Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste Alternate Outfits

For the alternate outfits I wanted to give them pajamas, a swimsuit, something fancy/dress up, and two additional casual/everyday outfits (which are in the order from left to right)

(Note: I can't draw feet so for her pajamas and swimsuit they're just not there)

For Marinette's pajamas it's just a simple white t-shirt with green boxers, the boxers she found after meeting Chat Noir and (although she'd never admit it) bought them as they reminded her of him

Her swimsuit is a mismatched top and bottom, because I felt like all the characters being in one-pieces felt unrealistic and I wanted to switch them up

Her dress is a mixture of a couple different dress I found online, made specifically to give her extra mobility with slits on both sides, and for that same reason she wears flats instead of heels (which are the same color as her camouflaged Miraculous)

For her first alternate casual outfit, I wanted to play into the running gag in Power Rangers where as civilians they wear their ranger color so she wears red, otherwise it's a simple outfit as she doesn't like to go all out

Her second alternate outfit is pink shirt and black shorts, just to add a bit more variety to her outfit choices

Her entire set may seem rather simple but that's the point, Marinette's a fashion designer and while obviously she has an eye for fashion and loves it, she also doesn't want to be surrounded by overly fancy clothes 24/7

So aside from her making some of her clothes (namely her dress) I didn't like the idea that she'd be completely overdressed just because she designs clothes

(Note: I can't draw feet so for his pajamas and swimsuit they're just not there)

For Adrien's pajamas I just went simple with black boxers, and this is the only times Adrien will take of his prosthetic (aside from showering)

For his swimsuit, I took inspiration from his in canon but changed them to be actual shorts and just gave them white stripes, thankfully due to the advanced nature of his prosthetic he doesn't NEED to remove it, but he often times does if he's alone or just with someone who knows

For his suit, it's a simple black two piece with a white undershirt, black tie, and dress shoes because of his father, if he didn't need to appease his father's wishes, he'd likely just wear a button up

For his additional casual look I gave him a very dark, almost black turtle neck and blue jeans which is his "Gabriel approved outfit" he wears whenever he doesn't need to wear a suit to any Gabriel function

And his final extra outfit is a dark green t-shirt and light blue jeans with an arm covering to hide his prosthetic

If you read his backstory, you'll know that Adrien lost his right arm in the accident that killed his mom, so he doesn't wear his prosthetic while he sleeps and covers it any chance he can get

This was unintentional originally, as it just happened, but I made most of his outfits black to further show just how much control Gabriel has over Adrien even if Adrien isn't as under his control like in canon

Aside from the accidental outfit-storytelling I made, his outfits didn't really have a set reasoning aside from thinking "what would an 18-year-old model who doesn't want to be a model wear?" which led me to very basic outfits with minimal color, this also helps contrast his two main outfits being the white long-sleeve shirt I posted in his redesign post (which is linked on my blog) and the green t-shirt outfit which he wears less commonly but more than the others

FAQ about my rewrite/AU Miraculous: Magical Connections

A Brief Summary:

Miraculous: Magical Connections is a complete rewrite of the French TV show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir and aims to fix the issues many fans (such as myself) have with it. This includes but is not limited to: plot holes, character inconsistencies, and a general lack of story

How Mature is It?

Most of what I write is Teen and Up, and this is no exception

That isn't to say every character is going to swear and make sex jokes all the time, because they won't, but I wanted to work with a rating that allowed long time fans something to look forward to in this

I also wanted this to be a bit more on the mature side because if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to go into too much detail with certain characters backstories and the trauma they've gone through (such as Adrien)

What do you plan to Change?

A lot of it! I have completely rewritten the character backstories, have overhauled a lot of their designs, and have given them all a proper personality (not to say they didn't before but now they're more diverse)

I have also changed a lot of things that many of the fanbase just didn't enjoy, such as Chloé's loss of character development, the younger demographic causing certain topics (such as Adrien's trauma) to be extremely watered down, and other things

However as for the main plot of the story, it's still mostly the same in that Marinette and Adrien are Ladybug and Chat Noir fighting against Monarque (Hawk Moth) and Paon Aimant (Mayura) and Lila is still another antagonist (though my version is arguably more terrifying given she actually knows what she's doing)

Any Added/Removed Episodes? Why?

