I was thinking about Will and Nico probably going to Tartarus in the next book and I thought that Will won't just be a "moral support" for Nico. So, what if he could literally give him a hand? Imagine how cool it would be if, in Tartarus, the darkest place of all, Will could literally be a guiding light for Nico? helping and supporting him. and so I imagined this scene and now I can't think of anything else and I hope something like that happens!

it's time to validate will's trauma. he has it too. he was a 12 year old boy who lost both of his brothers and was thrust into a leadership role during two wars, and y'all still act like he's the perfect sunshine boy who's constantly happy go lucky

Will lost his older brother in battle, Percy was the one who caused the bridge collapse that killed him, and they couldn't find his body...

Nico lost his older sister while she was on a quest, Percy promised to try his best to protect her, and they couldn't find her body..

So Percy thinks they both hate him bc of this, and imagine when he comes to camp & sees Nico and Will together and he's like "I thought you guys were JOKING about making a 'Percy couldn't find our older siblings bodies' club - oh wait your dating???"

i want to talk about the healthiest relationship in the riordanverse. and no, it is not percabeth. i'm talking about solangelo.

nico and will have such a beautiful dynamic, and i love the way they compliment each other in the best ways. first off, their personalities are so very different (i mean, will is literal sunshine and nico is the ghost king), but yet, they both possess this overwhelming kindness and care towards others. i think both will and nico have such a huge capacity of love, while also both harboring such huge holes in their hearts due to the trauma they both experienced. in finding one another, they found someone to share their love with, and you better believe they basically pour constant love out to one another.

another thing that is just so beautiful about them is the way they care for one another. will is the one to convince nico to stay at camp and to let himself be taken care of for once, and you better believe that nico is the one who teaches will that he doesn't have to be all sunshine and rainbows all the time in order to be loved. they love one another as they are, with no strings attached.

they share so many life experiences as well, and I'm sure bonding over those has been big in their development. they both lost older siblings in the war, and i'm sure they must both harbor a bit of resentment towards percy for "allowing" their siblings to die, but that's just one more thing for them to work through.

i don't see how anyone could say there's a relationship as healthy as theirs. they truly are each others soulmates, and they give one another the happiness they both deserve.
