“I heard Johnny's going to kill anyone who wants Lola.” “Boys are so dumb, all this fighting over her? She's just going to dump them for another toy the next day.” “Maybe this will break Johnny off of her for good though.” “I doubt it. Its kind of hot though. How-” Pete hurried past the gossiping group of girls. He needed to find Jimmy and fast. Tensions with the Greasers had reached its peak, which means now is the time to strike..

Yet, Pete knew if they weren't careful, Jimmy might end up in the hospital instead. Greasers acted like a wolf pack, unlike the other cliques. If one Greaser fights, they all fight. If one gets down another stands up. They don't runaway. They gang up until everyone is down. And if its Johnny that wants to beat him down, the Greasers are going to make certain he has every thing going his way. Jimmy needed his help this time. Pete busted into the Boy's dorm praying Jimmy was here, but no luck. Just the squeaks of rats scurrying across the floor. A familiar sinister laugh and a slap to his shoulder, made Pete scream and jump back. The boy laughed harder, before shoving the smaller teen back. “OH MAN! AHAHAH- You really are such a girl!” “Gary! What the hell?!” “You're too easy. Seriously. So, what's it like?” Gary grinned as he clapped his hands together. “Ugh, I don't have time for this.” Pete tried to walk around Gary. Gary grabbed him by the vest, pulling him up to him. “ What's the hurry? Just answer the damn question, Fem-boy.” Gary shoved Pete back towards the common room. “Or are you too good for me now that you've been riding Hopkins-” “What what's like, Gary?” Pete sighed, cutting Gary off. His arms crossed, trying not to look scared. His skin crawled as his stomach twisted into knots. “Oh, you know~,” Gary hummed with a grin. His eyes piercing through Pete's weak armor, just making Pete more nervous by the second. “What's it like to be the biggest pathetic loser in the school? How does it feel that your ONLY “friend” is about to get sent to the hospital and probably shipped off to prison. Or better yet, a nursing home with how much brain damage Johnny's going to inflict on him.”

Pete gritted his teeth as he glared. Of course Gary knew what was happening. He probably set it up. “That's not going to happen!” “Oh-ho. And whose going to stop it? You? HAHAHA! Don't make me laugh!” Gary poking harshly at Pete's chest. “Going to whack them with your purse? Cry and beg for them not to hurt him? OH PLEASE don't hurt him! He's the only moron with low enough standards that'll fuck me! Pfft. Like that'll work.” Pete clenched his fist and his face scrunched in disgust. Gary was more than a Jerk, he was a fucking asshole. “Let's face it, Pete. You're as useless as you are pathetic!” Gary started circling Pete, like a bird about to dive on its prey. “Don't worry though. If you beg nicely enough, I MIGHT forgive you for being a traitor. Hell, I might even let you lick my boot once I rule the school. Since I'm just OH so generous.” “Piss off, Gary. You're such a-” Pete tried to shove Gary away from him, but Gary grabbed his wrists instead.

“Such a jerk? Really now?” Gary squeezed tightly around Pete's wrists, making the boy squirm in pain. “After I offer to let you be level with my boot instead of under them like all the other morons in this school?” “Let. Me. Go! Ow-bastard!” Pete yanked and pulled, trying to get out of Gary's grip, but his efforts were in vain. “Oof. Bringing out the swear words. Petey, how could you? In this house of God?” Gary not even phased as he just dug his fingers into Pete's wrists. “You mean Satan.” Pete hissed, stopping his struggling to glare at Gary. Gary laughed his dorky laugh, “Same difference, isn't it?” Police sirens rang out in the distance, making the boys freeze in place. There was many of them. Pete's eyes widened in fear. Jimmy... “Oh man! This is just getting better!” Gary let go of Pete's wrists with a push, making the boy fall back into the couch, before sliding to the ground. “Ouch.” Pete rubbed his wrist, hissing as he shifted to try and stand back up. “Ah, I must admit. I am romantic at heart. So who am I to get in the way of star-cross losers?” Gary was bouncing on his feet. “Go on, Fem-boy. Go find that boyfriend of yours.. or what's left of him, anyways.” “You're not going to win this Gary.” Pete said as once he rushed past him. Gary only laughed in response, as the doors closed behind Pete. Pete ran to the parking garage, grabbing his bike. His lungs were on fire, but he needed to find Jimmy. He peddled as fast as he could to New Coventry. Once or twice almost hitting someone and the almost getting hit by a car. The streets were mayhem. Greasers and students all over the place, throwing weapons from firecrackers to snowballs with rocks in them. Police unable to contain any of them for long. “Hey, you!” A Police officer yelled at him. Pete peddled off, his adrenaline pumping as he lost the Police Officer by dunking into the alley. He can't believe he evaded arrest. His mom would be furious if she knew. Not the time, Pete. His eyes catching the sight of Greasers running by chasing a preppie. Pete dropped his bike and turned the corner to hide between the buildings. “Stay still rich boy!” “You think its smart to cross Johnny now!” “Yeah, Lola's Johnny's girl-” “Hey, Guys!”

Pete slapped a hand over his mouth as the two stopped in the alley way. He slid down hoping to hide behind the knocked over trash cans. He could see them out the corner of his eye. “Everyone to the junkyard, and fast! Johnny gots a surprise for that fuckboy, Hopkins.” One of the greasers, Peanut, yelled trying to collect members of their gang. “Finally! About time. Let's make him a new one!” “Po already got Jimmy and Johnny on the run, we don't have much time.” Pete felt his heart beating out of his chest. He knew it. They were going to gang up on Jimmy. Pete took his bike once the Greasers left, and hurried to the junkyard. He ditched his bike once he was close, to avoid being seen. He hid around tries, a hand over his mouth to try and keep his noise down. Luckily the Greasers were too riled up to hear anything over each other. Pete eyed the stack of junk some of the greasers were using to get over the fence and only the stacked cars. He turned his head to look at the dirt road, leading to the entrance of the junkyard. He saw one of them hiding behind a tree, something in his hands. Further down the road he saw two figures skid around the curve. The trap was set and about to go off. Pete didn't think. He ran and climbed up over the fence, following the Greasers. Once on top, he heard Jimmy yell as he rolled into the junkyard painfully. The junkyard gates closing. Johnny was sitting on his bike with a pipe in hand. Pete took his eyes off to look around, quickly latching onto the crane. It was on the opposite side. He needed to get by the other Greasers to get to it. “Hey Jimmy! Help me get to the crane!”

ok, so. marriage of convenience au where raven and svensen get married after nato so they cannot be forced to flip on each other during the Trial(tm)

and then they just don't get a divorce after because svensen doesn't really care and marriage is too good an excuse to cover for some of the shit they get up to (and the medical stuff/emergency contact list etc.). raven, however comes up with every reason under the sun why they absolutely shouldn't get divorced whenever anyone else brings it up. because.

