Hello, hi, how are you? I am Max, and yes I did disappear for quite a while due to being very behind in college work, but am now adjusting my blog to be stress relief when not studying- instead of additional stress :')

This will be exactly the same as my last rules post, just with a few big changes. If you decide you like my works, I recommend checking here often as things might change slightly sometimes :)

And yes. I am very aware this is a lot of characters. I like them. And I want to write things I like, without worrying about it being popular :3

If your blog is completely blank, I will block you as assuming you're part of the bot army

I would prefer asks over messages, unless it's a question of personal comfort when requesting (but anonymous asks will always be an option)

I will no longer be open to writing dark or mature content (with one exception) - so no angst or smut (I tried and felt awful about writing it for pokemon)

Despite the above I would still prefer no interaction from ageless blogs, but am aware that a lot of ageless blogs probably won't listen

If anyone ever wants to say hi, ask random stuff, or discuss favourite mons/games/characters, just send an ask to start talking :D

Side note: I have figured out how to reply to comments despite this not being my main

For characters, anyone under 16 will be aged to 16, but I will only go as far as kissing romance-wise for them

As mentioned in blog rules, dark content and smut will never be a part of this blog for any characters- with the exception of comfort fluff

Comfort fluff is okay for the topic of mental health issues, but must have a happy or relatively happy end

Please specify if you want platonic or romantic

Also please specify the reader's gender!

In regards to gender, I am more comfortable writing fem x fem or male x male, but gn is fine for either (I am not straight myself, and personal experience makes me very uncomfortable with male x fem relationships in my own writings)

With request specifics, please put as much detail as you can- if it's a simple 'Lillie x fem reader fluff' I will either only do headcanons or make up my own scenario and as such can't guarantee you'll like it

He’d been sulking all week since Leon beat him in battle again

So the suggestion cheered him up

Reason 1: it’s a challenge he can win

Reason 2: it involves you

Reason 3: he can take cute pictures to post

Reason 4: you always manage to cheer him up

when it comes down to it, though

you have to take his phone out of his hand in order for him to focus

you get a sheepish grin and an apology, then he’s focused completely on you

and of course, he wins the challenge

every time you try

hey, he wants to win something right now, he’s competitive by nature!

but then he sees you pout, so scoots closer to give you a kiss

“Hey, smile for me Bun. I might’ve won, but i can still kiss you too!”

doesn’t get it, and doesn’t particularly want to do it

it takes a lot of pestering him

about a week, actually

and when you do sit down to do the challenge, he mumbles complaints

you tell him to at least pretend to smile, and get a noncomital noise in response that sounds like ‘mngh’

but he does participate when you hold up the biscuit and bite the end

and you notice him turning pinker the closer your faces get to each other

oh

he’s just embarrassed

even with you, he’s not the most physically affectionate

he has to be in the right mood

so a pocky challenge out of nowhere is ‘affection battery- overload’

you let him win by stopping your bites

then when he opens his eyes, you kiss him on the cheek instead

he looks at you

then gives you a proper kiss

“What? Don’t look at me like that… C’mere if you want another.”

“You’ve got those moves down for Meowscarada! How many times is that in the last two weeks?”

You smile shyly as she rushes over and slings an arm around your shoulders.

“That makes 5 wins for me, now.”

She squeezes you closer and uses her free hand to ruffle your hair. “Nice! You’re catching up fast, Y/n- i told you the gyms would be a great thing to do for the hunt! Although,” she rubs her neck, “i think you’ve battled me more than the gyms… Maybe i should hold back a little…”

“N-No! Uh, i mean… I enjoy battling you. You helped me learn so much. Plus, it makes you happy, doesn’t it?”

Nemona lets you go and studies your face for a few seconds.

You can only hope you haven’t turned bright red.

It’s a relief when she smiles.

“Of course it does! What’s better than an all-out battle between friends? Especially since i get to see you get tougher and tougher!”

Now you know that you’re bright red- you can feel your face heating up.

It’s the most annoying thing, the fact that you blush easily. How are you supposed to hide your crush?!

