It was stupid you made a silly remark on how girls were tripping over their own feet after seeing Trent. At first, he laughed about it, but as soon as you got home, he changed completely, and now you were stuck in the middle of a fight that was stupid and didn't need to be happening

“I don't even know why you are so angry. It was a little joke,” you shouted back at him as he scoffed. “You know exactly what you have been doing. You get so possessive and controlling over anything I do. You must stop blaming girls within a 5-meter radius of being in love with me.”

You shook your head. “I'm not being possessive or controlling. It's true, Trent. Everywhere we go, girls are drooling over you, and you barely pay any attention to me. It hurts, you know to be thrown to the side as I watch girls touch up on you, and you act like nothing is happening!” you felt tears burning in your eyes you could just curl into a ball

“Maybe if you didn't need attention 24/7 like a lost puppy, I wouldn't act like this, and you expect me to stand next to you when you look likeninjsut picked you up off the street for about 20 pounds an hour.” you stared at him in disbelief no fucking way he just compared you to a prostitute

“Fuck you, and we're done.” before he could say anything else, you grabbed your bag and keys and walked straight to your car, getting in and driving away without looking back. You couldn't believe he'd say that to you after your four years together. A fight has never been that bad

You got to your sister's house it was around 12:30 when you got there so you were sure she wasn't awake but you needed to stay somewhere and she was the only place close you walked up to the door ringing the door bell twice after a minute you heard the door unlocking to see a very sleepy personnstood at the door it wasn't your sister it was her boyfriend

“Is y/s/n here?” he nodded, and after seeing your state, he let you in. If anyone had seen your state, they would think you were pissed out of your mind, the mascara all over your face, bloodshot eyes from the crying, and your hair wasn't straight anymore. It was frizzy

“She's upstairs in bed. She's awake, though. I'll sit down here till you want me to come up.” you rubbed your back slightly before going to sit on the sofa. You made your way up the stairs and walked into your sister's room. She lifted her head from her phone, and as soon as she saw you, she sat up and wrapped her arms around you.

You stayed like that for a few minutes before she stood up to get some makeup wipes for you to wipe your face. “What happened?” she sat in front of you handing you the wipes

You told her starting from when you were out to when you left the house she gave you another hug telling you that you can sleep in her spear bedroom

It had been two days since your and Trent's argument, and you were starting to feel a little better, but you needed him back. You had barely slept because you couldn't without him there.

You heard a knock on the front door. You were about to stand up, but your sister beat you to it and walked towards the door, which you couldn’t see from the living room. You heard someone come in thinking nothing about it since her friends came over a lot

Your sister walked in, giving you a look, and then Trent followed. You felt relieved to see him, but you were still hurt by what he said to you. He smiled slightly at you before asking if you guys could talk. You nodded, and your sister left the room to go upstairs to give you both space to talk.

“I'm just going to say this now before you say anything. Whatever I said to you that night was wrong, and I know I'm so sorry. I didn't mean any of it. I shouldn't have gotten angry at you, either. You were telling me how you feel, and as your boyfriend, I should always listen to you.” he stopped for a few seconds before continuing. “I'm not saying you must forgive me yet, but please just come home. I can't sleep knowing you're angry at me and also knowing you're just not with me, so please just come home.”

He looked down while waiting for you to respond. You didn't know what to say. You knew you wanted to forgive him, but you didn't know how or what to say

“I forgive you, but it still hurts Trent. Hearing the words come out of your mouth hurts a lot. I knew you didn't mean it straight away, but at the time, it was heated, and I shouldn't have dragged it out. This isn't just your fault I'll come home but I need to get my stuff ready okay?” you looked up at him to see him staring at you

You stood up to go get your bag but your sister was already holding it at the door. “Wow, you really must want to get rid of me!” you both laughed as Trent grabbed your bag for you and took it to your car as you were putting your shoes on he came back in

He gave you a hug you felt comforted again. God, had you missed this, you looked up at him, going on your tiptoes to kiss him before sinking back down and laying your head on his chest again. “I'm sorry I hurt you,” he said lowly. You lifted your head and looked up at him. “I forgive you.” he leaned it, connecting your lips again, and for the first time in 3 days, you felt comfort knowing you were back in his arms and that he was still yours.