because he is emotionally involved and unreasonably attached to his partner in war crimes and damn if he hasn't been thinking (read: fantasising) about this exact scenario for years. so he's not about to let go, even though he is literally the only one with skin in the game.

svensen "only" cares for him as a friend, sometimes with benefits but he's first and foremost a pragmatist and it's all about convenience to him

raven/bobby does still happen (initially only to make svensen jealous but that fails because he's genuinely happy for raven), and raven does have Real, Actual feelings for him, but they don't get married (they can't because raven refuses to let go, he's not going to prioritise the man he loves over the man he's fought and bled beside, even if he could move on romantically if he did because he'd still view it as a form of betrayal and raven would Never betray svensen. it's just not happening) and they don't have a daughter.

bobby eventually breaks up with raven, he refuses to play second fiddle to raven's old war buddy—though he does respect the hell out of the man on the field.

there is a lot of resentment involved, and svensen is mostly confused, he thought raven was happy and ready to get settled, although divorce still didn't come up, but he's there to comfort raven through it all in his usual, gruff way. raven goes back to being miserable. what can you do?

it just goes on like this, they are just two best friends Who Are Also Married, and raven is tragically in love with svensen who leans on him throughout his various unrequited crushes, though only as a buddy would, not in a spouse sort of way lmao raven isn't that lucky.

over the years, raven bitches and moans to kozlov who he has sworn to secrecy and who doesn't want to hear about any of this, no, thank you, but his loyalty to raven supercedes everything else in his life. alas, he is forced to endure. they're all so very loyal to the core and it fucks them constantly but like hell they'll give this up.

eventually, svensen considers divorce because he gets serious enough about someone (take your pick of who of my favoured svensen ships would actually have the balls to demand this). raven denies him because they said Til Death Do Us Part and he meant it and he expects svensen to mean it as well (and he's ultimately selfish enough to justify this to himself lol they are both selfish people when it comes down to it).

so svensen grins and bears it and all of it is terribly toxic (marriage of convenience HAHAHA). what raven doesn't consider, though, is the possibility that svensen's partner concedes on the marriage and still cares enough to stick around anyway because they're not here to build a family, they're here for svensen and, fuck, they'd be forced to have raven in their life either way so does it really matter all that much? no.

raven still smokes too much and gets cancer, but he also gets his wish because they never divorce and when he finally dies, he's still svensen's legal husband, and svensen continues to be there for him until his final breath and he doesn't regret anything but he also kind of regrets everything.

he certainly doesn't die content.

svensen does not get married again after raven's death (though he does manage to keep his relationship going in spite of himself) and kozlov takes raven's secrets to the grave with him, so he never finds out how fucking inconvenient this all really was for raven or how deeply he felt for him.

I ship it! (OTP)

What made you ship it? Believe it or not, I don't remember exactly what it was. It's like the Ultimate Perfect Ship for me, it has everything I could wish for (snark! tension! villain/hero drama! complicated past, mutual respect, some degree of fondness, the "no one can kill/hurt you but me" trope is rampant) AND I can also morph it into everything I want according to how I'm feeling on any given day - and it will always work.

So it really could have been anything. I think the Nightwing run of 1994 is what planted the seeds it but I can't be sure at this point.

What are your favorite things about the ship? As I mentioned, the duality of it.

To expand on what I mean, any dynamic between them will work for me. I love it when Slade is a rapist, or he's manipulative, violent, outright abusive. But I also love it when he takes better care of Dick than anyone else in the world, and he's the only one who truly understands him. I love it when Dick does the sweetest most domestic things around Slade because he feels so comfortable and safe. I love it when he spits blood and resentment in his face, realizing just how bad this man broke him. Slade can be a strong&protective guardian angel to Dick, or he can be the reason why Dick is losing his sanity. Dick can be sweet and playful, or drawn to Slade because he's colorblind to red flags, or he's there because he's being blackmailed, or because his daddy issues pushed him into Slade's arms.

Sometimes they're madly in love, sometimes it's just sex, sometimes Slade is a rapist and sometimes he'd tear to shreds anyone who dares touch his most precious and beloved little bird. Sometimes Dick falls for him despite everything and sometimes he gets this close from stepping over the no killing rule because Slade constantly pushes him over the edge.

I love it. I can do whatever I want with these two and it will work. Sladick gives me oxygen.

I had an ask game on the old blog where people would send me Sladick prompts and I would write both the fluff and the dark version of them, and it worked SO WELL. Here's a random entry if you're interested.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I don't know how unpopular this might be, but despite the whole duality thing I mentioned, I don't like a strictly heteronormative, ring-around-the-finger married, vanilla sex, monogamous relationship between those two. I can easily see them happily together and fluffy and domestic, but I can't process how a "straight, normal life" could work for them based on their personalities (unless it's an AU of some kind like a no capes situation), so I tend to not peruse this kind of content. But it might also be that my queer ass defaults to dislike that kind of relationship in the first place.

Sorry this one took a while @csphire, I too got a little carried away and wrote probably way more than I was supposed to bwahahaha But I hope you enjoy! 😉 Obligatory disclaimer that there's some very horny/suggestive things in some of these answers, and also there WILL be spoilers for the plot of the game so like. Do not read if you're someone who hates spoilers and hasn't played through the whole game yet etc etc.

Also, I'm playing loosey-goosey with the lore in some respects because I'm here to have a good time, not a 100% canon compliant time. If you don't like that then just stay off my posts for the sake of both our sanities, I beg of you 🙏Rai is a polyamorous bisexual disaster and has a closed polycule with Karlach, Wyll and Dammon (tho I'm going on ~vibes~ and Wyll and Dammon aren't romantically/sexually involved bc I just didn't get that vibe from them while writing. It's a "ah yes, my girlfriends and their cool boyfriend : )" situation from both sides for the guys. They're purely platonic but they both love their girls a whole lot.) And before someone says it, no I don't care that it's not canon in-game. I don't need it to be canon in-game to do it anyway and I will die on this hill so don't try me /hj

XD (oh also trigger warning for mentions of child abuse/mistreatment, and...idk how best to word it other than discussions of being trained as a child soldier and references to past abuse and trauma. What do they find physically sexiest about each other? Going with Rai and Wyll for this one bc I think they have the best answers! ☺️

Rai: The ✨horns✨. Listen. I get why he's upset about them at first. I do. I totally get it. But come ooooonnnnn!! You CANNOT tell me those babies are anything except sexy as FUCK to tieflings. They're fucking beautiful horns, and I like to think Rai's a big factor in Wyll learning to "live with" his horns and maybe eventually like them. Just a little bit. She loves his horns and she'll use any excuse in the book to get her hands all over them. At first she was offering to help him with the horn care because he really had no clue & asked her & Karlach for help (tho Karlach wasn't touchable at the time so Rai had to step up for the physical "here like this" demonstration and that's prolly where it started lol) then it became a little intimacy habit between them, he doesn't need her help anymore but he's not going to say "no" if she asks/offers, ya know? :3 (honourable mention to the time drunk Wyll at the Grove party complained very loudly about having "bumps and stuff where they absolutely should not be" because Rai's only reaction to that was "OOH~ 👀💖" hahaha)