Although… According to Arven, it’s obvious, so you might not actually need to bother trying to hide it. But that could just be Arven being Arven.

If it is obvious, Nemona hasn’t said anything herself.

Either it’s not obvious, or it is obvious and she’s just trying not to embarrass you.

Either option could end with you making a fool of yourself when you actually have the nerve to say it outright.

Nemona’s smile drops for a second, and she steps closer…

…And runs her fingers through your hair. Very softly.

“Nemona?!”

She continues as she replies. “You have grass in your hair. Meowscarada must’ve got it in there.”

You have to fight not to close your eyes and smile like an idiot. The sensation of her carefully running through your hair is incredibly relaxing, and sweet, and possibly romantic- okay maybe you are obvious if this is where your thoughts go immediately.

When she pulls back, you can’t help the little ‘mn?’ noise you make in question.

She smiles at you. “It’s gone now. Anyway…”

She looks down, then back at you, and you swear you can see a faint trace of nervousness in her face.

“Y/n? Can i… Do you want to go somewhere with me? There’s a cafe near your next gym, and they do those pretzels you like. I-I mean, consider it thanks for doing the gyms with me!” she grins at the end.

You can’t help the slight hope that maybe it’s a date…

Nemona is just thankful for her poker face, even if she did stutter. No way can she tell you she thinks you’re cute…

At least, not until you’ve become champion. She doesn’t want to distract you.

But pretzels should be fine, right?

“Thanks, Nemona. Let’s go.”

honestly, some of the Team Star members can’t always tell if you’re friends or not

there are times where you and Mela are just chilling, listening to Giacomo’s music together

or testing out new eyeliner shapes on each other

and other times you’re battling while yelling at each other

there’s never insults beyond ‘idiot’

but it’s always tense, and she sulks whenever she loses

you are usually the first one to calm down, and you almost always offer her a bag of jellybeans as a peace-maker

she doesn’t even like all the jellybeans you give her, but she accepts anyway

then it’s back to nudging you with her elbow if she feels you’re being too ‘best-friendly’

she’ll never admit that she loves you hanging out with her

she is very aware she can be… abrasive and blunt

so having a good friend to rely on means a lot

yeah, she has the other Team bosses

but you’re… refreshing

and fun

you’re not a member, but everyone knows you, and you’re welcome at any of the bases

Eri always pokes at Mela a little after you visit

she’s absolutely convinced that Mela likes you

but even if it were true, Mela will never admit it

no matter how many different ways Eri tries to get her to

You’ve been a streamer for about… 4 months now? You think it’s 4 months. 4 months of online gaming and playing the guitar if you don’t feel there’s a game that matches your mood. You’re currently playing through Minn’s Night Market, and managed to figure out a ‘get rich quick’ strategy in your last stream. The chat was pretty positive, and you encouraged your viewers to give it a go themselves, and also link you more games to try.

You do already have a backlog though…

Lots of cozy games to play!

Cozy games are what you themed your channel on, and your setup also reflects that. Two peach coloured monitors, a rainbow keyboard with custom caps, your console dock and ports set up to the side, and you stuck cat ears on your camera to match your headphones.

When you stream, you have your lamp on for a cozy glow, and you always pull on your sloth hoodie, it became expected after the first comment of ‘where’s the hoodie this time?’

It’s usually the same viewers who ask if you ever forget to put it on.

It’s nice to know that you have regular viewers, especially since you only average a few hundred per stream. You’re proud either way, but it’s a nice feeling that people enjoy your content.

There’s one viewer you have made note in particular- a person with the username ‘Electroweb’, who is always first to show up and say hello, and always stays until you end the stream, leaving pink and blue heart emojis with their goodbye message.

There’s been a couple times where you’ve thought about staying on a bit longer just to chat with them, but you never have out of nerves and fear of looking weird- you don’t even know their name, yet you want to chat 1-1?

You’ve brought this topic up to your best friend, Iono, once or twice. She’s a waaaay more experienced streamer than you, so you figured that she might have some advice.

