The true reason behind choosing ele as my main is that I get to draw these effects whenever I please. Lightning charged punchies, wohoo. /o/

I still think about her occasionally. One of the characters with most wasted potential imo, she could've been to the Commander what G'raha Tia is to the Warrior of Light.
Lady Camilla!!
Our herald is the baest bae.
I’ve been meaning to draw her ever since I played the episode! Then I got caught up in stuff and totally forgot about it. Good thing that I had told about my plans to a buddy, who reminded me today, so I immediately went on a doodling spree. <3 I’m not very good with semi-realistic faces, but I tried!

gw1 on sale yooooo
This's big because it hadn't happened in years, and I'm sharing here in case anyone wanted to try gw1 (one). It's massively discounted right now!! And EotN too!!!!! You can get the key via steam and activate it on a normal anet acc, which I'd personally recommend.

I'm burned and distrustful of gw2 writing like the next guy, but soto actually restored some of my enjoyment of the game to the point of indulging in a speculation. Below is what, in my eyes, would make for a fun story, and prove to me that the team has some care and competence once again.
A theory on the origins of demons/kryptis.
Becoming a member of the Astral Ward requires one to part with one's worldly life, the Heart of the Obscure could be the tool used to sever the memories and self from the person. That severed self couldn't possibly be happy with the event, it succumbs to the strongest negative emotion, and becomes a demon/kryptis.
Irja, who has a similar-sounding name, an asura model, and just as much anxiety as the freshly ascended Zojja, is her severed self.
The demons themselves are just Fucked Up (tm), some of their actions aren't necessarily motivated by their trauma of being severed from their former body/life, but the incursions and possessions could be mere attempts to return where they rightfully belong.
Once again, the Ward uses the Heart of the Obscure to drive them back, thus repeating the theme of severing, exorcising, sealing away.
Whether this's an unfortunate side effect of the "ascension" and the Ward genuinely means well, or if there's some underlying bigger scheme and the kryptis are born on purpose, I couldn't tell.
The common thing among the Astral Ward is a troubled past they'd rather forget, and the moral could be that you have to accept yourself no matter how unpleasant that may be.
Lastly, the [REDACTED] fractal could contain the hard counter to the Heart of the Obscure, or a key if you will, to rejoining with your severed self.
This's it, thanks for reading my unhinged rambling. It might not survive the scrutiny of a bigger nerd who pays closer attention to the story, still I wanted to save it somewhere just incase :3c
