Reposted from @lezztrooper - Milsim west The Azeri Front was tough as hell, but I knew my @headontactical bag would be up to the challenge. It was loaded to the max with gear, clothes, and food, but it held it all perfectly. Even with about 30lbs of gear in there, the pack remained extremely comfortable and didn't stretch, sag, or tear in any way. The molle also held well and didn't sag either. Overall, once again I am extremely happy with the pack. @headontactical always strives to make great, well built products and this one definitely fits the bill. I also want to add that he put this pack together for me within a week pretty much. He special ordered the OD cordura, assembled and shipped it out just in time for the event. A true hero. So here is my basic set up, tent @marmot is only for known overnights, I have the tarp and ripcord for unplanned overnight. I use orange bag 24Lfor smaller daytrips, since it is a one size back and I am lil short. The new larger is 46LBoth are @ospreypacks so are hubbies. The are amazing and fit well. He carries a 65L large pack and 28ishL smaller. I also wear a fanny back, easy access to certain stuff like all my lip stuff, gum, smaller first aide kit, lighter, leatherman. It is just from Walmart. All the extra socks are @darntoughvermont and @smartwool , I carry all the extra pairs. Work and warm gloves, headgears. Assortment of baselayers @mountainhardwear and @terramarsports. My favorite lightweight jacket is @flagnorfail , also hoodie @kuhl (hubbie's pants are theirs as well and jackets), extra batteries, bug spray, machete, sunscreen, allergy pills, messkit. I carry @yaktraxtraction just in case, sometimes ya never know. Smaller pouch from @maxpedition contains all the small essentials: compass, matches, knife, flashlight, mini blanket, wipes. I pack smart and lil overkill. My pack with my half of sleeping supplies and food for long trips is about 35lbs. I carry same weight for most longer hikes just to me ok with weight.