It… Was more just her gushing and saying that this mystery person must have a crush on you. Because, and you quote, ‘why else would they leave hearts? They toooootally like you! You’ve caught them in your own electroweb, haven’t ya? C’mon, you have to message them next time! For me!’

She was so happy for you, it was really sweet. Didn’t really help relieve your nerves, but she was still encouraging, so you’ll take it. Plus, her energy levels don’t really mellow out enough to get to the ‘sage advice’ stage, they tend to stay at the ‘encouraging every decision’ level.

You decide to think on it.

And end up backing out for the next two weeks, every time you think you’re brave enough to message them at the end of your streams. The heart emojis keep on coming though, as do the sweet ‘hello’ and ‘how are you’ messages accompanied by kawaiimojis you only know from 3am messages from Iono.

The ‘Electroweb’ user remains the most active on your streams, and it actually ends up being them who talks to you properly first.

You were just ending your stream of Pal Pines when you noticed a message pop up in the chat that was obviously different from the several ‘goodbye’ messages.

Electroweb: hiya, Y/n! Can i ask a favour before this ends?

You: yeah, sure. Is there a new game you want to see me play? I can schedule it for tuesday if that’s okay :3

You briefly wonder why you replied so professionally when this is exactly the opportunity to talk more OUTSIDE of streams. But their reply makes the regret vanish almost instantly.

Electroweb: i was wondering if i could say hi? like turn my webcam on?

Electroweb: i’ve just been watching so many of your streams, you feel like a friend to me

Electroweb: okay, i miiiight have a tiny crush on you…

Electroweb: jeez, that sounds creepy typed out >~<

You: i don’t mind :)

You: i’d like to meet you

You: so yes, you can turn your camera on

You: who knows, i might end up liking you too!

You smile to yourself as you wait for a response, having turned the live off and selected their user to chat 1-1. It’s kinda nerve-wracking, but also exciting.

Then the video request comes through.

You adjust your headphones, then hit ‘accept’.

And you are thoroughly shocked by who you see.

“Surprise! Well. Half-surprise. I did my best to make it obvious.” Iono grins at you through the camera.

“Iono? It… It’s been you the whole time?”

She sticks her tongue out at you. “Duh! Who else would it be? D’you have any other friends who think you’re cute? Actually, you could, so ignore that one… But, yes! It was me. Hope you’re not disappointed.”

You just stare for a second.

Then…

“Do you actually?”

She tilts her head. “Do i what?”

“Think I’m cute.”

She grins again. “Absolutely! Remember when we were teenagers and i told you i loved you?”

You can’t help but smile. She had challenged you to a battle, then yelled ‘i love you, that’s why i let you win!’ after you beat her. And then turned bright pink and ran away, refusing to talk to you for the rest of the week.

“Of course i do.”

Iono smiles. “That… Never went away. We both grew up, but stayed friends, and i realised each year that i still am super duper into you. But i can’t just say it out loud, y’know?”

“You just did.”

She sticks her tongue out again. “Oh hush!”

You laugh, then ask, “So was this whole thing just a way to say you like me?”

“Nonono! I also wanted to show support for you streaming, since I’m ahead of you i figured i could check it out and promote if you’re okay with it. Then it turned into me just watching cause i… wanted to see you more often, i guess.”

She turns pink as she says the last part, and you smile.

“Tell you what. You know that cafe near my street?”

“Mhm!”

“Wanna get two of those ridiculous milkshakes you like tomorrow?”

“Hey! Rocky road freakshakes are the best!”

“that’s not an answer, Iono.” you laugh at her response.

“Wait… Is this…? Will it be a date?!”

“Duh.”

She blinks. Then grins.

And you wish you weren’t wearing headphones when she starts cheering.

“Hell yeah! I got a date with Y/n! I got a date with Y/nnn~”

You can’t help but smile.

You never really consciously thought of dating your best friend, but you do have a tendency to relate everything to her in every situation. And you do also think she’s absolutely beautiful… In more than a friend way.

You’ve just never sat down and thought ‘am i in love with my best friend?’

But. You’ve now got a date with her.

And you don’t think she’d mind if it took you two or three to figure things out.

