are logged

It's been awhile since I've since Ive posted about this, but it's a very important topic and one that's especially important to me right now.

Some of you following me have all the context clues but I'll say it plainly here on this post. My cousin is one of the many MMIW that have died awful deaths. I myself am one of the natives who've experiences violence and sexual violence. The article is right. I don't know a native who hasn't. And that shouldn't have to be our reality.

But it doesn't change without more support and we don't get support by keeping people in the dark. Unfortunately resources are directly tied to public interest in an issue. The actual MMIW site for example says it's on hiatus when you go to the resource section.

So please share this so that someone else can learn and become an ally to the cause. The way people treat native women, girls, and two spirits is awful and deserves more attention than it's getting.

May 5th is MMIW awareness day; please wear red, share our posts, schedule a vigil, make your own graphics/posts in support, etc. Make some time to show you care that day.

Just don't use the red hand over your mouth, this is representative of the violent silence MMIW are forced to keep in their graves and how those of us alive must speak for them. Its a heavy symbol that carries responsibility so it's best left alone if you aren't indigenous.

Lesbophobia, like other types of Bigotry, has to have an active attempt to harm the communities it's targeting. It's fundamentally mean-spirited.

Lesboys aren't a fundamentally mean-spirited concept, and never were. The purpose of the term "Lesboy", was to be used by people who have a complex relationship with masculinity and lesbianism.

Misconceptions like these are how we get comments like these;

People like to think that transmasc/transfemme = Trans Men/Trans Woman. Which isn't the case by a long shot. Transmasc/Transfemme are umbrella terms. Just because I want to/already have dressed masculine doesn't mean I'm transmasc, nor does it mean I'm a man (Clarification, I'm fine with being called one, I don't like people treating me as one.). I identify as a Butch and an Ox (Genderless people who subvert masculinity), but not everyone's gonna be comfortable with those labels, that's why Lesboys exist.
