It's been a hard couple of weeks for me. I'm burning out, but people pleasing is winning. I have a week left before an actual weekend. So today I decided that doing some origami would be more important than getting to work early. I love this fold and decided to use some "actual" origami paper because it's pretty and just collecting dust. I'm glad I did.
So BFF's Dad went hare hunting. Not the right terms but the kind will dox my state so meh. He shot a hare and did the gut the kill thing. As he started to store the meat, the gut pile moved. After the jump scare of moving gut pile, he looked in the pile and there was A BABY! He kept it warm, took it home, and raised it.
He named it Winchester...after the rifle that killed it's mom.
Geese are jerks. The Ultimate Avian Assholes™️ . THEY wake up thinking about how to cause choas. THEY started the beef. Boomer did nothing. He is as innocent as Sherbert is.
Please update us on the schenanigans of Orange Sherbert, Innocent of All Crimes, and his brother Liver, Who Could Surely Survive on the Streets. Also, has Boomer, who might actually be innocent of all crimes.
Sherbs has started collecting boys in our neighborhood. He knows how to wriggle out under the garage and waltzes around the neighborhood and comes back to our home with anywhere from 1-4 young boys just following him? I think he’s building an army.
Oliver has become an outdoor cat and by outdoor cat I mean he moves from sleeping on the couch to sleeping on the back deck to sleeping on the couch to sleeping on the back deck. He still dislikes most of us.
Boomer used to go on my morning walks with me before he started beef with the geese which means now I have beef with the geese and now boomer is no longer invited on walks in the morning.
We toss out over 80 pounds of textiles each year. These textiles are often made of plastic materials (polyester, nylon), made in unethical conditions, dyed with harsh dyes that often get put into the rivers, etc. Even a single cotton shirt releases carbon emissions and uses tons of water.
So the best thing to prevent the unsustainable growth of the fashion industry is to make sure that your clothing lasts as long as possible. To do so, mending clothing is a must. So here are some resources to help you learn how to do various things, such as sewing a button, to tailoring clothes, or even upcycling old clothing into new styles.
* How to sew on three different types of button
* How to hand sew on a patch on a torn pair of jeans
* How to sew up a hole in an old shirt
* How to sew a simple T-shirt
* How to upcycle old clothing into new clothing
* More upcycle and sewing techniques
* How to repair a damaged sock
* How to do an invisible stitch
* 3 different stitches to work with for different results
* How to make a T-shirt smaller so it fits you better
* How to make repairs to your shoes
These are just a few of the things that you can do in order to make sure that your clothing lasts for a long time. Nobody wants to keep buying new clothing, as it is expensive and wasteful.
So making alterations to your clothing, or fixing small holes hen you see them can be hugely beneficial to your wallet, to garment workers, and to the environment in the long term.
So this came across my dash as this video starts playing:

And yeah...if I wasn't sick man...
if you can’t eat a whole meal, eat half. you ate, that’s what is important.
if you can’t get out of bed, try and sit up instead of lying down. it’ll be better for your back and your blood pressure.
if you can’t shower or have a bath today, try and brush your teeth and clean your ears. it’ll keep you a little cleaner, and we often forget those areas.
if you can’t get dressed today, change underwear and use some deoderant. it’ll leave you a little fresher until you have the strength to change fully.
and remember, i’m very proud of you. your best will look different every day, and that’s okay.