I'm going to be taking something from every episode of the show, whether that be the plot of the episode, the Akuma/Sentimonster, or just certain information but none of the episodes are going to be a one-to-one retelling with rewritten characters

When an episode is used in a way that was more or less what happened in canon, there will be enough changes to make sure I'm not just copy and pasting the episode

Changes to the Heroes or Villains?

When it comes to Miraculous holders? Nope, all Miraculous holders will keep the Miraculous that they wield in canon (With the exception of Zoé who doesn't replace Chloé)

But Akumas/Sentimonsters? Yep! I have quite a few original Akumas and Sentimonsters, though I doubt most of them will get their own chapters since most are going to be used as throw away to further world-building

Any Ships?

Most canon ships will stay the same, such as Adrien/Marinette, Alya/Nino, and Ivan/Mylène being endgame, however a few other ships will happen throughout the story that aren't endgame such as Marinette and Adrien's relationships before they get together

There are also other ships that will happen that aren't canon to the story due to them not having a canonical partner, such as Sabrina

The only canon ship that won't be canon in my rewrite is Félix/Kagami as (while I like the ship) I have other plans for them

On the topic of ships though!

LGBTQIA+ Characters?

Marc, Nathaniel, Juleka, Rose, Max, and Alix, like in canon, are all queer, however a good chunk of the rest of the cast are also in some form queer because 1. I'm following a lot of popular headcanons, and 2. I want them to be

Any Lore Changes?

The most notable is how Miraculous came to be, something that will be elaborated in the story itself, however due to the change in this there are a few changes I've needed to make

The Peacock Miraculous was never broken so Emilie simply died in an accident, this also led me to making Adrien, Félix, and Kagami all humans

I've also changed certain aspects about Guardians and the overall world, such as making certain magical creatures real (namely dragons) and further tying Kwami's and their abilities into real world stories such as the lost City of Atlantis and the Loch Ness Monster

And if it wasn't obvious, I've also changed the lore behind the Kwami's so they're no longer these random magical creatures and instead Gods (which was never confirmed in the show)

Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug and Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir Redesign

When designing Marinette's main outfit, I had a very clear idea of her being in overalls but there was never really a reason for it besides the fact that I liked the idea

I decided to put her hair up in a bun for two reasons: 1. the reason she has her hair in pigtails in canon is because of Socqueline and due to the changes in story, this situation would've never happened and 2. Marinette is constantly working, especially with fabric and sewing, so having her hair up is just helpful

As for the pink shirt and black shoes, they were just there to add a bit of balance and add something from her original design back

Her camouflaged Miraculous hides itself from being too recognizable to the charged version and it's pink to add a bit more color coordination to her outfit

She's pan and poly like many popular headcanons

She's still Half-Chinese Half-French like in canon

With Ladybug's redesign I wanted to further play into the whole "is her hair blue or black" and so it's both!

The Ladybug Miraculous changes the users hair to black no matter what color it is originally to hide their identity in addition to the quantum masking, and while it doesn't always change their height, Marinette is a little shorter while transformed

To help balance her colors, she has a lot more black on her suit with red spots like she does in her Lucky Charm suit in canon but slightly changed

The reason I've kept her with "bare feet" instead of giving her shoes is because 1. Even though it's not visible, she does technically have "shoes" and support since the suits act as that 2. I still wanted her to resemble the original Ladybug so I kept her shoeless and 3. I have plans to make updated suits for someone of the characters post-character arc, so for Marinette/Ladybug, her suit will change

(Also the spots are just kind of there, in the future I may make them make more sense but for now they just kind of exist)

So Adrien has heterochromia! His eyes are light so he wears dark green contacts because his father doesn't want him to appear "different"

He's pan because of popular headcanons plus I personally love the idea of him being pan

His outfit is a similar to canon aside from his shirt being long sleeved now and missing the stripes as well as just being a single shirt instead of an overshirt

He's French, Italian, and Japanese on his dads side as I wanted reasons for Gabriel's friendship/partnership with Tomoe and his reasons for using Lila's services and he's still British from his mom

Also, while not visible, his right arm is a prosthetic as he lost in in the accident that killed him mom, due to his father's connections to Tsurugi Industries, his prosthetic looks almost real, but he still wears long sleeves often to hide it further

