Your art and animations are amazing! If I may ask, how do you achieve that 'soft' look in them, if you get what I mean?

hmm, not exactly sure what you're pertaining to, but i do think that coloring the "inside lines" of most of my art makes things look softer! apart from that i think i just draw things kind of roundly probably HAHA

not the biggest of differences, but it reduces the sharpness of the outlines for me

Hello hello, hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to know ask this: How do you do so many things (art, web development, etc.) and keep a constant passion of it? I always seem to drop hobbies/work because I don’t see anything beyond it for me and I want to know if you’ve ever had to combat that? (It sounds like a lengthy question, but I just wanted to know from your point of you)

ooh it definitely seems that way out in public, but i do get burned out with specific hobbies! especially back in my teen years. i would always think "it has to be one or the other" when it came to art, programming, and music, but i realized throughout my young adulthood that all of these things make me really happy and i don't really wanna go through life without knowing what it feels like to touch on each of them

i definitely still get burned out by them! if i program more than 3 hours a day my head starts hurting because my brain is small and if i draw for more than 12 without breaks (which i have done before for work) i stop drawing completely for a while HAHAHA i think i've also just found a point where i know how much of what hobby i can handle per day per week 👍 and i need to stress that i love the mediums a lot!

one thing that helped me greatly is looking at really cool work from really great people and changing my mindset from "i can never be as good as them, why am i trying so hard?" to "wow, it would be really cool if i could get good like that -- i want to try!" after switching to that thinking, i started thinking that i'd always improve as long as i keep at it and stay inspired (even if the progress isn't as fast as i want it to be)! another thing is that i really enjoy doing these things, i have a lot of abandoned projects throughout the years, but that doesn't mean i can't or shouldn't start new ones. dont gatekeep urself!!!

it's definitely a hassle when u start mixing it in with time management and overthinking ur capabilities!! but if it ultimately makes you happy then scheduling a few hours per day can go a long way for your mental wellbeing. a hobby should feel fun :)

checking the first tweet i had on it it started out w/zelda as a biology major and link as a varsity student! i never specified a major for him per se, but i'd imagine it would be sports science (or.. after totk... maybe an engineering program... who knows... HAHA)

ooh they are out actually!! i made them into a sticker pack a little bit after i released the original video :)

they're available for free on Telegram, Discord, and Signal, which are all platforms that allow user-made stickers/emojis!

unfortunately the 3rd party service i used to allow access to it on WhatsApp and iMessage doesn't really work anymore (plus they're fan stickers, so i don't really have the authority to have them up on messaging apps with stricter guidelines!)

i don't have a solid schedule for the AU videos, but i do have one planned/scripted out i can hopefully get out by Q2 or Q3 of this year! they're a lot of work because i want to improve on my older animations, and getting them to over a minute long takes a long while 😭 i make smaller animations in between to keep momentum!

i also don't have a solid plot for the AU!! will they kiss (will i be strong/unembarrassed enough to animate that LOL)?? we'll see eventually HAHAHA i'm really just drawing a ship i enjoy a lot it brings me a lot of joy hehe

ive always wanted to draw but just like writing i always make mistakes and erase it immediately and its embedded in me. should i start with a tablet with a program that has an erasing feature or should i start with simple pencil and sketchbook and learn from those mistakes?

ooh, from my experience the best way to learn and improve your sketches is to stop erasing and just draw! even if it looks wrong to you, your sketchbook is yours and a reflection of your progress. mistakes also lessen after practicing how to draw something a few dozen times

i started using only pens for sketching a few years back and it helps with practice and confidence a lot! if you make a mistake, there's always another chance to draw it (and it'll actually fill up the sketchbook). plus, you'll wont have to dwell very long on one sketch that you feel isn't perfect -- not that is has to be!

for digital sketching, i usually limit myself to drawing a stroke as cleanly as i can. this is what worked for me, but it's okay if other ways work for you! please feel free to explore and experiment with art as you wish!! 🙆‍♀️💗 good luck on your art journey!!
