this sounds like such 14-year-old bullshit but nobody prepares you for how you feel when you realise that some of your friends actually don't really like or care about you that much

i dont rhink you understand. steve getting pushed against the wall with a bottle to his neck and robin having to be held back by dustin to prevent her from beating eddie up. robin rolling up her sleeves and having the most murderous look on her face when she sees steve flinch when eddie leans in closer. robin running over to steve as soon as he's freed and rubbing his back and checkinf up on him because she was so so worried. you dont get it.

At some point, Steve stops flirting with literally every random girl coming into Family Video and starts to develop an oddly specific type: girls who seem to be more into Robin than into him. It's not something he does deliberately, but every time he tries to ask a girl out, she'll be staring over his shoulder to where Robin is clumsily stumbling around in an aisle with a way too big pile of tapes in her arms, or when he asks for a number the girl in question won't even hear him because she's too distracted by Robin standing behind him on her tiptoes stretching to put some tapes back on the highest shelf. Robin never notices - she's completely oblivious to the very idea of anyone ever being into her - but Steve does. So he stops trying to get with those girls and instead starts asking them out on Robin's behalf. He never strikes out again.

telling someone that "this song made me think of you" is beautiful but, "this book made me think of you and you stayed with me all the while i was reading it and after that" is what i want to hear.

I’m proud to identify as morosexual. I’m attracted to dumbasses and dumbasses exclusively. A guy asked me what the Spanish word for tortilla was once and now I dream of kissing him under the moonlight

🙃 Regular reminder that while Hozier has amazing love songs, he is ALSO very outspoken about his leftist politics, specifically anti-fascism, anti-racism, reproductive rights, Palestinian rights and more.
Take Me To Church and Foreigner’s God are scathing critiques of organized religion, specifically the Catholic Church.
Moment’s Silence is about oral sex but it’s ALSO about how that specific sexual act is often distorted to a show of power rather than that of love.
Nina Cried Power is an homage to various civil rights activists from the US and Ireland and a call to follow their path.
Be specifically criticizes anti-migrant policies and Trump and his ilk.
Jackboot Jump is about the global wave of fascism.
Swan Upon Leda is about reproductive rights and the violent colonial oppression of Ireland and Palestine.
Eat Your Young is about the ruinous way the 1%/capitalism prioritizes short-term profit over everything else to the detriment of the youth/99%.
Butchered Tongue is about Irish and other indigenous languages being suppressed and erased by imperial powers.
If any of the above surprised you, please, please delve deeper into Hozier’s music, you’re missing such an important part of his work.
