Then she sees her or him- The old friend for the first time in the centuries. Alexander promised to meet again Laurens, but nobody thought that it would happen like a girls- who meet again in 2004

I had a motivation to draw this- I hope you liked it, yes the idea is good and they came back to my mind when I finally figured out the plot :)

Words can't tell how much I love looking at Laurens' drawings, the man was very talented.

I wonder if there are drawings unknown to us and drawn by him. It is quite interesting.

Oh yes, repairing his legacy and honor was a thing always dear to Hamilton's heart. And he was always reckless. Thank you for the answer!! <3

I think also the times forced him to duel him, because if he didn't do so he would be perceived as UNHONORABLE or something like that. You know the people then were much more brave and ready to defend their honor, that they were willing to die for it.

Hamilton and Duel?

What do you think about Hamilton and Burr's duel, there are questions i ask myself constantly such like "Why did he accept the challenge when he was disgusted with duels?" and "why did he wear his glasses if actually did, after he claimed that he wasn't going to shoot? AND THE MOST INTERESTING THING, Did he really want to die? I've read this several times in biographies and on the internet, and the idea that he wanted to win with Burr, dying and making the Vice president the villain in the History seems to be very created in Hamilton's mind.

yeah I've been working on this for so long and finally finished.

I discovered that Laurens came back to the camp on the 11th january 1781. Hamilton arrived shortly after him and we are not sure about the time when John departed, but sure between 15-19th January 1781, and Eliza joined her husband in a few days after him arriving at the camp around 17th January and If John hadn't departed it is only historically possibility for them to met. ^^^ this fic is about it.

i don’t make many actual historical posts on here, but aside from having studied history, I research in my spare time as well, and I love a historical ~mystery~

(This might not be a mystery to some, but it was to me, so if it was a mystery to you too look no further xD. Equally, I’m sure someone else has made a post about it at some point).

But! I’ve seen this...interesting image floating around a lot, credited to the dubious artistic talent of Alexander Hamilton:

And though incredibly hilarious, I wanted to know if it was actually his dodgy ass talent or not?

Well, after much wasted(?) time and ridiculous stubbornness, I have located it xD

It is on page 76 of “New York August 31 1776: Pay Book of the State Company of Artillery Commanded by Alexr Hamilton” which can be found in the Library of Congress online.

The Dying Veteran- Walt Whitman

Amid these days of order, ease, prosperity, Amid the current songs of beauty, peace, decorum, I cast a reminiscence--(likely 'twill offend you, I heard it in my boyhood;)--More than a generation since, A queer old savage man, a fighter under Washington himself, (Large, brave, cleanly, hot-blooded, no talker, rather spiritualistic, Had fought in the ranks--fought well--had been all through the Revolutionary war,) Lay dying--sons, daughters, church-deacons, lovingly tending him, Sharping their sense, their ears, towards his murmuring, half-caught words: "Let me return again to my war-days, To the sights and scenes--to forming the line of battle, To the scouts ahead reconnoitering, To the cannons, the grim artillery, To the galloping aides, carrying orders, To the wounded, the fallen, the heat, the suspense, The perfume strong, the smoke, the deafening noise; Away with your life of peace!--your joys of peace! Give me my old wild battle-life again!"

This made me cry. It is sad to look at our revolutionary boys like old people, dying.

The new generacion do not understand their feelings and THAT YOUNG MEN FULL OF LIFE DURING THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR , (who managed to survive) started to be a older people, dying from an old age, and their children were then young as they were during the war.  The new generation witnessed the death of Washington's soldiers and it all happened 200 years ago I'M CRYING AGAIN.

 Laurens was a gentleman so he respected woman as much as he could and in the same way he wasn't keen on women's rights itc, but it is very connected with his growing in the family and in the society that would teach him like this, but i think if he had been ( miraculously) a friend with a woman, he would be kind to her at least and liked talking to her but it would took so much time, and mostly it would be a revenge? on a past lover (Hammy) if he survived the war? idk what you think about it? 

there are so many people who know more than me so tell me about what do you think about it? :)