As long as it involves those chocolate milkshake abominations.

Typically Rika prefers to listen to you talk, voicing her opinion when necessary, but enjoying you talking about what's new

Of course, she tells you anything interesting that happened with her, she just finds your stories more interesting

Like the recurring Shroodle-catching tale that takes place in your back garden and involves a reinforced butterfly net

She has had to stop you mentioning that in front of Poppy though

Cause she gets waaaay to overexcited and hyper, wanting to try and catch a Shroodle in a net

Rika plays parent when that happens

Poppy is distracted, and you are usually redirected to a different conversation topic

Completely misses the point when you explain it

Asks how many boxes he has to eat in order to win, then stares at you when you explain again how it works

Then

‘wait, WHAT?!’

It’s kinda funny to see how wide his eyes go at the idea of a challenge related kiss

He soon gets over it though

You are dating, after all, it’d happen at some point

His usual grin is present when you sit down with a box of caramel pocky, and even Decidueye stands watch (though you have a suspicion it was just because Hau was feeding him some of the biscuits)

It starts out as normally as it can

But it’s over quickly, because when Hau bites, he snaps off the majority of the biscuit by accident

So you try again

... The same thing happens

You try getting him to bite gentler

But after three more attempts, Decidueye gets involved

Using one wing, he shoves you forward straight into Hau’s lap, then hoots triumphantly when you kiss him

Maybe the challenge didn’t work out

But you got a kiss anyway

And Hau seems happy enough

“Hey, we tried, at least! Come here, I want another!”

‘Im walking down the hall now, is your door unlocked?’

You read the message, then quickly type a reply.

‘Fern and Sylvie are waiting to open the door for you, so just knock and they’ll let you in. Can’t really move atm :(‘

Fern and Sylvie are your pokemon, a female Leafeon, and a female Sylveon. Your newly adopted shiny Eevee, Berry, is curled up on your chest where you’re laying on your bed, and the weight of him rising and falling with your breaths is very comforting.

Just gotta get through these damn cramps.

It only takes another minute until you hear a knock on your door, and your pokemon work together and open it, revealing your ever-so-wonderful boyfriend who insists on staying over every time you get your period.

You smile and raise a hand from under your blanket. “Hi Arven.”

He smiles back, and sets two plastic bags down on your kitchen counter.

“Hi Bug. Want me to warm up your heat pack?” he gestures at the lavender heat bag on top of your stomach, then starts unpacking various sandwich ingredients and snacks from the bags.

“It’s still warm at the moment. Thank you, though.” you shift Berry into your arms and sit up, wincing at the stabbing pain that hits you.

“Oof…”

Arven looks over immediately. “You okay? Try not to move too quickly. It’ll- Oh, of course you two have seen them already!”

You laugh as Fern and Sylvie reach up with their front paws to try and get some of the fruit on the counter. Arven hands them each a slice of banana, then tucks the now empty bags away.

From your bed, you can see: kiwi, banana, and strawberry slices in little pots- you’re guessing they’re for your pokemon since Arven knows very well that they go nuts for them.

Then there’s half a block of cheese, pickle spread, lettuce, mayo, avocado, and two tubs of your favourite battered chicken. Add several bags of caramel popcorn and a 2litre bottle of iced tea, and you can confidently say that you have once again been absolutely spoiled.

You know by now not to ask if you can pay Arven back, he'll never let you. Even when it’s not the time of the Red Falls, he insists on making you food and never tells you how much the ingredients cost him.

It’s an incredibly sweet gesture that you return by making him cupcakes. You’re not on his level of sandwich making, but you can make pretty good cupcakes, so you give him a batch every two weeks.

Berry headbutts your chin and chirps, so you pet between his ears and watch as Arven starts making you some food.

“So which sandwich do you want first? There’ll be some to go in the fridge as well, I got extra of everything, so you can pick any of your favourites.”

You smile at him happily, very very grateful. “Thanks Arven. Can I have… Avocado chicken? Please?”

He smiles back at you, hands already working. “Sure thing. Get comfy, okay?”