Wyll: This might sound like a weird one, but probably her tail? Rai's very tail-expressive, if she doesn't force it to keep still by wrapping it around her own leg (or someone else *wink wink*) then it's ALWAYS moving around or giving away her emotions in some way! It started out innocent enough in that his eyes were automatically drawn to it because it moves around so much. Even despite growing up in Baldur's Gate for some time and thus being around a fair few tieflings (from my limited understanding of the lore and stuff thus far, don't lynch me hardcore fans, I've never played tabletop 5E or the other baldur's gate games lmao) he'd never met a tiefling that moved their tail so much until he met Rai. But now he can't help but stare when he thinks she isn't looking (she totally knows and does things with it on purpose sometimes just to tease him because she knows Wyll is staring. Rai and Karlach have a running (playfully ofc) bet going about how long it's going to take Wyll to figure out that she knows he stares, he hasn't figured it out just yet 😉 lol) Honourable mention for her eyes bc he thinks they're very pretty uwu and not at all for smutty eye-contact reasons cough I mean what

What was their last big fight? What did they learn from it? You get a two-for-one with this one bc the two fights are interconnected (pov: one half of your polycule gets into a pretty major lovers' tiff and the other half gets dragged into it as collateral damage anyway. Sorry boys lol )

Both these fights are also the focal plot beats for a Hurt/Comfort oneshot, but alas, I can't get away with being too vague with this or the reasons why it was a fight kinda don't match up with the "what they learned from it" in the 2nd part of the question, so just act surprised a while from now when I post the fic, ok? XD(I've got all the dialogues and whatnot plotted out now, just gotta convert it to written prose 🫶 ) This one ran away with me and got REALLY long, sorry (or you're welcome, I guess? lol)

Rai and Karlach: disclaimer: I know in-game it all kinda happens in the same convo but for some ~creative liberty~ (because I love me some good ol' Hurt/Comfort angst) I chopped the convo in half with the first bit happening before the fight (bc something Karlach says in the heat of the moment kicks it all off) and the latter half of Karlach realizing she does still want to live and is upset that she's still dying happening a couple days later, after the spat is resolved.

Karlach technically starts it after she hits out when they've killed Gortash but I wanna be clear when I say both of them are at fault for it. This is not only their biggest fight but also a powder-keg type of situation where things built up over time till they both exploded at eachother for different reasons, see below :

Karlach's very stubborn about not wanting to go back to Avernus at first - even into Act 3. Wyll and Rai ofc offer to go with her, but initially that doesn't help Karlach feel better. The worst thing she could possibly think of is putting two of the people she loves more than anything through the nightmare that is the Blood War. So when Rai keeps bringing it up and keeps pushing her about it, she snaps. Listen, I love Karlach a LOT and I think she means well, genuinely, and would never hurt her partner's feelings on purpose/maliciously. But she's a Yeller when she gets mad - and with Rai that is a BAD kind of mad to be. We see this in-game especially if you have her with you when you run into Gortash, and her heartbreaking meltdown after you kill him.

Logically, Rai knows the autonomy of getting to make that decision - to choose her freedom even if it means that it comes with death as an unwanted consequence - is important to Karlach, and if she was thinking logically at the time she would of course want to respect that. In theory. In practise however, it turned out "just sit there and watch me die" was not a line Rai was willing to draw. She gets pushy about Dammon's suggestion that they should take Karlach back to Avernus to stabilize her Engine, even when Karlach insists she's made her mind up and doesn't want to talk about it anymore. Rai keeps bringing it up over and over again, and insisting that she and Wyll would both go with her if it'd make it less scary for her, and just refuses to take "no" for an answer etc etc

By the time they kill Gortash and Karlach has her little meltdown she's just had enough of Rai throwing the suggestion into what feels like damn-near every conversation they've had since Dammon broke the news to them in Last Light. So she loses her temper and starts shouting before Rai can say it again.

And the thing about Rai is…she's emotionally reactionary. Whatever energy you give her, she'll bounce right back to you, she can't help it and hasn't quite figured out how to stop doing it at that point in time (though she does get better at it in the future!). If you keep your voice calm and level, she might growl and snap her teeth or smack her tail on something a little bit but eventually she'll match your energy and chill out to just talk about things. But if you yell and scream and shout and call her names? She's gonna yell, scream, and call you names back.

And that's exactly what happens. It's a huge miscommunication/misunderstanding between both of them. Karlach makes assumptions about Rai's past despite the fact that unlike Wyll and Dammon, she'd never really asked Rai about her childhood in Elturel or anything like that (again, I'll stress that I don't think this was done with deliberate malice, but I feel like being a little bit selfish is a realistic character flaw for Karlach to have. She's been through a lot and she gets tunnel-visioned on solving her own problems and when you pair that with Rai's brand of "too busy trying to fix everybody else to fix myself" trauma response and it's just an unfortunate combination. Rai never brought her own trauma up, and Karlach never thought to ask) So as a result, she thinks Rai "got lucky" not being in Elturel when it fell and that as a result, Rai is naïve and doesn't know "how bad" Avernus really was. Meanwhile, while she's certainly not as well-acquainted with it as Karlach and Dammon, Rai's not as ignorant as Karlach thinks. Her Mother Superior was a necromancy wizard, and one of Zariel's goons. The temple where Rai was "taken in" and raised was really just a front for training up either spellcasters or sword-fighters (depending on an individual's aptitude and uhh, the way they figured out where to funnel them was to use them as magical target practise until they either threw a spell back at their "tutors" or the staff agreed that it had been long enough and "they're too slow/useless at magic so idk just give them a sword I guess", basically - most of Rai's scars come from the early years where she was used as every other "student"'s magical punching bag, the rest are from Avarice's rituals, except for the one on the end of her tail which she got when Elturel came back and Rai didn't know the tieflings had been exiled so went back to try and look for Dammon, Rolan, Cal and Lia and ended up being attacked and driven off instead) to be ultimately sent to Avernus for Zariel to toss into the Blood War. She's been the unwilling participant in far too many necromancy rituals and while I haven't quite hammered out the full details of this yet, they were definitely not nice and she's definitely ended up looking some brand of devil or other in the eye before, during said rituals. I'm very much going for the angle of if Rai hadn't been assumed dead and left where she'd run off into the woods and she HAD been in Elturel when it went down? She'd have been just as fucked as Karlach was with Gortash. Straight to the Blood War with her, she would've been Infernal Engine prototype 2.0 and she and Karlach would've met fighting in the Blood War. Karlach doesn't know any of this, and thus makes a flippant off-hand comment that rubs the salt right into the open wound that is Rai's survivor's guilt without fully realising she's done it. Instead of staying to talk it out, Rai gets even angrier and storms off despite poor Wyll's best attempts to try and get between them and calm them down.

