Kid is perched like a gargoyle atop one of the wooden crates lining the dock, the crimson feathers of his cape shifting in the salt breeze, metal arm reattached and adding additional heft to his frame. The shogun of Wano wasn't being frugal with the supplies, and there was still much to load. "Oi. Law." Upon seeing the other captain, he leaps to the dock with a heavy thud. This was really it, wasn't it. The day of departure, when he could leave this hell behind for the open sea. Where their paths would separate.

"Here." He scowls, thrusting two items into the surgeon's hands. One appears to be a small metal box. Inside the other captain would find a pair of metal earrings, formed from scrap that had been expertly bent and polished. The second is a belt, also clearly formed from myriad bits and pieces, but thin and supple. "Killer went and got your polar bear that copy of our poneglyph, since it sounds like the two of you had a nice little heart-to-heart without me and made some decisions." Not that he disagreed with them.

"I... wanted you to have these." He tries to glare, but finds his gaze lowering to the sun-warmed wood of the dock. "Made 'em myself..." He rubs the back of his neck, painted lip caught in between white teeth. Why was he suddenly back to feeling so ... muddled. He shakes his head with a growl, golden glare returning to the other. "So don't go losin' 'em ok!"

From 11am until 6pm everyday, you can borrow a book free-of-charge, grab a drink or snack from one of the many delectable refreshments stalls, and when you're ready, settle into one of the many colorful bean bags sprinkled around the area. You can borrow the book for as long as you like during that day, as long as it’s returned before 6pm! You can dip your nose into as many books as you like on your own, or bring a friend or two to discuss the books you’ve borrowed. There are all types of books, for all ages, so it’s a perfect place to bring your kids, grandparents, or even a date. There will be live performances, as well as book readings, to enjoy, as well! Welcome to our first string of events! We're keeping things simple this time and we hope you all enjoy! Canonically, the outdoor library festivities take place on the weekends of April 19th and April 26th; the concert from April 13th to the 19th; the orchid painting from April 13th to April 27th. In-verse, these will last one month, and will conclude on Wednesday, May 15th! Apart from attending the events, if your muse(s) are interested in working/volunteering at any of the events, that's totally fine with us! As we have lots of artists on board, they could be helping out with the orchid painting; performers in the group can be involved in the concert; etc. Please be as creative as you'd like, and let us know if you have any questions! Just for that— I’m going to give you the professor!Mina fic instead. HA. (just kidding I genuinely hope you enjoy this little clip because I’ve never shown it to anyone before 🙈 please don’t bite):

“Are you finished?”

You jumped at her voice, so close. You hadn’t even heard her. Honestly. And her breath was warm against your ear as she leaned over you, whispering as to not disturb the others.

You swallowed, keeping your eyes pinned to your exam. “No, Ms. Venable. I think I need a few more minutes to look over everything.”

She hummed, a small sound of disapproval, but before you could look at her, question her, she was walking away, cane tapping rhythmically and echoing around the walls.

You let yourself melt into it, the steadiness of it, the consistency. She didn’t stop walking after that, not for the last fifteen minutes. And it almost turned into a song, the tapping of her cane, the clicking of her heels. All of it mixed with the sound of her breath in your ear. And you couldn’t help but grin against the thought that this might be your favorite soundtrack to lose yourself to.

You watched the clock as she sauntered back to her desk, a frown etched onto her face and her jaw tipped up in that haughty way it always did.

And then her cane hit the floor. Twice. And time was up.

Everyone who was left got up, shuffling papers and gathering their things. And you paused, hesitated, waited so that you would be at the very back of the line.

So that you could stay and talk and it wouldn’t look suspicious.

It had almost worked. There were only five students ahead of you. But then someone came up next to you and nudged you, and your focus on Venable was broken.

Emily.

“How do you think you did?” she whispered, and you gave her a half-hearted smile.

“Alright. But I don’t think Ms. Venable would appreciate us talking before we turn in our exams.”

