“I’m not scared.” Katsuki snaps at you. His shoulders are tense, though, and you can hear the irregular jump of his heart. You can see the color in his cheeks, too.

“I didn’t say you were.” You counter, quirking a brow.

“Then—just fucking—do it.”

Your smile is an amused curl; a cat that has got its angry, little canary.

“Easy, tiger.” You respond, “I’m not a barbarian. I don’t want to—“

You search for the right words, humming.

“Make a mess of you.”

Katsuki swallows hard, eyes as red as a rose, flickering up to your face.

“You’re dragging this out.” He accuses.

“I’m trying to be considerate.” You counter, stepping towards him. You step up in front of him, towering over him so that he has to tip his head up to look at you. It exposes the column of his throat. He spreads his legs a little, just fractionally, but you take that as invitation; you stand between his knees and gaze down at him.

(And really, he just thinks you’re playing with your food.)

“It’s fine,” he grunts, leaning back, “just—quit taking so long.”

You tsk, “and here I thought I’d be the impatient one. You’d think you’re the one who hasn’t eaten in days.”

“Keep wasting time and I’ll retract my agreement to this.” He snaps.

You sigh, but finally bring your knee up to settle on the couch outside of his own leg.

And just like that, you’re straddling his waist.

His hands hover, uncertain for a moment.

Oh, his poor heart.

You can hear it jump and pump and gush, quickening, tempo rising. Your mouth waters.

You touch his jaw delicately.

His hands settle tentatively on the flare of your waist.

You tip forward, eager, suddenly starving when you catch the river of a vein in his throat. Your nose nudges gently at his jaw, down to his neck. You try to control yourself. His hands squeeze uncertainly at your waist.

“Hold still for me?” You murmur.

He inhales sharply, in hot pain, when your teeth bare down on the tender line of his throat.

You groan.

His hands grasp at you, bruising, and tight. You think he can’t decide if he’s trying to get away or nearer to you.

He thrashes a little, contrary to your request, and you press harder into his shoulders. You urge him to sink back into the couch—it should only be another moment before—

His muscles, large and threatening, suddenly slacken.

His head lolls backwards a little and you catch it carefully. Cradle it like a babe.

Blood is warm and heady on your tongue.

You detach yourself only to look at his face for a moment. His eyes are dilated and hazy, heavy-lidded. Such a strong and stubborn man, such an uptight and difficult man, now soothed. Now putty in your hands.

“There,” you praise, “just lay back and relax. I’ll take care of you now.”

And this time, when you latch onto his neck, it’s his hand, broad and warm, that comes up to cradle your skull.

To hold you in place.

Your smile curves against his bloodied skin.

A cat that’s caught its canary.

anon i am sorry that this is months late!!!!! forgive me!!!!!!

you and izuku have been friends since you started working at his agency.

izuku has also been completely and utterly enamored with you since you started working at his agency.

it started off really small, he swears. just a little interest in you, the new tech assistant. he's one of the people you had to sit down with an interview with in order to get the job, and he already knew that you were right for it as soon as you started talking about how much you loved what you do.

he helped you settle in, bringing coffee to your desk every time he knew he was going to be around your assigned area. he showed you around, explaining to you the main parts of his agency and how everything works in the building; he made sure that you felt welcome.

and how could you not, with that charming smile and dimples that he flashes every time he sees you, the cute bashfulness that never fails to warm your chest, and the endless kindness that he shows to absolutely everyone.

and then from meaningless coffees every once in a while, he starts going out of his way to see you. drops by whenever he has a break, just to say hi and then end up in an engaged conversation with you that causes him to lose track of time, his assistant tracking him down and chiding him for being late to his patrol shift.

when he finds out that you sometimes forget to eat lunch he brings you one on your breaks, or even invites you out to eat with him, a bashful smile on his face and the apples of his cheek a soft red that makes it really hard for you to say no to his offer.

he's just so sweet. it kills you. you know that whatever it is the both of you have going on could never progress to anything farther, and you don't know if you want to punch him in the face for making you feel this way, or kiss him stupid because you just can't help yourself.

and izuku, oh izuku is in so much trouble.

its like every single thing you do sets him on fire. the way you smile when you notice him approaching you, the sight enough to leave him tripping over his feet. the way you laugh when he gets some food on his face because he's always been a little bit of a messy eater, and then how you use your thumb to wipe it off his face and he can feel his heart stuttering in his chest.

and trust him, he's tried, many, many times, to tell you how he feels. but then you look at him with your eyes that he swears he could get lost in, and the words disappear in his throat.

when he does manage to ask you out on dates, you don't even think anything of them, just assuming its a regular outing between two friends. It kills him a little inside every time you refer to him as just you friend. Wishes that you would see it as more. Hopes that he can one day get you to change your mind if he doesn't chicken out again.

But for now, you and Izuku are just friends.