Dammon and Karlach: After Rai storms off, she finds herself going straight to Forge of the Nine. It's not a surprise really. She's known Dammon the longest and because Rai already felt bad that Wyll was in-between her and Karlach during their fight (they were having a screaming match in the middle of camp, it wasn't exactly quiet, or pretty D: ) she didn't want to make it worse for him by forcing him to pick a side, so Rai made the choice for Wyll and went to Dammon. Rai's so upset at first that Dammon's terrified Karlach's engine has exploded and Rai's here to tell him she's dead. When he finally calms her down enough for Rai to tell him what actually happened, he…doesn't feel that much better. He's too worried about Rai to go marching back to camp and confront Karlach himself, especially when she asks him "can I stay here tonight? I don't want to go back just yet". But he does stew (I like to think Dammon isn't one to get angry often. And even when he does he's not loud and shouty about it. It's more a broody, quiet, "give you the silent treatment" type of thing)

Karlach's the one, after she's calmed down, who ends up checking Dammon's place when the rest of the party split up the next morning to go looking for Rai after they realize she's still gone. Rai sleeps through Karlach's knocking (she had a hard night, did a lot of yelling/screaming and crying, ya girl passed tf out once Dammon wrangled her into a bath & then bed to sleep it off ;-; ) but Dammon doesn't. He tries to be patient with Karlach but when she starts posturing and growling and snapping at him, Dammon loses his temper right back. Again, he's not a Scream And Shout kind of angry but he is a "Do not raise your fucking voice at me!" kind of angry. It's a side of him that Karlach hasn't seen before and it stuns her so much that it shuts her right up, but Dammon keeps going. He ends up reading Karlach a bit of a riot act about how much, exactly, she'd hurt Rai's feelings because Rai was probably never going to admit it to Karlach herself and it gives Karlach some serious cause for self-reflection. Dammon and Karlach's fight only gets broken up when their back-and-forth finally gets through Rai's Sleepiness and she wakes up and stumbles down the stairs to find them mid-argument. Karlach feels so guilty when she locks eyes with Rai over Dammon's shoulder that she apologises on the spot, which leads to Rai apologising too and they work it out with a little bit of mutual encouragement from Dammon <3

As for what they learned from it: Rai defo gets the longest list but I'll do all 3 of them again bc why the hell not lol

Rai definitely learns to not let her emotions make her careless/less aware of her partners' feelings. As an orphan who was treated more like a tool/weapon by the main parental figure in her life (part of the reason, like Astarion and Karlach, that Astarion and Rai are besties. Cazador treated Astarion like a possession, Avarice raised Rai as a weapon and they're kindred spirits of sorts as a result despite Astarion complaining about Rai being "too nice" XD) for most of her formative years, Rai's emotional maturity very much comes from her stumbling face-first into the lessons/epiphanies herself lol

So she learns to be a bit less "keep my shit to myself but expect everyone to let me deal with their shit" and take up a bit more space/be a bit more communicative about her own trauma. "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you" and "Avernus fucking sucks and they're all haunted by it in some way or another" are the two overarching themes for Rai and her polycule 💖

She also learns to be a bit less impulsive. She ran off because she didn't want to force Wyll to "pick a side", but ended up doing exactly that to BOTH the boys, because she ran off first without thinking it through logically.

Karlach has a little "oh, shit" moment when Dammon sets her straight and she realizes that she never actually asked Rai anything about her time in Elturel or what it was like for her/why she danced around the subject. She just…made assumptions and didn't fact check or think that maybe her assumptions could've been wrong.

For my "version" of the story the snowball effect from this fight culminates in Karlach ultimately deciding that she doesn't want to die. She wants to LIVE. So when they get to the dock at the very end and Rai and Wyll tell her "we won't make the decision for you, but whatever you choose, we're with you". And she chooses Avernus in the end, because even though she's fucking terrified, the fact that after everything they've all been through with something from Avernus dogging their every effort to get away from it, both Rai and Wyll are still willing to go back too. For her. And if they can do it for her, then she can do it for them, and maybe buy Dammon enough time to figure out how to fix her heart for good. (I'm not crying you're crying /lh)

And she also learns that while she has a right to make her own decisions, she cannot presume to make those same decisions for anyone else in the polycule just because she thinks she's protecting them by doing it. She can make those decisions for herself, but she has to let them make theirs sometimes too, even if they're not the decision Karlach wanted them to make.

(honourable/slightly joke-y mention: "Don't piss off Dammon. He's scarier than any Raging barbarian when he's angry" lol)

Bonus Dammon, bc I love him and he's kinda a package deal with Rai /jk. Who gets to wrestle a little bit with guilt (it was his suggestion that snowballed into making his girls fight, after all ;-; ), the guilt from this fight is the straw that broke the camel's back in a biiiiiig pile of guilt he's been carrying around since Rai "disappeared" and he just believed Avarice when she said she was dead and never thought to try looking for her etc. He has to learn to make peace with it, before it starts eating him alive, sort of deal. ;3; Also feel like he gets a bit more comfortable with making his voice heard despite his general introverted nature. If he hadn't been a bit firmer with Karlach she might not have stayed quiet long enough to listen and the spat might've been a lot more drawn out than it ended up being so he gets a gold star for that hahaha

How do they react when the other is upset? How do they try to help?

Sorta-kinda talked about this one in question 10 with Rai and Dammon and Rai and Wyll so I'll do Rai and Karlach for this one! :3

I'd say it depends? Unlike Dammon who just gets angry but not necessarily violent, Rai and Karlach both have a tendency to get aggresisve/violent when the other one is hurt/upset. If its a specific person whose made them upset (and you know. it's not someone they already know/just a misunderstanding between friends) they will start threatening and even actually hurt the person responsible if they can get their hands on them. Be careful with upsetting the other one because you will have a homicidal tiefling on your ass and when she catches you she will rip you in half. Trust me on that one. If Wyll and/or Dammon can't talk her down.

When Raphael starts bothering Rai during the course of the game plot, Karlach has absolutely threatened to rip his face off if he dares lay a finger on Rai. This may or may not become foreshadowing, haven't written/planned anything that far ahead just yet so we'll see when/if I get there hahaha. If its just a general "someTHING happened and I am upset" the default is definitely cuddles. They're both absolute cuddle fiends, esp after Karlach's touchable again. If they're not busy adventuring or helping with camp chores they are huddled on a bedroll snuggling, but this is doubly true when one of them is upset because cuddle piles fix everything. "No you may not bother her until she decides she's done, unless you want IN the cuddle pile too then go ahead". You get the idea lolol

What values do they not share? How do they reconcile those differences?