Chat Noir didn't change much, I just wanted to add Adrien's heterochromia into the design and add a bit more color overall so I made his inner cat ears green and added paw pads to his gloves

His hair is also a bit more gold to help change up his appearance just a bit more

The reason his left arm is open is because he sees it as a way to show off his human arm and further hide the fact that he's an amputee (Similar to Ladybug, he'll eventually get an updated suit in the story that'll change this)

General Update

As of now, I'm taking a small break from most social media for my mental health

I'll still continue to work on Magical Connections as it's a passion project of mine and I want to keep working on it even if I won't be giving updates on it

I'll be back around the 20th or so with likely a few redesigns finished, in the meantime feel free to ask questions and I'll answer them when I return

Would Gabriel Agreste be Homophobic/Transphobic?

Okay here me out, if not for Kagami, Gabriel would give zero shit to Adrien for dating Marinette, especially since she's a fashion designer (we're gonna ignore season 5 and that alternate timeline when he actively bribed her)

So again, if not for Kagami, would Gabriel hate Adrien for dating a guy? Or being trans? Or hell BOTH?

I've seen and read fics for both, but I personally don't think Gabriel would have an issue with either because he loves Adrien and the only person he loves more is Emilie, so I highly doubt he'd actively hate Adrien being trans or dating a guy cause again he's only against Marinette because she's not Kagami

But what do you think?

Miraculous: Magical Connections Kwami Redesigns

All the Kwami's are varying sizes to help further their differences, as a baseline, Tikki is the same size as canon, being 10cm or just under 4inch

I added more black to Tikki's design to further break up all the red and I added small wings to help tie into its animal

I just changed Plagg's whiskers so they're more apparent and closer to a cat

I changed the small dot on Duusu's forehead to a heart to help further the connection to emotions

I just got rid of the things on Nooroo's wings, otherwise the design is the same

Pollen's design was kept mostly the same aside from the addition of wings

I changed the pattern on Wayzz to give it more character and added the small lighter patterns to help break up the green

Trixx is mostly the same with some minor tweaks such as getting rid of the eyebrows

Mullo is mostly the same but I added a bit of patterning to it to break up all the gray and also gave it an actual mouse/rat tail

Roarr is basically the same but with slightly altered colors/patterns to make it look a bit better

Fluff is the same as canon but its eyes are a darker blue

Kaalki's design is the same as canon, though it was a bit hard to translate in a front facing 2d design

Stompp's tail was changed a bit but otherwise its the same

Sass' hood was changed to make it connect to its tail but otherwise the patterns and colors are the same

Ziggy's only change was making its right arm white to make the pattern more asymmetrical

Daizzi's tail was made smaller and I only added one small brown patch to break up the pink and reference mud

Longg was changed the most as it being red never made sense and now that I've changed the concept and also have dragons be canon to the universe, I had to make it appear closer to what dragons actually look like (I took inspiration from Chinese dragons)

Xuppu has been kept the same

Barkk and Orikko have both been kept the same (Orikko is the weakest link because I can't draw its stupid crest but I did my best)

The Magic Cast Rewritten

Below are my rewritten backstories for Master Wang Fu, Grand Master Su-Han Xu, and the Kwami's

Su-Han Xu:

Su-Han grew up in the temple of the Guardians, dedicating his entire life to the work they did, and wound up being one of the youngest known Grand Master's in history, reaching the title at only 102. By the time he was 251, he was confident in Wang Fu's abilities even if his time was cut short… (There's more to his story, however that will wait until the story begins)(Note: He doesn't have a canonical last name so I had to give him one)

Wang Fu:

Wang Fu was found by Su-Han at a young age and began his training with Su-Han, and due to his mistake, the temple was destroyed and eventually the two would find their way to Paris (Like Su-Han, his entire backstory will wait until the story)

Stompp, The Kwami of Power - Stampede - Mallet (I changed it to still give the team a heavy hitter while also making sure it made sense)

The World Special Character's Rewritten

Below are the rewritten backstories for Fei, Jess, and Aeon

Aeon Hill:

Aeon Hill is an android built by Olympia Hill and sees both her and Barbra Keynes as her parents, and Jessica as her sister Aeon has a hero identity known as Uncanny Valley and is one of the members of United Heroez