You nod and shift into the corner of your bed, Berry now on your stomach on top of your heat pack, and Fern and Sylvie are next to you curled up into your side.

There’s something very comforting about having your pokemon and your boyfriend here while you’re seriously not feeling well.

Arven had already sent you tons of messages today, each incredibly sweet and reminding you of how ‘handsome and strong’ you are, and that you’re ‘tougher than all the other guys since they don’t have to bleed for a week straight’.

It helped with the self doubt that hit when you first woke up, and reminded you that ‘ohmygod I love my boyfriend so much’.

It doesn’t take that long until Arven presents you a plate with an avocado-chicken sandwich, and the sight alone makes your stomach growl.

“Enjoy! It should make your stomach hurt less once you've eaten. Oh, and,” he hands you the bottle of iced tea, “Remember to drink something too. Okay, Cuddle Bug?”

You can’t help the dopey smile that you make when you hear the full version of your nickname. Your love language is hugs, and that was apparent even when you and Arven were only friends. Naturally, your nickname reflects that now you are officially together.

Even when you have to go only an hour without seeing each other, you can’t help hugging him as soon as you see him again.

He gives great hugs, too.

You nod, Arven starts making more sandwiches, and you take a bite of the one you have.

“Mmn! This is so good! Thank you!” you give Arven a thumbs up as you eat, and he grins at you.

“Glad you like it! It’s important that you eat when you’re not feeling great, but it’s equally important it tastes good!”

You finish your sandwich in 6 minutes, then drink about a third of your iced tea (you don’t know how you didn’t realise you were so thirsty).

“Want another one?”

You think for a minute, then accept a cheese and pickle sandwich. The rest of them go in the fridge since Arven made you three of both, plus three chicken-mayo-lettuce sandwiches too.

He puts the popcorn in the drawer next to your bed, then sits next to you as you finish your food and holds your free hand.

“Feeling any better?”

You finish your last bite and nod. “Yeah, I am. The cramps don’t hurt as bad. Still got a little bit of a headache though. I’ll just drink some more.”

“I can get you another drink once you’re done. I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better though.”

Arven takes your plate and puts it on the floor, then the same with your drink, and then lays down with you and hugs you.

You snuggle into him, Fern and Sylvie moving to lay by your feet.

“Thank you Arven. I love you.”

“Love you too, Bug.”

Number three: they have to be the strawberry flavoured ones

It’s kinda funny how serious he’s taking this

And you make a small joke that it’s just a biscuit eating challenge, not a battle

You get a glare for that

But you can tell he’s not mad

Just embarrassed

If you had to guess, it’s because he’s nervous about possibly kissing you

Yes, you are dating

But you are very aware that he hasn’t kissed anyone before

Neither have you, but you’re less anxious about it

And of course

It inevitably happens

It’s pretty much the point of the challenge, even if that wasn’t why you personally wanted to do it

It’s a very quick kiss

Gladion momentarily freezes when it happens

But once you two have sat staring at each other for a minute or so

The female Grunts had been talking about the challenge for a while

And it made her curious

Normally she’s reserved in affection around others

Hugs are fine, sometimes a kiss on the cheek

But she figures it’s relatively harmless to give one quick kiss to you

Plus, she wants one of the Grunt girls to video it for her

She can be sentimental sometimes!

Plus it’s just generally a cute idea

She picks the oreo pocky, and gives a (very trusted) Grunt her phone

Then pulls you over

A quick explanation of the challenge, and you’re happy enough to do it

1…2…GO!

You end up pretty equal in terms of bites taken

And when the kiss happens, she holds your hand

It’s a very rare moment of her being soft in front of the others

“Ready? Aaand… Smile!” you grin and start snapping photos of Lillie, posed in front of the flowers with one hand on her hat, the other on the strap of her bag.

Her hair was swaying slightly in the breeze, a couple strands framing her face where they’d come loose from her braids, and a sweet smile on her face as she let you take picture after picture.

