im gonna be honest i think the "adrien being a sentimonster was randomly thrown in season 4 with no planning on the writers' part" theory is really funny. like the writers of this show are just so bad at their job and so stupid that they tripped and fell in season 1 episode mr pigeon and accidentally spilled "a strange relationship to feathers" all over adrien by accident. they stubbed their toe on the coffee table and accidentally set up a mystery surrounding emilie's relationship to a feathery miraculous in season 1 volpina before we even knew what its powers were. then they spilled coffee all over their favorite shirts and at the same time spilled more white feathers around adrien in season 2 episode gorizilla. while writing the same episode someone had a really nasty sneeze and got boogers all over the script that said "use the imagery of two twin rings intertwined as the opener for the film of adrien's dead mother". they forgot to look both ways before crossing the street while writing the season 2 finale and were struck by a truck labeled "the peacock miraculous gives life" and then by a second truck with the license plate "it does so using white feathers identical to the white feathers that surround adrien in his ads" at the same time. they plummeted down an open manhole and hit the ground with a loud whack that sounded like "sentimonsters like bugette are just as real as any human..... and isn't bugette so...... perfect?" in season 3. on their way to the hospital they slipped on ice that had frozen in such a way to perfectly resemble the sentence "the word 'perfect' is consistently used throughout the series and by the creator ominously to denote how characters like adrien and kagami are 'different from everyone else', ever since season 1 episode simon says". during season 3 someone on the team got food poisoning and when they threw up felix came out instead and started another whacky series of comedic errors. the answer to the mystery of "how and why did emilie die? what life did adrien's loving mother create that she was willing to die for?" was originally gonna be "idk maybe she just exploded or somehting" probably, but then there was a really painful rock in one of the writers' shoes while walking to work that put them in a mood so bad that they forgot their original plan and instead made some bullshit up that somehow ended up being something that made sense with what we knew and put all the puzzle pieces together and actually made the show even more interesting and impactful on a rewatch because it put a lot of shots that at the time seemed random into a new and logical perspective as clear foreshadowing. it's actually impressive how stupid these silly clown writers are that they put strangely specific things so consistently throughout the entire series that resembled foreshadowing while never actually having intended it a single time! like........... really.......... really impressive............... i think..............

Can you imagine how deeply Keith misses Lance post war?

But not the Lance of that moment, no.

The Lance of before the war ended. The one that was his right hand/co leader, the one that kept him afloat when shiro went missing again, the one that he'd grown close to.

Because now all he sees when he looks at the boy he loves, is a shell.

In his dreams it's always the Lance without the marks, the Lance that had a smile actually reach his eyes, the Lance that would laugh genuinely and so bright.

Keith goes on a mission to find some lost object and it leads him to a woman known for helping do just that.

She throws Keith and his team into a blank dreamscape saying the guardian of lost things will take shape of ones deepest trust. Ones deepest love, ones deepest wish.

The gaurdian takes the shape of Paladin Lance. The one that used to confide in him, the one that used to spend so much time with him.

Keith is frozen still as he looks at a Lance that's so happy, so playful. Nothing at all like the Lance he'd grown used to seeing now.

The guardian dances around him teasingly with Lances voice, with his smile, with his laugh.

Someone asks why it's Lance and the gaurdian chuckles in a way Keith hadn't heard from real Lance in years.

"because..." Those blue eyes focus in on Keith with the brightest twinkle "Keith missed me the most~"

The guardian steps closer running a hand across Keith's arm as he walks around him in observation. "I simply took the appearance of his heart, he trusts this face so I will Keep it as I guide you."

No one says anything else and Keith's eyes never once leave that face. No Altean markings, no visible depression, no dulled skin.

He's so unfairly alive it hurts. Keith never thought he mourned someone still living so deeply but he did. He was mourning a Lance that no longer existed.

Once the objects location is shown to them the gaurdian turns to Keith for the final time. This time he wears a gentle smile, eyes soft and filled with worry "you love him don't you?"

Keith doesn't even have to think "I do."

The gaurdian is silent for a moment as if milling over its options "speak to him, he is lost too."

And they wake up with the missing object sitting safely in Keith's hands.

All he can think about though is Lances face, young and free.

whenever someone calls USAmerican English the 'movie accent' I remember how somewhere last year I was on a train when suddenly the silence was broken by an american voice behind me somewhere and I immediately thought "Oh no, someones playing their tiktoks out loud again" and automatically turned around to put a face to my annoyance like you do when someones driving bad, and turns out a few rows down were just some actual in the flesh USAmericans having a nice conversation amongst themselves. I am sorry Americans I'm glad they let you out of the phone

Okay wait stop. You were so right. This was so insanely good. The plot was well thought out and the characters were well written and evolved. I literally read this in one sitting and now I need everyone to go do the same. This deserves waaaay more than 300 kudos!

I wanted to do this bc i was bored, so here’s vld characters (main team at least) and what super power(s) I think they’d have

No specific order just whoever I felt like doing

Also my bad for grammar mistakes and wtv

Pidge-

1. Reading minds for SUREEE. She’s a genius and I feel like that also means she’s good at reading people too, so she’d read minds. At first whenever it first started I think she definitely couldn’t control when she heard thoughts, and it was kinda overwhelming, but eventually she figured out how to control it and when. She also probably has rhis sometimes cool sometimes not side effect where everything she hears she will remeber no matter what (unless she gets like extreme head trauma and can’t remeber anything but that’s probably not gonna happen) which is also really helpful to add onto her regular extreme smarts.