Emily glanced at Venable, and your eyes flicked up, too, meeting deep brown ones that were locked on you.

You swallowed. Turned your attention back to Emily.

“Why don’t you go ahead? I have some questions for Ms. Venable anyway.”

But Emily shook her head. “I can wait with you, I don’t mind.”

And then you were both in front of her, Emily handing in her papers first, and you following suit.

Venable’s eyes never left you, and you could feel your cheeks warming as you willed yourself to look anywhere else. Anywhere but her. But she was like a magnet, and you couldn’t help it.

Her fingers brushed against yours as she took your papers, and you tried not to notice. Tried to ignore it. You were already too flushed. But you knew that she was always careful about not touching her students. Too dirty, she never knew where they had been.

“Not too difficult, I hope?” she mused, pressing her lips together against a smile and smoothing out her lipstick.

“Not at all, Ms. Venable,” you tried, eyes tracking her as she set your papers in a pile and stacked them tight.

There was a long moment of you watching her, watching her gloved hands work over the exams and staring at her perfect fingers, skin soft and smooth and pink. And the way they had felt against your own hands, so delicate, almost a whisper—

“Did you still have a question for Ms. Venable?” Emily piped in, and you flushed deeper as Venable froze, eyes raking over you curiously.

But you cleared your throat, turning back to Emily. “No. No, sorry. Let’s— we should go.”

One last glance at Venable, and you thought for a fraction of a second that she looked almost disappointed. But as soon as your heels dug in, Emily was dragging you out the door.

🌹 = How would your muse react to romantic gestures, expected or not? 

For expected romantic gestures, from someone for whom he reciprocates the romantic feelings, you're likely to get a lot of big goofy smiles and some half-hearted wisecracks. He's much more likely to appreciate small, more measured gestures as opposed to grandiose displays, but all the same it warms his heart to have someone make such an effort for him, especially as he's only recently reached a point where he won't immediately dismiss himself as unworthy of it.

For unexpected romantic gestures, there will be a lot of confusion before any appreciation catches up. He isn't the biggest fan of surprises, and that aforementioned lingering self loathing will definitely try to jump out with force in those moments, but sentiment will ultimately win out and you'll still get your dumb smiles and wisecracks, albeit with more flustered delivery.

🌷 = Is your muse likely to be the one to make the first move, or would they wait for the other to make a move first? 

Elias is not super likely to make the first move. For one thing, he's got to realize and recognize his own feelings on the matter. He has a hard time being connected to his own positive feelings and coming to terms with them on his own without something external inspiring him to take stock, (see his feelings on his kids often not being fully considered until some challenge to that connection-perceived or otherwise-presents itself), so he's hard pressed to reach a certainty of his own stance great enough to even consider making a move at all.

Once he gets there, though, there's even more work to be done to get him to consider/recognize the possibility of reciprocation. He will feel and desire deeply, but be hard pressed to be up to do anything but pine.

It's possible given enough time and hints for him to parse out that the person he cares for feels the same that he might finally take action, but it'll take a while and you're better off telling him than waiting.

🎁 = Does your muse become flattered to receive gifts? 

Don't let his snark, or prickliness, or self deprecation fool you; Elias Kanu is immensely sentimental. If you gift him anything, he will cherish and protect it as the greatest of treasure. Rest assured that he has received a gift-since escaping the empire-he still has it in a safe place and likely thinks of it often, regardless of what it is. The fact that someone is willing to gift of themselves to him will mean everything to him.

🌷 - Are they ever been scared/are scared to fall in love?

Without a doubt she’d been scared to fall in love. She’d been scared to admit she loved Noriaki on their way to Cairo, admitting she was about to feel something for Jotaro was like an impossible task for her.

It stems from the fact that she underwent SA from her sister’s first husband when she was a kid for a couple of years. This left her feel very icky about herself, her self-worth, her desire to be a mom, everything. No one wants to have flashbacks and nightmares about it.