Jessica Keynes:

From a young age, Jess' mother, Barbara Keynes, trained her to become the new Sparrow much to her other mom's, Olympia Hill, dismay When Olympia built Aeon, an android made specifically to act as a new hero which slowly devolved into becoming Olympia's daughter, that was when Jess finally become Sparrow for the first time (being 14) Jess likes being Sparrow, it wasn't like her mother forced her (she made it as clear as she could that if at any point Jess didn't want to be Sparrow up until her debut that she could stop) but at the same time, Jess felt like being Sparrow wasn't good enough The first few months were bliss, but slowly those feelings got worse and worse and now, at 17, she wished her mother would let her fly the nest

Wu Fei:

Fei was adopted at a young age by Bingwen, taking on his last name of Wu Bingwen was infatuated with his school and Fei followed his love of it, so much so that she became the sole heir to his school and learned all there was to learn She promised him she's protect his school and uphold his legacy She'd keep that promise even if it killed her (Note: Her adoptive father's name is never confirmed, so I had to give him a first name)

The Bourgeois Family (and friends) Rewritten

Below are my rewritten backstories for Chloé, Sabrina, Zoé

Chloé Bourgeois:

Chloé was born of May 21st to her parents André and Audrey Bourgeois While Chloé was young, Audrey would come and go as she pleased, never staying Paris longer than a few weeks at a time and being gone for upwards of several months, and by the time Chloé was 10, Audrey never returned to Paris for longer than a few days, and only ever for business Chloé loved, and still loves her father, but Chloé looked up to Audrey as this powerful and successful businesswoman and so, she did everything in her power to be just like her mom Chloé met Sabrina fairly young and treated her as though Audrey would, like a personal servant Chloé, no matter what, would continue to do so and scoff at those who told her it was "wrong" or "immoral" especially since, if it was truly as bad as they said, why would her mom do it?

Zoé Lee:

CW: Child Neglect

Zoé was born on November 10th to Audrey Bourgeois and Roberto Lee Although being her biological parents, she only ever saw Audrey as a person who gave her father money and Roberto as more of a roommate she was related too rather than the parents they should've been to her Zoé's life was filled with disappointment after disappointment; Audrey left her and her dad, the only friend she had, she barely saw, she was constantly bullied, she was alone Zoé wished she was Chloé Chloé didn't know Zoé existed, most people didn't, at least not as the daughter of Audrey Bourgeois She just wanted a normal life, but how can you have a normal life when your the product of an affair and neither parent were ever really around?

Sabrina Raincomprix:

Sabrina Raincomprix was born on September 25th to her parents Roger and Noémie Raincomprix Sabrina had always been helpful to others from a young age, wanting to emulate her father's kind actions through his job but this lead to her kindness being abused by others to make her do things for them that got her in trouble, but they'd always buy back her loyalty That was until Chloé See, whereas everyone before would treat Sabrina as nothing but a slave, Chloé actually treated her as human and while to everyone else it was clear Chloé was still just as manipulative as Sabrina's other "friends" Sabrina didn't see it that way So from the moment they became "friends" Sabrina did everything Chloé asked her to do, within reason of course, it wasn't like Chloé forced her to do any of the things she did, after all, that's what friends do for each other… right?

Luka Couffaine:

Luka was born Janurary 22nd to his parents Anarka Couffaine and a man he never knew From the little he was told of his father, he knew whoever he was was never a great father despite how much he loved Anarka and his children The only thing Luka truly remembers of his childhood was a song his father would sing to him and his sister and would often times hum it to himself of Juleka whenever they were in a bad mood Over the years, Luka helped her family with all she could, she'd help her mom with chores and working, she'd help Juleka with school and friends, everything to make sure her family was safe and happy; to the point that it was more common for her to help them then the other way around, though she never shied away from asking for help Luka attends Université Le Zodiaque with several friends and their girlfriend and even began a band with these friends

Allegra Beaufoy:

Allegra was born on August 8th to an absent mother she barely knew and her father Mathis Beaufoy who barely gave her the time of day Throughout most of her life she was forced to be on her own, living it as though she was by herself from a young age, knowing how to cook, clean, and any of the basics someone so young shouldn't need to know Allegra wasn't the friendless, and it wasn't like she bullied people, she just didn't like people, to her, having a friend or boyfriend would result in another absent person in her life Of course, two people, Claude and Allan, wouldn't just let her be by herself and continued to hang out with, or at least close by her It took her several weeks to even acknowledge the fact that they were always by her, not that she didn't know but that she didn't want them there, but after so long she caved and spoke to them It took an additional several weeks before she spoke more than a few sparse words or sentences to them every now and again Before Allegra knew it, she would adamantly call them her friends She also took their lead in attempting to help the self-proclaimed "Ice King" get out of his shell as well

Allan Abaddon:

Allan was always the kid who people would call a nerd, or know-it-all, or anything else, but he never saw it as a bad thing since he loved learning and loved being able to help out those who loves with information most might not know Most say it as annoying, but to Allan's friends, he was a sponge for random knowledge and tidbits and they loved him for it That also included the "Ice King" of school, which made him the most tolerable in Félix's eyes

Claude Amani:

Claude has always been a very fun-loving person, being extremely friendly and outgoing and hyper at all hours of the day Claude met Allan when they were fairly young, the two working as a perfect balance, but of course because they were a perfect balance, they didn't always agree on things and never had a tiebreaker Until they met Allegra, a chill girl who, despite needing to warm up to them first, was kindhearted and worked perfectly as the final addition to the trio Claude also became friends with one of his schoolmates Socqueline, and even considering her an honorary member of the Quantic Kids (even if he's the only one who calls the trio that) And he was the one to suggest they speak with Mr. Ice King of school, his best friends going along with it

Alix was born on February 18th to her parents Alim and Julienne Kubdel and is the younger sibling to Jalil As Alix grew up, they had noticed not everything was as pleasant as people attempted to make it out to be, especially regarding the way they viewed it Alix was constantly disregarded for liking "girly things" or not wanting to date or the way they twitched involuntarily Eventually she learned of why she was the way she was, why she twitched, why she didn't like the idea of dating or sex, why she didn't like what most young boys did Alix was non-binary, they used they/she pronouns, and were aroace; as for their twitches, that came from their tourette's However, despite knowing who they were, they were still an outsider Until they met Marc, another person who was an outsider by societal norms She also met Nathaniel and while they didn't click like she and Marc did, they became fast friends regardless

Mylène Haprèle:

Mylène Haprèle was born on June 23rd to Fred Haprèle and a mother who left when she was too young to remember her Growing up without her mom was hard on her and her dad, but her godfather and his family were often there to lend a helping hand Mylène didn't have too many friends growing up, always drifting between groups until she was 15 and became friends with Ivan, the two beginning to date less than a year later Mylène also met Max, an interesting person who surprisingly shared a lot in common with her While it was a small group of people she called her friends, she loved them all the same

Aurore Beauréal:

Aurore knew what she wanted to do as an adult for most of her life, and to everyone she told she was always met with the same reaction of "why?" and Aurore never really understood it. Being a reporter always fascinated her, so why shouldn't she pursue her dreams of wanting to be one? When she first went to her Lycée, and the principal told the student body that they needed people to run the blog, she was the first to request she'd do it. The principal asked her questions and eventually she was allowed to do it, but she couldn't do it alone, so two other girls, Alya and Mireille, joined her. Throughout most of the first year, the three never really interacted beyond working on the blog, but by the end of it, Mireille asked Aurore if she wanted to hang out and soon enough to two became close friends, and eventually begun dating. While she and Alya aren't exactly friends, Aurore did enjoy spending time with her due to their shared love of Majestia.

Mireille Caquet:

Mireille never really knew what she wanted to be growing up, she had thoughts sure, but never a concrete idea. Even as she went into Lycée, she wasn't sure. So she joined the School Blog's team so she'd be able to see what others were up to and see if it'd help her figure it out. She didn't really enjoy a lot of what people were doing, but she loved hanging out with Alya and Aurore, more so the latter though. They didn't hang out much through the first year aside from the school's blog, but by the end of the year she worked up the courage to ask Aurore to hang out and they became quick friends, eventually beginning to date.