2. Being able to craft/tinker with/create things incredibly fast. In canon she already makes stuff really quick but I bet it’s kinda like a “time moves normally for her but to everybody else she’s moving at inhuman speeds” however this power can’t be activated outside of when she’s building, she’s tried and it never works.

Keith-

1. Shape shifting, this probably sounds like out of the blue and it kinda is. But he’s galra, even if galra can’t shape shift they still give off those vibes. I also think he’d have it because he’s always adapting to new environments, even if he is struggling. He was canonically(?) moved from home to home, which is adapting to new environments. He also went from the garrison to the desert, to space, etc. Not only location but also roles and shit like that, he was forced into leading voltron and even if he didn’t start off very good he managed to adapt, and he’s really good at adapting. At first I think he’d have a hard time controlling when or where it happened, and what he turned into. I think eventually he just suppressed it and it never happened really ever until he was in space. Somebody on the team (up to whoever’s reading this) probably convinced him that being able to control it would heavily benifit the team and he probably started training to control it. When the end of the canon show happens he most likely dosent have it under full control, like if he sneezes or smth he might accidentally lose a limb for a second. Hes working on it though!!!!

2. Teleportation. I KNOWWW he has kosmo, BUT I think he’d have teleportation. This also kinda ties into the “moving around a ton” but also because he (in my head) feels very intimidated by confrontation, and situations where he has to admit his faults (me core). He most likely developed teleportation due to getting stuck in so many situations where he had to confront people and apologize (bc he acted up and what not when he was little) and that always stressed him out. Eventually one day he just kinda ‘poof’ and he probably didn’t question it. I think he’d have good control over it from the start and would deffos use it to get away from situations he didn’t want to be in (even if this got him in trouble a lot). Over time he probably managed to learn how to teleport other things, and eventually other people with him. (also his teleportation effects would be like a swirl 🌀 in the air where he was standing, then where he appears and a very shortened/sped up nether portal sound)

Lance-

1. This is a very small one, but probably having on spot aim no matter what. Canonically he has amazing aim, and I think without the powers in this universe he’d still have great aim. The bullets are just effected by his power to always hit the target.

2. To control liquids?? Hoping this makes sense. He’s always been kinda insecure about this because it’s not as useful as other powers (at least in his eyes). I think it fits him because although there are some usless powers, this one is kinda seen as usless to close minded people, however if you actually pay attention and work with it, it’s insanely powerful. Just like LANCE!!!! (so proud of myself for this one) When he was a kid he most deffos was made fun of for having such a “usless power” which caused him to never really use it. Eventually when he joined the garrison, he started practicing more, however he was never really that good. No matter what he did he didn’t have the right control or time to deal with it. He shut it away again and didn’t really let it flow (haha get it) until there was a fight on some planet with some large body of water. Then he kinda like lost control and the water erupt like a geizer kinda??? And created a massive tsunami killing basically everybody who wasn’t protected by Lance. After that the team literally forced him to start working on his ability, starting small then getting bigger. ALSO when I say liquid i mean any liquid/thing that has liquid in it. A box that has liquid he could move around as long as the liquid was inside. Rain he could control the direction of the droplets. Lava he could do wtv he wanted with, etc. Let ur creativity go wild with this.

Hunk-

1. Okay this one’s kinda basic, but super strength. Now I know he’s like generalized to have this (he might not be and I might have just tricked myself into thinking this) because the yellow lion is the strongest and most blast resistant. But think about it, his name is Hunk, he’s Hunky, he could probably lift a car when he was like four. Hes also a very emotionally strong character if you know what I mean? He may be characterized as being emotional, but he’s good if you need a shoulder to lean on. Hes always there when a team member needs to talk, and he’s very supportive person. Why wouldn’t he ALSO be a very supportive person in the “could hold up a house if he tried hard enough” way!!! (When he was a kid he totally picked up a big ass truck parked on the side of the road because a car was under it and he was worried about the poor thing, like just imagine tiny hunk lifting up this massive truck, setting it aside, then running over to pick up a fucking cat, then lifting the truck up again and putting it back)

2. Having minor truth serum effects, like when people are around him they just want to tell him everything. If he asks them a question you bet ur ass they’re gonna tell him by the end of the day. I think this because once again, people on the team a lot of times go to him for advice and a shoulder to lean on, because they know they’re gonna be able to tell him whatever’s happening and he won’t judge.

Shiro-

1. Honestly I have no clue what to do for him so this might sound like really strange, but telepathy? Hear me out, he’s good at keeping things under control. He’s good AT controlling things. Why couldn’t he also literally control things. He most likely couldn’t control people, just objects. However he could use said objects to control people (like moving their clothes while they’re wearing them) His ability to do this was probably always super strong, just not very under control. Like when he was a baby he probably started floating literally everything in the room bc he was throwing a fit for some reason. Overtime I bet he learned to control it super well and super quick.

OKAY IM GETTING TRIED bc it’s 5am, so i’m gonna do coran and allura v quickly.

Coran-

Being able to speak and understand every language, even if he didn’t know the language existed. Like if voltron meets a knew alien species coran would immediately be able to understand and speak their language after hearing like one word.

Allura-

Mind control, idk why, but she seems like a mind control girl??? She probably never uses it as she deems it bad and unethical. However in emergencies she does.