Her first boyfriend, Keshav, wanted to go beyond kissing, but she didn’t want to, so he’d spread rumors that Anika invited him to a hotel to sleep with him and even after she broke up with him, his friends bullied her. These two are some of the reasons why when she first met Jotaro and saw him screaming at some women, he was just annoyed with them, but she was reminded of her ex-brother in law and ex-boyfriend that did her dirty.

During their time in Cairo, Noriaki and Jotaro were the ones who saw Anika for who she really is and told her that they accepted her, and that took away part of her fears. One of the reasons she was drawn more towards Noriaki than Jotaro was the fact that he was comparatively more open in expressing his affection towards her than Jotaro. She tried helping Noriaki to prevent him from dying but he told her that she should be with Jotaro.

During her PhD, the guy she dated for two years, we’ll call him DK, cheated on her and confessed to her while they were in bed.

So, when it finally came to loving on Jotaro, it was hard. Especially because he needs love too. So they seem codependent but really there’s a ton of baggage that needs to be unearthed for her. But, ever since she learned that she loves Jotaro, there’s been no going back. It’s an “always and forever” affair when it comes to him.

🍨 - What are expectations your muse has had about love that either was false or impossible to live up to?

After Anika experienced what I stated in the previous answer, one of the reasons her relationship with DK failed that supposedly led to DK cheating on her, was the fact that she needed constant assurance that she’s loved no matter what, either by words (most of the time) or to be okay with the fact she didn’t allow him to hug her for months because it reminded her of SA past. (Except for foreplay ‘cause they started as FWB)

Even as and when she’s overcoming them, when it came to Jotaro, the walls were still yet to break down. For him it was impossible to live up to the fact that he had to constantly tell her he loved her, whereas he couldn’t himself. So, that’s when she stepped up and learned that love could be expressed in other ways and actions conveyed more love than words.

🎀 - Do they aim to impress their partner often? If they do, how so?

It depends on the partner. Keshav, 100%. She even tried changing her interests to suit his (yep that’s the people pleasing tendency)

Noriaki, she didn’t need to ‘cause he was already impressed and that made it easier for her.

DK, not at all. He had a ton of problems with her behavior and she wanted to stay true to herself, so they’d fight. He’d even called her “attention seeking bitch” once.

With Jotaro, she didn’t need to but she wanted to. For the sake of not wanting to lose him. She’s promised to spend eternity with him, so her way of impressing him would be asking for feedback on how to improve herself and working on that, primarily for herself but also for their relationship. Also, therapy.

He's definitely comfortable making the first move. Long as there's been a sign his attraction is reciprocated, he's not really the type to play coy or delay. Literally the only reason Jaesa said something first is bc of the way BioWare wrote that conversation xD He was planning to say something when he went looking for her, almost ahd back on Ossus.

Nope, not really. I think he's the most self-assured and content out of all my kids.

💞 = Does your muse believe in soulmates? 

Yep, platonic and romantic both. (his are Vette and Jaesa, respectivelly)

Some Dark II or worse edgelord who delights in suffering and cruelty would be a HARD no. He didn't even recruit Hexid, and tries to get out of working with Rivix as much as he can, no way he would date someone like that.

looking for 1-2 muns to join a small multi-muse hp next gen group on discord. we've set the group 20+ years post the battle of hogwarts where a broken time turner has been used to reignite a dark threat long thought vanquished. we still have many characters available to be played like albus potter, james potter ii, draco malfoy, ginny weasley potter, ron weasley, all of the weasley next gen kids, dominique weasley, etc. we also are using time travel as a plot element so we can discuss bringing back characters from the past if there is someone who perished in the first war that you might want to play. there are no "set ships" we'd like to see incorporated into the world but preferably we'd like to see eventual dramione (possibly slowburn?), and albus/scorpius.