Erling had been your best friend since you were in primary school; you can't remember the last time you guys did anything without each other, but over the past few years, you had developed feelings for him. You had always kept them a secret only your best friend knew about them

You thought he didn't feel the same way but what you didn't know was that he did and had since you guys were younger

Y/n POV

I was sitting at my dressing table putting on my makeup when I heard my phone ringing. I picked it up, and it was Erling calling me the nickname “Erlman.” immediately telling me who it was, I picked up to hear his soft voice

“I'll be at yours in 15 minutes are you gonna be ready or do you need another 3 hours?” he said the last bit sarcastically. “Shut up I'll be ready in 10 minutes.” I laughed slightly as I heard him closing a door obviously leaving his house or getting into his car

“Okay I'll see you in 10 minutes then.” you could hear the smile in his voice you could tell that smile from miles away. “Okay bye.” You dragged out the y before hanging up and finishing off your makeup

Just as you finished you heard your doorbell rings you made your way downstairs and opened the door before going to grab yours shoes so he could just come in himself you grabbed your shoes and walking around the corner to the door

Erling was stood reading something on his phone. “You ready to go?” He whipped his head up and kinda just stared at you for a few seconds and just nodded his head

He opened the door and held it open for you to walk out. When the door closed, you quickly locked it and headed to his car. “Whose party are we even going to? You never told me,” you asked him as he got into the car.

“Do you remember Isabella and ian?” you say thinking before it clicked. “Oh yeah the girl that fell into the fountain a few weeks ago when we went out,” you said to him turning your head to look at him. “Yeh her its there like party that they do every few years everyone is gonna be there!” you nodded and turned to put your seatbelt on before he started exiting your garage

Around 20 minutes later you arrived and by the time you got there their was a bunch of cars outside Erling found a place to park and you got out the car waiting for him to meet you on the side walk before walking towards the party together

A bit later that night

You can't remember how many shots and drinks you had, but you have had enough as you were dancing on some random dude you met 20 minutes ago. you think at least

Until suddenly, hands wrapped around your frame, dragging you towards the bathroom. At first, you got scared, but you soon realized it was Erling. He looked pissed, and because of your drunken state, you didn't even know why

He pulled you into the bathroom, locking the door. “What the fuck are you doing?” he slightly shouted at you, but even if he shouted as loud as he could, the music would have blocked out any noise. “Mhm, not what the fuck are you doing? I'm having fun if you couldn't tell!” you scoffed after slurring out your words

You headed to open the door, but he pulled you back, pinning you against the sink. Your body froze. You didn't want to look at his face, but obviously, you did. He was staring down at you. The look on his face was hard to put together, and without thinking, you did it the one thing you had been waiting years to do. You kissed him, and he kissed you back

You made out, and it soon hit you that you were making out with the boy you'd liked for years. He slowly pulled away, but your lips were nearly touching. Still, you felt sober somehow

“God, I've been waiting so long for that!” you heard him say almost in a whisper like it was only for you to hear, and it was only for you. You slowly started to realize this whole time he liked you too. You felt dumb for never noticing.

“Really?” you said lowly, waiting for his answer. “Yes, God, I'm gonna embarrass myself here if this goes wrong, but.” he took a slow breath before continuing. “Seeing you dancing like with someone, I don't know, it did something to me. I know I like you, I have for years, and I didn't know how to tell you cause I am sure you don't feel the same way, and I didn't wanna Rui—”

You cut him off, kissing him before he could continue. You didn't need to hear anymore to know what you both wanted. You pulled away, smiling at him. He still had his eyes slightly closed, and when he opened them, you had never seen him like that. His eyes had hunger and lust in them, and you were sure yours looked exactly the same

“So are you saying you feel the same cause if you don't, that's fine,” he said, slightly turning away from you? “Just shut up. Of course, I do. I'm surprised you couldn't tell!” you let out a small laugh as he turned to look at you again

“Thank God, I thought I had just lost you.” he hugged you, but it felt different. It felt like love, not just friendship. “How about we get out off here? It's quite lame anyway.” You laughed at his comment before replying

“Yeh, I'd like that as long as we can get food on the way back in. So hungry.” you rubbed your stomach a little as he laughed at you. You felt as if you were drunk again. “Yes, we can get food it's on me!” he said as he turned away from you to open the bathroom door

“It's always on you, but I'm not complaining about a free ride and free food. What else could I ask for.” you smiled at him as he opened the door and walked down the Hall to where most people where

As you were leaving, the guy you were dancing with tried to get your attention, only to be hushed by Erling wrapping his arm around your waist and leading you toward the door

You can't remember the last time you were happy like this, and all you could think about is that you hoped it would last.