Going with Rai and Dammon for this one bc they're the first ones that came to mind when I looked at this question!

Rai's definitely a warrior/soldier at heart. Fighting comes naturally to her, whether Dammon likes it or not (and assuming that she'd had a "normal" childhood and not been scooped up by Avarice, this would still be true. Just instead she would've probably ended up a Hellrider instead of an Acolyte). It doesn't mean that he's not going to worry, or freak out, when she charges into something dangerous. Especially because Dammon is the opposite. As I said earlier, I think he can fight, he just chooses not to because he doesn't like it.

From Rai's end, it works perfectly fine. She's never expecting Dammon to come with her into battle, she knows he hates it. But Dammon does worry. He's terrified that one day she'll leave for a battle and never come back. And he won't be there, it'll be Wyll and Karlach by themselves coming back to give him the bad news. Dammon doesn't think his heart can take it. He's definitely had panic attacks before because of worrying about Rai charging off into a fight, but he's had to make peace with the fact that it's in her blood and he can't stop her. A frequent exchange between them before Rai runs right into something dangerous is usually Dammon telling her "I don't need you to be a hero, I just need you to be alive and safe" ( D: ). But he has to learn to trust her when she responds with "I promise you, I am coming back. I'm coming home to you when it's over". The more times she does come back, the more he starts to believe it even if the worry doesn't ever completely go away </3.

Rai always makes sure to "check in" with him before and after a fight as a result. Because even if it seems silly to her, she knows Dammon needs to hear her say it. (Also I think once they end up in the closed polycule with Karlach and Wyll, and knowing that they're there to watch eachothers' backs helps Dammon's anxiety be a bit less bad!)

What's different about their backgrounds? Do those differences affect the relationship?

And again bc they were the first pair I thought of after looking at the question, Rai/Wyll ✨

Rai's an orphan, with the Acolyte background because she was raised in a temple in Elturel and the closest thing to a "parent" she ever had was her Mother Superior, Avarice (who is also a Bhaalspawn a.k.a canon-divergent Durge). Even then, Avarice was not at all nurturing past the absolute bare minimum and by that I mean "don't kill the child soldier before she's been put to use in the Blood War" kind of deal. She has no memory of her biological parents whatsoever and doesn't really even know what having parents feels like.

Wyll on the other hand at least has his dad. But as a result of her childhood, Rai doesn't really…understand, the father-son dynamic that Wyll and Ulder have because she never had anything even close to that in her formative years. She's never deliberately confrontational with Ulder but it definitely takes her a LONG time to warm up to him after Wyll tells her about how he ended up pacted with Mizora as a result of what went on between him and his dad. She doesn't want to make things difficult for Wyll (on purpose) or tell him he can't have a relationship with his father. But she definitely doesn't GET it for a good long while and I think that would definitely bleed over into her relationship with Wyll until she can work through it.

(also something to be said for the Nobility/essentially a street urchin class-gap possibly? But no immediate anecdotes come to mind as of typing this. Just that I think that def creates some differences of experience for them that I'll prolly expand upon/explore more as I write more for them! :D)

Who said "I love you" first?

Aaand for this one, I'mma do all the Tav(Rai) ships again, because I think they're all equally cute and I can't just do one sorry! :D So here we goooo, in no particular order ~

Rai and Dammon: Both, pretty much. As discussed in question 10, Rai and Dammon have known eachother pretty much their entire lives. Their "I love you" was a "both of them blurted it out at exactly the same time" deal. When Zevlor recognised Rai and thus let them into the grove, and she started milling around and reconnecting with old friends/acquaintances/found family from Elturel, it takes her a little while to come across Dammon because his makeshift forge is tucked so far into the back of where the tieflings are staying. And while he's close with the other tieflings, Dammon does prefer to keep to himself so when there's a commotion at the gate he doesn't think it's his place to go sticking his nose in. It's probably something to do with a fight, and ever since Avernus he doesn't want much to do with fighting anymore (I'm also a "Dammon is an introvert" truther. And while I think he can wield a sword I feel like he very much chooses not to. Avernus fucking sucked my dudes, and I don't think he enjoys being on or around a battlefield AT ALL after getting back, though he will craft/fix weapons, armour, shields etc for his friends and family and if it called for it (like helping protect the tiefling kiddos during the grove raid, or defending Moonrise with the Tadpole squad and the Harpers) he will pick up a sword and fight if he HAS to. But he'd very much rather not if he has the choice between fighting or not.)

Eventually, she wanders to the back where his forge is and suddenly Rai is hit with a wave of recognition when she catches sight of Dammon and realizes it's him. She ends up getting his attention by calling out to her and at that point he almost burns himself dropping the weapon he'd been putting through the coals because as far as Dammon thought, Rai had died during the fuss with Elturel and he couldn't believe she was here - cue them both almost strangling eachother with hugs, a lot of tears and a very rushed out "I love you" because with the way Rai was carting around looking for a way to get un-tadpoled, they had no idea if there would be a "next time" that they saw eachother alive again and "I need you to know". ;3;

Rai and Wyll: Wyll went first here, but only just. Rai and Wyll's "I love you" was very much both of them were waiting for the other one to say it first because they were worried it was Too Soon(tm) otherwise. Wyll was the one that cracked first and Rai said it back ahem I may also have a fic for this hence why this one is so short, I don't want to spoiler y'all before I'm done w/ the oneshot and that was that.

Rai and Karlach: Rai went first, she'd known she loved Karlach for a while (I'd even make a cheesy "love at first sight" argument for these two tbh lol). Post-Engine upgrade 2, Karlach had a good cry when she realized it had worked, and as she cuddled and comforted her a little "I love you" slipped out into Karlach's hair. Karlach wasn't too far behind, it pretty much went down how it does in-game after they finally get to go to bed on that same night because I just think her getting so excited and yelling "ILOVEYOUTOO!" back at Rai is so goddamn cute that I have to keep it in there ;3; ❤️

i dont think ive mentioned it here but... the part of gojo where he gets to be annoying af and he gives no shit is like... the part of him that i like the most.

like i seriously look up to that HAHAHA. i feel like unless i write a full essay people will get the wrong impression of why i like gojo or what i think of him. its def not for his looks tho, design wise i like geto more. i think its amazing that he does stuff mostly on his own (for his mission) but he still can still teach and support the growth of his students. i think its great that he can still care for, respect, and even trust his best friend even after they part ways (i dont ship them romantically but thats what id call love, accepting someone regardless) i think he can and will be annoying at times, like how he often doesnt give explanation to his students but he’d never let anything bad happen to them if he can do anything about it.