it's currently myself and one other person & we're both 30+ in the eastern timezone who work full time so we would need someone who recognizes that this is a hobby, so we may not always be the most active, but we're always around to bounce ideas off of and collaborate on world building and talking about the plot. we have a general outline on where we want the plot to go but there is a lot of room to expand and collaborate here and we'd love to bring other people into the mix. if you're interested in collaborating, drop a like on this post and i'll reach out to you 🌷

It had been several days since the Battle of Onigashima. Somehow, it felt like an instant and eternity all at once. His body still hurt like hell, even he couldn't simply shake off the combined damage of two Emperors after such a short time, no matter how much he wished it. Hell, if it wasn't for Trafalgar, he'd probably still be nearly immobile. As it stood, he's still covered in bandages, but that little detail hasn't stopped him from escaping the confines of the room he'd been granted at the castle to prowl through the town.

Trafalgar. That bastard.

His memories of the battle were hazy at best, given that he'd spent the majority of time getting pummeled near to death (by choice), at one point while taking additional damage thanks to that spineless straw bastard, but he'd had plenty of time to mull over his thoughts during his forced recovery. What had gone wrong, and what had gone right. The limits of his own power. The obstacles he'd need to overcome.

There is one thing he remembered with crystal clarity. Trafalgar had been there by his side ever since they'd made it up to the rooftop. The two of them had fought nearly as one, taking hits for each other and giving back as good as they got. He knows full well he'd be dead if the other man hadn't had his back. And it was the same for Trafalgar, no doubt. Big Mom's last desperate gambit, that Misery, had been something else entirely. He still had nightmares about that bitch.

Then there was the aftermath. Broken bones healed by the surgeon's skill and that strange ability. They'd shared some kind of moment there. What kind? He growls under his breath, stalking through the crowded streets of the Flower Capital with a purpose that causes the revelers to part before him. Where is he? He remembers Trafalgar patching him up, remembers trading barbs with him. Remembers waking up leaning against him, the other's dark hair brushing against his neck. Energy temporarily restored, they'd immediately started arguing again before staggering off to rejoin their own crews. But... he couldn't stop thinking about that moment.

Damned if he wasn't going to do something about it.

The Flower Capital is preparing for a festival in honor of Wano's saviors, but the venomous glare he shoots at anyone who dares approach him is more than enough to send them scurrying. He'd given his crew leave to explore the taverns, bathhouses, and other facilities as they pleased, but Kid has yet to allow himself the same leisure. No, he's set a course and there's no force to sway him from it. Turning yet another corner, he spies a familiar, lanky figure.

"Trafalgar," he snarls,oblivious to anything else. Closing the distance swiftly with a few powerful strides, his right hand shoots forward to grab the front of the surgeon's coat, topaz eyes blazing. Damn him, and that stupid face. Those eyes, that hair, those tattoos. He's going to regret doing this, but not as much as he would not doing it. Trafalgar isn't exactly a small man, but it's easy enough for Kid to lift him with one arm. Another glare, his heart pounding in his chest, and he leans forward to crush his lips against the other's.

She was just tending to the green house as usual... some flowers would do well around this seasons and so she got caught up in the work... so caught up she barely noticed a tall shadow standing behind her... just to look up at Raede looking at her curious... She was taken aback and a slight hint of red graced her face.

“S-sorry that I didn’t notice you, Raede... I got caught up in work.”

"Its fine, It's good to See you tend well to them, little blossom."

"Are you busy or... would you like to help me?"

"With pleasure. "

She was conflicted mainly... given she had both a crush on the gracery dorm leader Daido and Raede as well, spending time babysitting both their kids, got her endeared to like them both a lot but... she couldn't really make up her mind about it. So she foe now just tried to get to know them both better despite knowing some of the dangers of this dorm...

She got up to get some seeds but some of the gardening equipment made her trip, at least to her luck Raedes vine tentacles catched her..

"Ah.. Um... thank you."

"You grow as red as a rose, blossom. "

"I j-just... I trip so much it embarrasses me..."

"Its natural to trip. Now then... lets finish this garden and then... I did want to ask you to stop by the dorm..."