Max Kanté:

Max was born on January 5th to his mom Claudie Kanté and a man who passed away too early in Max's life for it to remember From the time it could think for itself it knew it wasn't a man like most thought it to be, it just simply wasn't It also knew firsthand that it wasn't like most others in the sense of its knowledge, being miles ahead of many of its classmates If it really wanted too, it could've skipped straight to université but with its mom's insistence, it skipped one year to at least try Lycée and that's where it met Mylène Haprèle and the two instantly clicked, eventually becoming best friends So it stayed, eventually becoming a tutor for one Lê Chiến Kim and it became attached, befriending him like it did Mylène and the two eventually dating It even created an Artificial Intelligence that learned on its own, becoming one of Max's few friends It didn't like socializing much, but Kim, Mylène, and Markov were exceptions to that

Marinette Dupain-Cheng:

Marinette was born on November 20th to her parents Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng Since she was born, Marinette was always weirdly intertwined with anything and everything that had to do with creating, which, according to her mom, ran in the family She always had a knack for baking, and she loved fashion so she was quick to pick that up too, she also had a habit of helping with things like scheduling or math or other things that had to do with organization With those things, it wasn't much of a surprise to her that she was neurodivergent, having both ADHD and autism Her friends, Alya and Nino, often told her how awesome her clothes were and that even their families liked them, and the constant praise she got from something she adored doing was what birthed MDCDesigns

Marc Anciel:

Marc was born on January 2nd to his parents Séverin and Diane Anciel Being autistic and narcoleptic made Marc's early years of life difficult, just one would make it difficult, let alone both, so for most of their life they didn't have friends, falling into their family for support They loved their family, of course they did, but it didn't help their case of being the weird kid who passed out like a scared goat, and it was even worse when they realized they were gay and a demi-boy as well Thankfully for them, they met Alix, another person who didn't fall into the gender binary society placed around them from a young age and the two became quick friends Marc didn't like talking to new people, so it was a surprise at how easy it came to them with Alix, but unsurprisingly, Alix's friend Nathaniel was hard to talk to, not just because he was a new person but also because Marc had a stupidly huge crush on him…

Socqueline Cheng:

Socqueline was born on June 1st and adopted by Cosette Cheng when she was 10 Going from no family and few friends to an entire extended family with two cousins, two aunts, two uncles, and a bunch of other family members was like whiplash to Socqueline, but she loved it and she'd never trade her family for anything Despite not being blood related, Socqueline would do anything for Marinette and Marc, often being the first to offer a hand, and in some cases a fist, whenever either needed it When she went to université, her first thought was if her cousins would be fine on their own, but once her homesickness wore off, she began to live her life, meeting her best friend Allan and even beginning to date someone she adored

Alya Césaire:

Alya was born on February 26th to her parents Otis and Marlena Césaire and is the younger sister to Nora and the older sister to twins Etta and Ella. Throughout Alya's life she had always been obsessed with superheroes, so much so that for every party she had it was a different superhero depending on which she was most obsessed with at the time, her room was decorated with all the superhero merch her family could afford, and she'd also gush about the heroes all over the world whenever the news of whatever they did reached Paris. Her love never changed for heroes, never once faltered, and her love of superheroes was what led her to meeting her friends Nino and Marinette, as they also loved the heroes, specifically the United Heroez in New York. When she was 15, she started a blog that focused mostly on the United Heroez, but also updated people on heroes all around the world. She did her best to keep it as updated as possible but her main focus was keeping places who didn't have heroes such as Paris in the loop of what the worlds heroes were up to. She's not exactly friends with Aurore and Mireille but since the three of them run the school blog, Alya does run into them from time to time and the three tend to rant about things on Alya's blog

Nora Césaire:

Nora is a professional kickboxer, who has gone through multiple tournaments at her young age Over the last few years she began to train others in kickboxing and self-defense

Nino Lahiffe:

Nino was born on July 5th to his parents Philbert and Jeanne Lahiffe and is the older brother to Chris. From the moment he was born, Nino loved music, so much so that many of his presents (once he could use them) were music related. He got headphones, a record player, a laptop to make music, and so on. Nino's parents were friends with Marinette's, so since the two were born only a few months apart from each other, their parents made constant playdates between the two, and they had been friends ever since. Sometime during their first year of Lycée, the two had met Alya and became an unstoppable and inseparable trio of friends.

