What do you guys think of learning PHP as I continue on my road to software development? I'm considering taking the MIT courses also. Feel free to let me know!

In the end the Obama administration is not afraid of whistleblowers like me, Bradley Manning or Thomas Drake. We are stateless, imprisoned, or powerless. No, the Obama administration is afraid of you. It is afraid of an informed, angry public demanding the constitutional government it was promised — and it should be.

Hey guys, I'm still going strong learning Objective-C through this new textbook. I apologize for not blogging enough, I don't really know what to talk about with me just working through all these chapters. I guess when I start working on a project, I'll blog throughout that. Feel free to contact me! Stay Frosty. redingri

Hey guys, just made it through the first chapter of this new textbook, and it's actually pretty easy to follow. Of course I always take handwritten notes, so it's easy for me to look back and review. Stay Frosty. redingri

Alrighty, well I found an awesome book on amazon that I will download straight to an iPad, that will teach me extensively on Objective-C, WHILE assuming no prior knowledge of C language. Which is awesome for me. This is what i'll be doing all day, of course blogging simultaneously. Stay Frosty. redingri

Thanks for the reply! This does look like a great resource, but I do not have any prior knowledge of C language, and it lists that as a prerequisite.

Happy Sunday
Hey Guys
How's everybody doing today? I'm going to try to spend the majority of the day at the computer working on development, and I'm interested in starting to learn some objective-c coupled with iOS development. I'm looking at some books on BarnesnNoble.com, and I see a few good books. What are you all using or have used to learn Objective-c? Any and all feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Alright guys, I'm back at the computer today! I've decided to take a break from my Java course because I have started to fade out more and more on that. The teacher doesn't really explain things anymore, and I find myself writing code that I have no idea what it does. So I'll come back to that. I've seen some really cool things done with ruby, so I'll be heading to codecademy.com, and possibly learnstreet.com today, to see what I can do over there. As always, I'll keep you guys posted. Hey guys, was busy all day today, so I wasn't able to get to my computer and write some more code. More blogs will definitely follow in the next couple days. I'd love to hear what all of you are working on! Stay Frosty. redingri

FIN. I have completed Unit One in my Java learning process, now onto Unit Two! In the epilogue to Unit One, the author talked about how he plans to implement a new style of teaching for Unit Two, so I'm interested to see how that will vary from the first. He also said this unit will be very dedicated to game development, which seems like a very fun way to learn Java, and I'm all for it! Stay Frosty. redingri

Well, I have worked through the 'basics' section of the Java course, now I move onto learning Java through game development. This has a ton of promise to be a lot of fun, and to teach me in a much more hand on way than I have before. OH! In the last lesson, I worked through 'for' loops, but there wasn't enough information there for me to blog about. I will continue to blog simultaneously with my software development. Here we go! Wow! Just finished an awesome section on loops, so much fun! I worked with a while loop that helped me count from one number, to another, and tell me how many numbers were in between. Sounds like a silly things to get excited about, but it's an awesome feeling just because I can do it. Now, just being the 17 year old boy I am, I thought to myself, "What if I had the computer count down from negative one billion?" Well, I went ahead and did it, and my program executed it to perfection. Although it would've taken forever for the program to finish if I hadn't of terminated it at about 970 million.
