are you a high school student about to take the apush exam? boy do i have some good news for you
for some reason when i took the apush test in 2018 i decided to make my study guide in the form of a shitpost. im talking bullet points. pop culture references. gen z lingo. its 102 pages long. i ended up getting a 5 on the test and this is literally all the studying i did. i am also now a history major.
but since i remember things better in shitpost form, it worked really well then memorizing dense text. and i know the test hasn't changed that much, so, i thought i would offer it to anyone who needs it.
it spans everything i learned in US 1 and US 2 and goes in chronological order. i haven't read through it in a hot minute but i think that everything in there should make sense. i essentially clown on the us for 100 pages in shitpost form.
so for all of you stressing about the exam on thursday, don't. read a shitpost instead. it will help you.

You know you're doing great when you're doing APUSH notes laying down in bed. I'm tired, but I've gotta talk about the second economic revolution
My glasses are broken, I'm laying on my side, I have a test tomorrow

Repost from my main
So, this is the hill that I'm dying on?
Tumblr media
Yes, it's a slightly imperfect grade, nothing to lose sleep over. We aren't perfect people.
But that 1.76% is
My friend's emotional abuse
My depression and anxiety
My struggles with ADHD
My fight with the balancing act of life vs school
That A was about
The hours and hours I put in
Getting up and working when I wanted to be dead
Pushing past my own reservations to participate and learn
Doing work in other classes, at lunch, the middle of the night, first thing in the morning
So fuck it, I can be mad that it's not an A. I can die on this hill because for me it's a mountain.

Doing homework, setting a timer for when you need to take a break, not wanting to take a break because then I'm obviously just lazy and never getting enough done

A little update!
School is going alright, my lowest grade is a B+. I'm doing well in my AP classes and I got my research project approved by the school district. I took the PSAT and I believe it went well.
Most of the stuff stressing me out right now is outside academics. An acquaintance from choir is coming to live with me as her home situation is bad, and the process is freaking me out. Some of my close friends are having drama with her too, so my head is just spinning. I also have my ADHD referral to a psychologist coming up and I'm a bit anxious about that.
I'm also stressed about my best friend who moved away officially a year ago, and about coming out as transgender in the next year or so, but those are constant worries.
Anyways, I just wanted to post this because I've neglected this blog a bit, but I'd like to use it more. Junior year is painful, but I'm getting through it!
Now I'm off to do my APUSH notes...

I spent so much time studying for my AP Chem test. I got a C-.
I spent about half an hour crying about it. Then I just got back to work.
I know I'm capable but I'm just not there yet and it's frustrating.

So what if I have a 50% in AP Research right now
So what if looking at my bibliography gives me severe anxiety that prevents me from making progress
So what if I feel like I'm failing as a student
So what????
Ahhh

I'm so tired, seven hours of school, plus theater really wipes me out. I'm proud of myself though, I went to the library despite being exhausted and I studied for a test and did my homework. I have straight As right now and I feel academically confident for once!

How To Fight Procrastination
I recommend:
Having a planner or a bullet journal to stay in control of what you must do.
Have those post-it notes on the screen of your computer.
Using a writing app on your phone and adding important dates to your calendar.
Having a writing block on your pocket or your backback/bag.
Asking people to remind you that you have to do something important on that day.
Reward yourself with something nice after you finish something.

I got a 4 on the AP Seminar and AP Spanish Language and Culture exams!!
I knew I would probably pass Seminar but I was really worried about Spanish because I've had audio processing issues all year and all of the listening portions were like my nightmare. But I did it!!!
