Summary: Thinking you’re alone in the tower you’re just relaxing and chilling by yourself till you get scared by Sam Wilson. Then ensures a rap concert for the two of you, by the two of you.
Dancing in the shared kitchen with your playlist blasting through F.R.I.D.A.Y while making yourself lunch. You thought that everyone was out on a mission, diplomatic service or out relaxing enjoying their time off. You started singing along to the song;
“Party in the city where the heat is on, All night, on the beach till the break of dawn
"Welcome to Miami" "Bienvenidos a Miami"
Bouncin' in the club where the heat is on”
You started swaying your hips side to side, sliding back towards the fridge to return the ham and cheese to the fridge. You slid into something solid and heard a voice say; “Whoa there cutie.” immediately dropping the packets you were holding, whirling around ready to throw a punch. Sam grabbed the fist just before it connected with his face.
“Don’t creep on people! I could’ve hurt you!” you screamed.
He laughed as the music carried on, “You think that is gonna hurt me?” He laughed louder. “Barnes definitely hits harder than that, and he’s at least a billion years old.”
You laughed a bit yourself and freed your hand. “Sorry, but seriously, announce yourself before you scare a girl!” You chuckled again. “I was having a good time before you gave me a heart attack, thought you were out?”
“Came back for lunch, and apparently a show.” He smirked at you, as you blushed, leaning against the counter opposite the fridge.
Opening the fridge you place the packets back into it and take a can of coke out, offering Sam one. He took the offered can, “Thanks for the compliment. It should have been a good show.” She shrugged lightly. “I’ve practiced it enough.” laughing, she tucked her hair behind her ear.
“Oh yeah? You into 90s Hip-Hop?”
“Course, F.R.I.D.A.Y - play the next song in the playlist.” Gangster’s Paradise came on and Sam mouthed Oohhhh just as it started playing and you took a deep breath and started rapping along to it, dancing and doing hand gestures along to lyrics;
“As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I take a look at my life and realize there's not much left, 'Coz I've been blastin' and laughin' so long,”
Just as Sam joined in, dancing along to it;
“Even my mama thinks that my mind is gone, But I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it, Me be treated like a punk you know that's unheard of, You better watch how you're talkin', and where you're walkin'”
They both started laughing, “You’re not too bad,” Sam said, nudging your shoulder.
“Not bad yourself, ya know - considering this is my show.” You laughed again.
“Do you have Shoop in your playlist?” He asks, opening and drinking from the can in his hand.
She nods, also drinking from her can - placing it next to her sandwiches. “F.R.I.D.A.Y, Shoop please.”
The song started up and they both started swaying and dancing along to it. Before both starting to rap;
“Hey, yeah I wanna shoop, baby. Ooh, how you doin', baby? No, not you. You, the bow-legged one, yeah. What's your name? Damn, that sounds sexy uh. Here I go, here I go, here I go again (again?) Girls, what's my weakness?”
You pointed to Sam as you rap “Men”
He burst out laughing, doubling over as you continued rapping along and dancing to the song. Sam eventually joined back in till the song finished. You bowed after your performance. “I hope you enjoy my rapping.” laughing, you tucked your hair behind your ear before picking up your lunch. “But I’m starving, so I’m off to eat my lunch.”
“Not gonna share your lunch with your performance buddy?” Sam pouted, holding his coke up to his mouth.
You rolled your eyes, snickering slightly, but gestured him to follow you to your spot on the couch; he obliged, bringing over a large packet of chips that were on the side and a packet of cookies. He sat next to you as you bought your legs up onto the sofa and curled into a ball placing the plate on top of your legs, “You can have half if I can have some of those.” She pointed to the snacks on his lap.
He nodded, wrapping an arm around the back of the sofa and pinching half of the sandwiches. “I can share, what’s in here?”
“Ham, cheese and mayo.” She said, taking a bite herself while Sam took the cheese out, leaving it on her plate. “F.R.I.D.A.Y can you put Brooklyn Nine-Nine on.” She asked, settling in comfortably against his arm.
He opened the chips, putting them in the sandwich before taking bites. Sam offered some, you gestured to your plate and he emptied half the pack onto it. “Hope you eat all that. Cuz that’ll be a waste.”
She laughed, “I don’t plan on moving all afternoon Birdie.”
He cringed at the nickname, “Alright Tremor, don’t mind some company do you?”
She rolled her eyes again and playfully hit his chest. “I suppose you’ll make it more interesting.”
He put his feet up on the table as he settles in, they eat their lunch together and chat about the show. Eventually, they get hungry again and go grab more snacks; popcorn, cookies, chocolate, and pretzels are bought back. They change from B99 to a couple of movies; Space Jam, The Mask and Wayne’s World and watch them well into the night.
Towards the end of Wayne’s World you both start drifting off, you on Sam’s shoulder and him resting on top of your head. When he feels the weight on his shoulder get heavier, he looks down and smiles a little. He lazily grabs the blanket off to his right and wraps it around the both of them, laying his head on hers again as he drops off back to sleep again