i also think he has a reasoning for everything he does even if it looks trivial. like when yuji came back for the exchange event nanami said yuji needs that stupid side of his, and i think gojo is playing up the comedy on purpose

despite looking like he doesnt take anything seriously i think its the opposite. he observes his surrounding sharply and it seems like he’s always serious about stuff. like when he saw megumi bunt, i dont think anyone there would think anything more of that

anyway i miss jujutsu kaisen BUT ON MY REWATCH IM AT THE JUNPEI PART and tbh i skip this in the anime (but i read it) bc its just too sad for me also i hate mahito smh

hi okay I've been dead and gone and buried (haha anyone catch that reference?) but I just finished chain of thorns (the last hours #3 by cassandra clare) and I HAVE THOUGHTS (major CHOT spoilers, here's your only warning)

first of all, I think we can all agree that the love triangle was so unnecessary?? why bother having matthew be in love with cordelia when you could've made them the ultimate pair of bffs, it was so frustrating when cordelia essentially cheated on james? and created so much unneeded conflict between james and matthew when the time could have been used to build up more relationships (KITGRACE ARE ADORABLE EXCUSE ME)

2, kit's death - admittedly I was spoiled when it came to this (damn you, twitter user who didn't tag chot spoilers!) so I wasn't really emotionally affected, but kit's character was going so well and him and grace? idk I'll die with this ship, plus I'm a grace apologist and she deserved one good thing after all that happened 😭 lowkey wished matthew or even james died instead bc it would've been something completely different since cc doesn't tend to kill of MCs, and it'd be like if will or jem died, much more painful

3, james surviving cortana?? why did it feel so cliche - it felt like city of lost souls when clary stabbed jace with glorious the sword and HOW does this trope feel so reused.. the whole thing where a paladin can heal the blows they make just didn't really cut it for me, I mean I understand it but I don't really see the logic in it hahaha

4, i almost feel like the book is spreading itself too thin, in the sense that we didn't get time to explore anything much, instead just getting brief glimpses of each character before proceeding to another. this has been a bit of a recurring problem for me with tlh, but it felt worse this book since we at 10 (TEN) povs jumping around 💀

overall this book feels like ant man quantamania - had a solid concept and has potential, but wasn't executed the best. maybe a 7ish out of 10? it wasn't BAD per se, some character moments I cherished a lot - like thomstairs, ghostwriter and herondaisy and even anna/ariadne, whom cc lowkey messed up in CHOI, I liked the jokes and how we finally sort of know why belial owes jem a favour, it's been bothering me. the plot was resolved okay, but again, meh execution. okay the dump is complete goodbye

Honestly the only ship I like for Herlock is vanlock, I really don't care for any of the others.

I know it's canonically disproven and doesn't really track for his character, but I like to sometimes think about a Herlock that gave up smoking & hard drugs when he became Iris' guardian

Though this was from the fan translation of the game years before the localization came out, the classic Herlock line "That deduction was so hot you'd hardly believe this detective is single." (I can't find it rn but I'm pretty sure that was the line. I also love his offer of jumping into a caldron of boiling wax for what equals ~16.4mil£ in today's money lmao)

What’s a MASH ship that doesn’t seem to exist yet, but needs to?

It is very unlike me to have an OTP in any fandom but it’s Trapper/Hawkeye for this one with a massive disclaimer that this does not stop me from shipping them both with a long list of other characters (good luck finding a character you won’t find me shipping either of them with in some way). Also, I know it seems like I’m joking but I am genuinely very into BJ/Trapper, it’s my second favourite and is gaining ground fast hahaha.

As much as I am not a huge OTP guy, I also don’t have too many NoTPs.

I operate like this: there are ships that I feel neutral about and other ships that I love, regardless of how they are written. It is also my favourite thing when I think I am not into a ship and then someone writes it in a way that sucks me in completely - shout out to hawnk side of mashblr. Unless there is something inherent about a ship that activates a squick of mine (which therefore makes me unable to engage at all) then i welcome any strong, preferably E-rated challenge to any of my ship biases.

Aaaand tmi maybe but sometimes I’m just too horny to care whether or not I think a ship is plausible or not - Hawkeye/Peg/BJ is probably the closest thing to a non-squicky NoTP of mine, but consider also that I am but a simple man who loves threesomes, so Punnihawk can look real tasty to me depending on the circumstances. Also, my dear mutual @bornforastorm wrote a G-rated pre-Peg/BJ/Hawkeye/Trapper and I was super into it, which is to say - I can be almost always be convinced.

Imo, overrated ships in this fandom include Hawkeye/anyone but Hawkeye/BJ and Hawkeye/Trapper in particular. But these are overrated for predictable reasons, they're the main characters and the white guy slash ship economy is always booming - that's just par for the course.

Underrated is any ship where Hawkeye isn’t involved. Hawkeye, BJ and Trapper are all overrepresented in fanwork when you compare their screen time to Margaret’s. So, hopefully without sounding judgemental, I would say that if there were one ship I wish were more prolific it would be Margaret/anyone. Klinger/Soon Lee is another one I’m very interested in.

A ship that doesn’t exist but that needs to: oh my god Oliver/anyone PLEASE would someone like to start an Oliver Jones writing circle. In addition to that, in order of how desperately I want these to exist: Kellye/anyone, Margie/anyone, Ginger/anyone, Bigelow/anyone. I know these are all vague but I take multishipping very seriously - if I listed every single ship that is somewhere on my draft roster then we would be here all night esp on account of how many poly ships are bouncing around the inside of my head. And this is more of a general thing but I want more variety in how even popular ships operate: more queerplatonic relationships, more asexual characters, more aromantic characters, more poly ships.

You might’ve been looking for a bullet-pointed list from me when you asked, but for me it’s just not that cut and dry. I could, for example, write an essay on a ship like Hawkeye/Margaret which in theory I don’t really care for, but that I think has a lot of potential to go in an interesting direction if written in a particular way. Conversely, I love Hawkeye/BJ but I’m not interested in how it is portrayed most of the time.

Little rant that I promise has a point:

I stopped watching Stranger Things halfway through season 3... I tried TWICE to continue watching it but somehow I just lost interest, like, I love Robin and Steve and Dustin and Hopper and the whole gang and the plot was interesting, but I just wasn't in the mood to keep watching it so I didn't.. I have a pretty good idea of what happens though (thank you random bloggers who post the plot through gifs and edits, you are the backbone of fandoms and the reason I know lots of things about lots of fandoms).

Anyway, so, I didn't see any eps with Eddie, like, cero. I know who he is, what he does, his ending... So when I started seeing Steddie as a ship I was like, yeah they look cute together ngl, next.

And it's been like that for some time now, until recently when you started reblogging tons of steddie things that my interest was picked, so I started reading some of the ffs you reblog and loving some fanarts...

