“You’re disillusioned.”

“Does it matter what caused my cynicism? I’d much rather be a pessimistic realist than a gullible idiot.”
She seemed to digest my words before she said, “I believe the worst pain in life is to find your twin flame and realize that you can never be together… all because of circumstance.”
“It’s a good thing you found yours, then.”
My sarcasm was noticeable as Lana gave my arm a hard smack.
“Stop making a mockery out of everything I share with you!”
“Stop being so sensitive,” I rebutted.
“You’re unbearably sarcastic about everything in life, Vincent.”
“I’m British, sweetheart.”
“I can’t tell if your sarcasm is a defense mechanism, or you actually enjoy being incredibly obnoxious?”