Melemele Meadows is always great to take photos in, and you’ve been wanting to update your ‘Friendship Folder’, as you called it. You've already taken countless photos of Hau- him and Decidueye sitting in a tree (and hanging from a branch), Hau making quick work of an extra large malasada order then the two of you sharing one, and some action shots of him Mantine Surfing. Naturally, his usual smile was present in every photo, and you'd promised to give him a copy of the photo of him doing a handstand on Mantine.

Lillie was a little more hesitant when you invited her out to take photos. She’s always a little camera shy, but the promise that the photos will stay between you and her helped her relax, and you took some back at her loft just for her first, so she’d know roughly what the pictures would turn out like.

You took a couple of Nebby too, so he wouldn’t be left out.

Once you’d finished taking the photos, you motioned Lillie over with a smile, to go over which ones you’d keep.

“Okay, come see them Lillie! You can help me pick which ones are best and which ones to put stickers on!”

You turned on your Rotom-Dex and gave him the usual head rub on his frame and greeting.

“Alola, Rotom! Think you can boot up the photo editor? Got some more photos to transfer.”

“Zzure thing!”

While your gallery loads, you start the transfer process from your camera. Yes, you know you can take photos with Rotom, but you find it more fun to use a seperate camera. Plus, you’ve had your digital one since you were about 6, so you never think about giving it up. You just modified it as you grew, keeping it updated with the more modern features while keeping the same appearance. Took you a long time, but you’re not gonna use anything else!

“Bzzt! Gallery and editor loaded! Anything elzze?”

You give Rotom another head rub. “That’s it for now, Rotom. You can enter standby mode for now.”

“Roger!”

Lillie giggles as she looks over your shoulder as the photos transfer.

“You and Rotom are such good friends, aren’t you? Even when you first met, you got along so well.”

You smile at her. “Yep! Rotom has always been there to give me directions or help me update my camera. He’s more than a pokedex, he’s a friend!”

Lillie smiles. “I can definitely tell.”

Your gallery refreshes with the new set of photos, so you then boot up the editor and start picking through them.

Lillie looks through too, and can’t help a gasp.

“I-Is that really me?”

You laugh and nod. “Yep! I’ve told you before how good you look in photos!”

She scrolls through the photos, then stops at one with a small ‘wow’. It’s a very well timed photo in your opinion: you’ve got Lillie with her head slightly to the side, a sweet smile on her face, and her hair and dress flowing slightly in the wind. The meadow flowers make a beautiful backdrop, and there are petals floating about behind her.

“Like that one?” you ask her.

“Yes… It’s so pretty!”

You grin. “That’s cause you’re pretty! Ooh- new photo idea!”

“W-What?” Lillie blushes and watches as you hurriedly set your dex on top of your bag on the ground, turn on your camera, and pick a small handful of flowers.

You then hold them out to her. “Here. Just hold them like this, close to your chest. And then tilt your head slightly… Perfect!”

Lillie smiles as you fuss over her and get her into position. This happens every time you do a photo shoot with her. You take gorgeous photos, then get super excited with a spontaneous idea and claim it’s better than all others you took before.

It makes her very happy to see you enjoy your photography so much.

And she always gets this warm fuzzy feeling when you call her pretty, too. Which happens every time you take photos of her.

She’s just never brave enough to say it back, as much as she wants to. And she really, really wants to.

When you first met back when you were 11, she was ever-so-slightly jealous of your confidence. You weren't a trainer, same as her, but you were never scared of approaching wild pokemon for photos.

Even when you got bitten by a Rattata (and she almost cried while she cleaned and dressed the bite), you immediately went back to the same spot and did a mini photoshoot with a Yungoos instead.

She supervised, bandages and germolene on hand, but couldn’t help smiling as she watched the pokemon climb all over you.

Yeah, she’s just always loved how happy, free, and confident you are. You were like that as a kid, and now you’re both 16 you’re still like that. Always wanting to take photos and explore and give her and your friends sooooo many compliments.

But… She’s the only one you call pretty out of the small group of girls you’re friends with. Obviously, you’ll say it if one of the others is asking if they look good, but you’re always telling her that her hair is nice, or that the new lip gloss she’s trying suits her, or that a new experimental outfit is ‘absolutely stunning’.