And what can I say, I'm a hardcore shipper now, you turned me into a Steddie shipper hahahah I am motivated to watch the rest of the show just to meet Eddie and see firsthand his interactions with Steve and the gang.

So thank you I guess 😂 and if anyone ever tells you that you reblog too much about x topic or whatever just know that you reblogs made me ship them so yeah, keep up the great work hahaha

Thanks for the ask! I'll list the least favorite moments in the same way I did the best moments, aka season by season, in reverse order. However, I’m not going to be talking about important character moments this time. Because I don’t really hate those, even if I disagree with them. Although I question a lot of TD's writing decisions, I'm not usually angry. I'm just intrigued. Why did they make those decisions? How did those decisions affect the plot of the show? How did the fandom react? And is there a different way to interpret what happened? There’s just a lot to chew on, and I’m hungry for meta-analysis. So, yeah, while I disagree with a lot of choices, it doesn’t necessarily mean I hate them. If you see me being dramatic about a plot point I don’t like, chances are I was just hamming it up for the audience. So what about the moments I do hate? Well…

RR: I've already talked a lot about how much I disliked Noah's elimination, which is probably the REAL worst moment. But there is another moment that is living rent-free in my brain. I've watched RR once, so most things don't stick with me. But this one did.

It's Ep:11 I love Ridonc & Roll, which is surprising because I've praised this episode to the moon and back, calling it Noah's REAL best moment. And it is. But I dislike Emma in this episode. It's weird to me that she's Noah’s love interest, yet she can't even give him a quick pep-talk about stage fright. So instead, Owen does it. A classic romantic moment is to help people past their weaknesses - we saw it with Courtney helping Duncan face the cardboard cutout, we see Zoey reassure Mike about his DID, hell the thing that really starts Davesky off is that when Dave is feeling stressed because of his germophobia, Sky helps him focus. Whatever your opinions on Davesky are, the moment was still sweet. So it’s weird to me that Emma doesn’t get to do it with Noah. (Also now I’m realizing it’s mostly women comforting men. Hmm. Can’t tell if that means anything, or if I just missed something.) But anyway, that’s another reason I feel N*mma is a kind of weak ship, storytelling wise, because their huge emotional beats are with other people - Emma with Kitty, and Noah with Owen. Tbf N*mma has romantic beats, but that’s it. And I’ve already talked about those.

Anyway, that was just an unnecessary rant. The moment I’m actually here to talk about is after Noah proves himself. There's a scene where Emma talks about how she only realized how much she liked Noah when she was worried she'd never see him again. Which is fine. And she says she's going to stop taking him for granted. Good! And then Kitty jokes, "I don't know, are you sure he's still into you?

Emma and Kitty: *both start laughing for an extremely long time*

Emma: "Yeah."

Me, a N*mma hater: BUT HE SHOULDN'T BE! NO! NO!

Lmaoo, you would be surprised about how personally I took those lines. It felt like they were laughing at *me*, lmaoo. Honest to god, it felt like some redditor was smugly telling me how Noah liked Emma, you idiot! He'll never like anyone else! HAHAHA! You're so stupid! Except it was canon. And it was the writers.

I don't even think they meant it like that, lol. It was a joke at Noah's expense, not mine. And even if they had meant it like that, then it’s even funnier. I commend the boldness.

Pakhitew: There's not much I vehemently dislike about Pakhitew. Is there stuff I find annoying? Yes. Sammy and Amy's arc should have been longer. Topher should have been an intern Dakota-style. Scarlett should have had a different resolution to her arc instead of being duped by a Chris-robot. Oddly, as I go on and on about Pakhitew’s flaws, the more I feel endeared to it. Like a woman who purposefully goes to broken down houses, beams, and is like “I love fixer-uppers!” So many characters I liked that didn't get full arcs... characters I can make my own stories for, bring out my own paint. Yess… yesss… yesss.

But. One thing I do dislike a little more than the rest is the Ella vs Sugar thing. And also Sugar's elimination. They make a huge deal out of Sugar being a former child pageant. So when she gets the chance to design a challenge, she works her pageant background into it, via a talent show. And then she loses her own challenge. And tbh, this just feels *mean* to me? I know she had to go, for the Sky vs Shawn finale, but …. everyone else got to show off how good they were at their thing, but not Sugar? She's still being treated as a joke? Like this was their chance to show a different side of Sugar, or just capitalize on the intelligence she had already shown. But nothing? She just does a terrible job and embarrasses herself. It’s SAD.

Unpopular opinion but Sugar VS Shawn in the finale would have been lit. And her helper could have been Ella, and it would be great to see Sugar be forced to work with the girl she hates, and then maybe Ella sees the bad confessionals and realizes that Sugar never liked her or smth. And then... either she decides to be nice, or she decides to get the money to herself. I needed their arc to resolve.

Lingering_Reflection pakhitew rewrite when, amirite?

All Stars: There are so many All Stars things that didn't work. I could easily just say Jo's elimination because she's one of my favorite characters and therefore I was mad that she was eliminated. (Which is actually rare for me? I don’t care when my gen 1 faves get eliminated, because one, I knew it going in, and two, they have other seasons + TDR. I will get enough time with them either way. Can’t say the same for 2nd and 3rd gen 😭).

The only other All Stars moment I'm passionately angry about is Cameron kissing Courtney against her wishes. It's just. That's a bad thing to do? Like I get it, he's working on Mal's orders for his evil plan. And I love evil plans, and I even love the idea of Evil!Cameron. And I like Cody and Sierra, so it's not even like "i dislike problematic people," either. I just dislike how the show itself treats it.

There's no backlash for Cameron, no callouts. He’s happy with the results. Scott doesn't believe her. Gwen doesn't take her side. Zoey tells her "at least 2 guys kissed you," as if that's any better. I think TD plays fast and loose with sexual harassment as comedy, and this is one of the moments it really shows.

ROTI: I genuinely really love this season, I really really really need to rewatch it. And uhh. I really dislike B's elimination, because it was so heartbreaking. But I also really like Scott, and it was a smart move. So not that. The thing I dislike is one line from Sam - which… I can’t find now? I’ve watched like two episodes, and two Sam compilation videos, and uhh. Nothing. So. Umm. Just not going to say anything, other then the fact that the worst moment about this season being one I imagined speaks to how much I like this season. (Tho there are some things I’d correct, and I suspect I’ll find new things on rewatch.)

World Tour: Okay, another personal one. I dislike C*derra pretty heavily, I don't think that should be a suprise to anyone. I do find most of their interactions funny, and while I don't think Cody *should* be friends with Sierra, it makes a lot of interesting story potential, whether you play it for fluff or for horror.

But there is one thing I just can't look past. In Episode 25, when Cody's balloon has crashed and he gives up, Sierra starts yelling at him.