Rose Lavillant:

Rose was born on August 13th to her parents Claire and Antoine Lavillant, along with her other parents Fujino Miki and Vanni Opizzi For most of Rose's childhood she was in and out of the hospital for her poor immune system. She got sick often, that was the main reason, but she was also diabetic and the combination of the two made her visits to the hospital more than her parents would like She was also accident prone, wanting to prove that she wasn't weak just because of how often she went to the hospital, so there were several times of her injuring herself, though thankfully most of those injuries didn't result in a hospital trip Rose also tried to be tough, to be strong, to be positive, and she was; she didn't want people to worry about her just because she wasn't as strong as other people When she was 12, she met Juleka, and Juleka told her she was the strongest person she'd ever met Rose wanted to continue to be the strongest person Juleka ever knew

Juleka Couffaine:

Juleka was born on Janurary 22nd to her parents Anarka Couffaine and a man she never truly knew. From the very little her mom would tell her about their dad, all she knew was that he wasn't the best dad Juleka's childhood was a decent one, it wasn't perfect by any means but they wouldn't trade it for the world, Luka was an amazing sibling to them and Anarka always did everything in her power to make sure everything went as well as it could for her children When she was 13, she was in a small car accident that thankfully only resulted in a broken leg. However while in her stay at the hospital, she met a girl her age named Rose. Despite being in a hospital bed and not feeling well, Rose was so positive about everything and Juleka was so confused how she could feel that way; the two became inseparable Rose would eventually confess to Juleka when they were 16/17 respectively On Juleka's 18th birthday, they and Luka got matching tattoos Juleka became a member of her siblings band "The Band of Witz" by Luka's invitation and she and Rose joined as the lead singer and bassist respectively

Nathaniel Kurtzberg:

Nathaniel was born on November 5th to his parents that not long after passed Nathaniel was in the foster care system for his entire life, going in and out of different homes many times until he eventually just aged out of the system. Throughout his life he did countless odd jobs until he could actually apply places, saving up the money to get himself an apartment, but when it came time to, Alim, Alix's dad, told him that he didn't need to and offered one of the extra apartments within the Louvre like the one the Kubdel's lived in and he was quick to take the offer

Ivan Bruel:

CW: Past Mental/Emotional Abuse and Child Neglect

Ivan was born on April 25th and adopted into his family when he was 7, and his adoptive parents Pénélope and Seraphine Bruel and eventually becoming the older brother to Sophie Ivan's life after he was adopted was filled with nothing but love and care from his family and the few friends he had over the years However during his first seven years with his birth parents, he faced nothing but neglect and emotional and mental abuse, resulting in him developing selective mutism as a coping mechanism as, to him, staying quiet is almost always better Over the years, he slowly began to unlearn the habit of going mute for days at a time, now only doing it in times of extreme stress When he was 14, he met Mylène and despite not believing in them before, he knew he had met his soulmate and tried his best to befriend her, eventually doing so by the time they were 15 and beginning to date not long before they turned 16 When he was 16, he met and become rivals with Lê Chiến Kim; truthfully neither really remember what exactly had started this rivalry, but neither had let up on it since they met

Lê Chiến Kim:

Kim was born on December 10th to his parents Lê Chiến Quan and Cleménce Mullins, however his parents wouldn't stay together long When he was 5, his parents divorced but not for any fault of their marriage, it was because they were forced to conform to society and refused who they truly were By the time Kim was 10, his parents were in happy and loving relationships, giving him his Dad Badru, his Papa Quan, His Maman Cleménce, and his Mom Aya Throughout Kim's life, he had issues with reading social cues and learning, something that very quickly caused him to fall back from his peers and even almost causing him to be held back a grade during his early education He (and his parents) would figure out he had ADHD when he was 11 and his parents helped him in any way that they could, including getting him a personal tutor but his tutor's never really stuck until the one he got when he was 16 His tutor was a year younger than him and yet was in the same grade, which wasn't that exciting since he only skipped one grade, but that wasn't what made Kim work better, it was the fact that his tutor, Max, managed to explain things to him in ways that made him understand it Eventually the two went from tutor and student, to friends, to dating three years later When he they were 17, he met and become rivals with Ivan Bruel; truthfully neither really remember what exactly had started this rivalry, but neither had let up on it since they met