"Daido need something from me?"

"Its not about him."

She tilted her head seeing his face a bit annoyed that she mentioned his name.

"Raysel seemed to like those shakes you make so... I wanted to ask you if you could make them again?"

"Of course... I do care about the little apple a lot, I would be glad."

A smile towards her from him made her red again.

"A-anyways lets finish this."

It's still clear that her thoughts from her response still were more on Daido but it was also hard not to see that she cared a lot about Raede and Raysel too.... she focused on the garden trying to calm her thoughts for now..

Anytime he begins feeling something for someone—be it a friend or sexual partner (specially these individuals)—he panics and tries to distance himself from them. His previous experiences in love had him in a terrible state for decades, so ever falling in love with someone again, unaware of what they could do to him, is an absolute nightmare.

💄 - Is there a past relationship your muse wishes they could have changed?

Oh, goody.

Mystic has only had one single formal relationship in his life before and it was enough to make him never even consider the thought of love in his life again. This guy was much older than him—think of it as: they met for the first time when Mystic still had the appearance of a preteen kid and the guy looked like he was in his older teens—so from the very beginning it was… weird. Nothing ever happened, though, until Mystic grew up to the age he appears to be now.

Mystic just really wishes he hadn’t been so naive and blind when it came to this guy’s actions and words towards him.

🌷 Taking care of living things - hmmm… I would give her a 9 for plants, an 8 for animals, and a 7 for children. They’re.. pretty high scores.

Yara does have something of a green thumb and I’d like to think she only goes deeper into studying flora with more accessible herbs being available in Ferelden and later, Antiva. Her first interest came with poisons and antidotes, and it ended up sticking around as she’d need to know the few available medicinal plants well enough to remedy both the blight and other illnesses, be they injury caused or otherwise. And she has a real soft spot for flowers 🌻

When it comes to animals, she’s also pretty good, and gets along with most, as their communication is easier for her to understand than people’s. She also spoils Mishka rotten. While on the ✨road trip✨ through Ferelden, she ends up treating most animals as neighbors, which has ranged from endearing to deeply worrying for her companions, because while it’s cute to keep a chipmunk around camp, going in for a swim with a bear is a little less so.

She’s also the kind of person who can stay still for so long moss starts growing she gets birds and squirrels perching up on her shoulders. Shale disapproves. Yara wishes she were a golem sometimes. Often.

The negative that comes with animals tends to be the fact that they can be very loud, and Yara has some difficulty handling some sounds. The same actually goes for children as well, and while she gets along well enough with kids she just cannot handle the crying. As soon as things get too loud, she ends up shutting down.

🏊 Swimming - I think I’d give her a 6. Yara won’t drown in a body of water and is decent overall - she’s had to cross bodies of water before and the such, and enjoys swimming - but she’s not winning any swimming competitions anytime soon, and her technique is mediocre at best.

Myde smiles in that kind paternal way of his when it comes to the kids he's come to care about that he knows. "You've got a strong and good heart. You could let stuff keep you down but you always get back up and try to do better. And that is an amazing trait to have. Its very admirable."

If this wasn't his offspring, he would definitely have a few choices and angered words. As the other truly pushed the limits of his patience that he would never grant anyone else. That no one would even think exist that he would tolerate the disrespect this child does to him.

But he does love his son. Maybe he has no idea how to say it or express it properly but he does so it isn't hard for him.

"You sure pick the worst timing to be fishing for affection," he speaks like the annoyed father he was. Though he sighs knowing he can't stay mad at his kid. "But you are my precious treasure. A hero that I am proud of to have as my son and I have no shame in saying that even if I get mad do remember this at the least."

The only reason he avoids any direct interaction in public is that he won't be able to keep up his appearance. He loves his kid even at his worst, "I think at the least I understand a parent's affection for their kid. Even if the world turned on you, I would still be there at least know this... Which is why I do wish you understand my intentions are without any malice or ill intent."