Warnings!! - mentions of an operation and anesthesia and just Erling being a cutie

Y/N POV

"Babe, you'll be fine, trust me," Erling said in a soft voice as I was getting into my blue gown to get ready for my operation as I had damaged my hand a few days ago

"I'm just scared. You know how I feel about hospitals; I don't like them!" Erling sympathetically looked at me. " I'll be here when you wake up, I promise, okay?" | nodded at him instead of giving an actual reply

My nurse then walks into my room.

"How are you feeling?" | looked up at her as she checked my vitals and things like that. I wasn't paying enough attention to see fully

"As ready as I'll ever be." I gave her a small smile. " okay, so I'm going to give you some anesthesia. It isn't weak enough to the point you will wake up, but it isn't strong enough to last for multiple hours. The operation should only be around 1 to 2 hours." She said while focusing on the iv line

" I'm going to insert the anesthesia now so that you will be asleep in the next 5 minutes." | looked up the where she was injecting the anesthesia and watched it run down the tube

"I'll be here when you wake up, okay?"

Erling said in a sweet voice as he rubbed the hand he was holding

"Okay, thank you for being here. Love you." | looked up to him with hooded eyes as mine started to drop from the anesthesia kicking in. "I love you too."

And that was the last few words I heard come out of his mouth before the anesthesia entirely took over

My eyes slowly started to flutter open, and at first, I was unsure of where I was, but as I finally regained my senses, I realized I was in the hospital. I could feel someone holding my hand. I turned my head to the right slowly and saw Erling sitting, holding my hand while he was scrolling through his phone, oblivious to the fact I was awake

"What you looking at?" Erling whipped his head up to look at you and smiled as he saw you were awake. "Just scrolling through Instagram; how are you feeling?"

"Not too bad, just a little sore." | said, sending a small smile. Just as I was about to continue the conversation, a nurse entered the room. "How are you feeling?" She said with a bright smile on her face

"Not too bad, just tired, and my hand is a little sore, but not bad." She gave you a quick look before handing you some medication. *You should be able to leave in the next hour. We have to monitor you for 30 minutes to ensure the pain goes down then you are free to go." She smiled as she turned to leave the room after handing me some water for my tablets

"Finally home sweet home." | said as I stepped into the front door of my and Erling's house. I went to grab my bag to carry it up the stairs, but before I could, Erling swooped in to grab it before me. You are not doing anything. Go and sit on the sofa, and I will bring you some snacks and water." I gave him a confused look, and he just shook his shoulders and took my bags up the stairs to our bedroom

The night I stayed the same. He was doing everything for me. I liked it, but I also hated not walking to the kitchen to get my drink. I'm not going to complain as it is rare we are ever just us two anymore since he's always away playing games, and I also have my job, so I can't always go with him, but moments like these are amazing

"Erling, I'm tired I'm going to go to bed. I said while keeping my head placed on his shoulder. "Okay, pass me the remote let me turn off the tv, babe." I grabbed the remote and did it myself and stood up to walk myself up the stairs to bed, but as I started walking away, I felt him pick me up bridal style. "what did I say I told you not to do anything." He said as he was walking up the stairs. *I know. I'm sorry I forgot." He shocks his head and lets out a little laugh

He placed me down on the side of the bed before bringing me my pajamas and helping me with my pants and shirt, as I could not use my hand. After I got changed, I lay under the bed covers, then he joined, and I snuggled up to him, wrapping my arms around his neck and facing him.

"thank you for looking after me." | said, looking at him. "Don't thank me. That's what I'm here to do, baby, and I would rather be helping you than doing anything else."

One yawned as I slowly started to drift off, saying a quiet. "I love you." As I finally started to shut down, I heard him say.

"I love you too so much.”