Adrien Agreste:

Adrien Agreste was born on September 7th to his parents Gabriel and Emilie Agreste Being born into a rich family forced Adrien to live a life others planned for him, namely his job, his friends, and worst of all, his time spent being a normal child When he was young, his friends were his cousin Félix, a family friends daughter Chloé, and a business partners daughter Kagami as these were the only people who Gabriel thought Adrien should be friends with For his sake, he at the very least enjoyed hanging out with them and even met Sabrina through Chloé, and while they didn't talk often, she was one of Adrien's friends However, when he was 13, and his father forcing him to model for a few months at that point, Emilie decided that they shouldn't force their lives onto their son and snuck him out of the photoshoot one day Emilie took Adrien to a little run down and abandoned building she and her old friends used to hang out at when they were kids, but what she didn't account for was the age of the building adding to it's instability It collapsed with them inside Adrien came out with his life, but the loss of his right arm Emilie wasn't as lucky… Adrien slowly grew more rebellious as he healed and grew older, hating that due to his father's instance that he be just like him was ultimately the cause for his mother's death But Adrien didn't hate his father, he didn't actively disobey him, because he knew he was grieving but Adrien wished his father would just accept that there was no way to bring Emilie back to them

Gabriel Agreste:

Gabriel never expected his wife to die, let alone for his son to suffer in that same accident because of how he pushed Adrien to be the face before he was even 13 He spent years of his life hunting magical artifacts and he knew of two that could reshape reality from the stories in his travels, and now he needed them, no matter how long that took And luckily for him, it didn't take as long as he'd thought, as within 5 years he found two, granted they weren't what he needed, but now that he had these? Adrien would be given self-defense lessons to keep him safe…

Nathalie Sancoeur:

CW: Brief Mention of Murder

Nathalie was born on April 1st, how ironic given most of her life At a young age she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue, something that slowly worsened as she aged and pushed her body further than she should By the time her adventures with Gabriel and Emilie came to a close, she had pushed her body too fair, and while she slowly healed with time, her body is in a state of near permanent exhaustion She can go about her everyday life like she could before, but to go on an adventure again is a fairytale But then Gabriel asked for her help to retrieve magical jewels that could not only help her but bring back Emilie and, of course, she agreed She didn't think she'd kill someone to get a brooch…

Félix Fathom:

Félix was born on March 26th to his parents Colt and Amelie Fathom and from that moment onward, his life was a living hell Even at a young age, Félix didn't understand how or why Colt would want a child if he treated Félix like he did, especially given Félix was treated more like a pet than a child Félix's entire childhood was filled with bruises, blood, and broken promises Colt Fathom, who had long before last the title of Félix's dad, died when he was 16 Félix had never been so glad that someone had died than the day his mother told him of Colt's death Because of Colt, Félix didn't have a proper childhood; he didn't have friends, he was forced to focus almost exclusively on school, and all the while Amelie sat by and didn't act Félix moved to Paris to attend Université and told his mother not to contact him unless dire and he never told his cousin or uncle, as they weren't any better to him in his life He met several people in school, Allegra, Claude, Allan, Luka, Socqueline, and perhaps in time, he'll one day call them his friends…

Kagami Tsurugi:

Kagami Tsurugi was born on September 1st to Tomoe Tsurugi and a man whom she never met Throughout Kagami's entire life, she lived in her mother's shadow, and all she ever wanted was to prove to her, just once, that she could be as good as her She constantly pushed herself, she pushed and pushed and pushed and then… She broke During a fencing competition, she, and her longtime friend Adrien, were in a fencing competition together and they were the final two She was distracted because she wanted to impress her mother but she knew that Adrien needed to impress his father, she was distracted because she wanted them to both get what they wanted, needed, she was distracted because of the pain… She lost her eye due to her being distracted, and when she was released from the hospital, Adrien apologized until he was out of breath but her mother? The one who was supposed to be concerned? "The Tsurugi's have a curse that make us go blind," Her mother had told her instead of comforting her, "Very few of our family has kept their vision and you are a lucky one to keep an eye." She cursed her family name from that day on
