Gay cops are still cops. And cops do not belong at pride.

More than just ‘no cops at pride,’ because let’s be real, they legally have to be around when large groups of people are present, and they aren’t going to make an exception for pride, but no cops in pride parades. The fact that cops, after all they’ve done to us, have the audacity to march in our parades is disgusting and should not be allowed. I have no clue how the organizers could have allowed it.

cops have never made places safer for minorities. pride itself was started to combat police brutality and oppression. Cops don't belong at all, let alone at pride parades
Tumblr media
I made this and I’m proud.
Pride is a safer place with cops around, full stop.
Being lgbt does not necessarily make you a good person. There will be violent people at pride, there will be people who are trying to put something in someones drink at pride, there will be people who are disturbing the other attendees at pride, there will (possibly) also be homophobes/transphobes trying to make attendees at pride uncomfortable, there will (possibly) also be rapists looking for victims at pride. Apart from all this, there will be a heightened risk of terror because of the large gathering of people (I’m not kidding. Last year the pride parade I was in had a big ass truck following us blocking the roads from potential vehicles wanting to hit us.)
I know that some cops have been shitty to (among others) lgbt people throughout history, but the majority are working hard trying to make events like pride safer for everyone. Be nice to them they are literally just doing their job.

I think tulpamancy (the buddhist practice) is interesting to study, I will not take part of it. Endos are weird ppl who need to seek therapy LMAO. But seriously, tulpamancy as a buddhist practice is very interesting as a concept. I'm sad to see it being associated with endos.
yeah i agree, although i have seen people say that tulpamancy is a dead practice anyway. so it's not only a closed practice, but one that no one actually does anymore (as far as I am aware). idk i just think it's really funny that people with 0 knowledge of or connection to Buddhism think it's okay for them to appropriate that practice.

if you seriously think "tulpamancy" is a legitimate experience for you to have, Please do some thinking on why that's ridiculous. I know you see those posts that try and tell you tulpanancy is cultural appropriation. I know you see em. And even if it wasnt appropriation... you cannot will alters into existence. that is so damaging, so insensitive, and so concerning. If you are someone who believes they have forced themselves to have alters, and I mean this in the most sincere way, talk to a therapist.

Hey: if privilege depends on hiding....... you're not privileged. "Straight-passing", "cis-passing", "male privilege for trans men who pass" - all those things go away the SECOND someone knows who you are, what you are. And that's not privilege, buddies.

It would be great if characters experiencing psychosis or other derealization symptoms would be portrayed more respectfully and kindly in media and characters. It would be great if it wasn't always to make the character seem threatening, scary or "deranged". As someone who experiences unreality due to trauma often, it's actually much more scary to be on the receiving end of it. I'm not the only one in our family who's struggled with this, and it's more heartbreaking to witness than anything. It's heartbreaking having to see a loved one demonized by their peers and the rest of our extended family bc of psychotic symptoms and hallucinations. To be treated like a rabid animal or inherently untrustworthy
Also for the uninitiated, PSYCHOPATH IS NOT A THING. SOCIOPATH IS NOT A THING. PSYCHOSIS MEANS A STATE IN WHICH THE PERSON EXPERIENCING IT CANNOT DIFFERENTIATE WHAT'S REAL AND WHAT ISN'T. IT CAN INCLUDE HALLUCINATIONS, FALSE BELIEFS AND PARANOIA. IT DOES NOT MAKE SOMEONE VIOLENT OR DANGEROUS, OR MORE PRONE TO HURTING PEOPLE.
This applies to so many other "less popular" mental illnesses and disorders and I'd just love it if it was portrayed as more normal in media and not always given to violent or antagonistic characters. Or to make it seem like someone is "Kooky" and "losing it". If you're explaining shitty behavior on mental illness symptoms that's pretty damn insulting to mentally ill people. Don't fucking interact if you still label people psychos or think mental illness makes people abuse others.
On an additional note, it'd also be good if people with anger issues, regardless of if they stem from mental illness or not, would be portrayed kindly and respectfully
(Neurodivergent (<-includes schizophrenia, psychosis and other cluster b disorders) people are welcome to add on or correct me on the terminology used, neurotypicals and everyone else stay respectful, this isn't about you)

MUCH NEEDED BYF POST LOL
i shouldve made one sooner but i didnt. here it is
DO NOT INTERACT:
-proship.
-homophobes, biphobes, transphobes. this includes nonbinary people and gay/bi people you don't agree with. a bisexual uncomfortable with mspec labels is not the end of the world i promise.
-if you use the phrase D/A to describe a psychotic's experiences.
-endogenic "system" supporters. unless you want to learn about why it's harmful i don't want you here. this applies to any other ableists who find me.
-further, those who call people sysmeds and traumascum. this technically falls under ableism.
-those who consume overtly problematic media without being critical of it.
-im listing transphobia again because I know someone will ignore it the first time. this includes transandrophobia deniers and trans fetishizers
-"radical inclusionists"
there you go. i think that's it. carrd coming soon if i can figure out how to make them not ugly looking LOL

yo, im trying to weigh the pros and cons of getting professionally diagnosed with something. my therapist seems more willing than my last one but i still think itll be hard for me to bring up. for those of you diagnosed with schizophrenia/schizoaffective, what were the struggles and what should I expect when I bring it up next time I see my therapist? only share what you're comfortable with sharing of course but yeah thanks !!

you are not "inclusive" for excusing ableism. it is not "gatekeeping" to tell you that you should not excuse ableism. you are hurting traumatized people and it is very obvious you don't care.