And she thinks the same about you. You’re usually in some sort of loose flowy dress or skirt, but you have such a variety of them she swears you’ve been to every apparel store in the region. Add fuzzy-lined boots, and your homemade knitted cardigan, and you look so beautiful to her!

At the same time, you’re beautiful when you call her at 3am in an eevee onesie, rambling that you’re halfway through a camera update.

She just thinks you’re pretty. Very pretty.

And wishes she could tell you.

But right now is photo time…

... It still takes you giving her a gentle poke to bring her back to the present though.

“Lillie? You okay?”

“O-Oh, yes, sorry Y/n! I was just… thinking.”

You smile at her and hold up your camera.

“No worries! You ready, or do you need a minute?”

“I’m fine! Is my pose okay?”

“Yep, yep! Just remember to smile!” you give her a smile of your own, and then start taking more photos.

You give her little encouragements with every couple photos, such as ‘Perfect!’ or ‘Beautiful!’, and feel very happy when she smiles back at you.

You’ve never hidden your little crush from her, after all.

At least, not by your definition. But you're very aware that she gets shy easily, so you don’t press further than telling her she's pretty, and just hope that she picks up on your feelings at some point.

After taking another dozen photos, you pick your dex back up and transfer the new photos to the still-open gallery.

Lillie stands beside you and watches, then starts looking through them all when you give her a happy ‘Go ahead!’

“Oh wow…”

After having a thorough look, she selects five photos in total, so you save those and delete the others, then load them into the photo editor to add stickers and frames.

“Here, you decorate the first one.” you say, and let Lillie go first.

“Um… How about this?”

You let her have a look through the tons of photo accessories you have (what's a photographer without thousands of stickers?), then watch as she adds a flowery frame and some pink star stickers.

“Is this okay?”

You smile and nudge her. “Of course! You can decorate however you want!”

Lillie nods and adds more, then moves on to the next photo. And then the others too.

You watch, then hit the save button once she’s done. Now all that’s left is to print them out and give Lillie her copies.

“Nice! Once they’re printed, i’ll come over and give you yours. Thanks for being my model again, Lillie!”

She smiles.

“You’re welcome, Y/n. But… Can i try taking a photo? Just a quick one?”

“Sure! There’s an Oricorio there, he’d make a pretty good subject.”

You notice that her cheeks are pink when she says, “Actually… I wanted to take a picture of you. Next to me. I-If that’s okay?”

You nod and activate the back camera, then hand it over and stand close. “You can take as many as you want, so just go for it, okay?”

“Okay.”

You pose for the first few photos: one with a peace sign from you and Lillie smiling, another with both of you sticking your tongues out (an idea from you), one showing you two holding hands, and the last with you putting a flower in her hair.

Being able to see your expressions on the camera screen, she can see the way you’re looking at her in each photo.

And seeing the happiness on your face gives her a little extra confidence.

“Y/n, can you… Close your eyes for a second?”

“Sure.” you immediately close your eyes, and she counts in her head.

3…2…1…

Just as she hits the camera button, she leans in and kisses your cheek, and then giggles when she hears you squeak in surprise.

You stare as Lillie hands you your camera back, a smile on her face, and look down to see the photo.

Yes.

She did just kiss your cheek.

Lillie then hands you one of the meadow flowers. “Thank you for always calling me pretty. I think you’re very pretty too.”

You have to ask, “Do you mean it? Like… As a friend, or…?”

She giggles and takes a hold of your free hand.

“The way you mean it. If you mean it more than a friend way.”

“My turn, then!” you grin and pull her close, then snap a picture of you kissing her on the cheek.

It’s only fair.

Then the two of you stare at each other and burst out laughing.

“I can’t believe it took that long for me to be brave.” Lillie grins.

“At least i know you picked up on my signs!”

“You’re very obvious, Y/n.”

“Hey, at least it worked!” you try to look offended, but are still laughing.

You then give her a hug, and hold her hand when you pull back.

“Wanna stay here for a bit?”

“Yes. I’ll watch you take more photos. The Oricorio is still here, after all.”
