currently crying as I'm writing this but uh I reeeaallyy wonder when people are gonna decide to leave us lesbians with unconventional gender identities alone. please leave the teenage bigender lesbian alone. they're a young girl in high school who likes other girls whom their mother will never accept and has to hide their relationships, and forever hide their heartache after they fail. please leave the transmasc lesbian alone. people will whisper behind his back about how much of a tranny he is while expressing disgust when he holds hands with a girl. please leave the nonbinary lesbian or just transfem lesbian alone whom is too masc or man-leaning for your taste, whether that be because they're amab or a nonbinary guy, they're trying super hard just to live and can barely pass and is forced to hide or else people will accuse them of invading spaces or being a predator. I know you won't ever see us as deserving of the lesbian label- no matter how much we present like a cis girl or how much we've been discriminated against for our attraction, from my experience- but we're just trying to make it by too. I'm tired of just trying to convince people I'm allowed to exist. not be in spaces, be in communities, exist. please leave me alone. please leave trans lesbians alone.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also made a saphboy flag!
I have other pride flags I've made (even for terms I coined) but they aren't really related to being lesbian/sapphic + boy so im not gonna put those in this post
[also, if anyone could help with adding image IDs, or helping me add them to my images that would be nice, thank you]

*I didn't include the Labyrs or Lipstick Lesbian variants on this poll bc I know they're commonly used by TERFs and don't want to attract them to a post about which flags most liked to be used. That being said, using them doesn't make someone a TERF and feel free to include them under other.

tw homophobia transphobia lesbophobia
i posted this thread yesterday on twitter because there was so much lesboy hate on a term i coined, so i just wanted to explain what a lesboy is right.
you can already see the ratio on it. hundereds upon hundereds of quotes who mostly, did not even read the thread. they all started insisting i, a nonbinary lesbian, was a straight man for educating people on lesboys and identifying as one. i made a joke about someone calling me straight by showing my cutesy fem outfits, and people continued to say i had internalized transphobia because.. im a rosboy? i specified it was a joke abt myself and ik fem straight guys exist, but the amount of people trying to force the straight label oh me is disgusting. we have so much to work on as a community. it is so sad to see this much hate from my own community of people over a damn label. you cant claim we can do whatever we want with gender because its a construct without breaking down the fact sexuality is also a construct that reinforces gender roles.

Another post because this has been on my mind for a while.
Don't get me wrong I love you femme4femmes, and I love seeing femmes together in media. But I think femme x femme relationships are probably the most commonly seen in media (which is not bad at all, in fact there should be more lesbian relationships in media since its genuinely hard to find), especially where they're both white, skinny, able-bodied cis women.
But where are the butches? The gnc lesbians? Hairy lesbians? Fat lesbians? POC lesbians? Disabled lesbians? Femme x butch relationships and butch x butch relationships? Transmasc and transmen lesbians? Transfem and transwoman lesbians? Buff lesbians? Lesbians on testosterone? Amab lesbians? Intersex lesbians? Multigender lesbians? Femme lesbians who don't necessarily fit the standard people have for feminine people?
Disclaimer: This is in no way trying to put down femme lesbians, I'm a femme lesbian myself! And as I said before the femme x femme relationships that are in media are great and there needs to be more lesbian relationships in media in general; this is just about how I wish to see all lesbians represented in media.

people need to realize that dissolving the lines between gender also means dissolving the lines between sexuality. you cannot say gender is fake and then say sexuality is strict and rigid.
there are multigender/genderfluid people who are lesbians and gay men at the same time. there are mspec lesbians/gays/straights who have a complex relationship with gender and their sexuality. there are gay men who are women and lesbians who are men because male isn't the opposite of female.
"conflicting" labels are a part of many people's queer experience, because the human experience isnt simple enough to be put into neat perfect categories. if you truly support trans/genderqueer people, you need to accept the fact that gender and sexuality is complex and there will be people whose identities you don't understand

i'm regularly astounded by the cognitive dissonance some of yall have to accept that gender is a social construct with infinite possibilities with the capacity to be deeply personal and individual but still think there's a list of like 4 acceptable sexual orientations and if you go outside of that list or mix entries on that list or relate to them in a non-traditional way not only are you Breaking The Rules you're personally directly harming people who follow them