"You want a number one fan, mister? That comes with responsibilities! You can't let me and the rest of your fans down!"

And there is so much wrong with those sentences? Sure Sierra is a "Number 1 Fan," yeah, but she's also a STALKER. For most of this season, Cody DIDN'T want her! He didn't! Because she treats him terribly! Sure she’s been nice to him a few times, but overall she’s abusive. It’s a straight-up Mother Gothel moment. I do everything for you, so you can’t let me down. Bro, you’re a terrible person! You don’t deserve anything from your VICTIM!

And even if she wasn't a stalker, and just a genuinely nice fan, who did no wrong - her statement is terrible. I'm an ex-kpoppie, so I've seen fan celebrity dynamics, and the question of "how much do creators owe fans and vice versa," is something I have strong feelings about. Yes, celebrities do have responsibilities. You can’t be famous if you don’t DO anything, and you usually can’t *keep* being famous if you stop producing content. That’s true. But the idea that you should do something purely because “you can’t let the fans down,” is toxic.

Because there will always be things out of your control, and there will always be times where you’re just not into something. And yes, if you have promised something, you should try to deliver. Especially when there’s money involved. But Cody did not promise *anyone* that he would win. He didn’t promise anyone a hot air balloon ride from Alberta to New Mexico? What? To say he owed her, or his fans, even an attempt, is weird to me. Sierra was a fan by choice. She decided to root for him! So Cody should also be allowed to make his own choices. He’s allowed to quit. And if that means that you as a fan, feel betrayed, then whatever. Choose to support someone else. Because it’s your choice, and you cannot force your choices onto others, just because you “deserve it,” for…. Liking them? Like it makes no sense. I love you, so you must do something… no. That’s not how it works! If you love someone, you do something. Because it’s your feelings, not there’s! It stinks of fan entitlement. And I don’t even like celebrities - like I’m not out here to defend celebrities for their mistakes. But Cody wasn’t “making a mistake,” he was just trying to quit on his own terms. And Sierra yelled at him for it, and told him he owed her to try harder!

But I understand why she feels entitled, because I've seen it in a lot of kpop fans. A LOT of fans invest huge amounts of money and time into their idols. There's so much pressure to be a "good fan," a "true fan." You not only have to buy their music, but you must promote their music, you must stream their music, you must vote for their music, you must praise each and every one of them, you must defend each and every one of them - it becomes a job. A job that fans do, willingly, or unwillingly, because they like the idol that much. And if you’re putting in that much work… wouldn’t you want the same kind of dedication in return? Imagine hyping up someone’s upcoming concert for weeks, and then they cancel it. Wouldn’t you be a little angry? You were so excited, you did your part and they didn’t do theirs. “Stress,” or whatever. Sure. You’re stressed too. But if they want fans like you, they owe you top-tier performances. But you can’t think like that. You can’t. I understand your feelings, but you cannot try to control someone else’s life. In fact, the more you truly love a person, the less you should want to control them. Sometimes things happen, and you have to accept that. Take the refund and go. People are allowed to quit, allowed to take hiatuses. People aren’t machines that output what you put in - they have their own lives, and their own issues, and like. Just stop. (This attitude isn’t actually that common in kpop, but it is there.)

Basically, my argument is that what Sierra says to him, that he owes the fans something he’s never promised, and something he doesn’t want to do - is very unethical. There are people who like this moment, and I get it. "Wow, Sierra's finally holding Cody accountable! Finally, she’s making HIM do something!" And that is a flip from the way Sierra usually treats Cody - at least on the outside.

But Sierra isn’t the victim in the Cody-Sierra relationship. She never was. She's always been demanding more for him, or not even demanding - just taking! She’s been touching him and kissing him against his will, she’s guilt-tripped him. Yes, she puts up with a lot of disrespect from Cody. But he’s put up with a lot more, and everything he’s done has been a reaction to her. So no, this isn’t really character development for Sierra. This is just a different shade of entitlement. Action:

Umm. I think everyone knows that the way Trent was handled sucks. We also know that Gwen didn't deserve flack for dumping him. Gwent sucked in Action is not a hot take. And I've also already talked way too much. So just take this screenshot:

"What can I say? Kid's hot." I don't think you need me to tell you why that line is wrong. There’s also the finale, which also isn’t a hot take. But my problem with the finale is less that I dislike the contestants, but more that I don’t think they fit the theme. The finale is heavy on Good VS Bad, which is a classic. I don’t have a problem with that. And Duncan does fit “Bad.” But Beth doesn’t fit “Good.” There’s the time where she kissed Harold against his will (eww), the numerous times she bragged about her boyfriend when people weren’t into it, the time Courtney made an alliance with her, and there was a whole thing about how she wasn’t as nice and naive as Courtney believed her to be. Like that was the point! That she could hold her own! The alliance ends with her betraying Courtney! Betrayal! And then I’m supposed to believe she’s the GOOD side? I don’t think she’s evil, or even that bad. But she’s not nice. She’s average! To be fair, it could be argued the only nice character on TD is Owen. And Owen was already a finalist. But if so.... just don’t make a good vs bad finale? (Or don’t eliminate Geoff and Bridgette immediately. Or Harold. Or Leshawna. Hmm. There were so many better candidates to fir this theme. Why Beth? I need to know. If anyone has any ideas, please tell me.) Island: There were actually two moments here, but I decided to cut it down to one. It’s Heather reading Gwen's diary outloud. And this is not because I am a Gwen stan. I’m a Gwen centrist, if anything. This moment is here because it’s stupid. There’s a lot of stupid TD moments though, so what’s so special about this one? Uhh, it’s just the reason I don’t care for Heather. With faves like Courtney and Scarlett and Amy, you’d think Heather’d fit right in. But nope! And that's because I expected more from her. To be frank, I was expecting Alison DiLaurentis from Pretty Little Liars. I'm talking master manipulator, gaslighting genius, bachelor's in bullying. And Heather's just... not. And yeah I'm holding her to unfair standards, but come on. Why read Gwen’s diary aloud? Like, what did she expect to happen? Yes you've humiliated Gwen, but you haven't actually made her look BAD. You’ve just made yourself look like a bully. Heather could have pulled a Regina George, and wrote random mean things in Gwen's diary, read it outloud, and had the whole team turn on Gwen. She could have revealed something genuinely disgusting, made the team trust Gwen less. She could have held off, and used info from it as blackmail. But nope! Instead she reads it aloud, and it's just the Trent crush? Like no one cares. No one cares!!! What did you accomplish, Heather? What did you accomplish? Nothing! It feels so middle school. Do better! Tl;dr: Most of my least favorite moments are really just personal peeves, instead of problematic plot points. Or like. I just hate sexual harassment. Not that it can’t be shown in media, but I’d rather it be taken seriously. Bonus: the tags that I couldn’t post because of an error message
